You don’t gain exp levelling a craft on a level 80.
Because Chronomancers.
Can we throw in a portal that goes directly to the next scheduled event from the last scheduled event? It’s such a bother either finding it on my own on the map or clicking the link that is usually in chat.
Why not just have a floating chest with a rare or better weapon inside at every 15min interval you’re logged in for…
GG for Crystallize who mapped out all the significant WP in 37 mins in a post that everyone is just ignoring.
Sorry, but dungeon WPs aren’t the only ones that matter.
You’re missing the point entirely.
I disagree with OP. I don’t want this sort of item in game.
I don’t think I’ve played any MMO that allowed you to skip the exploration part…
Even WoWs buy a level whatever character you still couldn’t skip the exploration part.
I currently have 5/8 characters with 100%. I would have 6 but I decided to delete my thief who had 100%, to reroll race. I challenged myself to see how much game time it took to get 100% and that shiny shiny star back… 44hrs and 23mins game time to let you all know (I even made time for some PvP on said thief when I wanted a different scene.) It’s. Really. Not. That. Bad.
My point is, I’m sure you can find a few minutes to run to these waypoints yourself. Call it what ever you like. Hard. A chore. Whatever. To me it is laziness.
And yes, I have a busy life too.

I lol’d. Necro meta
All seriousness though. You need to get a few hundred games under your belt, learn tells and mechanics and all what you mention above will more or less vanish. As mentioned above gw2 pvp is a huge learning curve and we’ve all been there.
You have to have completed the story mode again to unlock them after the date that the reward tracks were introduced (sometime last year).
My guess is that you’ve not done your locked ones for a long time.

All I really really REALLY want, is character animation when you /say something
I know the feeling but understand where you’re coming from.
I made the big decision to reroll my thief a few weeks ago, she was 2 yrs old with full map completion and weaponsmithing 500. Human to Norn.
I’m very glad I did it now, I’ve relevelled the crafting and did all map completion, as a challenge I wanted to see how long it took, 44hrs game time.
All you really miss out on is Birthday Boosters.
Good Luck in deciding!Just a question. Why would you not buy an extra character slot and make another thief?
That way you still have the original character in addition to the new one.
That’s what I’ve always done.
I’ve spent my fair share in gemstore to be able to play all professions, I wouldn’t like to have 2 of any of them The reason I deleted the human was because when I made my Incinerator, it bugged me too much how humans ran with them mainly, so off she went ^^
Kudos for keeping clean.
I always respond with ‘:)’ every time then when I’ve had enough of them getting more angry at me I block/report.
Disgusting how some get over a game especially when they’ve been killed.

Until the next post about the same thing!
Have you ever heard of Aeiron or Pentakill (not gw2 but still playing competative pvp games)? I’d have a look at their youtube channels…
I play mesmer, even condi clone death, as soon as I went up a bracket it didn’t work and I was beaten down. It happens, you rework and move on.
It does not make it good. It’s probs the worst build for conquest when you’re up against semi organised teams. Even full pugs will almost always know how to handle condiclone mesmers.
I’ve crafted the legendaries that I wanted and appealed to me, saving most fine crafting mats for the new legendaries, done Map comp on 6 characters, nearly 7. I have all professions to level 80 in exotic or better gear. I rerolled my main which had 100% maps and 500 weaponsmithing too, and done that (I actually challenged myself to how long it would take to get from 0-100% map on a new character, it was 44hrs but that was done out of curiosity.)
And that’s my point, I have all the cosmetic items I want, I’m currently building a legendary for my Boyfriend, and I still want some content to do, to cut into the farming.
We need some content to fill before the expansion, anything! I know it’s not as easy as flipping a switch but we need something to do.
I’ve farmed the Silverwastes to death, I’ve done dungeon after dungeon, I PvP, WvW, redone all jumping puzzles, I’ve even started RPing casually with guild members.
I love Guild Wars 2, but I am getting so so bored.
ANET has made it clear that it intends to reconfigure the combat system to promote “skill based” play. Which is to say, play which is highly interactive with one’s target.
I think that this push is misguided and here’s why;
Using myself as an example. I’m a loyal player in my 3rd year in modern Tyria. The Gem Store has gotten more of my money than I’m willing to admit. Recently I’ve begun to focus on PvP.
I’m well north of 40 and have a partially disabled left hand. I bought a Razer Naga to help offset this but it’s taking a lot of training. My reaction speed is slower than many players’. To offset this; I am running cable internet and a gaming comp. Still, it’s very difficult for me to find and press the right button fast enough to make an interrupt for example.Until recently I played a Condi Clone death Mesmer ( not PU .) Now, an ANET dev has called this particular build “unhealthy.” He was apparently beaten by a clone death
Mesmer in PvP. That comment has led to a great deal of dislike for the build.ANET, I’m playing with some disadvantages. So, I used my head and made a build that was well suited to me. That is not a lack of skill. It is playing to a different style that suits me.
While I appreciate that many “competitive” players are teenage males with the concomitant hand to eye coordination and reflexes. Some of us are not.
Making classes more difficult to play serves no purpose other than to stroke the egos of a small percentage of players.
Another point to consider. I’m in the demographic that likely tends to be the most loyal and have the most money to spend on a game. When the “competitive” players get bored, they move on.
In summary, making the game harder to play for it’s own sake is senseless and may well drive away some of your desirable demographic.
Make hard to play classes if you will, but leave options for the people who don’t believe that playing an ultra complicated class shows our superiority.
“Leave MY build in because I’m entitled by money”
No, there will be more build diversity when these changes come in, and I’m sure there will be another braindead trait set to use, we don’t even know what we can put together yet in full so please stop crying, I’m tired of seeing these threads from you.
Another topic about the same thing Ithilwen? Again OP deleted.
Adapt or don’t, it will not change from the direction it’s going.
Condi clone death was the worst Conquest build, ever. End of.
The condition application and change to PU boons were a while ago, and were in the patch notes.
PU is good still just not great for conquest. (It never was)
New changes to the traits are looking very promising for build variation for mesmer, including condition.

Favourite Unlocked – Champion Shadow / Illusionist
Any title ? Yakslapper
I don’t judge on others titles. (Yes I troll pvp with pve easy titles, I’m probably not the only one)
I do dislike Twice Told Legend because there’s no Legendary Collector title.
I’d like to see a dye collector title, and expand on profession Champion titles.
And leave the lonely shortbow as the only weapon that apply conditions? No no no.
I do not agree.
Just because a main hand pistol applies bleeds does not mean it’s condition focussed, as it’s all about the dual skill (Unload) for pistols.
Equip with off hand dagger, then you get more conditions.
Swap them round (dagger-pistol) you’re back to power.
No, this weapon does not need reworking.
I could not do that xD
I have all 8 professions at level 80, in exotic or better gear, 5 with 100% map completion, which makes me have 5 main characters in my eyes. The first was my Mesmer.
The mechanics of other professions interested me, so I rolled them. I like to be able to get to character selection and think “Should I confuse or blow people up?” “Should I protect other characters or hide in shadows?”
Variety is the spice of life right?
I have full map completion on 4 of my charcters, soon to be 5. I hopped in to get points I needed then went back to completing PvE maps. It’s best not to leave it until last because it will frustrate you, like I was on my first character.
Also try to follow a commander when you can, they may not take the points you need on joining a zerg but it will put you into the wvw mindset. It got me into wvw and occassionally I play my part in the Mist War :P
You get more laurels from the new system than the old one, have a good look at the daily login calendar and you’ll see that.
Apparently 1 laurel per day on login too.
Yep same here, gutted as I only made it just over a week ago -.-
“Thank you for taking part in testing Scavenger Hunting, watch this space for more info on what we will add in game for you to be able to hunt down the rarest of artifacts.”
One can dream, right?
Well, “Lemark sprinted down the alleyway, an endeavor likely to leave one examining refuse closer than generally preferable” Suggests he’s stolen from someone in DR, and attempted escape, most likely, in the sewers. The sewer you can inspect in DR, just so happens to be outside of the Home of Marjory and Kasmeer, near the Dead End Bar. Lots of Merchants and Guards in DR aswell.
Just my thoughtsThe problem with that is that the story states he almost slips into the water of the bay.
Not the sewer.
I was thinking more along the lines of a city (alleys) near a bay (sounds like LA to me). Someplace where you can find “refuse” not necessarily waste…. but maybe the destroyed remains of Lions arch?
" He was surprised they hadn’t given up" They chased him for a long time, he may have ran North towards Janthir Bay

I don’t know if this post already exists, but a search shows nothing.
Having 8 alts, and wanting to be able to walk into a dungeon and select ‘Explorable Mode’, is very very difficult, as doing story mode is character unlock only, and not account bound. This is unbelievably frustrating! I logged 5 characters last night to find one that had done Story Mode for CoE.
Can you lovely guys at ArenaNet please make this unlock (Story-Explorable) account bound?
I don’t like any of the rewards available for the Favor of The Festival token =/ Wish I could trade it in for more of the normal Festival Tokens, so I can buy skins that I didn’t get in the LS, usually due to my poor laptop crashing during the fights or w/e.
Aurora Glade EU, everyone on server is moaning about this or has logged off.
Trading Post tells me to upgrade my account as the game believes I don’t have a full account.
