It’s fake, stop re-posting it, all it will get you is suspended.

Oh, I thought “mini game” was a reference to games played with minis, like the polymock game they were planning.
as for the Activities: moving the NPC to the Mysts wouldn’t change anything.. but having all of them available 24/7 would do wonders for developing communities dedicated to them.
I’d love to have a Keg Brawl league with real teams
Northern Shiverpeaks
what mini games?
Northern Shiverpeaks
No, i want that content available to all my characters.
Northern Shiverpeaks
There’s 8 crafting professions so you probably want to spread it around, like 4 chars working on 2 each.
Northern Shiverpeaks
They’re exploiting a bug, though I could’ve sworn they had fixed this a while back.. maybe submit a detailed bug report.. they could’ve missed one gate or something.
Northern Shiverpeaks
The staff probably isn’t trained to handle support tasks in Mandarin/Cantonese so they wouldn’t be able to investigate reports, and they’d have to develop a new filter for obscenities.
Once they’re up and running in China, they might be able to port the knowledge/system to the rest of us.
Northern Shiverpeaks
what does body blocking have to do with FF?
even if you make spawn areas into non-combat zones it would only move the problem, not fix it.
Northern Shiverpeaks
You would need a penalty for friendly kills, or too many friendly kills, but that’s like war too where spies would try to cause havoc on the other side, or if you give an untrained idiot a grenade, well, crap will happen.
You are gravely underestimating the damage caused by the resulting griefing possible through this. griefers would spawn camp on the waypoints.
the entire player base would quit the game in less than one week.
Northern Shiverpeaks
Siege engines really needs a range placement area
Could you please be more detailed in what this would mean? I don’t understand what you’re specifically talking about
Northern Shiverpeaks
I don’t think there’s any relation between reports and dishonor, one requires employee investigation/action, the other is automated.
Northern Shiverpeaks
So you’re saying Anet has given up on releasing any more of the map?
Well, how many new PvE zones have they release in the 15 months since Southsun?
One, the cliffs..which wasn’t a full zone and was temporary, that’s it. I don’t think they’ve “given up” on making new ones permanently.. but they certainly haven’t put many resources on it.
Northern Shiverpeaks
But maybe a 10 minute swap on Re-traiting would solve that?
I don’t think it needs a cooldown, but you should be limited in where you can do it.
imho: only cities and spawn areas, once you venture out into a zone you are locked in.
Northern Shiverpeaks
Hopefully they learned a bit from Southsun.
What they learned from Southsun was that making new maps was totally not worth it given the amount of work required and the extremely short window between content release and players getting bored of it and asking “so when’s the next one?”.
Northern Shiverpeaks
btw: when you go to Heart of the Mists, or join a PvP match from PvE, the game will remember your location in the PvE world. using the “leave the mists” button in your PvP panel will port you back to where you were in PvE.
which means you only have to leave LA once, if you move your character to the new camp in Gendarran, you can go back to PvP and just drop back to the camp anytime you want.

Every crafting station in the game gives you access to your bank tabs
Northern Shiverpeaks
after about a year of the SAME OLD missions week in and week out it’s not really worth it anymore.
…Maybe im just over MMO’s in general since it’s the same old crap over and over and over and over.
it’s not an MMO thing, it’s you repeating the same thing over and over even though you don’t enjoy it. The same would be true if it was a fighting game or a racing or any other kind of game really.
you did all you wanted to do and now you’re just going through the motions, put the game down and move on to something else, just like you would with any other game.
Northern Shiverpeaks
or in your Citadel, or anywhere there’s a crafting station really.

GW2 went down from 81 mio in Q4 2012 to 23.1 mio in Q4 2013.
what is a ‘mio’?
Northern Shiverpeaks
@GrandmaFunk
There are some videos in the GW2 section @dulfy.com
There’s quite a few videos on there, could you be a bit more specific about which specific ones had the stuff you were expecting this week?
Northern Shiverpeaks
No class or balance addresses which were given on previews
Do you have a link to these previews? I haven’t seen/read anything about them so I’m curious
Northern Shiverpeaks
If it’s not released before season 2, it’s not getting released till may.
If it’s not released by season 2. I’m going to go play ESO and drop GW2 for good.
Is that really the only thing currently holding you back?
as in you don’t enjoy this game at all and would rather play something else but if they’d only just slightly bump the number of points you have on a few stats/abilities then the game is worth sticking around for?
Northern Shiverpeaks
Some of us worked really hard to complete the meta, as well as win our tier.
The relative amount of “hard work” that individual players put in had absolutely nothing to do with who won each league.
Northern Shiverpeaks
Ahh… most of your criticisms apply to any scoring system though even the current one.
Go ahead and demonstrate how because I don’t see it.
Northern Shiverpeaks
to get the title you have to get your MF maxxxxed, not just maxxed.
Northern Shiverpeaks
Most are parked at JP chests, one is parked at the daily activity guy and one is parked at an Orr karma merchant.
I WvW/PvE with my current main, sPvP with whichever of my alts has the least amount of wins.
Northern Shiverpeaks
The second one is easy since there is no “tick” any longer. Every kill and death counts.
my response was to OP’s suggestion, which most definitely still uses ticks.
Northern Shiverpeaks
Say after 1am until 1pm all the objectives give no ppt and can’t be flipped.
For whose timezone? and why is your time worth more than that of people who are on a different schedule than you?
Northern Shiverpeaks
PvP UI to display number of players on each team.
Northern Shiverpeaks
A lot of those are full species which have several different builds/models.
Northern Shiverpeaks
gets suggested about once a week, fails on two points:
-get lead, drop out, win since opponents can’t catch up now that points are worth less.
-everyone drops out a few seconds before tick, then joins back 20 seconds later.
Northern Shiverpeaks
ps: the gem store picks/axes/scythes are closer to being pay-to-lose than pay-to-win.
you could spend the same number of gems on gold and buy WAY more of those resources on the TP whereas it would take over a decade of daily harvesting to ever get your money’s worth out of the extra sprockets
Northern Shiverpeaks
no… a common misconception. “Mob” predates MMOs entirely and means something completely different from “blob”
Mob = MOB which stands for: “Mobile Object” or just “Mobile” if you prefer. It describes a creature or object which moves within the game.
I was referring specifically to the English word ‘mob’, as in:
noun : 1: a large crowd of people, especially one that is disorderly and intent on causing trouble or violence: a mob of protesters
Northern Shiverpeaks
they both predate gw2 and they’re both stand-ins for the word “mob”, which accurately represents what we use the words zerg/blob for, but which has another completely different meaning in the context of MMOs
Northern Shiverpeaks
zerg and blob are completely interchangeable terms in the context of GW2, regardless of any personal bias you might have for one over the other.
Northern Shiverpeaks
even if you limit it to pve-only there would be a lot of problems with performance and encounter scaling/balance.
Northern Shiverpeaks
As to GW2, how is it not P2W? Please point out how I can get good looking new armors in the last year that doesn’t involve the gem store? Or perhaps tell me how I can obtain watchwork sprockets next week outside of the vastly superior gem store only mining pick? Or maybe tell me how I can reasonably participate in super adventure box hard mode without the gem store only coin? Or maybe the gem store only resource packs for ascended jewelcrafting… I could go on and on, but that isn’t the purpose of this thread. I’m certainly not alone, many people see GW2 as a P2W game now, but that is just the way the market is heading, people have more money than time.
None of the things you mention relate to winning or to having a game play advantage over other players strictly because one paid real money and the others did not.

World Completion+explorer and jumping puzzle achievements
Northern Shiverpeaks
in what way is Call Target not meeting this need?
Northern Shiverpeaks
I often miss the sixth bonus in Raid because of it.
Runes are free, what exactly is stopping you from properly setting the rune on your breather?
Northern Shiverpeaks
yes, that’s the problem, rewarding mindless objectives trains rather than actual gameplay.
and your suggestion would only make it worse.
Northern Shiverpeaks
Applied only to those who have contributed 500+ points, to deter map drop-ins
So only reward players capturing objectives and continue to ignore any kind of defensive effort?
that’s exactly what was missing from WvW :/
Northern Shiverpeaks
unfortunately that breaks one of Anet’s main design principles: always be happy that someone comes to help you.
tying it directly to ‘points divided by players’ would lead to a lot of QQ when someone jumps in at the last minute to tag your enemy and cuts your reward in half.
Also, it only addresses one of the factors.. it doesn’t take into account how many players were on the other side of the fight(4 players killing 1 of 1 is a lot easier than 4 players killing 1 of 25), differences in stats due to bloodlust, level, quality of equipment, etc..
if there was a simple one-size-fits-all solution, they would’ve thought of it long ago.
Northern Shiverpeaks
The main challenge with raising the rewards for player kills is that not all kills are equal.
some require herculean efforts, some are acquired with no effort or risk at all.
If there was a better way of evaluating that, then a scaling reward would be great. without it, all it does is reward the zerg for zerging, and there’s already way more than enough of that.
Northern Shiverpeaks
Since I’ve gone all-orichalcum (too many resources ruined by absentmindedly equipped mithril tools), that tells me nothing. It’s like, "Okay, so this Orichalcum Mining Pick is exactly the same as the one I’m currently using. Hmm, I wonder how many more uses I have on that one? Too bad it doesn’t give me that information here.
I’m really puzzled as to how that information would provide any use at all.
so you have two ori picks that have different amounts of uses left… what changes by knowing which is which?
Northern Shiverpeaks
pets/clones/minions count as targets but I believe that players are prioritized over them.
Northern Shiverpeaks
This has been discussed before, they can easily split the maps. A cleansed Orr for those who have completed the game and one for those who havn’t yet.
The problem with that solution is that “oldschool” Orr would be underpopulated and new players trying to get through it would have an even harder time.
Northern Shiverpeaks
They really need to make all activities available all the time.
Keg Brawl could actually develop real teams and maybe even some homemade leagues.
Northern Shiverpeaks
which wouldn’t really help anyway, it would just flatten the leaderboard so that there’s thousands of player tied for first with whatever the cap value is.
