I think there should be some clip of hambow there, i dont really pay much attention to clips just put what i have and what i think looks cool.
Maybe its cause there are so many of them in pvp and im used to them but hambow really doesnt feel problematic to me.
You got condi transfers to get rid of pindown, mobility to kite him, 2 stunbreaks and hammer is one of slowest and easiest to dodge weapons.

Reroll warrior, you will still suck but its much easier class when you have no idea what you are doing.
Thief is a class thats underpowered if you are bad and overpowered if you are good.
Bind keys, manage initiative, use skills when it actually required, think forward, cut 50% of your random dodging, use shortbow, voila – thief becomes overpowered.
it is funny when a necro with macro cast all of their wells/aoe skills on your group in 1 sec, and you die…..
all wells have 0.25 cast time, you can equip 3, and only 2 wells do dmg, staff aoes are 0.75 sec cast time. You dont need macro for that, only class that really benefits from macros is elementalist thats about it.
That would be true if everyone would be equally good at this game, there are people who are useless without this “IWIN” button, if they cant do anything at all they dont play PVP at all and people who dont know how to outplay these “IWIN” button users dont stop playing they just get their own button.
People who only play warrior werent doing PVP at all, now there are load of warriors PVPing and those who cant beat warriors just join them.

They got data and they got tons of threads from hotjoin farmers, one thread where actual PVPers say that they want rewards for having high rank wont do no harm.
Ye and how many of them care that 50s will get bumped? Everyone who just got their rank by playing the freaking PVP dont care about it that much, its only the PVE farmers who care about rank so much that they are gonna make 5 topics about how they must have unique reward for it.

So theres multiple (not many tho) high ranks who say that it was difficult for them to get their high rank and it should be rewarded with something unique cause they are hardcore.
Problem is that i have checked most of them and i cant find them on any leaderboard, so where the f have they been playing if not in skyhammer farming maps, well maybe they just have been inactive in past few weeks and their rank decayed.
So if you are one of those guys, then post a screenie of PVP statistics and show how much effort you have actually put in achieving your rank, show how much time you have spent facing other teams, show how much time you have spent carrying people in soloque, show how many times you have earned top stats by doing something better than everyone else on team and show that your favourite map isnt skyhammer.
Ok, bhagwad if you deserve to be special so much then post screenshot of your PVP statistics, lets see how many team arenas and solo arenas youve done, or at least how many Top Stats you have earned. Who knows maybe you have been afking in hotjoins for your rank.
What rewards? number on pvp panel and finisher? Well gz you will be rewarded after patch with highest finisher and number there is. And you have your unique reward of grinding fun that almost noone else got.

I think i have listened enough to PVErs whining about how their grinding isnt rewarded and how they wont be able to pretend that they are good at PVP when ranks get nerfed.
Yup, now when new player picks up GW2 and will want to PVP for dragon finisher it will take him like half year of casual play to get max rank which is much more reasonable than 1.5 years of korean grindfest for rank 70
Max rank is something every PVPer wants to achieve, and beeing able to get to a new rank once a week will bring fresh meat for me to kill.

r55 is pretty attainable by anyone with easy hours.
There are going to be so so many dragon emotes that the mere finisher is going to have no consideration or prestige attached to it.That´s in any case, again only anet fault.
Its your own math, if rank 55 is 2 weeks and rank 70 takes 3-4 times more glory then you can get it in 6-8 weeks.

I have group of players on friendlist who just farm rank in teamque on bad teams and avoid all top players, they all are rank 60+ and i have alot of friends who only play when theres actual challange and even tho they play better and have better understanding of game mechanics they arent even rank 55
And theres no way you will make me think that this first group of players deserve some extra reward while the second group doesnt get anything, cause sorry but this is PVP and people should get rewarded for playing good not for playing alot.
There are 2 types of top players in this game those who learn slowly and need to make same mistake 10 times and those who learn fast and never make same mistake.
Im not saying you are worse because you need more time to learn things, but you arent better than people who understand things faster.

If you arent really slow learner, you got your experience by rank 30, after that doing same thing over and over and over again didnt give you any experience.
Now people who attend ESL weekly and fight top teams each week have real experience, how many of them are rank 70?
Its Player versus Player, and only way you should deserve reward is by playing better than other players do, did your climb to rank 70 prevent someone else from getting to rank 70?
If those who now are rank 60+ deserve special reward how about those who got to rank 60+ before they incrased rank point gain like 5 times? Shouldnt they get extra extra rewarded then.
After they decided to not remove rank points and started giving them out left and right, making weekends where you get even rank points, that was about the time when you had to realize that rank doesnt mean anything.
I feel sorry if it really was hard for you to play more than others do but anet have been showing how much they care about rank for some while now.
Cause rank is just PVE thing, it shows your time played thats all. How about all those ex-top players who have quitted or taking break till skilled play gets more recognition?
Most good players i know arent even rank 50, what about them? They win tourneys, outplay everyone and they get nothing, but now bunch players who just play alot more than others, do deserve something special?

When you first saw GW2 rank system you really thought that it will take more than 2 years for people to get max rank?
Few months ago everyone with above average rank was called skyhammer farmer now it suddenly means that player is skilled and deserves special reward?
You farmed your rank knowing that you get no rewards for it and that its just number on your PVP panel, guess what? Nothing will change after patch.

Old system was flawed and needed update they chose mid fifties cause thats where all who casually played since release are.

Its good change, i know rank 60s who are average and rank 40s who are pro. If by rank 40 you dont know how to play you arent the brightest kid on block and all after that is just mindless farming.
How about those who grinded to rank 60 before rank points got 5x incrase for teamq? Anyone feels remembers them? Nope.
Ive been casually pvping since release and have rank 53, is that any achievement? No it just shows my time investement.
What will happen after patch? Well probobly when i say to rank 60 thief to interrupt my casts instead of doing random headshots on nothing he will not look down on me in disbelief cause im lower rank.
PVP community is small and competition is low, i wanted rank 50 i got it, i wanted to get in top 100 teamque, i got there with PUG, i wanted to get in top 25 soloque i got there. Did i put effort into it and made me better? No i just realized that average player can get what he wants in PVP.
All these changes will help PVP community become bigger and that will bring more competition. Those who deserve to be on top will stay on top those who dont will probobly get pushed out by some CoF speedrun team.
Anyone else worried about these? They already are OP with little counterplay but after patch add perplexity runes and tadaaa

It takes little to no skill at all, you can interrupt heal or autoattack it doesnt even matter that much.
If you think playing one is hard just make 20/20/30 mesmer take staff+gs or gs/staff + sword/pistol and play it for hour, you wont be even close to mastering it but you will still kill everyone. If berserker is too hard just take rampager and take scepter for some condis.
I will just leave this here for you to flame me and say how mesmers are underpowered just so when all whining starts in month or so i can bump this topic with “TOLD YOU”

I think what is missing is 1v1 leaderboards. You see a lot of people talk a good game. Let’s see who actually is the top at 1v1. It would also be interesting to see which classes do the best.
You are missing the point that we need this feature for fun not competition, and the game is beeing balanced around teamplay not 1v1.
We already have enough whining about classes just because the whiner dies in 1v1
Yup dueling in PVE world would be amazing, no open world PVP was dissapointment for me but ok theres one faction and you can do it in WvW, but dueling would be just soooo cool, i love 1v1 and it was 30% of my gameplay in my old MMO.
Just prohibit dueling in all major cities, but PVE world is just FULL of places for EPIC duels.
Imagine duel on some bridge for example where you knock other guy down and continue fight in water.
Not sure about dueling in mists cause you can duel in custom servers, but its pity that i can show off my PVE gear in world but cant back it up with my 1v1 skillz ^^
Or maybe make every other race as small as asura?

Ye only the condition duration originally was meant for power necro CC and not to incrase condi necro damage.
This is actually very demotivating for me to continue playing power necro, cause i thought dhuumfire nerf will move condi necros back to their own traitline.
There is no reason to pvp on power necro because condi necro uses same traits just their damage is harder to avoid and they are more useful to team.
Mesmers wanted their lockouts be more powerful when they interrupt – now 10 seconds will completely kitten up necro and ele and ranger… these were the problems of mesmer? Cause i dont see how it helps mesmer against thief.
Eles wanted protection against condis – they got diamond skin, so was it any good? no, because you cant just give good condi protection to already powerful ele. imagine fresh air ele who doesnt have to worry about enemy condis.
Next patch they put in what people asked team deathmatch map – will it turn out good? no idea but im sure i will go there with my stealth thief and not with my necro.
People ask for things they think would work if the game would be made by their imagined design, anet implements these things in their designed game, so in the end these ideas dont work as they do in your mind.

Conquest is what keeps this game into balance, imagine perma stealth thief or PU mesmer in deathmatch, or chasing decap engi in CTF.
Ofcourse these things can be balanced out for the new game mode, but how much more adding new game mode will slow down conquest from becoming good?
I am waiting for better reward, better competition, better balance since release. But from what ive seen so far its just same old system with new objective.

Everyone on necro forums whine about how necromancer should be attrition class BAM “we continue our focus on survivability and attrition” what even is attrition? I think it has something to do with slow boring gameplay that requires little player skill or something?
All i know is that last thing every necro whined for was to make MM better… so how did that turn out? Everyone loves MM now?
Now mesmers, since this “emagherd pressing 1200 range instant interrupt is hard” spec started to become popular i heard people constantly saying how their “lockout” or w/e gw1 mesmer was awesome and gw2 totally needs it BAM here you go 10 second interrupt. Will it be good? If you interrupt crucial skill now its deadly already, later it will just be deadlier even if you interrupt this skill in worse moment.
Basicly all these changes i have heard before on forums. Some of them probobly will be good, but many will turn out bad. Everyone whined how badly broken warrior and necromancer is for first half year of game, even tho they just needed minor adjustements everyone said its worst thing ever and will never be good. So where is warrior and necromancer now? Well people still say they are broken, but in different context.
Same with elementalist now, bad players say its complete garbage when in reality it just takes more effort and most of elementalist problems are not because ele is bad but because some other classes have OP stuff. (thief on your tail 24/7 for example). So is every ele working on toning down thief? No, most are just asking for ele buffs, which will come and who knows how powerful ele will be in skilled hands.
Now and last thing is new game modes, for this thing many people are spilling tears for more than year now, and anet confirmed they are working on it. I cant even imagine how they are gonna implement this, but its already bad for current game.
I mean seriously what will new game mode give? People said they are bored of conquest one month after release. So adding capture the flag will keep people interested for few months?
Why people dont get bored of MOBAs? Because fun in PVP is all about competition.
In reality all we needed to go esportz was bigger player base which would be incrased by things like seasons and better reward system. + more frequent balance changes.
But ofcourse we get none of this because devs cant improve conquest while working on new game mode. In the end instead of having one esportz conquest we will have 2 unbalanced game modes.
And saying that conquest is boring is just BS, every single game with 2 equal teams is thrilling and almost every ESL weekly has some tight games, but it is boring because the lack of competition, no rewards and no difference between beeing in top 100 and top 900, makes it boring, if they just put in new game mode and doesnt add motivation to play this game mode, what will really change? Only the balance will become worse cause you really cant balance game for multiple game modes.
Listen to common sense not to community which mostly only opens mouth when they are raging about something and cant think clear.
Why destroy “no grind, everyone equal in pvp” policy just for minor annoyance?
Will having to unlock trait make you feel like you`ve accomplished something in game?
You want to make new traits to feel like progression? Ok fine make them require rank 60 and cost 50 gold!
But no it will be super easy to get them so i really dont see any reason why just throw major bonus of gw2 PVP away.
Did new heals costing skill points make you feel better when you unlock them? No they just annoy you if you want to try them out on new character.
Only bonus to these unlocks ive heard so far is that their gonna stop newbies from quing up for games without any pvp experience…
I am quite sure that if these new traits are required for meta specs, instead of no newbies we will get newbies that arent even playing meta spec.
It just makes no sense because these unlocks are removing QoL and thats it.
Plus interrupt mesmer is very hard to play compared to most other PvP specs.
wow really? have you even tried it out? i know on paper it sounds hard, but i would really suggest you trying it out first then you will realize how “hard” it actually is.

I dont really care, but tbh i dont get it the 25 skillpoints isnt big deal and probobly unlocking traits wont be either so why would you want to dismiss such a big selling point of a game just to make PVPer life slightly harder? Its nothing big but for sure i cant say anymore that GW2 PVP doesnt require you to do some grinding before you start it.
You will still eat mesmers alive if you get a good condi bomb and can fear their lyssa :x
Ye only if we would have a way to apply conditions without cast times or if mesmer wouldnt be able to protect lyssa with invulnerability, and next patch there wont even be dhuumfire on scepter 1 spam , not even talking about that i play power necro.

I would want to say that i pvp for fun but tbh no rewards take out all motivation.
During wintersday i was literally playing ALL the time because i was making loads of gold with wintersday gift, then i played because of mystic coffers and dyes, now in 2 days i have done 1 soloque just to check whats the reward is.
For me PVP is down for maintenance, well at least i can get some gold now when all my time isnt wasted on PVPing.
TBH for me its not about next patch its about next next patch, i am sure that next patch will be good and will make me play more, BUT its only logical that it will cause new balance issues and that PvP will need more improvements, and if it will take another 4 month for one more PvP patch then i might just give up on this game cause PvP need constant attention to be good and balanced.
Just an example would be current “stuck bug”, basicly its gamebreaking bug that would get hotfixed on 2nd day after finding it out if anet would take PvP more seriously, but here we are more than 4 month and noone has even approved that it will be fixed in next patch.
