healing signet alone is extremely underwhelming, you almost can’t tell you have a healing skill equipt.
its only when you combine it with adrenal health (which also ups your healing power) that it becomes good, still many classes have similar heals,
i’ve been having a blast with an Unload, ricochet, SoM thief.
Unload hits 8 times over about 1 second, SoM heals for around 140 for each hit and each hit has a 50% chance to bounce, and that extra shot has a 50% chance to bounce, each of those extra bounces is another 140 heal, your screen fills with green numbers!
guardian signet heals for 9k+ on a 32sec CD (with trait) which works out to 281 per sec
thats not even counting the passive heal from their virtue
mesmers have the new signet which passively heals for a ton, pretty much healing signet for a class with stealth and AI.
i could go on to the health-regen you can stack on a ranger, or the endless heals you can spam as an engineer, but it’ll take too much time XD
Until Heartseeker gets tweaked (maybe +1 initiative cost?) there will be a ton of bad thieves running around in full glass spec pressing 2222222222 thinking they are ninjas or something.

i used to love heartseekers on my longbow warrior (before bow wars became meta),
hit em with Pin Down and watch them waste all of their initiative 2 2 2ing and going nowhere
thieves are an example of a good class,
bad players will do badly, good players will do good, pro players will be godly.
or everyone could just join me in making an ultimate glasscannon spec and spamming Unload with ricochet
its one of those builds that really shouldn’t be as fun (and sometimes effective) as it is XD

when you first join a match none of your signet passives will be active until you either spend the time to reslot them or until you die.
this bug has been around since the dawn of time, any chance you folks can squish it?
my favourite builds at the moment are very signet heavy (my warrior has a signet in every slot!) so it becomes quite a chore to reselect them each time i change server! (when the map rotation get back around to skyhammer)

the first GW had a similar way to skip aftercasts and it’s been around for nearly a decade now
sure i hate moa, but i hate MMs more.
and moa is the most reliable way to ruin a MMs day
it has almost everything i don’t want in a map..
a big cannon for noobs to use to kill someone on the other side of the map? CHECK.
lots of a(w)kward and unnecessary jumping? CHECK.
fall damage galore? CHECK.
death holes for troll knockback/pull spam builds to abuse? CHECK.
seriously, they should just throw some “water combat” in there too,
why hold back on the FAIL-o-meter when its so close to an absolute failure.

as the title says when you first join an underway pvp game all of your signets will have their passive effects disabled until you either die, activate or reselect them.
this makes joining pvp games quite annoying having to reselect all of my skill bar over and over and over!
hoping for a fix!
1. skyhammer removed from rotations, arenas and memory
(would require the use of an Asuran Memory Obliterator)
2. a button for hotjoin that never puts me in as a spectator
3. stackable locker (or just make acquired gear unlocked and accessible forever)
(this includes higher/unlimited stacking for powders/crystals etc)
4. build versatility and balance (make more builds viable and bring the EZmode builds in line with the others, LESS AI, its pvp!)
5. racial skills (i loved when they were in during betas, and perhaps you’d see less asuras, warriors might pick sylvari for the root, a thief might pick norn for stealthy snow leopard form, and an engineer might choose charr for the fun of charrzooka!)
great vid! though i don’t know how you can stand Litany of Wrath
you have to do around 35,000 damage during the 6 second window to get litany to heal for similar values to the signet :P
i really, really, REALLY wanted Litany to be a great heal for aggressive play, but its just so underperforming.

sadly gotta agree with Oxygen, while its not “dead” there are very few occupied servers, and this is peak time, plus long waits for solo que (i can’t speak for team que)
its not dead but it has alot less pvpers than other MMOs
for a “1 class team” i’d kill to see a full MM squad with their 30 minions stomping everything in a flood of trolololol.
for the best class for the average player, warrior.
for the best class for super uber skilled folk, thief/engineer.
and i don’t say this lightly, in the hands of a mere mortal like me, a theif/engi can be “ok”
but when played by someone who’s dedicated themselves to mastering that class they are truly amazing, the thief becomes an unattackable nuke machine and the engi becomes a none stop ride of damage and survivability.
my final verdict for “best class” would have to go to either warrior (using pretty much any build) or Necro (using MM)
and by best i mean the best results without requiring skill,
they are by no means the most fun!
mine:
Deep Strike (for fun full signet builds, gives you insane crit chance!)
Sweet Revenge (because nothing is as trololol as finishing the person who downed you)
Stabilized Armour (this 20% reduction to damage whenever you are CCed goes amazing with protection, it makes hammer warriors feel like they’re attacking you with feathers.)
Executioner (a flat 20% damage boost on anyone under 50% hp, yes please!)
Vampiric Master (with the right build this makes for some pretty amazing sustainability!)

As the title suggests,
animal forms are a huge part of the Norn race and we should be able to utilize them better than we currently can.
currently the mesmer class has a powerful elite which turns their enemies into a Moa, this disables their utility bar and healing skill and also replaces all of their skills with weak skills which can’t be used while moving.
this is pretty much the same function as the norn forms, but they’re self targeted!
proposal
The cooldown:
make it reasonable! 240 seconds is crazy, 90 or 120 would be reasonable.
The Skills:
let them be used while on the move, and increase their effectiveness,
currently they’re weaker than your classes auto attacks and can’t be used while moving, this is crazy!
(note: snow leopard is already an exception to this with skills usable on the move)
side note:
it would also be REALLY cool from an RP standpoint if you would add another ability to the utility bar which instantly ends the elite but applies a none combat costume of that form (like using a tonic), letting norns hang around / RP in animal forms they’ve unlocked.

i’m not sure if it should be this or something else, but i agree whole heartedly that the skill needs to change!
currently he only reason for the existence of the GS bust skill is to let you know when you have enough adrenaline to switch weapons and use a burst skill…
if i was running a heightened focus build however i’d love the current GS burst!

there was someone with phoenix finisher in hot joins last week,
i don’t see the point of finishers anymore,
it’s just saying “hey look how much time i’ve spent jumping down a hole on skyhammer”…
its getting to a state were anyone Bear and up is considered a statpadder in my eyes,
which really sucks for those who spent the hard time working for their ranks.
20% is just too low to make it a viable alternative to the others,
for raw healing you can’t beat the signet,
8-9k heal on a 32 second CD (with signet recharge trait)
in order for Litany to heal for similar numbers you’d need to deal 35,000 damage in the next 6 seconds…
something needs to change, either make the buff last for a meaningful duration (15-20s) or make the healing 40-50%.
i think retaliation is death for any weapon kit,
grenades are hilarious, you lose a large chunk of HP each time you throw them.

i for one LOVE my ele in pvp.
it really is the mage class right now, you can dish out a colossal amount of damage but you’re extremely squishy to compensate.
theres nothing quite as epic as melting the faces of every enemy on point within seconds…
4k meteor shower ticks, 3k lavafont ticks, 3k fireballs all at the same time.
its ridiculously high aoe damage, and it comes at the price of being ridiculously squishy, fair trade
or pull out the ole’ fiery greatsword and let your enemies watch their healthpools evaporate like butter in a frying pan. >:-3
ofcourse its only for those of us who like the playstyle that massive damage and low survival offers.
i can’t speak about bunker specs because i don’t play my ele for that, but for glass cannon ele is the king of damage

the birthday scroll you get which levels you to 20 (instant 16 skill points) and then the skill point challenges in the starting zones.
but beware, most of the new heals are useless/less useful
using the lv20 birthday scroll instantly gets you to 16 skill points
then i popped 5 tomes of knowledge (a mere 7500 glory and 1g)
then did afew skill point things in the starting zone.
its really not that hard,
if you don’t want to spend any gold or glory just get a high level guildy and you could just do 25 skill point challenges in about an hour.
with any luck they’ll review their data and see that noone is doing the daily anymore and revert the change.
edit:
just checked out the achievements for myself, expecting that they’d made team and solo wins a requirement of the daily. (which would suck)
but you can still get your daily done exactly as you used to (i do mine in hotjoin), all they’ve done is added more achievements,
i don’t see the issue!

in pve to level an alt from 1-80 within a couple of hours it costs you around 200g (from crafting) so 16g and 120k glory is ridiculously cheap in comparison.
also you aren’t bolted in to pvp, you could go to pve and do nothing but skill points and be done within afew hours.
i think these skills are anets first step into bridging the gap between pvp and pve so expect all future skills to need to be unlocked to use them.
and if you haven’t played pve atall then you’re really missing out!
Yes, the gold and glory requirements for arah, inquest and koda is the lowest because those sets are included in the tournament chests which means they are the easiest to aquire, so many people already have them.

sounds pretty much like the old dervish heal that rather than letting you die healed you to around 75% hp
i’m curious if it will work with our trait that recharges all heals at low health, because that could be pretty OP having effectively 3 health bars.
engi’s will probablu get a HoT similar to the ranger one, because we have everything else i can think of!

throwable heals
big standard heal
so a HoT is about the only thing left :P
very easy fix really, when “person A” kills a keep lord/guard, player, siege engine etc the system should check who has healed/buffed him recently (in this case Person B who is playing a water staff ele and doing nothing but throwing down healing areas and buffs) and that person should also get the same reward as the rest of the group who got xp from killing.
this would be pretty unexploitable (you’d need to be where the action is since only recently healed/buffed allies will count as your tag) and it would allow the players who enjoy healing to focus on healing rather than zerging up the ramp passed half a dozen injured allies in order to tag the lord.
they’ll probably turn in to “pvp xp” boosters or something,
i’d imagine they’ll still have value,
or they might just do what they did with tournament tickets and let you trade them in for rewards, or maybe even gold
all this change says to me is “jump in skyhammer and get bear before they remove it!”
i’ve grinded spvp too long to have it stolen away.

so its not for a long time and you’ll still keep whatever rank finisher you have (but won’t be able to progress further),
they’re just making it more competitive for the “new ranks”

i think a good and easy solution (until they have the time to make fancy changes) is to simply give us a show/hide option for kits where our pistols/rifle etc are shown stowed.
this would solve 2 problems:
1. it would remove the aptly named “hobosacks” which ruin the look of many engi’s
2. it would let everyone see your shiny legendary
people could try to argue that our backpacks need to be seen to let enemies know what kit we’re using, but lets face it, they all pretty much look the same, especially if the engineer is facing you!
honestly its not that serious, you’ll only need to deal around 2k damage (for the average health pool) to drop them below 90%, thats what? a couple of hits?
all condition skills deal damage so all this trait really boils down to is “the first couple of condition skills used against you fail”
they should change healing signet completely.

XP so i can level my chars for WvW without grinding pve.
the ability to spend glory on pvp skins (with higher cost for more exotic skins) rather than skins being tied to rank.
i used to run a MM necro before it became the meta for everyone to spam NPCs,
i feel like just another clone now when i do.
also that pic makes me want to grab my axe warrior and whirl the fudge out of everything XD
as the title says, an increase to win glory is a necessity when looking at the current game (especially hot join) you will get more glory randomly group zerging the first enemy you see when your enemy has all 3 bases THIS IS JUST WRONG!
winner glory needs to be triple the value it is now atleast to make objective actually rewarding.
currently if you spend a whole game successfully guarding an objective you’ll be the lowest scoring member of either team because everyone else was mindlessly killing people.
1. more build diveristy and fexibility.
2. balance.
3. reward system made rewarding.
if these patchnotes are correct then i can’t wait to try out some builds!
a deathblossom skale venom thief could be very potent,
a mortar engineer from 1600 could be fun in hotjoin,
a fire staff ele, a condition earth ele could also be fun.
overall best patch i’ve seen so far, reminiscent of old GW1 patches

but back on GW2,
Asura for everything (except norn for clonespam mesmer) if you’re after an advantage, otherwise pick your favourite.
asura are smaller (which instantly makes you less of a target in hotjoins)
they also have the hardest to read animations where as a norn have big sweeping obvious animations.
i personally hate asura so i forfeit the advantages in place of not playing as an ugly three-toed midget.
one of my all time favourite warrior combos is longbow F1>pindown>weapon swap (with quickness or poison rune)>shield bash>flurry.
it gives them burning and takes them to 25 stacks of bleed for a couple of seconds (and they’re immobilized and stunned) its LETHAL
That would be TERRIBLE for balance. Some racial elites would allow a Norn to traverse most of the map in an instant. Other normal racial utilities would also be far to good in PvP.
tbh thats what i was thinking about! you’d have norn “striders” rushing points in animal forms while sylvari/human “rooters” try to stop them in their tracks and charr “sapper’s” drop landmines on points.
and the biggest thing you’d have…diversity, you’d have to think what race best suits your playstyle, it wouldn’t just be a mandatory asurafest based on the difficulty of reading their animations.
you could give Poison a go, the 33% damage could be nice!
theres Sigil of Doom which makes your next attack after swapping to the weapon apply 5 secs of poison. (which is’nt much)
or even (though i’m not sure if i’ve even seen them in pvp) “Rune of Orrian”, it has a 5% chance to proc 11 secs of poison every 10 secs when you’re hit, that “could” be a nice thing to try though its a condition rune so its more for sword/longbow.
i know poison is a nice debuff for bunkers, we just only have those 2 ways to apply it unfortunately :S
tbh they should give warriors deep wound again!
i’d like to actually go the other way and have racials put back into pvp, that way there would be a reason to pick a race you love like charr for might/fury, or sylvari for the root/turrets
but yeah its silly that a tiny asuran warrior can actually do more damage than a big burly norn warrior purely because people might not even realize the asuran is using 100b where as the norn shouts and screams and flails around like “MOVE AWAY NAOW!”
alot of them i wish had no ICD (or atleast lower ICD)
and i wish the “on crit life steal” rune was reworked to be similar to the old vampiric rune from GW (constant dot but life steal on hit)
also dolyak runes i’d like to see the heal increased
Warrior’s problem is that you are forced to take sertain utilities.
w/o balanced stances – you are cc-d till death and can’t land a hit.
w/o frenzy you are too slow and can’t excute fast dmg that difficult to be evaded
w/o bull’s charge you can’t execute well combo properly or even if you can it won’t be enough w/o it
w/o endure pain you would die to any opponent trying to tunnel you.
and without shake it off AND the signet that cures condis you’ll die to conditions
there are too many “must have”s that you can’t take them all.
the warrior is playable, and can own it up in hotjoin, but in a game where you can pick any class why would you pick the class that can do “ok” when you could pick a class that is better at what you plan to use it for?
