The best type of of nourishment for your condi necro will be tuning crystals. They can be created from artificery using 5 dust. Depending on the tier you will get different stats on how much is converted to condi dmg.
t1 – Apprentice Tuning Crystal
t2 -Journeyman Tuning Crystal
t3 – Standard Tuning Crystal
t4 – Artisan Tuning Crystal
t5 – Quality Tuning Crystal
t6 – Master Tuning CrystalIf you want me to make some for you. Send me a pm in game
You forgot t7: Toxic Focusing Crystal. :3
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I will keep this post updated as is needed.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I guess the title says it all… due to several reasons, I’m not inclined to disclose too many details here. You could say that we’re trying to keep this under wraps… um, too hard to explain.
<insert some guild advert here, oh, I don’t know>
Please do drop me a PM in game and we’ll talk. If I am not available, send a mail to me. :)
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
^
Exactly that. Healing abilities scale purely off your healing power.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Intriguing… if they were to make this a reality, being able to ascend exotic upgrades would be nice, much like how ascended inscriptions and insignias require an exotic version first.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Well, if you really want to know the details…
2x Gift of Mastery – 1,050,000 karma, 1,000 Badges of Honor + 1g, 400 skill points, 2 Gifts of Exploration (world completion gives you 2, fortunately)
2x Gift of Fortune – 154 Mystic Clovers, 500 ectos and of every fine T6 material (in the form of Gifts of Might and Gifts of Magic, 2 each)
Dawn and Dusk (yikes)
Gift of Sunrise – Gift of Light (100 Charged Lodestones, 250 ori ingots, 250 ref. T6 leathers and Gift of Ascalon), Gift of Metal (250 of steel, darksteel, mithril and ori ingots), 100 Icy Runestones (costing 100g total) and a Superior Sigil of Battle
Gift of Twilight – like Gift of Sunrise, except you use Onyx Lodestones and Superior Sigil of Leeching
For Eternity itself:
Sunrise
Twilight
5 Piles of Crystalline Dust
10 Philosopher’s Stones
I guess it will cost you about 2000 gold or so? Probably higher, maybe lower, but I’m bad at estimating large numbers, and I already have a Sunrise, so Eternity seems pointless to me.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
That’s a lot of money… say, would you mind showing your stats?
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Funny you ask, because anyone with either a Sunrise or Twilight could tell you, then you can just remember Eternity requires BOTH of them. :)
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Actually, you’d be surprised how useful the current combo is in dungeons like AC. What does need fixing is the projectile finisher – it only affects allies who stand right next to the target.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
25 really isn’t hard to get if you farm champs.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
If you’re talking solely about illusions, their defense will be the same as yours, since illusions will inherit all your stats save for vitality.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Most people will only be jerks to you if you offend them, so just keep your mouth shut and follow a commander around, you’ll be safer than running alone. Let’s face it, you are a grown man and this game really is one of the least punishing MMOs when it comes to dying. So what if you die? The worst that can happen is paying a 1.64s repair fee and having to run back to where you died.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
When I saw that he said he was from Blackgate, I felt an immediate urge to smash my head against a wall.
PS: You don’t trust people in WvW? I wouldn’t trust anyone whose name is in red. Get over it, you have no way of talking to them directly either. I don’t see how they can exploit your, uh, gullibility, if you are at all gullible.

Complaining about it won’t get you anywhere, only WASD will. If you think it’s a pain to get now, you should have tried it back when server colours were determined solely by Glicko ratings.

Um, will the passive work like regen? The description isn’t very clear.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
You can’t do anything about them aside from vendoring or trashing them.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Vote Sunrise! Because I already have one!
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Zodiac daggers? Those are not out of reach – I’ve checked the prices, it’s ~120g for one. A legendary can easily cost 20 times that. Go save up some money and grab them! :3
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Is it Incinerator that you want? If so, go get them. They aren’t going to drop from the sky for you (although Spark might – get lucky there!), so start working if you want it.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I’ve never gotten a single precursor as a drop, not even from the magic toilet, and I’ve played well in excess of 2000 hours. I’ve only ever traded gold for gems.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Or you can do the champ train events in Queensdale and get pretty rich at the end selling all the things you get. The leveling rate is 1 level /hour or less. it will feel like a Nascar race with hundreds of laps going from troll, to bandit then oak and spider following up to the boar. From time to time you might take a pit stop route to the wasp.
This, with a caveat:
If you’re going to do this to 80, you will most likely end up brain dead and hunger for money.
/end disclaimer
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
After level 375 in all disciplines save for Chef, you will need to buy a recipe sheet from the related master crafter to unlock the recipe for a rare inscription. From 400 onwards you can craft exotics, which are the only viable way to get to 500. They work the same way as getting rare inscriptions, except the formula is different. If you do not have any interest in ascended weapons, then you can simply stop at 400.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
You get karma from completing a set of fractals if the difficulty scale is lower than your personal reward level.
The formula is:
[640 + (8 x fractal difficulty scale)] x [personal reward level – fractal difficulty scale] (max difference of 10)

Look in your inventory, there should be an item that will give you the skill point (and thus complete the challenge) when you use it.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
A legendary is just an ascended weapon with a higher rarity, the ability to change stat combos out of combat, and most importantly, a completely unique appearance (compared to conventional ascended weapons).
That’s about it.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Desolation is the place to be!
Ironic server name…
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
1800? No, it’s 1500, and that’s with the trait. Rangers and engineers are able to hit this far when traited correctly.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
but… why is that an “issue”?
>I got an item with a certain amount of effort and I enjoyed it
>new version of said item comes out cheaperup till that point I see no problem whatsoever and I don’t wanna think that the problem is that now people can get this new version with less effort… i’d understand that for Legendary skins maybe, but cultural armor is really common and easy to get, also you know who got it the “hard” way and who got it from the gemstore just by looking at the weird fire effect
You guys are being quite childish here, If you have your cultural armor and you like it, be happy, you should not care if someone else is getting it for 1 silver a piece, good for them, I have my stuff, I enjoy it, that’s all that matters
If I sold you something expensive and a cheaper version was released that works just as well, would you feel ripped off? That you overpaid? This is not solely about other races getting what was supposed to be exclusive to humans, it’s also about a perceived loss of value for what we already own.
It’s one thing to give a discount for an item. It’s another to blatantly rip off another skin marketed as exclusive and then sell it for a lower price when the original is still available with no changes.
In short, causing an outrage in your player base is a horrible idea, unless you really want to be voted worst company of all time.

It just looks like a giant air purifier with Molten tech…
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
What server are you on?
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Fear the mesmer who runs up to you with two swords in hand unless they suck. Warriors? Not so much.
That is all I can say here.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I have a human mesmer with a full set minus the headgear (because it looks odd). For months on end I have been happily flaunting it because the skin was exclusive to humans. I’ve sunk over 2000g on this character, if that is any testament to how much I like it.
The new skin looks great on a human. Naturally, since the original skin was designed solely for human characters. But to imagine some fat norn in that appearance? Urgh.
I can’t think of how else to express my thoughts on this, so this will have to do.
tl:dr: This is a big slap in the face to anyone with a human with light T3, myself included.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
It’s a fact that there are a lot of humans in light T3… but this is just a hard slap in the face to me.
insert string of perceived vulgarities that would be filtered out as an expression of rage and disappointment
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
What if Scarlet started sounding like a certain 10-year old boy with buck teeth and a pink cap? Hmm… intriguing.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
All I can say is your sample sizes are too small. You will need a much bigger sampling distribution if you want to properly predict the actual probabilities of getting ori from salvaging.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
You will do well with any class that excels at kiting… which means it’s either a ranger or a mesmer for you.
I vote mesmer.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
You’re 4 months too late, mate.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
If you transmute the capacitor’s skin, yes, but that would be a waste.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I wish for a Santa hat.
I’m serious.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
That would be nice, but it would have to have a time limit like say, within 3 minutes of making the purchase or people will start “borrowing” weapons from the vendors.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
On a similar note, let’s make it so people can’t buy items from the dungeon vendors that the character they bought it for can’t use.
That would actually annoy some people, because there are people who buy exotics they can’t use with the express intent of salvaging them for an inscription. A person who played a thief would be forced to spend 300 tokens instead of 210 just to acquire an exotic for this purpose because none of the offhand-only weapons can be equipped by a thief. Sure, that person may be expendable as a customer, but in an ideal business there will be no irate customers or complaints – no negativity.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I’m pretty angry at Anet right now, and I think I should stop posting tbh.
be angry at yourself not them .
For what? Making a mistake anyone could make?
I was in business for a long time. If a long term customer who spent a lot of money with me bought a software program he couldn’t use and tried to return it right away, I’d give him his money back…even if it was his mistake.
Why? Because kitten ing off loyal customers isn’t smart business. No matter who’s mistake it is.
I don’t think you realise just how expendable you are.
Of course I’m expendable. Any one single customer in my business was expandable too. Any one. Any two. We had plenty of customers. There’s always another.
Which has nothing to do with the point. There’s no reason to take a person who spends money every month and will likely continue to spend money and make them feel bad about supporting your business. No reason at all.
But are you now going to stop spending money on the game? Will this incident stop you from buying more gems?
No.
So Anet managed to make you spend more money than intended and keep you coming back for more. Seems to me they’re doing their monetary business just right.
All you’re doing here is just showing everyone that you lack a conscience, and implying that you would resort to underhanded means to take someone’s money. Not all businesses are entirely money-minded. If you had to contact customer support for any issue, would you prefer to take no for a response? I think not, since that would leave your problem unresolved.
Really, if you’re just here to gloat over someone’s mistake, keep it in your own mind, nobody wants to know how unpleasant you can be.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Instead of waiting for Lady Luck to smile on you, why not just go work for that precursor?
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
You have free content every 2 weeks.
yeah its free…but im not gonna play it if it sucks
you can get expired food for free…are you going to eat it?
If you had a choice between expired food and no food, would you eat it?
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
This post somehow reminded me of back in the days of RuneScape, when everyone required end-game gear to get into a party for an end-game boss, but the end-game gear was dropped only by that boss.
It’s only gotten worse, and who in their right mind would pay millions for gear that vanishes completely when it fully degrades?
But hey, it’s an old game, and to each his own, I guess. I always preferred safer activities because death in RuneScape was more punishing than in here.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I did hear a rumor that an item for extracting upgrades without destroying the equipment would be available someday… just hope it’s true. For now, there’s nothing you can do about it.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Why wouldn’t normal runes remain in ascended armor then? Ascended weapons possess normal upgrade slots, don’t see a need to deviate with armor.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
The nicest looking skins (subjective, but holds true for a significant majority) are all level 80, but as people have said, you can use transmutation crystals to reskin your weapons. Personally I do enjoy this horizontal progression, and I have a preference for joke weapons, like this.
