lots of ppl still enjoy WvW, myself included.

there’s really no reason whatsoever to remove it, you could still implement everything you’re asking for without removing WvW

With megaservers.. it doesn’t really matter what build anyone plays when it comes to WBE, everyone is equally useful/useless when the boss melts in 90 seconds because there’s 100+ ppl hitting it with auto-attack.

for the money you spent on a second account, you could’ve bought gems→gold→Ori/Ancient and saved yourself a few dozen hours of tedious farming.

the size of the wheels, the frame’s shape/height and the lack of suspension makes it impossible to use said wheel to move the siege engine across rough terrain over anything other than very short distances.

The griefing potential is more than enough to make this idea a non-starter..

but let’s ignore the malicious problems for now and think about these: what happens at waypoints? the trading post NPCs at hubs?

Probably, but potential benefits of such feature are far outweigh it’s few shortcomings.

the “shortcomings” of body-block griefing are straight up game killing.

so roamers don’t count, low pop servers don’t count, new map doesn’t count, new abilities don’t count…

basically nothing counts as an update because it doesn’t serve you personally.

also, assuming you did mean sPvP and not WvW… you do not level at all by playing sPvP.

I’m quite happy with DS though I do wish Dark Path’s projectile speed got bumped up a bit.. it rarely ever connects so I stopped trying to use it altogether.

I’m fairly certain we could access guild bank from LA overflows, why would this be any different? the guild features, such as the vault, are tied to your home server.. you home server doesn’t change because you’re on a different instance, only if you transfer or guest.

Ok, so assuming at a given moment the 3 teams on one map are perfectly balanced with 100 players each.

Then a party of 5 players from one server leaves to go do a dungeon. For your request to work the system would now have to kick 4 players from the other two server out of the map.

Do you want to be one of those 4 players? Do you think that would be a fun gaming experience or do you think it would lead to a lot of rage and frustration.

To play devil’s advocate to your devil’s advocate, a multiboxer could leave his accounts unattended for X period of time and swap items out to refresh his timers every once in a while all while actually doing things on his main account and simultaneously spying on his alt accounts who are lying dead in key locations.

If someone is multiboxing multiple accounts and wants to spy, they don’t need to “lie dead in key locations”, they’ll just move one account to the enemy server so that they can see AND hear what the enemy is doing.

Being able to swap trait templates on the fly in WvW would lead to a very very boring meta, especially when considering the growing number of hard counters they contain.

Why do we have overflows?

Because overflows are zone-specific and the maximum number of ppl that can fit in a zone is much much smaller than the total population of a server.

sorry to break it to you but that actually is against the rules. If you organize a group of players to afk on a map to purposefully force a queue, that falls under match manipulation.

it doesn’t matter all that much as there are many other elements that skew the balance.

as soon as the Bloodlust buffs are not split 1-1-1, one of the players will have a stat advantage anyway.

I’d be happy with any bump to the other stats since we never got anything when they removed magic find.

It does if there’s less than 10 attackers. everything is relative.

hot-swap builds in WvW is where I stop playing.

This is simply the sad fate of edge servers, current coverage/activity on NSP is too strong for Bronze while being too weak to compete in Silver.

it’s the same situation for whoever is on the edge between Silver and Gold. In either case it’s going to be nothing but uneven matches all season.

And while I prefer being challenged by fighting stronger opponents.. given the choice I’d much rather we go down to Bronze this time around, we already did our tour of duty at the bottom of Silver last season.

That being said, I’m putting exactly the same amount of effort when I play regardless of who we’re playing against and what will happen to our ranking.

Lastly, ppl really need to drop all these silly claims of “server A has more skill just less numbers” or “that server sucks they just have numbers”.

skill levels vary way too much from player to player and from guild to guild, there’s no such thing as ‘server skill’.

PPT will never be fair anyway, so trying to “fix it” isn’t my priority.

being able to play on the map that I want to when I want/can is what’s important to me.

the ambient kills is one I do without ever thinking.. because I play WvW with a Necro and there’s a bunch of them at spawn so you can charge your LF.

If you can’t see why open pvp would have a big performance hit, take a few friends with you and go stand in the middle of an event with 20+ players, then you and your friends all trigger a costume brawl.

then watch the stream of obscenities every player will yell at you as everyone’s performance completely bottoms out.

that’s a really small hit compared to what you’d experience if those same number of pvp players had access to real builds with all the conditions, boons, fields and finishers.

I would throw Ferguson’s Crossing into the mix, but after hearing they are purposely tanking so they can stay in Bronze (and try to get free transfers).

As someone currently fighting them, I can assure you they are not tanking anything.

I’d even say that the only reason NSP is currently projected to drop down to Bronze is because of how hard FC is pushing on us despite being third in the matchup.
