Typical problem. All physical item gemstore purchases are delivered via email, but your mailbox is limited to 10 personal emails (from players, gemstore, living story, deliveries, etc you know, the onesbthatbcan be seen across all characters)… The heart emails and personal story and dungeon emails do not count toward this quota.
Glad I was able to help.
You need local.dat, this is your in-game settings and such. Make sure you are running gw2.exe as administrator and see if you still have this problem.
Lol, good luck and let us know how you go
I’ll ask the basics, are you running the installer (and/or gw2.exe) as administrator? Have you temporarily disabled any antivirus/firewall softwares? Could you please post your system specs (mostly CPU, GPU, ram, os, hdd free space)?
Vshiz…zle, I think you are experiencing something different, you may want to check your error codes and look around the forums a bit. (lol the forums don’t like your name)
Ejduck, if you still can’t get it working after that, try this link:
Download the installer from the link posted within the thread and let me know how you go.

Yes, please post back and let us know how you go.
I use a Logitech mouse myself, but I don’t seem to have this issue. And it’s odd that you have it on 2 systems. That’s why I asked if you happen to have any “application specific” mouse setups. I used to have one to add extra functionality in certain games, but it just ended up causing problems so I disabled the profile.
Have you tried downloading the latest Logitech control program from their website?
Next, could you post screen shots of your in-game options panel, 1 for the first panel and one for the last panel (showing only the basic movement controls and their key bindings)? My thought is that maybe there is an option ticked that shouldn’t be or a key became unbound)… Just thoughts.
Delete a few in-game emails. (particularly, the ones with envelopes in front of them)
Several things, 1. please post your system specs (to make sure you meet the min requirements), 2. I have no idea what code c0000417 means…first time seeing that, 3. perhaps try posting the compete log file for us, 4. make sure you are running as admin, 5. temporarily disable all firewall and antivirus software.
I have other things…that maybe will help, but let’s start there.
In the upper right hand corner of the launcher, change the language to French or German (not Spanish). Once it completes, change back to your default.
You could also try waiting, Anet staff recommend 10-20 minutes until the alternate downloader kicks in. Some have said it could take much longer.
Post back if any of that works or not.
Odd, make sure to run that one as an administrator. Did you happen to look at the details of that crash? Or you can try running it again, hopefully it won’t crash.
I also read another person’s fix, they deleted the “broken” gw2.exe, then changed the gw2.tmp to gw2.exe.
You may want to consider exporting that crash.dmp as a text so we can see your error…or posting the arenanet.log.
Have you considered filing a ticket to see if they have any options for you? I doubt they will, but it’s worth a shot if you’re already sitting here waiting.
Try the installer linked within this page:
http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1162677-Help!-gw2setup-exe-not-working
Perhaps try checking your logitech support program (under system preferences) and verify if you have any program specific setups enabled.
This may still help people.
Try locating an older installer. There was a thread on the forum about this awhile ago regarding this issue and it seemed finding an older installer worked. (if you have an old one on your other pc, use that).
Post back if you get this to work or not and let us know how you go.
Found the link for you:

It’s posted in there.

Yeah, I’ve seen some bugged staves lol, where the shadow scythe appears just above your hand (I think I reported several of those).
But it is true, the population of people on the forums is only a small subset of the player base. So there may not be many at all who have this staff in particular who think this is an issue.
But like I said, if Anet deems it an issue, they will eventually address it… Eventually
I think he means running while holding both buttons. (at least that’s what I was trying to help with lol)
I’ve been experiencing this for weeks. It makes following up with issues troublesome, especially when the topic gets pushed pages down. It is also bad to see tons of the same topic over and over again.
I tried clearing the cookies, history, and cache, then reloading the browser and I’m still having this.
Does this function work in other games?
Please post your CPU and GPU temps while the system is running idle and also after playing gw2 for about 15 minutes. (2 sets of temps for 2 components)
Have you tried finding a different installer? (either downloading the newest one from your account management or by finding a older one)
Also, what kind of Internet are you on, public/university or private/home?
Try this for now:
Delete the contents of the gw2 data folder, it’s a pain to get to the right one: this step is a general fix for many tp and graphics issues, even without the previous steps however, it will lose all saved login/password and in-game settings.
Mine is located under the hidden Library folder (navigate using finder, do not use spotlight to search)
/[yourharddrivename]/users/[yourusername]/library/application support/guild wars 2
You may want to copy/paste this folder to your desktop as a temporary back up, just in case.
Delete the contents of that specific folder (you should see files like this contained within “config, dyndata.dat, user.reg, userdef.reg, and folders p_drive and wineserver…namestuff…loca..[long name]” just to list a few), then re-run the client..
~~Your folder is probably hidden (as is the default). Hidden folders display as greyed out text and icons. I found this after googling:
http://m.wikihow.com/See-Hidden-Folders-on-Mac-OS-X-and-Other-Recent-Models
You can also try holding alt while clicking "GO " in the finder menu bar unhide the correct Library folder, continue holding alt and click on Library (if you release the alt/option key, “library” will disappear. At least the link has visuals for you. Hope it helps.
Post back and let me know how you go.
It says there is, go to app store, search for “google authenticator.”

You should post each bug in a separate post or find other similar threads and relay as much detail as possible; multiple bugs in one post make it difficult for the team to pass your bugs along effectively. Not to mention, most people (unlike my boneheaded self) don’t reply to them and it generates more rage.
As for the titled part of the post, I was playing my guardian today and was healing without issue, even in a dungeon. However, I read a thread elsewhere stating there was some issue in fractals regarding healing skills, not just on guardian.
There are a ton of tp posts in the tech forum and bug forum. Most have all sorts of solutions for all sorts of specific issues. Here is one for example:
1. Open your trading post (leave this open until finished)
2. Open your options panel
3. Change the language to French
4. Wait for the trading post to reload in French
5. Change the language back to English (anglais)
6. Test trading post
But if your issue is actually connection related or root certificate related or even cache related or program conflict related, this probably won’t help. It’s like shooting in the dark at a stationary target you have never seen before.
Before rage posting, maybe try searching… Rage is bad…m’kay.
As stated by Regina, this is a known bug and nothing is intended to occur in the instance it seems.
As for error code, that was part of a different issue that was occurring randomly while zoning. That has since been reported as fixed.
Now you’re just being plain insulting!
I don’t think it’s bugged! I was merely responding (btw which further bumps your bump) with a possibility of why “only 2 people” posted about it.
Sure, I could see why you would want it rotated forward slightly, a lamp might need to be in front to see in front lol.
However, the scythe blade is composed of shadow, it’s not actually part of the staff, but a visual “shadowed” representation of a bringer and master of death, not a true to life representation of an actual scythe. Same with focus. We shoot out a deathly, shadowed, pointing hand to strike fear and torment to our victims, the shadowed scythe is just a further characterisation that we ARE a reaper of Grenth!
So, before assuming you think you know anything about how I think, THINK! Don’t generalise me because I said something you don’t agree with.
Besides, if it’s bugged by anet’s standards… Meaning “unintended”… It will eventually get fixed. We might not even hear about it. But 2 people complaining about it doesn’t make it so. If it’s a huge issue for you, try using Final Rest… A proper scythe
If you were on a Mac and playing a ranger, you might be upset that hawks have laser beams… THAT’s a bug!
Sometimes, it won’t even show 10/10, but deleting a few anyway usually allows the queue to progress and fixes the issue.
Not to be a jerk, but for the majority of these, there is a trend, it’s possible a major node that most of these route through has gone down or is having issues.
I’m on the east coast US and when Chicago has issues, the latency makes the game unplayable… Even if it’s just prime time population traffic. (my ISP routes directly through a major node in Chicago which also handles many other ISPs, I can’t change that unless I change ISPs… But then, they’d probably do the exact same due to geographic location)
I don’t think they aren’t looking into problems of South and Latin America, they are probably trying to pinpoint the issue, but don’t have any noteworthy updates yet. I mean, it’s possible that this is truly an Internet node issue and maybe they are working to find out why. I know Texas nodes are very high traffic and tend to have a significant amount of latency. But, with latency comes skill lag and fps spikes and skips/jumps/freezes, it’s all truly painful and inconvenient.
Have any of you tried running gameadvisor yet (and posting results)? Or this?

Okay lol, just saw it. I’ll stew on your issue for a few and use the Mac forum to continue to post
Hey ifrong, I thought I posted on your tech support post the other day… Well, either way, let us know how you go (I’ll check over there for it now).
I’m guessing most people aren’t really bothered by it. I actually think it looks fine and I just screenshotted my char using it a couple weeks ago. It looks great, I even made one of the shots my phone’s lockscreen background.
(human female)
Awesome!
Make sure your guildie empties his mailbox, it may be full without him even realising it,
If you sent it to the wrong person, you most likely will ever hear of it or see it again
You can try changing the language in the top right corner to French or German (not Spanish), once it finishes downloading, you can switch it back.
Have you visited us on the Mac forums yet? Most times maccies get ignored on this forum and on tHe Mac forum, we have some players helping since we dont get much staff support to help out… Ashley tries, but she’s only one person.
Anyway, I don’t think we use the awesomium process on Mac, but I’ll post our usual fix for tp issues:
Delete the contents of the gw2 data folder, it’s a pain to get to the right one: this step is a general fix for many tp and graphics issues however, it will lose all saved login/password and in-game settings.

First off, you can’t use the Mac troubleshooting steps… I know because I originally posted those quoted there.
For you to use repair, you have to create a new shortcut for gw2.exe, right click, go to properties. Under the target, add the following quoted phrase AFTER the quotation marks of the target… Add this " -repair" (everything between these quotes including the space, excluding the quotes here… Space dash R E P A I R). Your targert will end like this: …gw2.exe" -repair
However, fatal disk error could be a problem with your hard drive. If repairing doesn’t work, you might want to run a diagnostic on your hard drive.
It really seems these nvidia drivers are terrible. I’m not exactly sure how to get windows to stop automatically installing the new drivers… Have you tried uninstalling all nvidia software?
Why won’t you just uninstall it? You can reinstall it if it isn’t the problem.
Try this and see if it helps:

I waited in the Grand Piazza in Lion’s arch and heard the conversation there between Inspector Ellen Kiel and Magnus, but the instanced conversation “A Future in Politics” is still not working.
I can’t help but wonder if this isn’t meant to be active yet. I filed an in-game bug report anyway.
I can confirm both bits… No conversation (Magnus is un-responsive) and the map shows Dredgehaunt Cliffs.
First thing, it has been confirmed by nvidia that the 320.18 drivers are bad! Either roll back to 314 or get the 320.49 drivers, some have had good experiences with those.
2nd, can you navigate to my documents/guild wars 2 and post your crash logs? Arenanet.log (or crash).
You could also try deleting the local.dat file in the same folder, it sometimes helps graphics related issues, but it does reset in game settings.
And check your temps as Abomally suggested and post back.
So, this is going to sound pretty bad, and it may not work for you, but on occassion, I’ve had this (Mac client)… My lazy solution was to keep closing and restarting the client until it worked… About 10 tries or so did it for mine.
You may want to try deleting the local.dat file located under my documents/guild wars 2. That may or maynot help either lol.
Have you guys considered, or tried, deleting the local.dat file, located under my documents/guild wars 2?
It may or may not help, but it’s worth a shot if nothing else is working thus far.
You don’t really use your user name for anything (you can append it when you file a support ticket and your friends can use it contact you in game regardless of character)… But the exact info you used here is your game info as WaxWorm mentioned.
Then you may need to file a ticket since this seems exclusive to you.
Lol, no worries… I haven’t had time myself.
Foxx, have you tried that command line?
