And there were multiple threads on the forums TC had asking for transfers. Your server opened its arms out wide to attract numbers. It is what it is. If your people only cared to win Wv3 by volume of participants then TC has done well for itself when you are scaled back to T3. Not so well at higher tiers.

Clearly what you don’t understand (or do, but are deciding to just be facitious), is that recruitment is about filling in gaps in coverage which we certainly do have. T1 & T2 we got broken on because we didn’t have people around during certain time slots.

I think it doesn’t matter what anyone says or how valid it is, you guys seem to want to formulate your own stubborn opinions and act like you have some higher ground, that’s fine because that’s a pretty small molehill you’re standing on in the first place.

Actually the molehill you stand on is much smaller than anyone from Maguuma. You guys recruited to try to move up tiers and fell flat on your faces in the next tier up.

Maguuma might fall flat when it comes to T3 w/ FA/TC in it. But we did it without trying.

To be fair, we held our own in T2 for the better part of three months. Granted, we were usually in third spot, getting pounded on by the T1 servers stuck in T2. But we did manage to secure second place for a while there, too.

I love TC. Probably much the same way you love Mags. We are a tenacious bunch. Probably much the same way Mags is.

Yaks B was one of the first servers I fought when I started WvWing. TCs map chat was constantly filled with people saying good things about them and it confused me lol … I mean weren’t they supposed to be the enemy? It was only later I understood why.

No. What happens is the trolls get under some folks skin and it winds up making their entire server a target. Given a choice of targeting a friendly server or targeting one that has people saying nasty things, it follows the latter would be more appealing. It’s human nature.

What happens on the forums does indeed translate in game.

I know a few of our folks were quite motivated after reading some of the posts in this thread, but perhaps that’s the point of the trolling — to get the fights going after them. There’s one fellow on (not to be named T1 server) that does this deliberately because he wants an entire server coming after his guild. He thinks it makes the fights better. That’s his prerogative, as it is anyone’s choice. But it winds up making the whole server deal with the fallout.

So peanut butter and jelly, or peanut butter alone.

If you are looking for a good way to rate your wvw performance, HEY I KNOW, Anet has this cool little point system, it shows things like total points and how many points you get per period of time. Cool right, and here’s the best part, if you like where you are at in the points, cool, but if you don’t, you can fight for it. These match ups aren’t determined in a few hours, so who gives a flying pancake who wiped who, the end result is the end result. You only get to gloat on Friday, or Thursday night if you are ahead by a huge margin.

So if said 80 people fan out and just flash build catas, they can not only destroy the gate/wall and arrows carts, but avoid constant fire too. Edit: But even if they don’t build siege and just continue to auto attack, simply fanning out, strafing, and dodging will defuse any arrow cart damage in the secs it’ll take you to headbang gate open.

And who is afraid of arrow cart fire except for glass cannons when you’re in a group of apparently 80? There’s bound to be a support class or ten floating about.

The choke point, for example could be the hole in the wall if gate wasn’t used … If gate was used, take the NE tower, the gate itself becomes the choke, with you guys up top by the supply … Or over the bridge before the lords room.

I guess my point was that I’ve seen them use minimal siege and still hold off significant numbers vs their numbers simply by using ACs placed strategically and holding the choke. Certainly if you only have two folks inside manning those ACs it won’t deter a determined zerg.

What I find more disheartening, is having tons of siege in place and then nobody comes and yeah, wipe. I cry a little after sometimes spending hours running supply to siege up a place and we lose it.

Mag BL tonight had a queue bug, I think.

What worked for us is telling folks to zone out of WvW before they left for the night. We noticed that people would remain as ghosts on the map long after they logged out if they just camped from WvW. Having them zone out before they logged seemed to help a bit with the bug issue.
