This will not be a problem for me as I will be buying the expansion. It will certainly not be easy for me but knowing it is coming I am saving up already. And I think that anyone who really cares that much about moving forward in the LW will be doing that also.

To answer your point more directly OP – what people who don’t buy the expansion will get is basically exactly what we have now. If you’re happy enough to play with Tyria as it is right now, why would this suddenly become unacceptable? No-one has the expac yet and here we all are, playing the game, still finding plenty to do – why do you feel that something is somehow being taken away from you if you don’t get the expac?

Hmmm. The corset is truly gorgeous. But below that it just turns into another stockings-and-suspenders outfit, which is a) tacky, and b) won’t work well on my Asura.

I’m incredibly happy with this, I just bought the Imperial outfit (looks totally awesome in just about ANY colour scheme), and I’ll get the Ancestral as soon as I have enough pennies. I actually didn’t like the Witch and Hexed outfits that much. And although the male Courtier (or whatever it’s called, I can’t remember without checking) outfit looks super-cute on my little female Asura necro, I can’t help hankering after the female version.

I think the collections are really just meant to be a bit of fun. As in, it might actually be fun to go off in search of your last couple of items to complete a collection. It’s a game. Fun. Y’know. That thing you play games for. Fun.

I think Guild halls will actually be quite a fun option for big, busy guilds. I haven’t really spent too much time thinking about it though, because I suspect my teeny tiny guild of just my family members is unlikely to be able to achieve anything more than a cardboard box under a boardwalk somewhere LOL …does anyone know if trailers are going to be an option?

The thing I like about SW is that there’s always something going on, I can turn up and just join in with something straight away. Or I can run past and go farming, if I prefer. But I like that there’s no hanging around waiting for something to happen.

It brings into sharp contrast the new daily of 4 events in a particular map – I never realised how few events there are on some maps, and how hard you have to look to find them. It only makes me like SW more really.

I so rarely found myself on a winning team. Or perhaps, to put it another way, they were no longer winning teams once I was on them lol

But to answer your q – I’m pretty confident my ping is always terribad lol… I think my real irritation with this is that I used to have no problem with the #3, but now I do, since around megaserver introduction time; would that have any effect on it? If not, then what’s changed? Very odd.

Honestly, if someone can afford to use up a character slot just to have a char parked at a jp chest, then let them lol…I don’t have any beef with mesmers porting either really – I usually don’t use them because I love doing the jp, but it takes the frustration out of it for those who don’t

Location: Thaumanova Reactor in Metrica Province
Prerequisite: Matrix Cube Key (fully charged)

Okay, there is something I have to say concerning this event. After putting the effort into finding these keys and charging them, I can open the ogre chamber whenever its available to me. I don’t have to wait until after Fire Elemental (WBT) before I open it. After hearing people scream at me, send me hate mail, try to get me reported for trolling and/or griefing… I find it increasingly difficult to continue being nice about it.

Let me clarify a bit on what is happening.

My guild runs a WBT every night (except holidays and patch days) and when we call everyone over to FE — we usually like to do Steam Ogre beforehand. Why? Two main reasons: 1) Actively doing something is better than standing around in the FE chamber waiting for it to spawn and 2) Normally we have other places to be. Remember that outside of the horrible World Boss Schedule there are Temples and other T2 world bosses that aren’t on a schedule. We have scouts and preppers out calling them when available. So when we’re at FE we normally do Ogre>FE>T2/Temple>Shatterer (roughly).

Where is the conflict? When we are in the process of pulling all of our guild members onto the same map shard we warn in Map chat that we’re opening Ogre before FE. Usually the 3 minute mark. Unfortunately the amount of hate we’re getting for it is starting to wear on me. I don’t have to warn in map chat – please remember that – but I do because it is the considerate thing to do. We’re perfectly capable of opening the chamber without saying a word. But, again, the hate is starting to wear on me.

For any of you reading this that have sent me hateful messages and the like:

• Reporting me will do nothing because I’m not doing anything wrong or worthy of a report.
• Blocking me doesn’t bother me but may cause you to miss a future Ogre call out.
• Outwardly expressing your anger at me may end up causing me to report you, depending on the vulgarity used.

So to everyone reading this…
Please pay attention to map chat and be kind to those around you.

This thread is now a bit TL:DR, so I’m going to just answer the OP.

If you do something in a way that is contrary to the way the majority of participants want to do it, they will complain, and you will have to suck it up.

Given that YOU SAY YOURSELF people are unhappy about it, and are TELLING YOU they’re unhappy about it, why do you keep on doing it like that? The only reason to continue to do it that way is basically to troll everyone else, because you’re feeling hissy about them complaining.

Quit complaining. If you want to carry on annoying everyone else in the map then you better just suck it up, princess. What answer were you expecting?

LOL last night I was doing Sparkfly Fen events when suddenly Teq spawned and I was right in the middle of it O.O

I killed some things and defended batteries and stayed alive and got – somehow – 3 achievements and a ton of loot it’s the first time I’ve ever done it!

Btw is it fairly normal to beat teq, or did I just get lucky? Fun anyway

Tbh i am a bit concerned about this expansion lol. Last time they released an update for daily reward system it managed to break fractal rewards and legendary weapons. I can only imagine what huge expansion can do to this game.

I want actual female armours for female Asura. Even just to be able to wear the female versions of existing armour would be nice, but dresses… dresses would make me PURDY

I can absolutely guarantee that I will be ordering this as soon as it’s available to order. All I’m waiting for is the date. I don’t care if it comes with bonus features for preorders or not, that’s not why I’m buying it, so I don’t care if they’re of debatable value.

Yeh, you do have to look everything up on the net, and for most of those things it really shouldn’t be necessary, there should be a little more helpful info in-game I feel.

I have been playing since just after GW2 came out, and I STILL have not completed a legendary, and am STILL finding out things I can’t believe you don’t find out about through playing.

A few more pointers in-game would actually be useful.

I’m in the UK and was just trying to work it out. We’re on GMT at the moment because it’s winter. I think 8.30am Pacific will be 4.30pm GMT. (That’s only 7.5 hours before reset as reset is at midnight for me, I’m on a US server though if that makes any difference.)

CET is one hour ahead I think, so that would be 5.30pm.
