If you rally people for it and tell them the mechanics maybe that would help. I’ve always gone to this boss first.
Mechanic- Stealth detection (Nuhoch mastery) when he stealths and repositions you need to break his breakbar to interrupt instant death. Some skills can mitigate this, Revenant Glint heal and Ele “Rebound” for example.
I have to agree actually. Although all we can do is notify Anet of anything seemingly UP/OP, and don’t really get a say in how things are balanced, a new subforum solely for it is necessary for discussion. These forums are messy now with the new additions.
I’d also suggest a Guild Hall subgroup too.
I’ll agree that scribing and the way we make decorations needs a serious look at. The cost of simple decorations is laughable for a personal craft. If Scribing was guild-bound and had a system separate to donate to craft things it would be better.
On the topic of scaling the cost of the hall itself, the requirements are constant whether you are 5 in guild or 50. Input X to get Y. Realistically, if you look at each upgrade they are all doable if you’re a small guild, the only difference between a small guild and a large guild is time.
I’d double check what upgrades your guild pushed through and check what mats were required for them at each buildings foreman. You’d be surprised what we need Linseed Oil for.
Scribes use their own pool of materials from personal bank and only use Decorations in your Guilds storage, so that’s not it.
Once they are in the treasury no one else can access them and they’re only for Hall Upgrades, are you sure you put them into the treasury?

They are still a business. Why only 10 youngest players? They will rely on parents to buy games for them or save their pocket money.
Why not the elderly? They only have their pensions after all.
Why not the minimum wage workers? They have very little money to spend on themselves.
Why not students? They spend their loans on rent/food/studying resources and are thousands of pounds in debt.
So these kids you want to give the game to probably have the better means to obtain this game than someone who works hard for a living a barely scrapes by.
Biasing a prize draw is bad in any situation. And there was a few game giveaways before HoT released. These were player funded. Which meant A net didn’t lose out. What you suggest is that A net lose money for a meaningless prize draw.
I suggest you buy 10 copies and do a random prize draw with Anets consent.
And you wonder why this thread was buried…
It opens up with Guild Level 40s Further Exploration but there’s nothing in it yet. Awaiting further additions to build in the new area.
At Dawdler, the WvW building in the hollow is east of the Tavern. I dont think they will add another building for WvW.

Autoloot from Mastery not working in WvW ?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Haleydawn.3764
I finally found a quote from Anet :
It says " can clarify this a bit. If you waypoint away before something dies and it dropped loot, you won’t immediately get it. If you return to the area, you will get the loot as soon as you can see it. It will basically pick up all loot you can see.
The exception is WvW, since loot bags always spawns at your feet. If you waypoint, the loot will spawn at your location and should get immediately picked up."So this confirms that this mastery is intended to work in WvW. Thus the current situation is definitely a bug. I hope they fix this soon
Your bolded quote actually confirms that Pact Autoloot is not (definition “except”, not including) intended for WvW. Because loot in WvW spawns at your characters feet and not on player enemies. If you waypoint before something dies which then subsequently dies, the loot will spawn at your feet with the intention that you loot it.
However due to popular demand I’m sure they will add a line in WvW ability to allow Autoloot as a similar function to pact Autoloot in PvE. Problem is when they will add something for WvW. ????
Yeah this UI bug had me confused when it wasn’t tallying.
The mission does complete though when it has been fulfilled.
Been there since HoT beta. It’s only gathering tool skins though.
They’re called adventures, not challenges…
Besides, you get mastery points left and right for doing mundane tasks like opening strongboxes or jumping up/gliding down to a place of power or hidden locations. So difficulty is still not the point (of mastery points).
A rose by any other name…
“I’m here to showcase Adventures, a brand-new style of content coming in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns™. Adventures are small, fast-paced, single-adventurer events that challenge you to master a wide variety of skills in a race against the clock.”
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/adventuring-forth/
As I said. Some need tweaks. Others I feel are perfect.
Having some points easier to get than others is normal for a game that wants linear progressions.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
Most adventures are easy enough to at least get a silver in. Didn’t take me hours of practice. I get that some people hate twitch games but asking to nerf all of the solo content ie the adventures is not the answer. Only a couple of them need tweaks.
The only adventures I think are far too hard to get gold in are
A fungus among us
Haywire punchomatic
Shooting Gallery
Tendril torchers.
Rifle test.
Out of Those the shooting gallery and Rifle test is hard to get a silver in too. Haywire is Just manageable.
The rest of the adventures I think are pretty balanced. Its a challenge, God forbid you’d have to practice at something which is supposed to be challenging.
And you don’t need a gold in all of them to max your masteries. You dont need a silver in all of them either. Just some silvers and golds on the easier ones is enough points.
I agree with Mastery points being for these adventures. Having to challenge yourself to master it. Isn’t that the point?
Have you thought about colour overlay programs for your PC? They might be a solution for you until A net implements a colourblind mode.
Agreed. I love Horologicus, but the lack of animation for something that should obviously be animated was a huge let down. Glints Bastion is animated so why not Horologicus?

Dragon Stand meta for the sheer amount of mobs/events. Using all the boosters I had, I gained 40/50% of my Ley Line Gliding XP before Mouth fight. Was happy I could then use it for that fight.
At least the WvW supply lines missions are bugged too. Tally for escorts doesn’t count at all.
So, MMO’s require half decent laptops/desktops to be able to be played at reasonable fps. How is it a game designers fault your hardware isn’t up to scratch?
+1 quicksilver grenade trails/Juggernaut projectile effects for Revenant too.
Most missions can’t be completed with 5-7 people.
You’re right. Most can’t be completed with <10 people. If our guild is short on mission runners, we actually kindly ask in map chat for people to join us. It works. PvP missions are practically balanced for 5 people too.
WvW requires at least 3 guild members, again, easy.
We did all but 2 missions last week, the 5 target bounty we skipped and the Stronghold mission (why that even popped up, idk, Stronghold being disabled and all.)
So Favor isn’t an issue either. The 10% added bonus for selecting no preference on missions is good too.
All this thread is proving to me that most of you want everything unlocked, at a heavily reduced cost, regardless of whether you use the feature or not, because you want shiney pretty things but don’t want to forgo the effort.
I’ve not had more than 60g since HoT released because I dump it into the treasurey (yes you can still acquire gold after that magical date of Oct 23rd) and most guild members have done the same. Most looked at how much gold I had previously, then where we are now, but didn’t think of the almost 2 months in between? Of actually setting targets with upgrades in mind? The mind boggles.
On that note, my last post in thread. Its like a brick wall.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
I do wonder why I am quoted here in a post about your guilds being friends etc.
Back story: my guild is made of friends, we’ve been gaming together for 6+yrs. We selectively recruit in Gw2, the last recruits that we invited who fit into our group and have properly integrated was about a year ago, and that was 2 people.
We talk to each other outside of Gw2 and make efforts to meet each other and hang out, travel constraints apply.
Influence was easy to earn, since you could buy it, as well as passively earn it.
The guild buffs are a grey area. Technically they removed the old buffs in favour of the new ones. Actuality they refurbed them and stuck them behind a Guild hall. In all fairness, I don’t tend to notice I’m getting 10% more whatever but I get that some people feel they are a big thing.
I hate what was done to guilds but I’m loving all this guild hall stuff now. You all dump your resources into that endless hole for a few decorations and make my resources much more valuable.
Like I’d be spending all my time in a guild hall and not playing the game….
I love this. A guild hall is not the be-all-end-all of the game.
No one guild needs a Guild hall. But it’s one helluva great place to hang out. I feel that most complaining about the build requirements are blowing it out of proportion. You don’t need to max a Guild treasurey to regain guild buffs. Nor do people need to max a Guild hall to be able to hang out in it.
Try again.
No thanks. I will stop wasting my time with your condescending answers and just end this with a “I don’t believe you when you say that 5-7 people with almost no gold farmed all the mats needed to go to level 31 themselves in 1 month”.
If five to seven people all had alts and all participated in wood farming, religiously, then yeah, the probably could just sell the wood and get what they need. But yeah it’s not something most would find fun.
Most of us had alts parked at flax farms, and really we just did the content, salvaged everything, donated what was needed, sold what we didn’t and bought what we did need.
Assuming we were just rich players in game was far more condescending then my reply, I assure you.
It took effort. Not credit cards or hours of mindless farming though.
The treasurey is a tough but fair mistress.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
Have you tried selecting the skin before accepting.
I am not the OP and I don’t have a small guild.
However, you are the person who said “cost is fine” and this is probably because your 5-7 persons in your guild are above average rich in-game, which is what my post was about. For 5-7 average wealthy GW2 players, the cost of bringing a guild hall to level 31 within a month is not “fine”.
Those 5-7 people in my guild walked into HoT with around 50g each. I personally had 25ish gold.
None of us buy gems for gold.
Most of us work full time.
Try again.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
“The cost of used cars is fine” says the average person.
“The cost of Porsches is fine” says the manager across the street.
“The cost of Lamborghinis is fine” says the lottery winner. But only egocentric people take their own standard of “fine” and think it has to apply to everyone else too. What might be “fine” for you may not be “fine” for others.
We aren’t talking about 1 person buying 1 thing. A guild pools their resources allowing for greater things, that’s the point.
For example, I couldn’t buy my own home by myself, but with the help of my now future husband we bought our own home last year.
1 average person can’t buy a 10 bedroom mansion, but 10 people (or even 10 couples) could very well pool together to be able to afford it.
This is the point of a Guild. You may say that people who are a duo guild should have lower requirements, but the fact is, a Guild of less than 5 is a glorified party. There’s many small guilds making the system work, but asking for something to make smaller guilds be able to get what other slightly bigger guilds are getting, at a reduced requirement, would be unfair to those guilds of the same size making it work.
Problem= My micro guild can’t build a Guild hall.
Solution= Expand your guild.
Sorry This isn’t the answer you want to hear but This is most definitely the solution to your issues. Not reducing requirements.
This was why A net encouraged the Guild Recruitment a couple of months ago.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
+1 scribing should be a Guild Level, and the craft made into a normal cost for levelling on characters.
More recipes for it, and what you can level on pushes the guilds overall Scribal Knowledge.
That this thread will be merged soon.
On another note, my small guild consisting of 5-7 active people donating is now Level 31. The cost of it is fine imo.
So…just for giggles….
If race change is as much an issue as it is because of how they coded it….
…What makes you think they wouldn’t have coded the class based kitten the same way?Hmmmm?
Because there are mechanics, story, rewards and achievements based on your race and nothing based on your class.
There are a few dialogue changes throughout the story based on your profession actually (one would call this a mechanic) One that sticks in my head is exploring through Scarlets first pad in Drytop as an Engineer.
PvP profession pie and statistics.
Those Champion profession titles would also like to have a word.
This is the same par as race change on the coding side tbh.
It would drive character slot sales down too.

Daily/monthly AP cap of 15k.
These nodes are once per account per day. No matter how many guilds.
Does guild of level 28 have the lumber node unlocked? If not, that’s why.
However, these nodes are bugged, we’ve upgraded ours to give more, yet only the mining node does by 1. And they still only ouput copper/green wood, when we should be getting other mats too.
I also bought this game 3yrs ago, and bought HoT after the first beta weekend.
I for one am really enjoying it. There’a a lot to do, most of which is not neccessarily mandatory either.
The depth of the maps, and the design in general is amazing. The music in particular is fantastic (I personally love Auric Basin ambient music).
Each map was really well thought out to give a different play experience compared to core Tyria. If some people don’t like that, core Tyria is still there.
I honestly can’t say there’s something I don’t like with the content. Some tweaks are needed to how maps fill/map closes and the megaserver system. But that’s it.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
Its a big shame this is what leagues and mmr has done.
I’m sure that creating match ups based on you division tier, matching equal tier to either equal or next tier would have been better, without mmr on top of it.
Isn’t that how leagues are supposed to work? It is it’s own ranking system, mmr shouldn’t be in leagues. It leaves it open to this disgusting behaviour.
You play matches to go up the PvP league and get tickets. You buy what you need from the vendor. And you get another gift by completing the 4 meta achievements and combining them in the forge.
Check the metaachievement under the Competitive tab and you’ll know what you need to do.
It is a back item to use where ever. Dunno what made you think otherwise. Its exclusive to PvP since you can only earn it in PvP.
It’s not random, it is in alphabetical order of the specialisation name. You can kill each mushroom once a day per account per map. That makes for 6 per day in total I believe ( 1 in VB, 1 in AB, 1 in TD and 3 in DS).
Agreed, it’s not the best system, better would have been to first asign it to the class that killed the shroom and after that they could go alphabetical. But you at least you can get it in 2 days.
Good luck with the collection.
Isn’t that skin the reward for 2nd tier of the precursor colllection?
No, they modified the precursors. The first/second/final collections looked like battered/refined versions of the actual legendary.
Click the link in my last post.
How would you abuse it with a large guild? Also if you want a bigger guild you just put in The money needed from The new players? So price is The same no matter IF u are 10 or 150
The price is the same for guilds as it is. The gold/favor needed, the materials is the same right now. Monetizing more of it defeats the object of the whole treasurey system.
As I said, There’s already small guilds doing fine with the current system.
And I wouldn’t want any of them basically taxed by expanding their roster past 10/25 etc members. Say you have a Guild with 24 people then you get taxed Xg for adding one more because you entered a 25-50 bracket. How would a Guild leader manage that “hey guys I know you all donate what you can but now I need 25g off all of you to accomodate the new guy”
What happens to that tax when your roster shrinks? Do we get it refunded?
The guild hall pricing is fine as it is. My small guild is doing fine with the upgrades in the hall. We tend to have 5-8 people regularly donating to treasury. 2-3 of them with substantial amounts. And none was bought with IRL money.
Your suggestion would be open for abusing by big guilds. Or guilds who didn’t want to/couldn’t afford the gold for simply expanding their guild will never grow. Imagine inviting a new guilds to be met with a Guild message “your hall is too small, the treasury requires 1500g to enable all services again”. Nope. Really silly idea. That would definitely kill small guilds who are actually building a Guild hall rather quickly, doing absolutely fine with this system already.

There’s 9 different spores. One for each weapon collection, all with the same name and tooltip. And it’s random which one you get until all the specs have the spore, then it stops dropping.
I think you only get the spore once per day per map you killed the mushroom.
Edit: Clarity.

I run a mile when I see the dreaded 50/80/90/100% whatever in guild recruitment.
I joined one just to be able to do some guild missions and ended up playing offline a lot to avoid them. I left their guild after a week then they /w me asking me questions. It was a bit weird.
Lucky I’ve got my main guild. Which is just full of awesome people who I’ve known for 6 years. We are not numbers in our guild. We all know each other by first name basis, and we are friends outside of this game.
With the new mission changes we have been getting on great with them.
Hopefully this rep trend is dying out though. I can understand repping for guild organised events. But that should be it.
You shouldn’t have to ask for 100%, if the people in guild gel well enough, it happens automatically.

The only way to get the old The Hunter skin without getting The Hunter itself, was through PvP. It was the only precursor which didn’t have a cheaper duplicate exotic in PvE (Crystalline Blade looked like Zap, Usokus Needle was Spark).
And we all know what happened when the wardrobe came in.
And now the precursers have been modifed. The old Hunter skin is now unobtainable. I was lucky enough to get this in PvP 2 years ago. I guess it’s just another in my collection.
The Hunter

There’s 9 different spores, all with the same name and tooltip, 1 for each collection. Not a bug, intentionally designed this way.
@Affinity, it is random drop until your unlocked collections fill out, then it stops dropping.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
Yes same issue for my guild.
Nice! Are you buying mats or gathering, or a combo of the two?
A combo. It’s hard work! =.= but my guild is full of nice friendly helpful people all round.
Haleydawn.3764, how many scribes do you have working in your guild?
2, any scribe mats are regularly donated by guild members willingly :P
However, I do wish that the scribing level was either a normal craft within reach of each player in a Guild, or the the level was tied to the guild with free access to all wanting to progress it’s level.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
Ok, so you only need 3 Guild members on the same server for the WvW missions. The rest server doesn’t matter.
The material requirement is fine for guilds that aren’t chock full of solo players who want to keep ALL of their mats. Players that are solely in it for themselves (nothing wrong with this, but you can’t have your cake and eat it too) Members that want to build the hall need balance about what they should/shouldn’t donate.
I personally feel the buffs are better now, no need to re-queue them, you can reselect which ever one you want when ever you like. Tbh the old buffs were a pain to keep up all the time.
My small guild of 10 active members is guild level 25, and we’re an aetherium cap away from Tavern 2 upgrade. We have 3 more guild enhancements to build, but we’ve got the materials for those done. The last building we need 2nd upgrade on is the workshop. Arena, market and warroom have their 2nd upgrades, we just keep filling them out now :P

Is anyone having a problem purchasing mystic forge stones from Black Lion Trading Post. When I select them nothing happens.
They’ve most likely been disabled from purchase from the trading post since the stones being tradable was a bug.
It disappears if you’re in an area that is not needed for 100%:Been there, Done that. Itdoesn’t show it HoT maps either but in core Tyria it is visible again. SW and DT being the grey area in between old and new.
(edited by Haleydawn.3764)
Yeah your other 3 must have converted to Enchanted Combat Boosts.
Did you have enough boosters in your inventory that would convert into the Enchanted Reward Booster when using the powder?
