One of the perks of paying for the expansion is to gain access to the elite specialisation. So, maybe you should buy it like everyone else using them.

Free to play players have far more account restrictions than non HoT account holders.

I’ve done this story step on a few of my characters, including my main and squishiest in game, a thief.

I’m up for going again on normal or Migraine once another character is near the end so if you’re on EU and I’m online (add me in friends list) I’ll gladly come along.

The f3 skill is pretty much on par with other blocks ingame given the cooldown and duration, it’s not even a full block, it’s 180° block.

I’d much rather see the f2 nerfed, the amount a guard can heal via this and meditations ontop of the heal skill is ridiculous for a build that isn’t using healing power or vitality.

Oh I’m not sweating it Illconcieved, this is more as a curiousness to see if it is being looked at too.

I may have made my Juggy a year or so before HoT landed but it gave new life into this particular legendary. Loads of people decided to make it when Rev and Scrapper hit, and I’m sure people in both camps would like to see both issues fixed. ^^

Unsure where to put this but it’s more an oversight on a missing effect than a bug. In the known issue tracker it states:
Items: The Juggernaut does not provide visual effects for Grenade Barrage.

Could this please include projectile effects for Revenant hammer? Seems unfair to address one issue but not the same issue for another profession.

1- you can go into WvW with any gear you want. You might die more but you may even learn how to play better. I personally roam and zerg with my full berserker thief. I am by no means a hardcore WvW’er as I enjoy all 3 game modes, but my last session of 2hrs I died twice. That’s not a lot really.

2- if what you state it’s too much buying new armor or buying some with dungeon tokens and just buying runes/sigils etc then I’ve got some real bad news when you actually start making a legendary.
If you want to make more legendarys you will need that armor longer than you think so maybe it is worth it afterall, if you think you need the armor in the first place, which you don’t.

Honestly, this whole Gift of Battle thing is being blown completely out of proportion. Had those who have sat in LA doing nothing, or doing yet another multiloot, or whatever you do for the umpteenth time, or check the forums for something to complain about, actually spent this time in WvW, you’d have the Gift that you’ve been complaining about.

What I would like is for the Gift of Battle track to run as a constant track with an optional reward of the Gift or something else (T6 materials?) alongside another track of our choosing. I’m currently trying to get Triumphant boxes in prep for making pieces of the Hero’s armor, so I don’t want to sacrifice one for the other.
Another would be to add the Battle track to PvP in the same concept.

How I see it is, Anet wants people to WvW for the Gift of Battle (obviously). They want to include some form of PvP while making a legendary.

By making it a reward track instead of a collection “To-do list”, you can do anything in WvW to progress the track. It’s probably far quicker to do the track than gain the badges, not done the maths here, but in the last month maybe of very casual WvW I’ve done 1 and a half of a reward track and barely scraped 500 badges. Which is a shame because I’d like a few more badges due to the discounted racial tier armor to finish the collections. :P

The point of The Invisible Boot box was to be a rare drop not everyone should get.

When this bugged for me the last time I did this story, which was a few months ago, it’s because I did too much damage too quickly and the instance kind of got stuck. There should still be an easy work around though.

Did the eye teleport to the outskirts and back twice before you downed it? If not, it sounds like the same bug I got. Just restart and hold back a bit and basically wait for the content to catch up with you.

Ohoni can kick and scream all he likes. Game mode exclusives will still happen. Lots of people are happy for it.

People are just going to have to jump the bar for said items like everyone else. This is where it helps to enjoy all game modes.

You want an item, you earn it. Not ask that how to earn it is changed to make it easier for you. That’s ridiculous. Like being employed but asking your supervisor if you can do half/something else for the same pay.

What bothers me the most is the fact my matches are determined not only by me but how well 4 other people perform.

Why should anyones MMR be determined by a w/l ratio that 4 other people control aswell?

Why not a kill/death ratio with match participation? MMR should be about the players effort, not the teams. That’s why it’s called personal match-making rating

New players being carried by their starting line average mmr then being teamed with slightly above average 1k+ ranked players. Which then tanks the genuine average-above average players. That’s just not fun. At all.

Clone death traits were the worst Ithilwen. Everyone complains about passives yet you want to bring back the number one culprit? No. Thank. You.

To the OP, I like this suggestion. Years ago my go to was power shatter and I really miss it. Mesmers should be more than just portals and moas.

It’s a left over from the scribing structure (the tent and boxes) before the upgrade that rebuilds it.

Not a huge deal, I find it quite funny. But it is definitly a bug, albeit not game breaking.

Try a -repair on your clients first if this isn’t consistent, if other people have sound and you don’t.

There’s 11 other dailies you can do. You are choosing to wait.

Remove daily profession winner altogether. Problem sort of solved. You will still get people trying new things in ranked, just less of it.

Replace with;
-Win 1 match.
-Win 2 matches.
Done. Same amount of time just not including the professions.

We’ve been talking about personal score a bit. I’m personally of the opinion that it isn’t representative of a player’s effort in a given match, and it also can be incredibly misleading and potentially lead to bad gameplay habits (5-capping home).

If you were to redesign personal score, what would you do? Does it track different types of stats? Would you want your personal stats displayed to other players?

The thing is, anyone can look at who scored the lowest and think that they were carried/bad/afk/feeders etc. It creates toxicity.
My suggestion would be to remove the point score entirely and replace with a more positive broadcast on match ending, for example;
-Top Damage
-Top boons applied
-Top boons corrupted
-Most revives
-Most healing
-Top Enemy kills (doesn’t include skirmish, have to have greater %damage to gain on it)
-Top skirmisher (plus one-ing gets you this)

Y’know, stuff like that.

There’s even a window of opportunity to add more achievements into the PvP panel with new titles if things are changed.

Hopefully they can address the back items not appearing either!

As compensation, I’d like Anet to still output content for us all to play and more earnable skins/items in game.
To still work hard to try and balance skills.
To still work hard to make PvP league seasons good to play.
To still work hard to try and make better carrots on sticks. Those tastey carrots.

All in all, Anet handled this really well, anyone asking for monetary compensation, like gold or gems etc are really just being greedy. Poop happens. Move forward.

Thieves standard shortbow audio is overriding the sound of Chuka and Champawat. Please fix this, this bow has lost some of it’s legendary charm if there’s no legendary audio.

EDIT: This seems to have been fixed with the latest patch/rollback.

The incredibly ironic thing is this could all be said for PvE. Even more so given the fact PvE has far more items only obtainable in it than PvP or WvW.

Having unique items for each game mode is what makes each mode in itself unique and rewarding. Many games do it, and it’s a good thing. You might not agree but many others do.

Dailies are doable without doing another game mode, this goes for each of them. You’re completely over exaggerating.

And as for your suggestion to not allow game mode specific rewards to not be used in other game modes? Ridiculous. Why should somebodys effort to earn something be wiped out and not be allowed to be used elsewhere, because of people like you?

Tier 4 fractal dailies can net you a good amount.
Bloodstone Fen, I buy the Magic Warped Packets (the masterwork one) from Natto, this one is random, but I got 16g from these yesterday, minus the 3g I spent buying the 6 packets. Plus the materials you get for completing events.

I dont tend to blow my gold though unless Ive got a legendary Im working on.

Thief for sure, I like how fast paced it is and high risk/high reward combat to it.
Very very closely followed by Mesmer, Engineer and Revenant.

My least favourite has to be Guardian who’s sat just further away from Warrior.

As above. It looks like your gfx card is overheating.
First suggestion would be to clean your computer out of any dust and check everything is hooked up securely.
After that, Id suggest getting a water cooler if you havent already.

As far as I know, upon disconnecting you have 60seconds to get back into the match before you’re labelled as ‘Deserter’. Even if you get back in, win or lose, if you are longer than this timer you get Dishonour and pip loss.

The Ascended Golden Fractal Weapon Crate chest gives you the choice of an Exotic Gold weapon, the exotic gives you a random Exotic Gold weapon. The rarities distinguish this difference.

How it is obtainable now, yes, you are screwed.

Anet has said it will still be obtainable after s4 ends, but not the way it is now. As you not only need the league tickets, but 10 division crosses and 60 days of 3 daily matches. A season is about 57 days long.

Once a new Legendary back item is in place for S5-S8 (assuming it will take the same format as the current one), there will be new meta-achievements for its relevant gift.

I’d expect a high ticket price on the four gifts to make the Ascensions ‘Gift of the Competitor’. But that’s just my speculation as a reward track is easily grindable in hotjoin rendering a legendary item for Ranked PvP redundant.

Btw I did this on warrior solo q all 3 seasons and all the multi class cheevments i played classes I don’t even know how to play so i’m pretty sure anyone can get the wings if they tried hard enough.

Yeah, OP got lucky with that bug. As did many. I did too, I did however skip s1, got Legendary in s2, Ruby in s3. So I did cross the divisions anyway. I only needed 3 or 4 daily three matches to finish partIV in s4. Now that’s done, just the t6 grind now.

I’m the casual player that has gotten these wings, I’m not bad at PvP as I used to be able to play it for hours everyday. Life just catches up. So even casuals could get these if they just played the daily 3 matches.

Can we assume ALL legendary bowstrings (short and long bow) are being looked at for improvements? Since standard wire for a legendary is very odd.

Since part one is 1 division cross.
Part two is another 2 division crosses.
Part three is another 3 division crosses.
Part four is another 4 division crosses.

In total you need to cross 10 division thresholds to complete this part of the meta achievement.

It would help if you stated your league position in the three that you played.

1- the meta achievement does tell you what is required to complete it. You just have to click on it to see.

2- Most PvPers will either;
a) Play 2 other professions competantly so they can swap out to better the team composition.
b) swap to another prof before match ends to gain the win on another profession while doing the hard part on their main.

One on a team is fine, I can deal with that, but it’s when they’re stacked it makes it so much harder. In fact near enough any class stacked is murder.
Getting blow out matches because of people not understanding the concept of conquest. It’s a bit ridic.
Luckily, I don’t need my division crosses anymore and only need 30 wins to finish the fourth achievement, then I’m out until the fundamentals of PvP are corrected. It’s just not fun to have to be/face up against class stacking or poor MMR ratio that the queue puts you in.
How should new players have an average MMR? Utterly broken.

As long as the boss has the Superheated debuff, any damage stops it from healing. No need to deplete the breakbar if you kite the boss accordingly to each bucket.

The item you’re trying to trade is level 65. So it is not the correct item.

Ctrl+1 – F5
Ctrl+2 – Special Action
Ctrl+5 – About Face
Ctrl+8 – Look Behind.

Plus the standard autorun ‘r’ and ‘v’ to dodge yada yada.

To the OP: Your youtube videos aren’t particularly interesting to watch. The skill-clicking and camera control plus action camera puts me off a lot. I can’t see skill bars and you don’t showcase your builds. What are you doing that is different to other teams running the latest meta-battle comp/builds?

It’s all well and good you saying your teammate plays a ‘boss druid’. From my point of view, it’s all new-average lowbar gameplay. Your opponents are just as new/average and lowbar right now. To me, it’s just you and friends PvPing for fun. Which is fine.

It’s not bad, but not good either. So the quote above speaks volumes.

The bonuses do effect PvE which is why I brought it up ^^.

So max health is never the same even on a day by day basis. I am also sure these bonuses are void in Raids to put everyone on an equal footing.

Not a bug. Pretty sure you werent using any sort of Vitality buff of any kind?

What you witness when WvW resets is Power of The Mists. A WvW bonus to certain attributes depending on your home worlds War Score. Since this gets reset when WvW does, there is your problem. You’re viewing your stats without these bonuses since your world hasn’t earned them yet.

The special action utility has had use since the first Raid wing in the Sabetha fight.

Just keybind it, it is in the options. Problem solved.

You get a spirit shard now everytime you level past mastery cap. So they’ve basically returned that function due to popular demand.

Trick is to wait for Molten duo daily which is scale 70 and repeat until you see the tier 4 stuff. You have to be personal level of 71 to see the tier 4 lfgs, since tier 4 is 76-100.

@Boogiepop Void: I got an ascended armor chest from the Initiate’s chest just last week. It’s extremely rare but does happen.

@Linken: The cost of crafting Agony Infusions beyond +12 is incredibly expensive, it is more worthwhile/cost effective to spread AR over more ascended items than to condense it onto just trinkets.

You can hate it all you want. WvW is a requirement for a legendary. Anet has just solidified that with the reward track.
They have even responded saying the change will not be reverted.
I’m not sure what you think this post will actually achieve outside of venting some anger at a game you don’t even have to play.
As per the user agreement which you agreed to to play the game; ArenaNet may modify, remove, or add Content in its reasonable discretion. They notified the change in a relevant sub heading. The change was implemented in the second scheduled biggest patch of the year, which for some would have been obvious. It’s not their fault you didn’t read it.
