HAHA I forgot about that movie. Now I need to watch it again. I’m all for the Herring axe. Of course watch out for the killer rabbit. Also the beginning of this video is for all those that want mounts in the game. I like their idea in the video.
Revenge of the ambients!!

Well I don’t know about the event posts unless it is the same person non-stop for the same event at that time. I see a lot of the time every couple minutes people asking if there are any events, usually more so than someone WP linking an event. Now guild spamming that gets to me. If someone is doing it like every 5 minutes I usually send them a whisper to ask them to slow down. If it continues I consider reporting but usually I just block them or ignore it.
They are giving those to people as part of that salvage bug issue.

Your message seems to be in a few languages for some reason. English, German, French, and Spanish I think.

You’re lucky I got a bill from a debt collector.
Go outside. The weather is lovely this time of year. Then again my highest level character is 32. Maybe there is some correlation there.
Or to put it another way, you used the guardian banish animation on hammer 4, increased the size of the water effect and made the visible weapon swap to a scythe…..
Why was this minor amount of work not done first? Did you honestly think the one you released was any good?
Oh well, at least it got fixed, try to better for the axe please.
Good grief.. They made the item, fixed it based on feedback and most seem happy now. Of course there is always someone…
I see where you are coming from but what would be the purpose of players entering by spending gold? Generally the purpose of a lottery is to raise money. Since gold is fictional money sending it to some digital bank (just deleted) really has no meaning other than to take 1 gold from everyone that entered.
Now if Anet said something like enter our lottery and for every ‘X’ amount of gold raised they will donate ‘X’ amount of real money to a charity then that would have some meaning. Sure the gold is still fake but it would be a symbolic way of players showing support for Anet’s support of a charity.
Of course they could easily do something for charity with gem store content and that would be pretty cool. You could have your own, “I gave to charity” cowboy mini haha :P

Just to clarify, everyone is really glad that we could get it improved. It’s hard to say exactly how long something like this takes. The changes were brought on by what was pretty much universal recognition that item just wasn’t as appealing as it could be. From there I mocked up an improvement and then had a lot of feedback and support from our amazing artists to get it just right. Then it went through QA and I made a sacrifice to the noble and wise gods of live production to make sure we could get it into this build today (that was already planned to fix some other issues).
Well done. Thanks for taking the time to share the process. Now how about a sneak preview of the axe
Mine dropped in Queensdale when I was L6 and killed a grub in a cave. I didn’t know what it was though and sold it on the TP for 35 copper. I wondered why it sold so fast.
I understand you feel bad about having posts removed. I’m going to try to say this as nicely as I can. Posts get moved and deleted all the time and sometimes they seem to have no reason behind it. I’ve had posts deleted where it was something positive in a thread where a lot of people were talking trakittenhink moderators tend to get into delete mode in those kinds if threads and a few decent posts caught up in it and they are deleted unintentionally.
Having said that, the best way to be part of the community is to keep being a part of the community. People generally don’t respond well to ‘I quit’ posts and threads. Every message board I’ve ever been on, going on 15 years or so, posts vanish at times. If your intention here is to converse with other players out of game this is the place to do it. Although as a word of caution, the main forum can be kind of a rage fest at times for many reasons but I’ll hold my thoughts on that.
Perhaps you have come to the right place, Players Helping Players. There is a tendency for people to be much more enjoyable and positive here. If you want to help like you said this is the place. I hope you can find a way to enjoy these forums and continue to enjoy the community.
P.S. Out of all the 100s of message boards I’ve been a member of, I’ve never seen one that didn’t come with drama at times, even church message boards.
I want a flamethrower for my Engineer that shoots out Anet t-shirts and if they land on other players they have -90% magic find for 6 hours.
New sickle animation is great!
That looks much better. Before it just looked like someone pushing a stick with a rock tied on into the ground and a few seconds later water would come up. Much better now.
I’m waiting for the infinite Black Lion Key. I heard it should be out sometime this weekend. I saw it on Bob’s Big Bad GW2 Blog so I know it’s true. Once I get that I’m going to hit the TP and buy up all those BLCs like a mad man.
Wrong forum your post will probably be moved here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/guilds
For an old guy like me skill is being able to press the ‘3’ key at the right time and then switch to ‘5’ real fast while also pressing mouse button 3. Oh and knowing when to run. I’m great at that. I’m totally hardcore and I have the blue armor to prove it! ‘Noobs’
From my experience necros are pretty good in PvE. I don’t do PvP or WvW so I couldn’t give you an opinion on that. They are fun in PvE. I tend to take a common profession and use uncommon skill sets just to be different. For example I’m running a dual dagger Elementals. You see it from time to time but not often. I have a dual pistol thief which pretty much takes the meaning out of playing a thief but I like the challenge of it. Oddly it’s pretty good in PvE. Also once I started running around with it a lot in Quennsdale (human start area) now I am seeing them all a lot.

Just want to say that both skill lag and mouse freezes have been happening on my PC as well, so i really don’t think it’s a mac thing.
I’ve yet to fire up the game on my mac to diagnose any of the forum posts, but i can say that some of these issues happen on the pc side too.
Oh I don’t doubt that. The problem is no one from Anet seems to know that Mac users exist in the Mac Tech Support Forum aside from stopping in once a week to close a thread that is actually helpful. It would simply be nice if they stopped in and said this was an issue on PC as well and they are working on it. Instead we are in our own little world.
Enjoy your time off.
TC is NA though, any of these types of servers on the EU?
I think Piken Square is the unofficial EU RP server but I could be wrong since I’m in NA.
Ok..Ill try them…Well ill try your world..Cause the. RP one you said was full
Yeah TC pretty much stays full but you can still guest there if you want to engage in that and get a feel for it incase a space opens later. The only thing you can’t do guesting is WvW. You can still join guilds there and PvE all you want.
To me it just looks like it’s just a stick being stuck in the ground and a few seconds later water comes up. I know that having it pounded like the pick was weird but it seems like there should be some movement like light swinging as water comes up at the same time.
To me the thing that makes the pick cool is the animations while it was being used. This just looks like a stick with a rock tied on the end is being stuck in the ground in one movement and then water and vines come up after it’s done.
Well if you hit an ambient (rabbit, bird etc..) you won’t get anything.

Yep I just looked the last thread they closed was exactly 7 days ago. What a joke.
“Hey Bob, today’s Thursday so you know what that means.”
“Oh no… It’s close Mac threads Thursday already! I need a vacation.”

I like how they just toss in “As this issue is resolved…” and close it but don’t say what has been resolved aside from Mac users solving it themselves. It’s like random thread closing to make us think they are actually paying attention. I think their solution is to send someone in once a week close a few threads that are actually helpful for others that may have the same problem, wave and go back to PC land.
This is becoming comedic. I may need to fire up my blog again. I could write a very informative, entertaining, and humors article on this matter.
While not sellable, my personal pet hate is receiving cash-shop items like bank and TP expresses from dailies. Because you’re never going to need it; it’ll eat up bank space, yet deleting it requires written confirmation
I’ve got so much of that stuff I could open my own gem shop if they were not account bound.
That does seem odd. I just checked my old emails and there was no delay between the two. You should probably contact support:
support.guildwars2.com
‘Ask a Question’ located in the middle of the top menu.
There could be some sort of email lag but who knows?
I used Paypal and got mine in less than a minute via email. Did you get the conformation email from Paypal saying you paid? Have you checked your junk/spam folder? Are you sure you used the correct address?
I have this problem often and either have to logout to character select or out of the game completely then log back in. This has happened to me in all sections of the TP including the gem store. I really wanted to buy those gems too.
Did this just start after today’s patch about 2 hours ago? Is it trying to download and is stuck?
Cool. I might pick a few up since it has been fixed. Now if only they would fix my broom stick so the jet sound doesn’t mute after about 30 seconds.
What’s it do now?
It just started for me recently. Same thing, mouse freeze or skipping at times even when doing stuff like mousing over items in my inventory. I’ve also been getting skill ‘pulsing’ freeze where after a few seconds it finishes and I’m maybe dead lol. I’ve also tried this in a quiet area with just my character and it does it from time to time as well. I’ve checked all my system resources and frame rates and I’m well within where I need to be. I’ve also messed with my mouse settings and that didn’t change anything either.
Oh and I threw a lawn dart into the ‘Customers + Arenanet + NCsoft + Marketing’ on the main board.
As brought up in the other thread about this, it’s great for those of use with color vision impairments. The new version has kept me alive several times.
If you want to see a disconnect how about them selling a Mac Beta Client, stating in the Mac Client Faq that there is a ‘Mac Beta Client Tech Support Forum’ and then seeing that the forum has been abandoned by staff. If you use the Mac client and want any news on progress or lack there of good luck.

I’ve been getting some goofy stuff since last update but I’ve been holding off to see if it is game wide. Mostly skill lag (that I never had before), the usual TP stuff, and for some reason some mouse freezing for a few seconds at times. I’ve done all the usual stuff but it is still going on.
Oh and after waiting about 20 minutes for SB just before it spawned I got the lovely crash where I had to hard reboot. Oh well.. Guess I will just keep cleaning up folders, running disk utility and doing my best to have fun. At least I do have fun even when the game makes me /facepalm at times.
How would deleting your BLCs be a protest? No one would notice or care but you.
I figure Anet keeps statistics about what’s done with what items so they know what items people want/don’t want/salvage/don’t salvage, etc… and more generally, how their customers play the game.
… so my (small) contribution would be +250 trashed BLC’s in their stats. … just a small this-is-how-I-value-BLC’s to Anet.
Maybe… Personally I like them. I suppose I’m on a roll because I usually get a few keys here and there and sometimes with left over gems I buy a few more. I get some nifty stuff from time to time and there is always something I can use. I’m sitting on a few keys so maybe send me one or two in protest. (not all of them, we might get flagged for cash for gold or something.)
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
Fix it now? I doubt anyone in this forum can do that for you. You might consider opening a discussion on this in the ‘game bugs’ forum:
How would deleting your BLCs be a protest? No one would notice or care but you.
There have been some users that have gotten it to work by changing the language to French and letting the download finish then change back to English. I know it sounds odd but I have seen a few people say it works.

You guys need to understand about how things work on Mac… they use a wrapper engine over the GW2 engine in other to run on your Mac like a Virtual Machine.
Problem is the lack of support is from Transgaming in my view. The game files .dat file is the same as PC file. It is and proved because I’ve copied the game data into the content folder on my MacBook Pro 2010.
The issue is the emulator is what most people sometime have with different hardwares and drivers.
I will recommend you guys to run GW2 under BootCamp if you can. Much faster and stable like PC gaming.
We understand that. The issue is that Anet does not even bother to respond to our concerns and ignores this forum ‘Mac Beta Client Tech Support’ completely. This is a forum they link to in their own Mac Beta Client FAQ stating there is a tech support forum:
https://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9231
Is there a forum for Mac technical support issues?
Yes. Please post your feedback and issues in the Mac Section of the Guild Wars 2 Forums.
Yes we know we can run it under BootCamp but they sold me a Mac client and the least they can do is acknowledge that we exist. Also I am not going to put BootCamp on my computer just to play GW2. My game runs plenty fast as it is. There are just some glitches which include being ignored by Anet.
Don’t make a forum called ‘Mac Beta Client Tech Support’ and then not even bother to respond to any of the threads and continue to act like it doesn’t exist. The only tech support being provided here is by other players.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
Colorblind as well and is certainly helps me. Speaking of that, my armor must be the tackiest armor in game. I know I can read the names of the colors but that doesn’t really mean much if I can’t match them. I’m not complaining I think it is funny.

Well, I get the impression that they would just remove this forum all together if it wouldn’t be a definite statement that we have been abandoned. When a mod did stop in a while back just to close a thread saying that the problem had ben resolved I knew it was just a fly by. It could not have been more transparent. Plus the problem wasn’t resolved technically. Another member happened to find a work around to fix the problem.

Anyway, just continuing to try and draw attention to our unread/unmoderated forum.
It truly would be nice to get some official acknowledgement here!
I tried poking them with a stick in my last post.
So if a game was made about the events of the Holocaust where you play as a kitten, because it is a game, that doesn’t mean anything?
The Holocaust was a real and tragic event. This is a game based on fictional stories, characters, creatures, places, items and so forth. Seriously, if you are going to go that far then you must never attack mobs because that condones killing. I’m sure you never killed an ambient either…
What’s your next post? GW2 endorses underage drinking due to the alcohol content in the game. Or GW2 endorses animal cruelty due to ambient killer achievements? Or GW2 endorses killing as a whole? Good grief…
I don’t feel defensive at all. I just replied from the opposite view point from yours. I know of all the doubts people have, I am just getting tired of it. I understand – but at the same time I am trying to find a workable solution for both sides. Because I do want my gold and if someone can save a ton compared to TP in return, it IS a win-win situation for both of us.
Then like I said, go for it. You seem to have already made up your mind before your OP. If you wanted to be safe you could always contact support:
support.guildwars2.com
‘Ask a Question’
That would get you an official answer that you could have documented in the event you run into problems. Good luck and I hope you get your gold.
@JustTrogdor
If you don’t want to do it, don’t. Many people agree with you – but many don’t. I use the TP plenty of times a day and so far have never had to think about avoiding the fee – but 15% on an item over 500g is a LOT of gold I am losing…to a virtual company, that doesn’t even really exist. If it was 5%, I would gladly pay. I feel like that would be fine. But hey, I was super lucky with my drop and don’t feel like letting a non existent TP put fees on my luck for no reason.
There’s nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with not doing it either.
No reason to get defensive. You asked if there might be problems and people are giving you their thoughts on that. It seems you really didn’t come here looking for those thoughts so, hey, go for it. Just don’t post in the accounts forum when something goes wrong.
I would not suggest it for many of the reasons already stated. Plus if someone told me, “Send me some gold and I’ll mail you this sword, just trust me on this.” I’d laugh and go about my business. I imagine that type of issue is why it isn’t a good idea. Toss in that you or the buyer might get tagged by the cash 4 gold screen and you are just asking for disputes and problems.
Make a ‘buyer’ even slightly unhappy and get ready for a report and some dispute you will have to deal with.
