Man! I don’t know how one can tell Professions in that concept art picture, with the exception, maybe, of Warrior (though anyone can pick up a banner).

The armors look familiar to me, but maybe I’m just not seeing the detail(s). /shrug

Well, I’ve not heard anything about selling the expansion for $20 dollars, but as I said…anything is possible.

I thought they were still focused on bringing new players into the game. I would guess not, if that’s the case. /shrug

I wouldn’t trade my current Unlimited Gathering Sickle for a Consortium one. I don’t care if it’s faster. I wouldn’t even trade my current Sickle for an Unbound Magic one.

I feel the hub-bub over Unbound Magic will die down. It probably won’t be long before Unbound Magic is a thing of the past; something that can get you a bit of coin, but no longer the flavor of the month. Sort of like Geodes, or such.

Three days is way too long? Wait until you hit the ones that takes months, years. I’ve been waiting on my final spoon for….well, forever it seems.

Anything is possible. We will soon see.

I would avoid the ‘just another broken promise’ taint that would incur. But, I’m not ArenaNet. I’m sure they know best. =)

Maybe it’s just me, but when I click the ‘Community’ link it takes me to this page: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/community/community-news/, which seems stuck on February 28, 2017. Clicking ‘Community’ in the header leads to the same page, as does refreshing the page.

I use that link to bypass the ‘Support’ redirect bug.

I was looking in the official game wiki a possibility of starting a translation, but apparently arena.net only officially supports the wikis with an in game already translated. (That’s why we have the es, dr and fr too). An unnoficial Wiki will be just another fan site. But If we could get some suport the things can change.

According to that link, it looks like there was a Brazilian Wiki, but was shut down due to lack of community interest. That’s a shame.

If these Reapers are only UM farming, why leave their characters logged in? Why not just log into the character once a day? Doesn’t sound like UM farming, but AFK loot farming.

Hmm. I main a Ranger without using the Elite Specialization Druid. I’ve not changed my build since launch, really. I’m not into that kind of thing. I don’t really have any issue with new content. I wonder why you do with your Ranger.

Ah, well. Each to their own. Necromancers are pretty fun to play, as well. =)

You can use something like pingplotter to ascertain where the issue is. Do be aware the in-game ‘ping’ includes server processing time.

I’ve seen that you’ve been touting this idea for quite some time. I just disagree. Seems odd there would be so many different editions of Guild Wars 2. Some purchases for the Core Game only, some Core Game + HoT, some HoT only, some Core Game + new expansion…and so forth with each expansion. But, who knows?

I still think ArenaNet would want to avoid the “You lied” bad press right before an expansion release that would likely affect sales.

Regardless, I guess we will find out in a couple of months, or so.

I just tried logging into my account on the Support site, and I just get the little anonymous head-and-shoulders that shows up on the front page, and on tickets.

You could try posting in the ‘Bugs’ sub-forum.

(You could look in the editor and see if it says something like secure.gravatar.com/avatar…) Maybe your browser put something else there; I don’t know much about it.

Eeek, if they don’t, I think it will be another pre-expansion release bad press situation.

I suppose one never knows, but it doesn’t seem likely to me that they would want that bad press again.

crude kits( which stack to 15, instead of the normal 25,) have 0% chance at rare materials.

the next one up which more conveniently stacks to 25 has a 1 in 10 chance of getting rarer materials

mystic, masters, and silver fed kits have a 1 in 4 chance at rarer materials..

If so, you either just dont care about getting higher level mats or your math is just bad.

Well, if you use a Master Salvage Kit to salvage all those blues and greens for a bit more copper, your math may be bad. There’s a reason so many players suggest the Copper-Fed-Salvage-O-Matic when someone asks what they should spend Gems on.

Up to you, of course. If the inconvenience (for you) of all those Runes and Sigils is worth the copper, sobeit.

Well, you can get a lot of Hero Points in Core Tyria for Tempest.

And, Mastery Points in Draconis Mons; not sure if you have the other new maps unlocked, but there are plenty of Mastery Points there, as well. The new maps aren’t quite so mob-intensive as Heart of Maguuma.

Try the new map? It might be a bit easier for you. Or, if you don’t want to do that, spend time in Dry Top and The Silverwastes. Those maps were intermediate steps leading up to the Maguuma Wastes.

Remember, most of us leveled many characters/Professions before we ever got to Maguuma Wastes, much less the Heart of Maguuma. You could try leveling another Profession, something like Ranger or Necromancer; those are a bit easier to stay alive with, what with pets/minions, and all.

It doesn’t give the key until opened. It’s a bundle that includes the Pass and the Key.

Considering how many items are offered, it could be some time.

Not quite. That statement i speak of is older than watchwork pick, and was made at the time the first infinite tool (molten pickaxe) appeared. At that time the cost was considered to be quite high, so people that considered buying it were asking if they can be sure that if it always remain the best mining option. The answer was, that it would. To be honest, the thing people were most concerned then was a possibility of tier 7 nodes, and whether the tools will cover those as well, but the questions were a bit more general. And so was the answer, as far as i remember.

That statement was one of the reasons behind watchwork pick outrage, by the way.

(unfortunately i haven’t found it, it’s rather old at the moment and the search function at this forum is not helping).

Here is a thread from long ago, almost identical to this thread, about Infinite Gathering Tools. It also references the ‘statement’, but it wasn’t a quote by the Devs, but the ‘copy’ that advertised the (specific?) Infinite Gathering Tool(s).

P.S. for people sad they got screwed over, why not use karma to buy fx tools and use those tools to load on your infinite tool.

Let’s pretend the infinite tool is a pez dispenser and the unbound magic/wintersdaysnowflakes tools are pez. If anet made it possible to load these tools bought with karma onto all previous lesser inifite tools (max capacity say 2000uses?) at least it would be something and would free up bag space.

As you use the tool if would burn thru the tools like normal and depending on how you load it, it could switch switch back n forth from magics to flakes. when those all get used up, you still have infinite normal uses.

Or this could be an ingame tool you buy for lots of karma instead.

For those that do not own HoT, have yet to do the Story, or entered the prerequisite maps.

No, the poster clarified what he/she was talking about in a different thread. When they say ‘alt’, they mean second account. Not the term most of us use for second account, so somewhat unclear what was meant.

Ok. Usually, players refer to other characters as an ‘alt’, and multiple accounts as ‘second’ or ‘other’.

Personally, I would find the convenience more valuable than the small amount of Gold attained from passing around the tools, since I owned an extra set, anyway. But, if you prefer to just store them, that’s fine.

I bought the unbreakable tools (the unskinned ones) a few months ago. I never had done much harvesting but after it became clear I would need to do a lot in LS3 I decided it was worth it. Right after that, before I even had a chance to use them (I was still using up what was equipped) I realized the UM tools were worthwhile so they just sat in 3 shared slots and got almost no use. Cue the new unlimited UM tools, which I bought. Now it is too late to return the original tools or even give them to an alt (I asked). I would happily have paid for a UM upgrade and foregone the animations.

Again, why can’t you give Account-bound tools to an alt?

The poster said ‘earlier in the season’ and ‘right after buying them realized UM tools were better’, so that didn’t sound like way back before they were account-bound, as there were no UM tools back then.

You have Exotic gear, which is more than good enough for most of the game. One should learn the mechanics and features of the game before worrying about getting Ascended gear.

Still, you can get Ascended Trinkets/Backpieces rather easily in the new maps, if you can survive there, as a newbie.

I had the same problem with Noran’s Safe Room Pass…

Now I have four of them in my bank. I’ve send a few tickets over the ingame ticket system, though nothing changed.

You can contact the CS Team for replacement Keys for Noran’s Safe Room Pass. It is an account-wide item and will be replaced. The CS Team sent me keys when I contacted them about receiving a second Pass.

Aren’t Break Bars affected by control effects, rather than just conditions?

1) It used to be a gold-sink. The Devs felt that being defeated was enough of a ‘punishment’, and removed the cost.

2) It is a gold sink.

3) This was changed after Living World Season Two. It is no longer necessary with Season Three, and, guessing, all Season henceforth.

4) As long as it is an option, seems ok.

5) No opinion…rarely bothers me.

6) Seems ok, as long as it is an option.

Some of the old features would probably cost more in time and resources to remove completely from the game than using said resources to create new content/other QoL features. Or cause more bugs than they are worth. The older the feature, the more difficult to change without affecting other content, it seems.
