its a major annoyance on my cond damage staff mesmer when im playing with a guardian; because my burns conflict with their passive virtue of justice( is it justice? my guard is still pretty low level) and they hardly ever invest in condition damage
couldnt you just trade dungeon tokens in and salvage for ecto? any dungeon with (is it) 68+(?) rare gear means its 30 tokens for a chance at ecto
ive barely done FotM at all though; so cant comment on over abudance of relics
ive only ran TA as my warr/ranger (enough for two full sets though),
with my warr i go up and melee them; side step the red dots and dodge/whirlwind/shield stance the aoe knockdowns
as my ranger (knight armour with ruby orbs, beserker everything else) i go max range (>1500) which gives me plenty of time to dodge any circles under my feet/i can focus on managing my pet more (though i have to destroy the blossoms inbetween me and whatever i told my pet to attack)
NMVs are easy unless you have a super low dps party
worst thing about TA (imo) are the knights

especially if it let us quickly equip mini pets/swap gear
all the fractal ‘jumping’ areas ive seen (granted; i barely play fractals; so no doubt i havent seen a few) are all ridiculously easy, and i like that they add some variety to the dungeon
Or at least make the puzzle designers do their testing as a max size Charr.
Preferably while another max size Charr is also trying to do the same thing. All you get is a big screen full of Charr.
learn where the centre of your character is whilst running or play another race? (i have little sympathy for any max/large size norn/charr complaining about JPs)
jaguar and raven, crits all around, jaguar stealth is amazing (expecially when combined with traits like carnivourous appetite and pets prowess) and i love ravens high damage + blind f2
I assume we’ll see branded weapons when Kralkatoric <sp> is higher on the to-do list.
Then again, you KNOW they’ll take Charged Lodestones to craft, and I wouldn’t wish that on anybody.
stairs exploit? i run AC exp often and dont think ive ever encountered a stairs exploit (unless you mean running up the ramp/into the cove thing after skipping the breeders to reset aggro?)
i have encountered teams that insist on exploits though (cough -cm- cough) which is stupidly annoying

- Sure, why not put in an LFG system? After all, if you’re going to join a PUG anyway, being put into one that is automatically assembled won’t matter. And hey, it might even be good, as right now you see plenty of people asking for specific professions into their runs.
why do people always assume LFG systems HAVE to automatically assemble a team? it could be implemented in a number of ways
I’d just like pets to see through stealth with 20 BM traits spent.
^ this would be nice; so your pet would still attack a stealthed player (but since you cant lock onto them with a bow/axe you still need to go an whack away with a sword)

i dont mind the odd fight in the JP (though i use a ‘neutral till attacked’… philosophy(?)) but loathe it when servers/guilds camp it (i can get past the arena whilst stealthed -just, but they normally spam random aoes/arrowcarts)
though some servers seem to camp it more often… like baruch bay; every day i went in there whilst matched with them they were camping it; i started CCing any baruch player i saw off of platforms after a few days
… i woulndt like to see it removed totally; but seige should definitely not be allowed and maybe something to deter people from fighting (or remove the chance for BoHs to drop from dead players in the jumping puzzle)
i wouldnt like to see mounts/add ons, but i do agree that a LFG tool is needed.
zhaitans reach (im not sure about other scepters; but could apply to them as well) seems to have a really odd ‘holster’ location on sylvari (the scepter hand is on the same level as the characters hand)

its my favourite scepter for necro (as it fits ‘the crossing’ – which is my alternate weapon – well and whilst running it looks like hes repeatedly poking himself in the eye with the scepter hand) but it looks odd… and as was pointed out to me; slightly innappropriate
could you move its holster location or something?
i normally find the vines easy, i only do TA on my ranger/warr, my ranger stays at 1500+range (keeping a close eye on my pet) and warr goes melee; neither have any trouble
i prefer nuking the greater vine as soon as it appears than killing the adds as they spawn
though i HATE the knights… so much; leurent is ridiculous; i darent get near a knight (of which he has three with him) but hes so weak in comparison
none of the legendaries that you mentioned fit the typical necromancer
imo, artificer,tailor or jeweller would fit your needs most (although dagger is weaponsmith, and necro can use warhorn which is huntsman), it doesnt matter if you pick the wrong two for your necro though, as you can just have a different character as whatever you dont have
dagger+?/axe+?
would probably be best, axe would mean you can build up life force whilst at range (as well as stacking vuln (which – if taking DS traits; your DS auto attack also grants)
i had a play around in the mists with a ds build (just on the dummies; not in actual play)… 30 spite/10 curses/30 soul reaping (maybe 5 points more in curses for fury)
… wasnt… too bad
4 bleeds and fear; that looks like terror damage on the screenshot; what feared you? and did they start running back as soon as you were feared?

if a mesmer has some stacks of confusion,burning,bleeding and vulnerability on an enemy; then a necro uses epidemic… do the replicated conditions(on nearby enemies) go to the mesmer or necro (in terms of ‘tagging’ enemies)? and which players condition damage/duration stats are they calculated from?
just lazy players.

i was trying to get full rabid on my mesmer (was on my mesmer at the time – so i couldve easily gotten the team past the room where most seem to hiccup) when the team insisted we go over the top; its not fun, its boring and full of broken geometry/missing collision meshes
honestly; i have no problem with them, im not in a rush to get a legendary, but i have a stack of 20 in my bank that im occasionally adding to for when i do finally go after one, the legendary nightmare (again;imo) is the precursor/lodestone stuff

orr would be fine imo if there were enough players to keep the wps uncontested (half the time i go to the first are (i cant even remember what its called) all the WPs across the river/ocean from fort trinity are contested
permanent underflow in any orr zone would fix this imo -except maybe cursed shore; as theres normally loads there; but all farming one chain and ignoring everything else; woo

i was curious; im currently working out a new build for my (wvw) necro (but cant access gw2 atm), if (for example) mark of blood hits 5 people; could i immediately follow up with epidemic on one of them to give the other four 6 stacks of bleeding instead of 3?
Traited staff should get you plenty of bags. Works for me anyway.

i hate it because to get the two staff traits i have to get two traits obviously designed for minion masters, they spawn next to me (im normally away from enemies) and i cant spawn more than one at once
(it would be awesome if you could bunch a group of enemies together and kill them with epidemic/marks and EACH kill spawned a minion ON the corpse it spawned from – or move it to a major trait and replace the minor with something every build could benefit from; like swapping reanimator for shrouded removal and protection of the horde for spiteful vigor/death shiver)

I know in AC there have been changes to some mobs. Scavengers for example will continue to use their knockdown/bite (which does massive damage) even after you’ve gone down.
They’ve always been doing it.
it used to be just a simple knockdown on initial hit… it seemed like it was changed at some point so that if you dont immediately dodge after using a stunbreaker they knock you down again (or if another team member walks in front of them whilst they’re chomping) – knockdown each hit
i would like to see more playable races/classes (or second tier classes)
though im expecting to see different races lead the charge against different elder dragons (sylvari got zhaitan, im expecting to see a charr hero step up for kraltorik and asura for primordius)
I’d really like to see a hood headpiece that I could use on my ranger. I don’t want the mask that comes with the Whispers Mask, and there’s no way to get the skin of the Anonymity Hood. Not just for thieves; there needs to be a generic medium armor hood as well.
you can create a new thief and use some transmutation magickery to get it the skin on account bound item (i know it works for order armours -as ive done it with the vigil HAheadgear; since ive seen guardians with the helm and pauldrons and engi with the thief hood; im fairly sure it works for starting gears too)
also; the CoE armour headgear is also hood-like
the helm is kinda nice; but the rest looks worse than t2 imo
i like the mini pet renting idea… but maybe have the minis rotate every so often (so the whole selection isnt available at once) so perm versions arent trivialised
i have a theory that the only reason Zojja is so relentless about persuing Kudu is because she actually secretly has the hots for him and hates herself for it :P

i run a durable mace/shield+longbow banner warrior, it is awesome… (although ive given up trying to CC some bosses – AC for example; interrupting HK or CR in the middle of a scream/scream wind up sometimes causes them to pull of double screams – i have gotten into the habit of just tanking them in the corner, so their screams are facing away from my team and i can just shield stance them, or kholer because interrupting during his wind up makes him instantly send out the scorpion wires, im not sure whether im interrupting them at the wrong time or whether its just… bad) and im dissappointed that you did not mention the weakness on the third attack on mace chain (which is very helpful to your party; and if combined with a hammer guardian means a lot of damage reduction in melee range) and shield stance/counterblow is a god send against bosses (if the enemy isnt too obstructed by norn/effects for me to see wind ups), so its nice to see mace/banner regen get some attention, it seems terribly underrated (i have only seen 2 banner regeners and no mace warriors), but dislike the rest of the guide.

agreed, i hate all the cultural LA headpieces, and the TA one is… ‘meh’, would love to see a leafy hood for t3 cultural
my favourite is probably ‘ofcourse we made it; i knew the way’ when completing dungeons
Your Norn arguement is invalid.
As I said, I am sure not all norn are born with fur on their chest and huge proportions. Go to Hoelbrak and look at one of their kids, they are as tiny as human kids and I doubt the prissy little blonds would grow up to anything like those apes with the small heads.
Also: Most grown norn npcs don’t look like overgrown apes either.
norn children are bigger than human children afaik, and thats not saying adolescence wouldnt affect them differently (although im hardly a lore expert)
i dont see why norn would bother shaving (considering the cold)
and i dont see the difference between player made and NPC norn?

Dodging the argument and going for personal attacks, how very cliche. Fortunately you don’t get to decide what’s minor and what isn’t for those that are bothered by the change. And that’s exactly what it comes down to, it’s a CHANGE.
I’m not sitting here complaining about TA’s heavy not being revealing enough, I’m upset that an already implemented design was changed to satisfy some whiners. In the end all I’m doing is whining too, but apparently that’s enough to get graphical changes to armor.
i misread the OP; i thought it stated that it was minor not that others may think its minor – i had a migrane when i read it
but yeh; i do think its minor; its still unsuitably ‘skimpy’ imo, but atleast it was a step in the right direction

male/female charr are quite distinctive
though i would like to see more options for sylvari… the only two interesting ’hair’styles for males are the mushroom (which is awesome) and the tree one, the rest are all depressingly similar

Ok looks like this answers most of my questions, mainly do AC and then TA when unlocked, only thing I’m left wondering is if anyone could confirm if you still get the same amount of experience on repeated paths.
i think you do… i know i did all AC paths three times yesterday on my warr (a few hours apart) and i seemed to ding the same amount of times (but i wasnt really paying much attention – so could be mis-remembering), i believe only tokens have a ‘daily’ bonus (dr sucks though; its best to keep runs an hour or two apart to avoid it-depending on how fast your group can run the dungeon)
I hate people like you op. If you want to run the dungeon, start a kittening group. I will be bored sometimes in LA and see a LFG and I decid sure I will run that place.

PLEASE read the thread; im not too lazy to start a group -_-, i often end up starting groups because people whisper ‘invite me’ when im ‘LFG’ (meaning im on my own – and they could just invite me for much less effort instead of passing the baton to me)
the whole point of this thread was so that people would understand LFG = singular, dont whisper them to ‘invite you’, invite them
LFM = 2+ (or one; whos being crafty xD) whisper them to ‘invite me’, or even better (unless stated otherwise) /join them

i think you’re all getting confused by me stating that i hate starting groups, this is true, but that doesnt mean i outright refuse to do it, i hate going out of my room (i hate being in the same room as people -including my family, except my dog) that doesnt mean i stay here all day; as then id never get anything done

redid AC story on my lvl 40 mesmer a week or two ago, it was easy (despite having two dungeon newbies) with only one 80 in the group (everyone else was <50)
the lovers are easy if you keep them apart (it even says that they’re stronger when they’re together) one/two people can easily keep one locked down using the boulders found in the room, if you had trouble with them then you probably didnt?
also; glass cannons are especially difficult to play in dungeons, ive noticed a lot of overworld PVE/wvw players go glass cannon, own everything then come to dungeons and get destroyed, just in case you were… you probably shouldnt
honestly; dungeons are easy (i havent done coe p3 any cof or any arah though) as long as you can work out the mechanics of each boss, you arent glass cannon, are apt at playing your classes (other team mates classes too; knowing thats a well of blindness and staying in it, instead of kiting out of it, or that healing rain cures conditions -so you dont blow your cond removal) and are appropriately geared/traited/utilities
