For PvE though? I’m a little unsettled. While I always carry a zerk set with me, is there anywhere in FoTM or other dungeons, where a Cleric Healer like this would be beneficiall over zerk? (I am thinking situations we stack, like chest seal in Cliffside?)

Laugh all you want, but I am considering running a full cleric-Engineer with Healing Bombs.
After testing in the mists, I discovered I could heal an entire team for 1.2k HP/second through the combination of regeneration (from Healing Turret and Rune of Dwayna), Elixir-Infused Bombs, and Super Elixir (Elixir Gun).
AoE Healing Potential is also increased by using the Mortar elite #3.
The key to this build is its ability to stack power and decent damage via traits, while healing an average of 1.2k dmg/second to entire team.
Am I starting to crack, or is this a decent build?
Hello ArenaNet. Thank you for the clarification on Summon-consumable nerfs.
But why was Charrzooka also affected? I would like to speak for the community who enjoy and use such weapons, as toys, so to speak. (They make it possible to play “as” a Skritt or Baby Quaggan using a Frost Gun, for example…)
Wanna be fat? Go Norn. Or Sylvari and wear a skirt.
I dunno if it’s just me, but scrap droprate was improved with this patch?
We will necro this thread until this is fixed.
Say “NO!” to Hobosacks!
Say “YES!” to Plushbacks!
Let me wear a Green Quaggan on my back!
Can we get accessories for this yet?
And any possibility of this set in the future?

The voices are fine. It’s the script that is awkward. Why do characters always have to recite their orders? It makes them sound cheesy.
Just ambiance. Though some golems do it to mark daytime, as an alarm.
ANET seems to be doing quite fine without Jeremy Soule.
Lost Shores theme, Zephyr Sanctum, Wintersday, Tower of Nightmares theme, and now this… I am honestly impressed by the recent works of amazing composers like Stan LePard and Maclaine Diemer.
Keep at it, Team ANET. I’d say your new composers are even better than Jeremy Soule!
The guy who did Origins of Madness.
If the voice isn’t an Elder Dragon, then for the sake of Eternal Alchemy, retcon the kitten thing, and make it an Elder Dragon! His voice is sooooo baddass!
Although it may be a few years off, I nominate this guy to voice Mordremoth. Who’s with me!?
“Be afraid of Dragons. Be very afraid of dragons.”
Anyone remember that quote?
I have no problem with fanservice in GW2, but please give us more bromance. Whatever happened to the sexy, gay Sylvari couples?
Flying Yaks might redeem Scarlet slightly… But only slightly.
As for the Charrzooka, I’m not sure what the reasoning behind that change was. That wasn’t part of the change to summons, or at least that I’m aware of.
The bringer of bad news,
-Bill
Hello Bill. I’m part of the minority of players thanking you for the Ogre Whistle/Fire Elemental nerf. So thank you!
However, please keep us updated on the Charrzooka. I’m sure it wasn’t intended… Was it?
Anyone notice this paintng in Scarlet’s Lair? What could it be?
The spirals reminds me of the Husks and Jungle Dragon concept art…. Mordremoth?

Hi. I want to buy $50 worth in gems for a friend. Is that possible, or do I have to gift each individual item for him?
It confuses me why they think this is a good idea, considering competition, and public outcry. (How the heck do they even market this?)
It also disgusts me that they try to permanently mess up the internet just to make a few extra dollars which they don’t even need in the first place!
Question: Will this change destroy currently established Berserker builds, or simply make it harder to use them?
(Hint Hint: Should we hesitate before buying Ascended Zerker gear?)
Healing Turret is fine, if not one of the best designed skills in the game. The versatility it provides players, from condition removal, to party healing, to even stealth, are all very in line with the versatility engineer should be about.
Guys, this is GW2, not TF2. Don’t make my precious Healing Turret into a dispenser, like that crappy new Ranger heal.
But Berserker IS broken! Fact is, it overshadows every other set in the game. (Though, if you ask me, the issue is other sets are underpowered…)
I just hope ANET is gentle to those with full-ascended berserker.
While I understand why people frown upon Rangers… I don’t see why they hate Engineers as well.
Nice damage with Bombs, Rifle, Grenade, and other tricks. Plus healing turret is amazing, perhaps one of the few VIABLE healing skills in the game.
Though, if an engineer simply spams Pistol or Flamethrower… lol /kick.
The Rytlock/Logan/Jenna triangle would like to have a word with you.
By the way, I am #teamRytlock.
Just a roleplayer.
I’m worried alll the gold and time spent for full Ascended Berserker will be all for naught.
Please be gentle, ANET.
What about the Gay furry Bromance between Logan and Rytlock?

Post if Balthazar is open on your server.
Just wanted to thank the hard working devs at ANET for the Profession Balance forum.
For balance junkies like myself and others, we will be sure to frequent this forum!
I wouldn’t mind darker areas of the game, where it matters to use a torch.
You know, it will be April soon…
Fully agree we should have more control over customization. I want my Nightfall playlist to play in Orr!
Honestly, settle down.
While it’s true ANET might make a few flops or two when it comes to minor things and balance (Like claiming PVT Shout Healer Warrior is a “good ‘support’” build in PvE…), I highly doubt they would betray their fans with anything too gamebreaking.
ANET’s idea of “Digital Deluxe” and “Game of the Year” things usually involve things which are Awesome, but Impracticable, such as Mistfire Wolf, so I can’t imagine a ViP bonus would be anything worthy of purchase. Some of the bonuses don’t even look continuous, such as the extra bag space. Meanwhile, some of the bonuses seem like they will be in the form of a consumable as opposed to a ViP.
Above all else, keep in mind this is something on the dev servers, and not everything datamined necessarily makes it to the game. Otherwise we would’ve had the Swimsuit in the gemstore, and some merchant event in Mount Maelstrom. However, those never made it to the live game either.
Or, it could just be ANET trolling us. Like claiming PVT Shout Warrior is a “good” build…
Settle down, Skritt!
How do we know it isn’t some lame, lame, limited+consumable buff, like the “Collector’s Edition” and “Digital Deluxe”? How many people use Mistfire Wolf?
I have a bit of a man-crush on my Male Sylvari.
May the Pale Tree bless he whom voiced Male Sylvari.
We had CC on bosses in GW1, and we did fine!
Just saying.
I know I’ve suggested this before, but I will repeat it again: Underflow servers.
The root of all Horizontal Progression is the community. Chasing after nice aesthetics are pointless without other players to show it off to and interact with.
Please bring the community back to your game. We need underflow servers before Horizontal Progression even has a meaning.
Personally I think Underflow Servers are very important to. I do however think that your final sentence is a bit over the top (-:
Chris
Pardon me, but this is an MMO. I don’t see anything over the top about it.
Have you tried going to Lornar’s Pass and calling out events? How about Timberline Falls, and Brisban Wildlands?
This game was meant to be played with other players, as we did during launch. However, because of a flawed “server” system, where players are pointlessly segregated (WHY!?), 48 players in Fields of Ruin are split into 2 players each server. That makes it impossible to do events, or at least, make it un-fun.
Do you have any idea how long I waited for ONE other player to help with the Krait Witch during the Tower of Nightmares? HOURS. And that was during a Living Story arc, with an achievement attached to it! Do you think players would’ve cared otherwise?
Events are NOT fun to solo. Nor’ are they profitable. There for, you have a catch 22 of events which require other players to scale up and drop decent loot, but because other players aren’t coming, the event wont scale up. There for, players aren’t able to horizontally progress both in their profits or community. That is a flaw which needs fixing.
How are players supposed to feel accomplished if all they do all day is stand around in Lion’s Arch? There is no real sense of achievement if there is no one to clear an event with. Even back in the day of offline games, players still felt a sense of accomplishment because they could brag to their friends how they beat Contra. These days, ironically in an online world, most players don’t give a kitten if you escort a Dolyak, and they aren’t there to see your legendary weapon.
I mean, it’s your game, and you could pretend it’s not a problem. But don’t tell your fans they are over the top when they complain your game is dying. We really don’t care about your 460k statistics, when the actual experience itself segregates players and creates the impression of an abandoned, desolate area.
Suppose legendary weapons are the pinnacle of Horizontal Progression in GW2. But who would go after a Legendary if they were client side-only? Or better yet, what if the only areas in the game you could even use the weapon, are world bosses where players can’t see them anyways due to culling and particle effects?
At this current stage, you’ve created an environment where player sense of accomplishment hits a brick wall, and the player has no more incentive to horizontally progress.
My point is you need community. Aesthetics AND experience are meant to be shared with other players. Horizontal progression IS community!
Heck, you DON’T even need “Horizontal Progression” if there are other players to share an intense experience and memories with. It’s why WvW and Stonemist Castle are such a huge success, and it’s a little thing I like to call “Fun”.
Horizontal Progression should be there to compliment a memory and experience. It’s what creates “Fun”. Even if it is a grind, the community aspect of it is what makes the experience enjoyable. Without the “Fun”, you have what Extra Credits calls a “Skinner Box”.

It would help if we had an Underflow server.
With the way servers are organized, it certainly doesn’t feel like 460k.
The crafting system was a bad idea. Ascended Weapons are just the carrot at the end of a treadmill.
Want to see crafting done right? Cooking, with its varied ingredients and almost puzzle-solving progression.
Whereas the other crafting professions follow such strict patterns, there is no way they are fun.
Don’t nerf the Engineer’s only good ranged option ~_~
Truth behind Scarlet: There were two Scarlets.
Had we picked the Abaddon Fractal, then there would have been a completely different character/personality introduced, instead of the Mad Scientist we have now.
Back when Zenith Weps were released, the Shield and Bow had an electric trail, yet now they’re gone.
What happened to them? Is this a bug, or intentional?
Great. With 51 servers, there are only 9019 players per server. And most of them are just idling inside LA or playing WvW instead of PvE.
ANET did realease Champion boxes and their exclusive skins people were asking for (such as the Rapier and Cliffside Hammer), so I will give them credit on that.
Really great addition to the game.
You know Kormir rules over the Realm of Torment now, right?
….. Oh…. My… God….. Scarlet is trying to unleash a bigger evil!
SCARLET IS TRYING TO UNLEASH KORMIR!!!!!
RUN FOR THE HILLS, KORMIR IS BACK! AAAAAAAA

Thank you, ArenaNet, for all of these things.
Fixed it for you.
I don’t want to bash the ANET team for all their hard work, but I hate when a B2P game is treated like a P2P game.
At least we’re able to convert gold to gems, so things like the new armor sets can be disregarded as 50g instead of cash.
Still, kinda makes me sad we hadn’t had much new content worth the wait. There hasn’t been anything compelling as Fractals since last November.
I play GW1. But GW2 is fun too!
Why are town clothes being removed? Because rather than enabling them for combat, ANET wants to make a quick buck with little effort as possible.
