Change Warhorn abilities into Shout mechanic wise. this way is works with Vigorous Shouts, which is our only active support role heal.

This way we can carry at least 1 banner (outside of Rez Banner) as well as 4 shouts

I’ll keep it simple; Guardian

Pretty much this.

Warrior’s Mace and Shield is more for tanking and shut down build. Like fighting a tough PvE mob. Or in PvP when you are trying to pull attention away from the zerg like a PvP tank.

But Guard Mace and shield build provides far greater support to self and allies in the area.

Make the Passive heal nearby allies and cure conditions on nearby allies every 8 seconds.
also grant a boon to a nearby ally every 10 seconds.

this way we can have better support other than Grandmasters…

Seem like the Warrior was the primary class designed around this full Signet build thing. Even though its crappy later on.

Get rid of this already. Replace most of our Signet skills with something with Unique class effects, like other classes get. if you still want these passive effect, why not just apply they to some unique skill for our class.

Really dislike the passive nature of it, and its seem all stacked on us (the Warriors) more so than any other class.

We have so many lame Utility and Elite skills because of these stupid Signets (no offense bro).

If I could vote on this, I would vote for them to be replaced with unique Class defining skill effects.

Trait should be a Shout called:
“Get Your Behind Up”

When you finish rezzing, the shout goes off, healing Nearby allies, and rezzing 1 other nearby ally in the area.

There. With Grandmaster trait it can heal even more since its a shout, and it also have great support and bunker build effects. Make Warrior (especially Melee WvW Warriors) more valuable in WvW…

Or when Rezzing you drop a unique Banner that has unique skills than any other Banner. Some huge defensive skills and some huge Healing skills. But has charges cost like Ele’s environmental weapons. This way it wont be OP but super useful if properly used right as by ally in WvW.

OP this class is flawed. I noticed from day 1 when I looked at the skill list. Clearly this class was rushed. Take a look at the Utilities and Elites if you want proof.

Why does GS need another gap closer? Are you trying to pigeonhole Warriors into only GS?

If anything, they should give the other weapons at least 1 movement skill and all weapons having no more than 2 (GS already has 2).

Cause The GS has a lot of Lock Motion skills (in a mobile oriented game) and has lots of movement directional skills which lock movement..

its just bad design. The Warrior class seem to had a vision in the developers eye but was rushed and couldnt be completed. you see this with things like Banner Mechanics for example.

Well here is plenty of time to revamp these flawed designs….

100b is only viable against stoned players,

So… about 25-33% of players? That’s not too bad, I guess…

The only warrior weapons I don’t see frequently are mace and sword (except for mobility purposes)… not too many longbows, rifles seem to have been dwindling a bit, but the others I see fairly regularly in all formats.

I play Mainhand Mace for tanking. I would like a buff to it, but I like the defense. The counter blow skill need a revamp to something both more offensive and defensive. the current form is ok, but need shorter cool down or something if it remains as is.

As I’m sure you all guessed, I of course, am referring to the use of our F keys. We currently have F1 as our burst as you all know, but what about F2? 3? 4?

Here is a short repost from another thread of mine, a series of additional burst skills, determined by a warriors 2handed or offhand weapon. {Brackets} indicate variables based on adrenal level.

Greatsword
F2 – Blade Cyclone: Spin in a circle, releasing a fiery shockwave that damages and burns nearby foes. Combo Field Fire, {1/2/3} Seconds, AOE Range 600

Axe
F2 – Dismember: A quick strike that hacks off a chunk of an opponents armor, leaving them more vulnerable to attacks for a short time. No damage, applies Vulnerability {5/10/15} for 10 seconds, Range 130, CT 1/4, CD 10.

Mace
F2 – Dustbowl: Slams your weapon into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust, sand, ice, or dirt, blinding and confusing nearby foes for {1/2/3} seconds. Combo Field Smoke, {1/2/3} seconds, AOE Range 450.

Sword
F2 – Trailblazer: Charge forward, striking, burning, and bleeding all foes in a line, and leaving behind a trail of fire. Combo Field Fire, {1/2/3} seconds. Range 900.

Longbow
F2 – Infused Arrow: Charge an arrow with intense flames, before launching it at an enemy. On contact, the arrow will explode, knocking down all foes within 130 of the blast. CT 1.5

Rifle
F2 – Covering Fire: Lay down an extremely rapid fire volley of bullets, striking foes in a tight cone every second, for 5 seconds. Every hit has a 10% chance to inflict cripple for 1 second. CT 5/Channeled.

Hammer
F2 – Unheaval: Slams the ground, damaging foes and creating a ring of upturned earth thats impassible for {2/4/6} seconds. CT 3/4.

Shield
F2 – Shield Wall: Enter a stance where you block all attacks for {1/2/3} seconds, but may continue to attack and use skills. Damage you inflict during is reduced by 25%, and generate no adrenaline strikes.

Warhorn
F2 – Shatter Eardrums: A sonic shockwave that dazes all nearby foes for {1/1.5/2} seconds. CT 0, Range 450.

So now we have an alternate burst skill, making our offhand weapon more meaningful, and offering cool new options!

Next, I’d like to address both the “clunkiness” and unwieldy nature of banners, and our lack of an F3 or F4 button in one fell swoop!

Banners
Banners now work using a toggle on/off system, not unlike an engineers toolbelt. When toggled on, the banner is displayedon your characters back, and provides its passive bonuses to allies within range. The F3 and F4 buttons also become available, with F3 being Inspire, and F4 a banner specific skill. Only one banner may be active at a time, and toggling off/swapping banners will incur a 30 second cooldown. Banners can no longer be dropped, lost, stolen, etc.

F3 – Inspire: Nearby allies gain swiftness for 8 seconds. CT 1, CD 15
Largely unchanged from the current banners, with a slight duration nerf due to its increased ease of access

Strength Banner
Passive: +100 Power, +10% Condition Duration
F4 – Staggering Strike: Swing your banner in a circle, knocking, damaging, and applying vulnerability to all foes. Damage 750 @80, Range 130, Knockback 180, Whirl Finisher, CT 1, CD 15

Arms Banner
Passive: +100 Precision, +100 Condition Damage
F4 – Sharpened Strikes: Nearby allies will inflict 1 additional stack of bleeding on their next direct attack, CT 1, CD 15

Defense Banner
Passive: +100 Toughness, -10% Hostile Condition Duration
F4 – Steadfast: Nearby allies gain protection for 3 seconds, CT1, CD 15

Tactics Banner
Passive: +100 Healing, +10% Boon Duration
F4 – Compassion: Nearby allies heal 750 @80, and gain regen 5 seconds, CT 1, CD 15

Battle Standard (Elite)
Passive: +75 Power, +75 Precision, +75 Condition Damage
F4 – Final Crusade!: Nearby downed allies immediately rally, CT 2, CD 240

I agree greatly on your weapon F2 idea, but not on Banners.

I like Banners are Environmental weapons that others can use. but I want them to also have Burst skills as well as better unique skills rather than most of the skills being the same.

Banner system in general was ok idea but badly done. Just give them a burst skill idea like the OP and make the 1-5 skills unique to each Banner like all weapons are.

Why did Anet leave out capes in the game? With so few back options it seem like it was originally an idea in the game. I see a NPC with a cape in FHR.

Be honest and tell us how many of those 30 hunter skills were actually useful. On my warlock, sure I did have 7 summon skills, but I only used one per game type (imp in pve, succubus duel etc). The 4 dots, I put into 1 macro. So out of 70+ skills as a warlock, I only ever used 5 on a daily basis. Raids could be done pretty much by spamming shadow bolt and life tap.

GW2 forces you to limit the skills you can use, which means every skill becomes far more valuable. In GW2 I use 10 out of 10 skills, in WoW I used 5 out of 70.

Most of them are useful. Way more than GW2 has in its ranger class all together.

TBH once you have a 80, you can easily round up enough cash over a weekends play to get an alt up to level 30 using crafting. Which to me is the hardest part of the battle. That gets all your Utility Slots unlocked and your Elite, and gives you enough SP to get useful utilities. Also it unlocks your second weapon slot.

doesnt do a thing about Traits. again take a look in the OP for the Support Warrior example. they get a heal from traits but its grandmaster.
in other words you cant play Healing Support Warrior unless you a high level.

I have the opposite problem. I have 5 80’s and four other characters, and they level too fast to suit me.

easy. dont do Hearts. And no Meta events. only explore and Event(non meta). That should slow things down. also no crafting of course.

I agree. the game needs a Melee equivalent of the Ele.

Like a Melee Shaman Class or something with Attument changes for different elements, but with melee instead of ranged theme for most of the weapons.

Idea I had was for adding new gameplay elements to WvW to make it more fresh and new feel to it so the fun can once again return.

I was thinking. How cool would it be to have Naval PvP and Aerial PvP in WvW?
But where would this take place?

Well how about between the void space of the 4 maps in WvW.

What if Naval Combat was in that void space between the Borderland map and the Eternal Map? What if Aerial Combat was in the void space between the Eternal Map and the Borderland map?

There are 4 maps. 1 of them being Eternal. 3 Borderland.

Well there could be 3 void Maps. 1 unique to each Borderland-Eternal map match up.

one of the borderland-eternal match ups could have a void zone doing Aerial Combat, while another could have Naval combat, while another could be having a combo Naval Battle and Aerial battle and Air to ground battle all in the same map.

This is nothing that the game currently has so this is something totally fresh and new feeling to the game and can bring back that new and fun feeling WvW use to have when it first started.

Gives players new ways to play WvW along side the traditional way without replacing it.

WvW Outmanned Change

When Outmanned I would like more Roaming NPC units that have boss fighters like Keeps do. This can give outmanned teams more ways to push back. Think Druids in Old AV of WoW during a turtle. For those who played Old AV in WoW.

Unique Skills vs Skills that just Boon?

This is another part of the game I would like the developers to advance beyond.

I notice lots of skills in the game, for a game that has a limited action bar and small number of skills per class,

are skills that only apply Boons. Nothing else unique about the skill being used other than it activating the same boons everybody else gets.

There are a few unique skills per class,

But in a game designed in the way it is, around limited skill bar,

I would much rather all the skills the classes get were Unique Special skills with the Boon part simply added on to the Unikittenfect.

What are your opinions on this? Discuss

Would you like to Level your alts and give them EXP while playing and enjoying your favorite character class main?

Take for example:

I like playing support role in PvE and PvP. I also enjoy having a Melee Defensive theme and a magical theme like my Guardian delivers.

But if I decided to roll a Warrior as my alt who also share similar Melee Defensive theme, and heavy cool looking armor,
I may be interested in playing a support role on that character. But here is the problem.

My only heals come from Grandmaster Traits.

That means I have to level all the way to 60 on my Warrior just to unlock the full potential of the role I enjoy playing the most, on my alt.

So thats hours of playing something I am not having a lot of fun with, just to unlock the things I may have fun with later on…

Well If somehow I could have leveled up my alt Warrior while continuing to play on the class I enjoy most, I would be able to skip over the boring part of the game for me, and have nothing but more enjoyment, simply from the option there alone, to progress past the boring parts of the game to the role I enjoy playing.

My warrior is 65 now, but I remember the feeling I had while grinding those levels out. Trying to play the way I wanted, but was locked away from the fun simply from the numbers associated with my level.

I really dont feel that the Levels themselves determine “Player Skill” in anyway.
A level 10 player may have better skills than a level 30 player. And so on.

So something like this wouldnt hurt anybody.

With the current 8 professions you can cover nearly any whole just by adding weapons. For example instead of druids you could take a ranger (nature magic trait line, animal theme mechanic, use of nature elemental sources like springs, sparks and vines, summoning nature spirits…) and give him a staff with nature based spells amd you’re done.

New whole professions mean new mechancs, new utility families and are a balancing headache. I guess we will get some at the end but I prefer to simply add more weapons to cover more roles and stereotypes. The example I gave can be done with a lot of possible classes.

I disagree.

There is no offical Shapeshifter class. Only a few classes have it, and its designed as elites. Norn is not a class, and also has it only as Elites.

There is no Dark Crusader class.

There is no light armor melee classes.

There is no melee shamans classes.

No Rune Priest

the list goes on. there are many different game mechanics that could be introduced. adding new weapons only add new 1-5 skills. thats not new mechanics.

Its been a long wait, but I am ready for some new ways to play.

Some new weapons, new skills, brand new classes, new races.

I want a fresh new feeling to the game.

Also new MetaEvents.

Other MMOs have classes that have stealth and copies of them self…they seem to have no issues with it.

So you would be fine with the sticky locking on to mesmer clones instead of the actual mesmer? Or if it locks on to the nearest enemy after the thief you were chasing stealths?

Also I bought it off the AH. So wanst soul bound. I put it in bank to transfer to alt. Logged into Alt and dragged it to the bag slot over the other bag.

I will buy another. But this time be more careful of the warning. if it happens again than clearly its a GW2 side issue.

I play mostly on alts. But now burnt out trying to get them to 30 for elites.
Back to main. But dont like the gear grind. I just want better models to wear.

I would like it if I can pass on exp and rewards to alt when play my main (which I have the most fun on)

Anet should make it so a single max level character can share EXP gain to a selected alt character so its more fun to level them up while playing your favorite character.

Yes its called WvW.

WvW doesnt have even numbers like Structure PvP does. So doesnt sound like what the OP is asking for at all.

WvW is 3 teams and unbalanced numbers.

a Large scale Structure PvP would be 2 teams with even numbers fighting for an objective.

Rytlock’s Critter Rampage Game!

I spend a lot of time on the forums reading people suggestions for IN-GAME suggestions, most of which arenanet don’t bother to post a reply to… even if it’s just a simple “Sorry that won’t work because…” = Topic Closed
or “Good Idea, we will discuss it and keep you posted on any further news on this idea” = Topic Closed.

So anyway my point is simple, why are arenanet spending time making things like Rytlock’s Critter Rampage Game INCLUDING promotional video’s when there are so many unhappy players who are crying out for updates and new content.

For those of you who don’t know Rytlock’s Critter Rampage Game is not part of the GW2 client and can only be played from the GW2 website as a flash game.

So anyway I’m personally pretty miffed that Arenanet are wasting time making stupid flash games rather than answering our forum posts and acting on our suggestions and giving us more of what we want instead of crap we never asked for nor do we need nor does it contribute to anything inside GW2…

developers and staff are not allowed to post on idea threads for legal reasons.

I just brought a 20 slot crafting bag off the AH and placed it in my bank so my alt can use.
Logged onto my alt and moved the bag into my inventory.
When I tried to drag it to the slot I wanted it at I got the pop up confirming my action. When I clicked yes, it disappeared. I still have a 8 slot inviso bag there.

What happen? that bag was worth 12 gold. now poof!!

if Anet wanted a item shop method, this should have been it, with the wardrobe vault instead of current form. because I also dont like destroying items that I enjoyed or had a history with. I still have a few items from low level of my main in bank.

If I were to rebuild the class, on the UI the class would have a kit section, in which they equip kits there. Also a turret section as well. This way all Engineers will have at least 1 kit and 1 turret at all times.

Also I would have more skills that deal with unique roles. Like creating a robot to pilot or a bot pet. More support with a better focused support kit to make up for weakness.
