Eh … ele can be complex but you can get by sitting in fire or air most of the time anyway. Playing to the fullest does require awareness of all the skills. The need to play to the fullest is also pretty rare though.
A friend pointed out a while ago that you can probably blame all the trenchcoats on GW1 players for oohing and aaahing when they added that in GW1. :P
Though maybe ANet can take this time to learn that too much of a good thing can be bad too.
The character select screen will round the percentage …
Pact Camper
Honorary Jaka Itzel
Pale Reaver Believer
Ordance Corp Auxiliary
Patron of the Nobility
Complete those and you have Ground Pounder done
You can go up to WvW, repair, return to PvE for free.
GH is faster if you have Lost Precipice
either hall is about the same, if you have the repair anvil (and either is faster than ww, which in turn is cheaper than porting).
Or you can do what I do: don’t repair until I really need to. I don’t love seeing the icon. On the other hand, it’s less annoying having the visual than taking any time at all on repairs. I wait until I’m near one for other reasons: dungeons, fractal lobby, en route to a home instance, etc.
The distance from spawn to the anvil in Gilded Hollow is around twice the distance of the Lost Precipice anvil. 473 vs 965.
Repairs do seem rare enough that I wonder why this thread even exist. In the case of content where death might be very frequent there is generally an anvil near the respawn point anyway. With the Noblesse Oblige mastery the need for repairs should be even lower now.

Seriously? =_=
GW2 already has pretty much the easiest leveling of any game with a leveling system.
Hmm a person that has to keep looking over their shoulder is heroic? O_o
That is certainly a first.
ouch, I would say ele is one of the harder classes because it difficult to break defiance bars.
Only one staff. With any other combination there are more CC.
More CC does not need faster break bar. I can do mesmer sheild 5 and it takes away 2/3 of the breakbar with one skill with aoe to boot. Ele cc are single target and take away much less in comparison.
I am lazy and I just use whatever posted in that sticky ele thread
Offhand dagger, warhorn and Comet from focus all hit multiple targets. That aside it is very rare that you would need to hit breakbars on multiple targets at the same time.
Are you referring to skills like Hundred Blades which get cancelled if you move or are you referring to skills like Heartseeker where once started you can’t can’t do anything until it finish or you are interrupted?
For HP trains you can check the LFG. They usually have it up there and announce it on map chat before they start.
I currently have 258 proofs. That was along side around 4 reward track completions so it should be at least 20 hours of total play time spent in WvW. In comparison 20 hours would be more than enough to get 100% completion for all of HoT.
The rate of progress in WvW also depends greatly on which server you are on and which ones you are fighting as well as what time period you are playing. It can be a bit dead at times and then you will be getting WXP at a much slower rate.
Well, I had no idea a page like this existed, thank you.
I checked and a Polish retailer seems to have a digital key available. I had no idea it is an authorized one, so now there is no need for me to even exchange currencies.
No idea where did they hide that page. Should be more visible. Thank you once again.
Not really hidden. There’s are links to the Knowledge Base on every Guild Wars 2 site page, just as on this one. Services – Support – Knowledge Base (or directly with the Support links).
Good luck.
Shop → Partners and Sponsers seems a bit more straightforward
Although that part is a bit of a mess as well.
Kamohoali’i Kotaki is a very nice spear with a nice aura.
Yes … they also drop as normal loot.
There are a bunch of commune HPs in HoT. You could probably get by just doing all of those. That aside you could just ask in map chat for help with a particular HP. People also do HP trains in HoT fairly often.
the underwater precursors are also fairly cheap. cheaper than many BL skins :P

It is possible to get the Generation 1 precursors from that daily login reward box. If you do get one, it will be account bound.
Are you sure? I’ll have to double check but I am pretty sure a friend got Leaf of Kudzu and then sent it to another friend.
The one sold by the master crafter has it? That sounds … odd. The armor version only has crusader and marauder for the 4 stat prefix.
Seriously is right …
You went after something that may or may not exist.
Turns out it doesn’t exist. Now you complain? There isn’t even anything that implies it exist. On the contrary the infinitely repeatable achievement implies there isn’t one.
Pretty sure there were at least two puzzles within the last three weeks …
How is 3 race and 3 treks any more broken than when it is 3 puzzles?
It’s only the recipe, so it isn’t probably that bad.
But you can change the stats of ascended armor (exception: doesn’t work with the aqua breather) and weapons in the mystic forge. See here
So you can pull any stats from a chest, or craft an item with the cheapest stats, and then change it to the desired stats – Yassith included. There was a time where crafting a piece with Hronk’s stats and change it to Yassith afterwards was even cheaper than crafting Yassiths directly. I don’t know how it is today, but the prices are probably still in the same range.
That doesn’t really save you anything. It is only a couple silvers difference. The cheapest right now would be using Rabid but even then you save maybe 1g out of the whole set.
Making XP useless without the full mastery unlock was a bad decision but that only gives spirit shard which has plenty of other sources as well so it isn’t a terribly big deal either.
The NPCs are useless. Their only purpose is to waste your time with unskippable cutscenes. Don’t ever expect anything from them and you’ll never be disappointed.
With the situation you describe it is not like players are any better. You could say the AI is an extremely good representation of the average player.
IIRC the majority of the savings for crafting Dusk/Dawn comes from making the deldrimor ingots yourself. This also means you have to wait 90 days if you don’t already have at least 90 deldrimor ingots or mithrillium.
What levels were the rares and the green item?
Can’t remember. Got them from chests and such from wvw i believe.
I don’t forge that often. I was wondering if the forge might give a level 80 green if someone puts in lower level rares and consider it an upgrade since it’s an increase in level.
I haven’t had rares turn into greens but I have had greens turn into blue from that.
Probably because in the case of weapons the border is already being used to indicate which is the one currently active.
Yes I modified armors right after opening satchel so it was my noobish mistake. Still I think there should be information about satchels if they are usable to character so new players like me could avoid mistake. And i don’t understand why armors becomes soulbound if character do not wear them eventhough they modify them. Thanks for replies.
It has nothing to do with the fact that the armor pieces came from a satchel so there is no need to make any other mentions about them.
Also when you tried to modify it there was a warning. You just ignored the warning and clicked yes to make the modifications. So there is the answer to “why does armor becomes soulbound”. When the game gives you a warning you should not assume it is joking with you.
I really don’t see the appeal of either housing or fishing in MMOs.
Housing
I can understand it in single-player RPGs where it’s basically the bank – a place to store stuff you want to keep but not carry with you (with the added bonus that you can arrange stuff to make it look cool). But we already have the bank for that. The only other purpose is to decorate it and then…stand there looking at the decorations. Or try to persuade a friend to come and look at them. I’m a big fan of cosmetics, but not ones that require me to stop playing and go to a different location to look at them and are completely hidden from me while I’m actually playing the game.
You forgot “get angry at the terrible decorating system”. :P
“Just missed” is probably less annoying than “permanently stalled” but obscuring all events in range. Some events are also simply too long winded like a 5 minute defense event.
Or if they bug out. That’s always fun. :\
Really though, hauling kitten to get to an event circle just to have it close because 80 people ate a tiny boss is just frustrating. I don’t do zone events and will pop into PvP before I even consider it.
I actually find the zone event dailies to be very easy most of the time and wonder why people are complaining on map chat. :P
Oh and jumping puzzle completion also counts as an event.
Considering the fact that there are people who buy those satchels/boxes and then open them to sell the contents this sounds like you are only telling half the story.
Any attempt to modify a piece of bindable gear will cause it to become soulbound.
Those requirements would make this a PvP specific question.
Even then with things like stability, stun breaks and shadow steps/teleport you can’t really fully pull off those things.
A condi mesmer would cover the requirements the best.

Well, MMO’s are largely about wasting your time, and the two proposals by the OP are certainly time wasters. I wouldn’t waste my time on either one, though.
Unfortunately if there are too many people like us it also means wasting the developers’ time as well.
The only game that needs fishing is a fishing game.
GW2 is probably the last game that needs another abandoned and ignored minigame.
What’s with these dailies?? Nowadays I have to port to i.e. Caledon Forest and do events there and chase after them before they’re finished, or go to the Plains of Ashford and gather lumber there? What’s up with that? Why can’t I just do dailies in the where I am farming/grinding mats and exp? Old dailies where you had daily gatherer, daily event completion ect. were much better. Did somebody actually suggest this kind of change or what?
Also the thingy that shows where the events are (event tracker i guess?) is showing events where there aren’t any and chasing events over the specific map is not fun.
Never seen a “Plains of Ashford Lumberer”, just ascalonian lumberer. That can be done in any ascalonian map. It’s been like that for a long time. Ogre Road WP in Fields of Ruin is great for finishing it.
Kinda related, but…
Today one of the things I can do is a Jumping Puzzle in Southsun Cove called ‘Under New Management’. I seem to recall there were two there, one was easy by where you ported in, and the other was that ‘timey-jumpy’ one.
How do I know which is which? I don’t recall jumping puzzles having names (3 weeks into not having played for 15 months before that)?
You click on the achievement then you click on the Suggested Location.
I could probably finish it in the festival area but why spend more effort than necessary?
Grouchy skritts in ember bay(that other people have complained about being left around) are perfect for this.
You’ll want to stay faaaaaaaaaaar away from scribing then. It is even worse.
If the elite spec isn’t providing anything you need for the build then there is no reason to use. The elite specs aren’t so inherently good that they are always the right choice 1000% of the time.
Sounds like something is gobbling up memory causing large chunks of GW2 to be paged out.
Check this out: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Activity_Lead_Cassi
Sanctum Sprint is an activity and they rotate daily. This Friday it will be available again so you can progress that achievement and finish it.As for checking and hiding achievements, my personal list now has the last tier of some WvW achievements and since they require an insane amount of repetition the list will stay the same for months. It was the same with the wintersday drinks achievement that I almost finished last year and remained to haunt me for a whole year. Choosing achievements to hide would be a nice addition.
Heh … 2,471/10,000 and it is not for the drinks
Sanctum Sprint is still on the activity rotation so you can still do it right now.
Male ogre hunters spam weakness on you constantly. Basically staff ele sitting in earth. Trying to remove weakness while fighting those is futile.
Edit: Double check. That was not it. So it just doesn’t remove weakness. Haven’t tried removing weakness from other sources.

after a round of gathering …
8 gathers – 13 seeds, 1 flower, 1 fiber
10 gathers – 16 seeds, 1 flower, 1 fiber
10 gathers – 16 seeds, 0 flower, 2 fiber
8 – 14, 0, 0
11 – 16, 0, 2
8 – 15, 0, 1
10 – 15, 0, 0
10 – 15, 0, 1
10 – 15, 0, 1
8 – 14, 0, 0
so that is
1.6 seeds per gather
.02 flowers per gather
.09 fiber per gather
all with a 20% guild gathering boost
nodes aren’t the exclusive source for seeds so unless you are certain that you haven’t gotten any from anything that is not 600 gathers. each gather also averages more than 1 seed so it is not 600 gathers regardless
This isn’t restricted to teleports. I often get “obstructed” on projectile attacks when I have a clear line of sight. Utter kitten.
The best thing is seeing obstructed pop up using a melee skill next to a mob in the middle of flat ground.
yeah wee got Firey weapons but they pail in comparison to the 1000 degree knife
and i wouldn’t call it stupidity gw2 has many odd weapons just look at the Improvised weaponsThe improvised weapons makes more sense than most other sets.
The warhorn and sword are the only ones that look like they won’t work.
Can confirm that I feel hella safe behind that broken chair shield lol!
@OP no. Clickbait videos don’t deserve their own weapons. You want to get some YouTube/Gw2 crossover weapons happening, then how about starting with something thought-provoking, like a Game Theory tribute wep?
Safer than the fractal shields at least
