Imagine when Richard the Lionhart went from England to capture the Holy Land? His army were not just composed of trained men but with commonfolks too. This is akin to WvWvW mixture of types of players. You have well equipped and traited players and you have your upscaled players.
Coordinating a zerg requires that you must know real life military tactics to actually pull it off. I would guess that good commanders in WvWvW are or have experience in the military.
had Richard the Lionhart been a GW2 player, he would have either
a) amassed a worldwide army that outnumbered the entire muslim forces 10 to 1, then attacked them while they were sleeping
or, most likely
b) joined the muslims and “transfered” his army with him.
of course if the christians were able to recover from that blow and proved to be stronger he would just switch allegiance again

even when transfers cost money, you will be able to play in any server of your choice for free (guesting). the only limitation is that you cant join the WvW matchup of that server, thats the difference between transfer and guesting
in other words, if you only want to PvE, hopping to another server will remain free forever

80% of the fights would be bunker guardian vs random -> guardian wins after 50 minutes because the random said F THIS and quit the match
the other 20% would be 5 hour long matches between 2 thiefs because they cant see each other due to culling issues granting perma invis

It’s a bug. We saw the video and have a fix already but because the build is underway and we need time to test it, and because this is kitten hard to do reliably it will be some time before it goes in.

warriors are in a pretty decent spot, all classes should be more like warriors. tbh, most are, which is good
your mistake is comparing them to thiefs. its like comparing a knife to a bazooka
its not that warriors are underpowered, its that thiefs are insanely overpowered and noone should ever compare with them to make a point across.
anyway, I doubt ANet can ignore for any longer that 80% of the population is playing a thief in sPvP, and will soon react. thiefs will be nerfed to hell and back.

This is a silly topic. Teams win tournaments by teamwork, not by how many bunker/tanks they have. The way I see it, a bunker gained is dps lost.

W3 only has 2 rules.
this rules overrule and in some cases even negate other rules.
this are the rules you are looking for
1) always transfer to the largest server that is currently winning
tell everybody that you have been there from the beginning and you hate noob train riders. complain about queue times.
2) play in a server from another region to lolPvElol all your exp, karma and badges
tell everybody that you are forced to do this because you have a night job even if you are student, or across-the-sea friends in that server even if you cant even name a guild from that region.

Im ok with the downed state in general, with a few buts:
1) in WvW (possibly even sPvP too) they should make the speed of res QUITE slower, and then tie a speed buff with the compassion stat…makes all the sense.
2) they should just give all proffs the same skills, just changing the visuals to fit the motive of the class…
certain classes have INCREDIBLE downed skills, others have PATHETIC ones

Okay yeah, I just wanted to say that we are all equal, or at should have been anyway. I do agree with your final statement but… Currently aside from completely revamping servers like by creating a few Oceanic servers with region lock I can’t think of another solution. But even that has its flaws as what.. we’d only be able to make only a few servers on that end.
why not SEA servers, so you play with koreans, chineses etc?

what leaves me heartless is the fact that the developers admit no wrong, admit no problem, ignore us and wash their hands on all problems while the CC police in the forums close, delete topics and hand out temp bans like candy…

if anything, one would think game devs would learn better and stop including a class that, historically, no MMO has ever gotten right and resulted in either a vastly OP clss that ended up nerfed into oblivion, or a preemptively sucky class that left assassin/thief lovers raging….
the very baseline concept of thief/assassin is utterly flawed…inmense damage and stealth? oh em gee, I see nothing wrong here, I wonder why its so difficult to balance….

doing dungeons is an ok-ish way to make money.

I LOVE them (the dungeons), but there are certain bosses which are a chore, I will agree. Overall, I disagree, they’re very fun once you get the hang of them.

the thing I liked the most in your videos is that any thief would kill those classes in 1 second flat (if not downright oneshot them), while those classes would never kill the thief
hence, thief is vastly more overpowered than any other overpowered class/build combo in the game.

The Champs in the Fortresses should have a skill to pull all enemys within 1500 range to him and than cast a havy burst AoE of 600 range (2 sek cast time).
this has been discussed, and while I agree somewhat with you that lords are currently a bit too weak, I would be hesitant to buff them much.
I already experienced what you say in WAR’s fortresses, and tbh it was BS. the lord could almost singlehandledly defeat an entire zerg.
now if you couple a STRONG lord with all the defenders getting some proper LOS on the lord room (from a floor above/the ceiling/whatever) and AoEing the crap out of it, you have a totally impenetrable death zone with little to no effort.

Warriors can Kill Shot for >20k on glass 80s, and that’s at 1500 range.
rifle warriors die to a sneeze coming at their direction, with absolutly no way to avoid it
the problem is not the utterly ridiulous burst that thieves have. its that they have it in the class with most mobility and best “out of jail cards” in the game. a half competent thief will do that damage while being wildly survivable at the same time.

the closest to the twisting mechanic would be a healing shouts build with hammer and rifle. a certain degree of tankiness coupled with some support for allies in the form of heals, minor buffs and one condition removal, so-so DPS and some CC

Transfers are still free because ANet still wants people to look inside themselves and do what’s best for future competition.
To tell you the truth, the TA alliance closing shop and changing up servers was the first real time I’ve seen a chance of this happening.
