So, how does it feel to get some attention? The new Halloween even is happening in the Black Citidel
I do understand what you’re saying, except for one thing. Today is the third day of the event and I already have 10 of 13 done. If I had been able to get on earlier and completed both of the dailies from the 15th, or had more time and could complete 50 doors, I would be able to finish the meta today.
I have that many done because all of the achievements were for things I was going to do anyway. They don’t feel like achievements to me. I’ll give you that. But chores are things I have to do but would rather not be doing at all. Things I was going to do anyway and am being rewarded for doing are not chores.
I support everything about this. I don’t feel it will be as necessary to do this for Wintersday, though because that had multiple paths and more open areas. Getting crowded out by charr and norn wasn’t nearly as big an issue. They learned from what they did in the tower and changed the design direction.
That wasn’t an option in the tower, though, without rebuilding it from scratch and that’s no fun. So they went a different direction, and you can call them the vocal minority if you like, but when no one contradicts them they are the only input ANet has. The result is a better, if lonelier, experience.
I do agree on the PvE gear, though. I would much prefer to be using it instead of PvP gear. On that note, however, I happen to be wearing very low level appearing gear. If the armor skins you can buy in WvW work like other skins and can be converted to PvP skins I should be able to remake my look cheaply thanks to achievement rewards paying ridiculous amounts of badges of honor.
Overflow doesn’t matter. I killed him for the third time on the third load last night and I finally got it while in an overflow. Just keep killing him and eventually it might work out.
I have started jumping just before the lightning strikes, I have jumped as the openning was in front of me. I have hit the entrance, I have missed the entrance and fallen under the window, I have missed the entrance with the window flying by me as I fell. In all circumstances I have succeeded in getting into the tower.
So I have no idea what it is you would have to do to fail to make it in.
I know last year it was really finicky and it was easy to miss if you didn’t jump perfectly. This year they seem to have fixed it and you can make terrible jumps and still get inside.
I completely agree with most of this thread. That was one of the great things about City of Heroes. Every year they would introduce new things to the event, or expand on old things, but every year everything from the original event was still available. Halloween was insane near the end because there were four or five random events occurring all across the game. If you missed a badge from last year you could pick it up the next year. If you missed the chance for a costume item it would come around again. It was even possible to hold onto a mission that only occurred during the Christmas event and farm it all year round as long as you didn’t complete it.
I am alright with the backpack not coming back, only because it was a timeline specific quest rather than just events. The main character in the quest is currently busy with a different quest line, so it wouldn’t make sense.
from a show I don’t like.
Did you watch like 1-3 episodes then give up before getting into the story? Because that’s crazy talk.
Dude…if I have to watch more than three episodes to get into any show, I’ll never get into it. I haven’t bothered to watch TV regularly in almost a decade. I’ve paid for it just because it’s a package deal and makes my internet cheaper, but I don’t use it. Even shows that I “like” I don’t follow and don’t go out of my way to watch.
Television and movies are two of the most tedious things to do with my time IMO. I’ll watch it off and on when I’m at my parents’ place for dinner, or if my friends want to watch a special event, but usually I’m just waiting for something interesting to do.
Like play video games.
I have no idea what their talking about either. But unlike you I have no interest in even bothering to research it. If I don’t know what the reference is it’s already not worth my time.
This year isn’t an actual PvP event, so it isn’t going to work out.
I’m not hyped to do hearts, they’re just a thing to complete. Hell, I actively try not to do the specific requirements of the hearts and only complete hearts by doing the events that spawn in their area.
Still working on the Viscount. I’ve participated in killing him twice on two different characters with a patch in between and I still didn’t get the credit. I was told that I should reload, but I had already done that. I got the Horror and the Lich first try each.
That’s rather disappointing. I was hoping the 20 slot pail would be a one off item reward like Rox’s bag and the gift sack, not something I would never bother trying to buy with a stupid currency. If I wanted a 20 slot bag I could just make one. Or make an 18 slot bag for a tenth of the price.
boreing i expect maybe anew round or somthing not the same one form lsat year .. this wholes year so far is just a rip from last year which is abit lame…
You seriously expected them to completely redesign the event this year? That’s not how it works. We get some new content and a ton of the old content.
I don’t see what the problem is. All dodging does is cause you to move a specific distance and for the duration of that move it applies evade to you. While evade is active you take no direct damage from hits. Dodging in place would just work like the Ranger Greatsword power 1 chain 3 attack. On the third attack of the chain you spin in place and evade all attacks for the duration of the animation.
Why is this argument still raging? Three of the skins are craftable and there are five new skins up for 1 ticket. That’s how it went down. There is no debate left of what should or shouldn’t happen, that’s how it did happen.
Cosmetic Skins and Armor Classes
So there’s some pretty cool armor sitting around Tyria. In the Gem Store we have the Krytan Armor, which is in the medium armor class. It’s really cool looking, and I love the idea for a gunslinger kind of thing, but it just doesn’t seem like it should be in the Medium Armor Professions. I would love to see that set on my Necromancer, to be honest. So here’s the thought: why not have some new cosmetic skins that don’t have an armor class? You can purchase it and put it on any set of armor you choose. If there’s an issue with the coding and you wanted to get this out quickly, just make it a box that you buy with the skin in it, and upon opening it you choose what armor class you’re putting it on and you get the skin in that class. This would alliviate the need for extensive coding and you could essentially just copy and paste some of what you already have for other aspects of the game.
I wouldn’t even be upset if none of the current skins got this treatment, and obviously there needs to be new ones coming out from time to time that are armor class specific, but to have some options across the board would be nice.
To expand upon this a little further, I would say that having the ability to purchase individual pieces of the armor skins would be nice, as well. Still using the Krytan set as an example, I would like a few of the pieces for my Engineer, but not really all of them. I so if I could purchase individual bits, instead of the whole thing, for less gems this would make more sense. Obviously it would be cheaper if you bought the whole set, to encourage that from people who want four out of six and might use the fifth or sixth one, but for folks who just want one or two of the pieces it would be a better use of the gems to do that and then buy something else later.
Except Krytan Armor is Krytan Armor from GW. That’s what my Ranger used to wear after the Seering. So it’s medium because that’s simply what it’s supposed to be.
The reason they aren’t going to make untyped armor is the same reason they have types in the first place. So you can easily identify a class based on armor and weapons.
It never allowed for group join, or friends, because it is technically a PvP map, and always has been.
I actually find the whole thing more fitting. I don’t like doing jumping puzzles with other people, and the blue glows make it more spooky.
Real characters were the bane of the clocktower last year. Charr and norn causing smaller races to be completely blotted out so you couldn’t see if you were even making the jump from the right location or not.
They never have been before. Should be bind on acquire like all the others. That’s the way it should be, really.
You mad bro?
I think he’s just angry.
Well guys I don’ t know if you have watched the new updates for ranger class…
if yes you can easily see what Arenanet does for our loved class…And what IT DOES for ITS loved classes^^ : thieves and so on..
I’ ve tried in these days to capture your attention about this totally lack of careness from Arenanet towards Ranger Class.
Now I really hope you all have realised this sad situation..Arenanet simply doesn’ t care about us…and there is no way to change this becouse It’ s more than 1 year and what have we received?
Always nerfs nerfs nerfs.
I give up with this class and I give up with this game.
Have fun
Finally
Hopefully the skins (if there are any) will be new ones and not last year’s. For collectors it’s nicer to get a Halloween set over the years, plus it retains the exclusivity of previous years’ skins.
This, I think, is the concept I understand the least. Are these the people who have maxed out their banks and bags because they carry a copy of everything they can get their hands on even though they have no use for it? If we had a way to display excess skins I could understand collecting them, but as is they are just taking up space in the inventory.
Prestige items shouldn’t be able to be sold, there is no prestige in purchasing something. Therefore as soon as it goes on the market it loses all its prestige.
So i guess you’re going to ask for legendaries to be handed out for 1 BLC ticket too?
No, I’m the one asking for legedaries to be removed from the trading post and to only be acquirable by building them the way you’re supposed to.
(edited by Kal Spiro.9745)
Play a Charr /threaten
If the weapons come back again, I have no faith in the guildwars 2 economy. I really wanted the shield skin (I could only afford the greatsword) back in halloween last year, so I spent money on gems so I could buy it. I did this because I thought it was limited, which is what makes it cool.
If they just re-release old items, I will never do that again. By some of your arguments, legendaries should be just like any other rare
Since they can be bought, they are like any other rare. Prestige items shouldn’t be able to be sold, there is no prestige in purchasing something. Therefore as soon as it goes on the market it loses all its prestige.
But mostly, don’t base your argument off inferences you made based on things that may have been left out of the game simply because time didn’t allow it.
Um, as an MMO, the game has been in continued development for another year since release. “Time didn’t allow it,” is not a reasonable argument when they have obviously made no effort to correct the lapse.
I’m an anti gear inspect person, but I’m pro style inspect. I’m going to say no, however, because we have the mists.
If you want to check out cool gear, just travel to the mists and go to the PvP Locker. From there you can check out what every set in the game looks like on your character.
Bah, it didn’t even rhyme.
Sorry, it sucks hugely for them. But too bad. They should have actually taken any amount of time to actually examine the item.
I feel unique should be big bold faced and glowie so it’s the first thing you see when looking at the description, but other than that I have no sympathy.
and what part of “unique” tells you that you can only wear one?
none whatsoever, it’s not even unique to begin with, nothing in a game is unique.Sorry, but that’s specifically what Unique means in an MMO. It means you can only have one of them. In some MMOs it means you can only have one of them even in your inventory, in this one it just means you can only wear one of them.
and not everyone plays all kind of linear games with such things, i have played plenty of MMO’s and never have a had a unique item.
from SW:ToR to PW to TERA yet no unique item, i dunno what cheap game you played but it’s a bad design in and on it self.
it’s also a horrible idea to think everyone knows, the “unique” status isn’t as common in MMO’s as you think.
Then you weren’t paying attention because there were absolutely Unique items in TOR. (The O is for Old, which is a proper adjective, therefore the O is capitalized.) When I pointed out that there were games with unique items which only allowed you to have a single one in your inventory I was talking about TOR.
Sorry, it sucks hugely for them. But too bad. They should have actually taken any amount of time to actually examine the item.
I feel unique should be big bold faced and glowie so it’s the first thing you see when looking at the description, but other than that I have no sympathy.

@Phoebe Ascension
I combine 1 with 5. I’ve got passive condition removal all the time, just like several classes in Signet of Renewal, and it’s a stunbreaker when I need it. I’ll grant it’s crap cooldown compared to other stunbreaks, but it’s still there.
I’ll admit, though, that I’m not sure if it’s a only a stunbreaker because I’m traited for signets.
The only thing I don’t like is the first one for reloading the UI. I understand the reasoning behind it, but the simple fact is you’re asking for what amounts to a work around for bugs without trying to fix the bugs. I would rather the bugs be annoying and interfere with people playing the game so they complain about it and the bugs get fixed than have them be able to hit a key to reset the problem and never bring it up at all.
The rest I can take or leave.
So what you’re saying is, because you don’t have a decent idea, and you chose to post them in three separate threads I shouldn’t respond to each of them in kind? Sorry, but I’m reading the forums and you caught my attention, specifically because you posted three separate threads. I probably wouldn’t have even bothered to read them at all otherwise.
It isn’t trolling to state your opinion on a series of suggestions you don’t agree with. It’s disagreeing with suggestions.
account bound dyes
option to buy in bulk from vendors
bigger crafting material stacks in bank
Dual traits
Commanders
Duelling
Dungeon creator leaves group, and everyone gets a kick
Pet names should be remembered
Improved UI
In-game calendar
updated permission system
Last online
Multiple guild
Ingame bosstimers
Improved tradebrokers
follow
Invite, kick from party when inside WvW
These have been asked for a hundred times and will be asked for a hundred more. Some of them may get implemented, some of them probably never will.
Pristine Fractal Relics
Should be banked in account wallet aswell, makes no sense that all other things get in there but these don’t.
I’m not familiar with this item. Is this actually a currency, or is this a crafting component?
More player created content
We need more content like the election between Kiel and Gnashblade where we as players have a influence of the direction the world will take. (But properly made better than how it worked this time around, since you can’t go to a election in really life and vote more than ones)
This isn’t player created it’s player choice. There will be more player choice content, that has already been promised.
The ability to see when a world boss spawn
Just like how the new “scarlet minions have spawned” popup in middle of the screen when the event start (came after the patch yesterday)
I’m ok with this one. It would be nice to have a warning like that. As long as it was only for creatures that go beyond legendary, like the dragons and the fire elemental.
Another monthly achivement
I know a lot of people get there monthly achievement list completed fast ( you can say all you want about them being rushers, no-lifers and such) but the fact is still there that they are to easy for some.
So how about making another achievement list thats harder (another monthly, or 3 month achievement thing) where you have to complete a set of 10 achievements (intend of 4) from a list of lets say 15 different things.
(And no i dont want them to remove the monthly, but just add another harder one).
We don’t need more of these type of achievements. The point is not that it is easy or hard, it’s just inspiration to do activities throughout the game. That’s all.
AOE loot on boss chests
The ability to loot boss chests with the aoe loot button
To what end? Because boss chests are strewn across the landscape? You might have to click F one more time? I see no value in this suggestion.
Ability to move arrow carts
A guild mate and I where doing some WvW the other day and came to talk about the arrow carts we put up. and figured it would be a good adition to be able to move them around.
When you picked up a arrow cart for moving other players should be able to see you move it around and while moving you where doing so in the same speed as when walking (normally your running), you should be able to move up the ramps inside keeps and towers, but not through the “waygates” at ports and up stairs, and you shouldnt be able to waypoint with them either.
So basically if the arrow cart is put up inside a tower, then you cant move it outside the tower, and if you have it set up on the walls, then you won’t be able to move it down unless theres a ramp.
And ofcourse you shouldn’t be able to use it while moving it.
Arrow Carts aren’t good enough? We should be able to more them now? Why only be able to move the Arrow Carts? This is a misguided suggestion.
Crafting
a checkbox with “open all tabs as default” when clicking “h” and going to crafting,
this is because you have to scroll through all the stuff you have eg. if you have to find some refinements, so if this checkbox aren’t checked all category’s should be closed as default and if checked they should be open as default.
First off, why are you looking for specific stuff for crafting from your hero menu? You’re not at a crafting table so why does it even matter? Are you operating under the assumption you might want to craft at some point in the future, while standing at the BLTC, so you might as well check to see what you need now? Second, how hard is it to scroll down, really? I’m pretty sure I scroll down to the section I need at roughly the same speed it would take me to identify the tab I want and click it.
Interesting segue, instead of posting three different threads about similar issues, you can just post one thread with all the issues.
This one, though, has come up since the game began, and will probably continue to the end of days.
Because when you click on inventory items it opens your inventory to show you the item. That’s why.
Who cares? It’s Karma. It isn’t like you don’t have/get a ton of it all the time, nor that it’s really good for anything.
I don’t understand this. How is Karma scarce? When has Karma ever been scarce? Karma is one of the most prevalent, and simultaneously useless currencies in the game.
Still cleric gear is very underrated. Why? Healing spring no bonus stats at lvl 80 regen for 2340 in 3 sec. Assuming that you with full cleric gear (no rune, trait or weapon or accessories that give healing power), your regen for 3042 in 3 sec.
I think it’s kind of urghh. When running dungeon. If you can kill it fast, you will have less worry about healing.
Compare this:
Sword full chain deal 639 in 1.5 sec. Again with the same assumption above you go with full zerker armor, you deal 858 in 1.5 sec. When it crit, dependin on the chain, you will deal 166% of the base damage instead. You can take down the boss about 34% faster (not including crit).I am not gonna give the whole equation but you probably already get my point. The faster the fight the better it is.
Well done, you’ve successfully described the state of the game. Support and Control don’t matter, only DPS. Being able to sustain yourself through alpha shots is nice, but if you just killed it faster you wouldn’t have to. That is, in fact, how GW2 functions right now.
Yea, Terkov I followed your advice a few weeks back. I have moved to another class, but I didn’t want to. My play style is better suited to the LB Warrior. I would rather play my Ranger, which keeps me here looking for news on something that will allow the Ranger to excel in the way I wish to play the class.
Nothing you said right here makes sense. If you are better suited to a different class why are you so intent on playing this class? It’s fine to watch the class to see if it changes into something you like, but why would it be so important as to make you actually want to do so?
Sorry, it sucks hugely for them. But too bad. They should have actually taken any amount of time to actually examine the item.
I feel unique should be big bold faced and glowie so it’s the first thing you see when looking at the description, but other than that I have no sympathy.
Windu The Forbidden One
Yes, I know I can buy gems with gold, but does it matter? You still have to pay a lot and cost a lot of time aswell for one character slot, that in my opinion should be free for a pay to play game. More character slots isn’t something that you should fight or spend a lot of time to get it (that is what I meant).(copying and pasting because I got bored of typing the same thing)
Simple answer, no, you’re wrong.
This game is free to play. It’s pay to own, but it’s free to play, there is no subscription. As a free to play game they need a way to continue to pay for production. One of those ways is by making you buy more character slots. Five is actually a lot for a free to play game, and most likely because you actually bought the client. Usually you only get two, or even one.
It’s super cute how you want more things for free since you paid “so much” but you paid that for a really large good game, not for a huge number of characters. Those five can take you a long way, unless you’re an altaholic. Some people don’t even go beyond their five.
Oh noes! You bought a free to play game and didn’t get “enough” free things? Poor guy.
Skins are still there guys. You can get them right now.
Anet would make more money by not releasing them again. Period. Why? Gems>gold conversion due to the prices set by the players.
It would be illogical to release them again; specially when the store said they would be gone forever.
ANet doesn’t make any money on gem sales, those go straight to NCSoft.
Also, no it didn’t, and even if it did it doesn’t mean anything.
First off, SAB skins were obtainable every single time you opened each of the three end chests for each of your characters every day. It cost nothing to play and depending on how many characters you had could be done a significant amount each day. Plus it only took 15 minutes max to blaze through it. In fact, you can even say you had to work for SAB skins because you did at least have to actually complete a zone to have a chance at a skin. You didn’t just obtain an item that too no effort to get and then luck out. You had to put in some effort to get to that chest. People legitimately grinded for SAB skins, hell I did and I still only got two.
I’m not familiar with the Jetpack, but I’m under the impression that it was a similar situation. It cost you nothing to enter, but required effort to reach the end, enter as many times as you wish.
Limiting something like that is WORLDS different than limiting something from BLC. An item that took nothing to obtain, and then buy the key, which typically involved real money, then getting lucky without expending any effort at all. The Halloween event defined how they would do these rewards because they would never do it that way again. It was a complete fiasco, and so forcing people to live with it as the only option would be a terrible decision when they now have the opportunity to correct it.
I would also like to state that at no point has any Dev said never. They said they would not be for x event, they didn’t say this item will never be seen again anywhere but the trading post. And that is a statement they make because that’s exactly what they said about Mini Pet Series I.
Jetpack (and mini firestorm) were random drops from doing the Molten Alliance Weapons Facility dungeon. MF was only around for ~12 days (I do remember that it wasn’t the full 2 weeks). Dungeon usually took a half hour (iirc) to complete, though that was with a good group. I ran the thing at least twice a day (more on the weekends) and still didn’t get either of the two things. I put in the work and got jack (other than infrequently an exotic sentinel inscription), whereas some people got either of the two on their first kittening run.
At least with SAB I was able to grind the dungeon(?) every day with at least 7 characters (yeah it got extremely boring and a pain in the end) and get the account bound green named skins (I’m glad I did that now though, since they removed them all). Even though I got all the skins, it was frustrating knowing that others (and I) wouldn’t be able to get any of the skins from the first release.
But in both cases it was a reward for actually completing content, not just a thing in a box that you could buy.
I see it the opposite way. Its you’re own fault for buying it at that price, you knew the risk, that it could be re-released next (this) Halloween. You guys (that buy them at that price) could have been patient and waited to see if Anet brings them back. Or for you guys that are trying to make even more money by not having them come back, you should have known there is a chance for them to come back, so try to sell your stuff while its high.
From their posts online regarding things like the jetpack and SAB skins (sell-able RNG skins from a returning event) they’ve presented a strong statement about not making limited time items easier to get in the future, if at all. If they bring these weapons back in a way that’s just as easy or easier to obtain as last year, they’ve completely mislead the community with their posts. It’s not the player’s fault for buying into what they’ve been telling us about handling these types of items.

(edited by Kal Spiro.9745)
Greedy because you’re forcing people who either weren’t luck or never had the opportunity to pay exorbitant amounts for something that cost you nothing to acquire.
But people that have it now HAVE been paying exorbitant amounts. It’s greedy to want it to come back so you can pay less than what other people have already been paying.
Yes, those who couldn’t wait a year and had to have it now paid out the nose for something that was sold by people who did nothing to get it in the first place and charged them as much. And even if they became available again the same thing would be true by the time they weren’t anymore because there will always be people willing to pay.
Selfish because you don’t want them to have any other way to get it.
This argument is clearly dead in the water since you can still buy them. Strawman.
I’ll give you a hint. Having to buy them from the market was the way selfish people want others to be forced to use to obtain them. You don’t want them to have any other way to get them except from the market, that’s selfish. Until, of course, they run out at which point there really will be no more of them ever if they’re not reintroduced to the market. Do you understand now?
Entitled because you happened to get it and still don’t want them to have the same options.
That isn’t even even close to the definition of “entitled”. Entitled would be someone feeling entitled to get a rare skin for less effort or money that what people have been the past year by having more released into the market.
Sorry, but you can’t count the effort the slavoring masses used to buy them from the market as the definition of how much effort is necessary to obtain them since the people who obtained them initially put forth zero effort and just got lucky. They feel that since they got it and you didn’t you should be beholden to them to get it and that is entitled.
The slavoring masses will still be there, and they will still pay.
If you want another chance to get a skin other than having to go to great effort to pay for something that took no effort to acquire in the first place because you legitimately want to use it for its appearance and not at a pay day you’re a greedy selfish entitled player.
More like, “if you don’t want to work for gold and pay a high price just like everyone else who has worked for this item in the past year, you’re greedy and entitled.” That’s what it come down to: you’re basically asking to get something for less work/money than lots of people have already invested
Lots of people, just none of the people who got them in the first place. You’re Big Skin. Don’t interfere with my market, I have a monopoly on this and I need those hundreds of gold I’m forcing people to pay because they have no other options. Renewing the market is a good thing. Cutting your prices is a good thing. It isn’t like they won’t go back up anyway.
Running nothing but bears and longbow (and maybe even shortbow) in dungeons. Not only are you doing kittenty damage, you’re also not supporting your teammates nor receiving support from them.
False, except for the kittenty damage, that is true, having an AoE condi cleanse and AoE weakness + a damage sponge (bears can tank bosses like a mofo), not to mention it’s not hard to run in and out of long range to drop healing spring for your melee allies, you’ve got 10 vuln you can maintain by yourself, and an AoE cripple and a KB, not to mention your other weapon. You can also run spirits if you want (i run the elite spirit for the AoE rez, condi cleanse and heal), and then if you take Healers Clarity and Mercy Runes you rez people extremely fast, rez them to half health, and then gain swiftness so you can get back to where you need to be (or to another dead person) quickly, that and S&R and you’re a one man rezzing team.
Not to mention you yourself are tanky as hell if you’re going supporty….
But… but… but you’re doing dungeons. You’re not supposed to be supporty and ressing people, you’re supposed to be zerker and murdering everything you see in half a second or GTFO… Bearbows can’t do that.
How exactly is an invisible bag a terrible solution? It’s a lot more elegant than the locking slots idea, and it allows you to have as many minis as you have invisible bag space for, instead of just one if it were in the hero panel.
Maybe there’s something I’m misunderstanding here, but it seems like an excellent solution.
It’s still not a solution, it’s a bandaid to the actual problem of minis, but I fixed the reason for confusion. Those statements were not intended to be linked.
This interests me greatly because as far as I understand LB has some of the worse DPS in the game.
Let me guess… some idiot who thinks warrior is the only way to play the game told you this right?
Longbow has AMAZING damage if you build for it, it has some really nice scaling with power and crit, not to mention that stealth in PvP (and PvE i’ve noticed) provides you with quite a bit of survivability….
Well since I don’t know who posts what I really couldn’t say, but mainly I gathered that from reading this forum. Also the fact that compared to everything else I play the longbow does seem to be pretty slow to kill. Not that it’s changed my using a long bow. I enjoy the weapon and I don’t care if it does huge damage as long as I win.
1) Toughness doesn’t affect aggro either. Proximity seems to be the strongest factor. The rest seems mostly up in the air.
2) GS is better DPS than shortbow.
If toughness doesn’t effect agro, then why is my longbow ranger in cleric armor an agro magnet. I’m at 1000-1200 distance. I do crap damage. I use bird which absolutely does more damage than me. But my Toughness is over 2000, my armor is over 3000. So what is attracting these mobs every time if not that?
