if you have Sigil of Rage you can use axe whirl to get it to proc and then spam 1 like a bad mofo,
you can also use it as a nice adrenaline builder or to finish off a low HP thief in shadow refuge,
it has its uses, shield just seems more valuable with its block and stun.
to be honest they look legendary because they ARE legendaries!
if you want a weapon that does’nt blast out with in-your-face animations get a different weapon.
legendaries stand out by design!

hate to cliche, but WoW had it decent, kills gave low points, you got a huge win bonus if you win or a small lose bonus if you lose, if they gave the winning team 500 points and the losing team 200 points and lowered the kill points you’d see more people focusing on objectives.
ofcourse that method also means afkers get points at the end even if their team loses, so we’d need a report function.

your insane crit chance and permanent fury combined with the “furious” trait and decreased burst cost mean you can usually use your tier 3 burst skill every time its off cooldown.

i think there is a difference between stability/block stomping and godmode stomping,
one can be countered, the other is just a sealed deal.
i think stability/block stomping should be allowed,
but invulnerable stomping is a bit too far.

i also think its a bug that you can continue a channel if you activate your godmode during the channel, so you could say godmode stompers are exploiting!
frostbow stun / aoe and fire greatsword are the only ones i really use,
axe is used to quick, shield sucks, i did play around with lightning hammer melee build but thought it was too squishy
i’d expect a turret rework in the future, as they are they’re a waste of a slot.
perhaps maybe rocket or net for the CC, but rifle turret is weak and useless.
so along with constant evade and mass aoe bleed stacking you want deathblossom thieves to get big heals from condit scaling aoe lifestealing?
PvP is separate yet parallel to the pve game by design. I think this is good. It would be nice to have something shared between the two… but I can’t think of anything. What use is laurels to a pvp player? What use is exp to a pvp player? Best you can do is titles and achievement points.

a player wants xp, i’d love it if i could play my chars in pvp and get xp so i can wvw at 80 later on, or get some wvw blueprints with the surplus amounts of glory that i’ve piled up with nothing to spend on.
theres nothing worse than being a bringer of death in spvp and then stepping into wvw as a lv5 scrub to be devoured.
i hate to bring up the wow cliche, but in WoW pvp you get xp so you can enjoy levelling the way you want, hate the 10-30 grind? sure do some pvp, enjoy the 30 instance? sure after the pvp to 30 go instance, not a fan of the 40 content? go pvp!
it makes pvp/pve feel alot less apart.

as a warrior all of my speed boosts are effected by slows,
give the D/D noobs the same treatment!
dont give them special exceptions,
they’re already playing the easiest spec in the game.
all down states are just a couple of seconds of spiel.
guardian: you start downing, they push you back, you run over, down them.
warrior: you start downing, they knock you, you get up, down them.
mesmer: you start downing, they port, you wait for them to appear, down them.
ranger: you start downing, they rupt, may even wolf fear, down them.
engineer: you start downing, they pull, you get back up, down them.
thief: you start downing, they port, you run over, down them.
ele: you start downing, they mist, you follow, down them.
also at No Walking’s “I want mesmer #1 in downed state to be a 1 shot kill move” joke
thats their 3 summons a phantasm which i’ve had crit for 8k before.
getting ganked by multiple thieves, dying and the death screen saying that you took 14k damage from heartseeker spam… /ultimate facepalm
we’ve all been there, we’ve all had the stress,
you click a 14/16 game, but instead of getting in you get a 30 second+ wait and then a lovely popup telling you the game is full,
because thats obviously what 14/16 means.
as i write this i’ve spent the last 3-4 minutes clicking games as empty as 13/16 and am still getting the hellish popup.

warriors are about the worst class for condition builds too

a (nearly) viable way of using a condition build is to use the longbow burst skill and then switch to rifle and spam 1, this will apply bleed and burning each shot
someone suggested that banners work as they do but be wielded in the offhand
(giving you the 2 actual banner skills and removing the trashy attacks and drop)
i think that’d be fantastic using a sword and banner, both for not having useless “smack” attacks, and also from looking like a total kitten!
this has been asked for already. not sure why it takes so long for them to implement because it should be fairly easy to do
its pvp, the (literally) severed limb of GW2, left to rot.

currently spamming out aoes seems a decent counter to clone spammers.

I don’t think he means needing a prize, he says “feels alot more rewarding”, some gameplay can feel more rewarding than others, e.g – gameplay with instagibbing, that is simplistic, spammy, etc can feel cheap, one dimensional and unrewarding.

playing the same game mode over and over to get a millimeter of a bar of “rank” which will lead to 9 more bars before finally you get a couple more sets of armor,
its not about prizes but it currently feels entirely unrewarding,
to put it in perspective, its like the scene in Labyrinth where she’s running down the corridor and the end of the corridor just keeps getting further and further as she runs.
if they’d give us the ability to buy ALL armor (for increasingly higher glory costs based on appearance) we’d have goals, something to aim for, not the endless corridor or rank farming.
deathblossom/caltrop builds are the only thing i have an issue with,
everyone getting 20 AoE stacks of bleed from someone whos invisible or unattackable is pretty ridiculous lol.
char look awesome in the lv 30 “dry bones” gear

1. you need to stand inside your enemy to use this build.
2. you need to spec entirely glass cannon.
3. its a one trick pony, after you pop your few skills you’re on cooldown.
4. your enemy needs to be standing still.
5. all of this happening in 1 second means it is avoided with a single dodge.
so all in all, you’re dead from afew hits, you need to stand in the middle of the action and you’re only useful for a second.
sure it sucks if you get caught out by it, but that happens what? 1 in every 10 attempts?
for elites i WISH i had the signet on other classes, fury, might and swiftness up for something like 35 seconds then only a mere 10 seconds left on CD (or something similar)
there are far worse elites on other classes, just look at ranger/ele/engi
for disengage with greatsword you can easily get the hell out of dodge with 3 and 5 skills.
things i agree with:
warriors are too squishy and have the least viable bunker builds of all classes,

my highest ever score in pvp was as a longbow warrior, scoring 330 :-3
use mouse for turning, ramp up the mouse sensitivity through the roof
there are’nt “weak” professions, but there are overpowered professions which make the others appear weak,
for example a warrior fighting a D/D ele would appear weak,
simply because the d/d ele is overpowered
i’m worried that by the time they finally get around to adding another mode there will be that few people that splitting the playerbase between even more queues would kill it entirely, it already feels stretched pretty thin between paid, frees, and structured, imaging adding paid deathmatch, free deathmatch and structured deathmatch?
WoW is actually pretty fun, played it since before the first expansion,
the pvp feels alot more rewarding,
theres no one shotting,
theres no class like the mesmer spamming an army of clones,
the warriors can actually take a hit without crumbling like paper,
and theres the beloved holy trinity,
that being said, theres also a gear=skill factor which sucks, and a subscription fee.
i’m sticking with GW2 for now hoping the devs throw pvpers a much needed bone
cooldown needs to be alot lower, but i think a toggle would be too powerful with things like snow leopard dash and invis.
i’d like a purely cosmetic toggle though that works like an everlasting tonic but does’nt give you skills, just for RPing
same issue with warrior Healing Signet, the passive ticks for 200 every second,
the active effect is a 3,3k heal, PUNY.
by activating that 3,3k heal you lose the passive effect which would healed you for 4000 over the 20 second cooldown.
so activating it will actually reduce the healing you get…
gold chests give you so many dyes! 50/50 it seems and you can get more than 1,

i would’nt want to see them removed,
just everyone given an equal footing,
such as the “sturdy bodied”™ warrior who has no protection buff, no regen buff (unless you spec for banners lol) and only one utility skill to mitigate damage (endure pain) which lasts a puny 3 seconds on a 90 second cooldown.
compare that to eles with arcane shield, mist form, armor of earth and then you see a problem.
solution: give the “Sturdy Bodied Warrior”™ some Sturdy Bodied utilities.
aoe nerfs are coming in february and they will shake up the game in a BIG way. pretty much everything will change. just relax.

in pvp i’ve only scored 300 several times, and only scored 325 once,
and that 325 was as longbow warrior!
i rolled 0/30/0/10/30 focusing on crits and conditions, with 70%(90 with fury)
combine the 30 point “furious” trait that grants adrenaline on crits and the 30 point “adrenaline skills cost less” you can pretty much use your burst with stage 3 adrenaline every time its off cooldown.
i use either “Flame Legion” or “Pack” runes and the amulet with over 700 crit and a nice amount of condition damage
it goes Temple > Forest > Foefire > Khylo > CRAPricorn
so always try to join temple so you can get the most playtime before leaving when it gets to crapricorn.
i think thats one reason attunement eles are as strong as they are, they can use skills constantly where as other classes get 4 skills and then just auto attack while their 4 skills are on CD, or weapon swap getting 4 more but disabling the other s for 10 seconds.
ele can burn through 4 skills, burn through 4 more, burn through 4 more, burn through 4 more and then start over!
i love it when you down a thief who’s spamming 2 2 2 2 2 2 2, they end up wasting their teleport lol
