I guess I’d like…gee, there’s nothing I’m really wanting. I guess something new to catch my eye, but it would have to be pretty darn cool. Already spent my Gems on the Glider, and still not sure about it.
Hmm…that might chase some away trying out the core HoT maps. It can be challenging for those not used to it. Maybe one, or more, of the Season 3 maps, but not those requiring Gliding.
Maybe, a free day/week/24 hours of in-game time of Gliding and/or Auto-autoloot. Or open Elites for the trial.
Except those ‘collections’ were all the exact same item. It might be different when there are different items, and some/all have flavor text and different icons. Dunno.
I, personally (and this is just me), would miss getting an actual item. I love keeping my souvenirs. (Still have ‘Soggy Bag’. Lol) /shrug
It could have been a corrupted file. I didn’t see where you posted you tried a -repair of the client first, so, maybe next time try that before reinstalling. Might be quicker and less hassle.

Ha! I was just wondering when it would be Daylight Saving time (thinking maybe late this month or next), looked it up, and was surprised to see it was this weekend. Thought I’d give a heads-up, for those like me….sort of oblivious. Lol.
A really great resource for all things Guild Wars 2 is the Wiki, accessed via the link above, or in-game by typing /Wiki (topic of choice) in chat. If you are unsure about an item you acquire, or just have a question about something, the Wiki may provide the information you seek.
You can update the Wiki to include that in the loot drop table. The Wiki is only as complete as the players who provide the information/edit it make it so.
If it’s a question asked in Character Creation, it’s more for flavor than anything really used in-game, if I remember correctly. It’s been a loooong time since I created an Elementalist. (Mine just harvests my Home Instance.) I think the tutorial unlocks the elements, as you level, in order.
Don’t be afraid to create other characters, and play them. The first part of the Personal Story, for each character, rewards a Black Lion Chest Key, that can award some goodies. =)
Auto-loot is nothing like sending an automated ‘golem’ out to play for you. Geez.

I would guess, if there was not a problem mixing Armor types, other than clipping, that when we preview an armor piece, say, in the Gem Store, and the weight does not match what we are currently wearing, the preview would not remove all existing armor.
I, personally, think it’s a bit on the large size, as well. Have to pull my camera back from where I usually have it set to see anything when using it.
I wish they could do that auto-camera distance thing that happens at World Bosses for this glider. Only make sure the camera returns, unlike what happens at World Bosses.
You could try clearing the GW2 Cache. Instructions found in the Knowledge Base, accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Search – Troubleshoot Trading Post’.

I never said they were the processor please read my earlier posts where I said they are the “Merchant”…
Fair enough. Perhaps, ArenaNet feels restrictions are necessary as the payment is ‘restricted’ for an amount of time by the processor.
It’s really off-topic, anyway. The thread was about notification, not about the practice. Due research provides the information; still, perhaps another small disclaimer akin to the one about Gems is warranted. I’m sure ArenaNet has the metrics and experience to decide what is best for their marketing practices.
The conversation your character has with Canach at the end of Episode 4 makes it pretty clear we’re not done with that storyline yet, it sounds like we’ll be going after Lazarus next (who may or may not be the ‘big boss’).
Separately from that Anet have confirmed there is an Episode 5 coming. Assuming that follows the same pattern as previous releases it will come out in May or June. (They said one Episode every 3-4 months and the last one was February.)
Before that we should be getting the return of the Super Adventure Box in April, since last year they said it’s going to be an annual event. That doesn’t appeal to everyone of course, but a lot of people do enjoy it. (I’m finding it amusing that my brand new upgraded graphics card will be arriving just in time for me to spend most of my time in a pseudo 16-bit mini game.)
Oh and at some point they’re going to release another expansion. But they haven’t even officially announced that yet. We know they’re working on it but that’s all we know.

Only content that was released before purchase. After purchase, content (with the exception of expansions) is free. Of course, all Living World Season Episodes (except Season 1, which is not available for play for anyone at this time) is obtainable at no real cash cost utilizing the Gold-to-Gems exchange. Nowadays, Gold is not especially difficult to obtain, and previously, once Seasons are over, one can purchase Episodes in a bundled package at a discount.
If you are especially concerned, send your friend some Gold to exchange to Gems, once the exchange rate drops back down. I’m sure your friend won’t need to access Living World Season 3 for some time.
Gee, it took me 4+ years of Daily logging in (almost without exception) to reach the cap. Should it take less time now? Why would anyone want to stop receiving Daily Achievement Points? I guess a few do, as they feel obligated to log in, but I’ve surely read more people lamenting the loss of Daily Achievement Points than those who would rather not receive them.
If said new player would check these forums for the information provided in this thread, considering they must use Google or some other search engine, more than likely the search engine would direct them to the Wiki, before coming across this particular thread. That was my point. We all know how long threads stay on the front page.
Also, if one is introducing new players to the game, one might mention, at that time, that upon purchase, to ensure a healthy game community, that there are restrictions to discourage RMT. Thus, said introduced-new players would not be uninformed.
You don’t even have to remember how many posts; if it’s not greyed-out, AP or Just has updated it (with the minor exceptions of when someone else posts [which are usually soon removed]). Oh, of course, that relies on being logged into the forums.
Well, in the meantime, if you would have 2 minutes (per day) to log in to buy something, perhaps a reminder to check the Sticky above, each day, about Gem Store offerings would suffice. It probably would not take more than 2 minutes.
Well, that’s odd. You could try unticking ‘Save Password’, logging in, logging back out, then entering the password, and tick ‘Save Password’ to see if it will remember.

I used to have to minimize Guild Wars 2 during any cutscene to avoid shut-down. I know it’s not the same issue, but it does speak to the fact that cutscenes are different from any other part of the game (save Character Creation or previews, etc.). I didn’t have problems with the game outside those areas.
Have you tried changing the Client Port using the command line argument? It’s worth a try.
It’s not intentional, it should remember your Account Name and password if you tick the boxes. But…it will only display the Account Name; the password always shows up as 6 asterisks.
