was queueing up for Borlis Bordlerands in wvw After reset and switched to my necro, and soo nafter got kicked saying i accessed the game from another account. i quickly logged in HERE on the forums and changed passwords, contacted support letting them know what happened and then checked out Security in the forums account. only My IP was logged and seeing this was wondering if it happened to be a bugged code pop up when i just probably lag logged out. Could someone have switched to my IP? was i hacked you think or just an error?

bring bar brawling into the game already. during this upcoming patch would be a great time to do so especially with the new AP reward system. coming out with all of this new stuff when a bit of the things intended on being in the game earlier BEFORE living story is kinda like “jumping on the horse without a horse”.

Also lower the requirements for Keg Tossing Title – its ridiculous enough as is when hardly any players pop in(at least in my world) to help you out…at most ive seen maybe 3 people hop in.

i bought 5 rich ones and my gems disappeared showing i bought them, and my inbox isnt full, so where are my rich coffers? i posted on facebook for the fix as well, i spent REAL money on getting the gems, im left with 97 gems now…not 597, STILL DO NOT have my coffers.

when interacting with either of these pretty close to another player who is already interacting with them, the launchers interact option/pinata interact option dissapears preventing you from getting the interaction.

Id like to see the beta events that happened to come back as permanent random WORLD EVENTS much like the Favored “branded” event when everyone was converted to branded that died in the map(not everywhere, just in the area) that got to KILL other players(if they could) and convert them to branded. the Legends Eir Stigalkin were in the areas too! i would LOVE to see this.

The latest case of “farming nerfs” was actually a bug fix. I’m aware of this because I was asked to help identify the issue. The area in question contained a spawn that was defined to have more creatures than spots for those creatures to spawn. So for example, 25 skelks spawning on 10 points. This is not intended. Not only does it just look absurd, it’s also leads to some extremely bizarre play conditions. This is one of those bugs that’s so buggy, the fact that our toolset even allowed this to happen is a bug. Another bug caused this bug. Bugception.

If we didn’t want players to be able to farm, we wouldn’t have put in the huge (and free) magic and gold find buffs for Southsun Cove. We wouldn’t drop loot from the giant mobs of creatures that appear in upscaled events. We certainly wouldn’t have put in chests that appear after events which cycle every 8 to 10 minutes. How quickly all of that content goes completely forgotten in the angered responses to a simple change to an area that was clearly bugged. :/

On farming in general, there’s a sweet spot that combines good loot with fun, engaging content. I think Southsun had that going for it, especially before certain aspects of the content were isolated as optimal. As someone who’s actively working on upcoming Living World releases, I’m aiming to find that sweet spot and hit it in a big way.

ANet, realize that many players will INEVITABLY — and as a bioinformatician who breathes probability and uncertainty, I do not use this word lightly — take the path of least resistance to fulfill their goals. And surprise! Many (read: most) players care about and aim for cosmetic progression. I don’t need to justify this. I will be the first to say that GW2 PvE is heavy on skill progression, but excluding WvW/PvP, there is definitely a cap on that. Once you’ve soloed GL and hit the kitten wall at FOTM 50 (WWWWWHHHHYYYYY???), there’s not much else that non-WvW PvE offers for its hardcore crowd.

So there will likely be a point where players decide to get nice-looking gear for their characters. There were originally many options for making money. Orr was crowded, and many people gathered around to complete dynamic events together. Between events, people would joke around, socialize, and the community would slowly get built together as events scaled horribly and provided fun challenges for the large zergs. Then came the balance patches — I’ll spare the nostalgia of the old Plinx and penitent/shelter days. Each time, there were fewer and fewer people in Orr, and more and more LFG posts for CoF.

Players adapted, and found the next-best spot. ANet quickly countered, and the cycle repeated. Soon, Orr was relatively dead, much like its original inhabitants. It’s quite ironic. ANet tries to add incentives to get players back into the beautiful world they’ve designed, and at the same time uses negative reinforcement to keep them out of it. Again — players will ALWAYS take the least path of resistance to fulfill their goals, and if you remove it, they will find another. It will not be as optimal, but players will do it. Yet CoF1 never devalues (asides from inflation). Hence, players will continue heading to CoF1, and fewer will actually play the other 99% of content.

Are you joking? I ALWAYS take 30 in shadow arts to maximize my stealth and seeing a 10K+ back stab is nothing special for me. You just don’t know how to build a thief.

you dont understand …READ my post = YOU DONT DO ENOUGH DAMAGE IN STEALTH…. at most, you can caltrops/choking gas someone. still not enough damage…
if you deal damage in stealth, you break stealth…clearly you dont know thieves OR how to read.

Frustrating enough that some people join an spvp tournement and just sit there AWAY from keyboard. can we do something about leechers?

can we also make it a fair matchup much like WvW? or random not just based on first 2 people that join. we usually get paired with r34 people with our team consisting of level 10’s….some JUST decided to join an spvp match first time character creation and ruin it for the rest of us.

Status: Legendary Hammer
Name: Balthazar’s Pendulum
Description: “Balthazar bless my strength, teach my hands to war, and my fingers to fight,”
Design: – I wanted to make a new approach on 2 handed weapons such as the hammer, so far I’m still installing Photoshop, so it’ll take time, for now well have to deal with the paint demonstration. I wanted to take on the Hammer first being the first thing coming to mind by making it 2 handed with the appearance of a one handed weapon. First though coming to mind was Chains…and a hammer with chains…Meteor hammer came to mind then of course the inspiration of Balthazar’s Pendulum . Pendulum referring to upright position and balance, Inertia and force…which ALSO made me turn to the hammer even more. Add a stainless steal appearance with Black Rubber Bands around in the areas and some shading….cake. (Reflective appearance much like the armor of juggernauts appearance on the entire (except with the Rubber Bands) hammer and chain.)

Concept: The basic idea of this weapon was to utilize the animation of slowly swinging the pendulum while holding in the other hand the hammer. Attacks deal the same damage with same speed as a normal legendary hammer, when outward swings take place, the momentum may aid the hammer much like an extended weighted hammer knob on the end of the hammer.

Possibility to add: instead of the player holding the chain, there could be a handle on the top of the Pendulum for the player to hold. When swinging down, player COULD use the pendulum to hammer…the err.. hammer, using the pendulum as the hammer and further hammering the opponent with the added weight. (THIS IS SOMETHING TO THINK ON)
-Have the chain inside the pendulum so the hammer and pendulum are connected until a WIDE swing is used.

Effects: Lovely effects time…
-Fiery aura surrounds the player when unsheathed(who unsheathes a hammer?)
-Taking steps puts cracks under the players feet and every downward slam on an enemy allows a crater to appear, much like a decal.
-Outline of the raised design on the pendulum glow red with a pulsating effect.
-Holding the weapon you always slowly spin your pendulum on the chain.

Tribunal/Report Rewards

Idea Anyone Reporting a player of a violation without spamming it, gets rewarded if the player is punished. OR introduce a Tribunal much like League of Legends.

- Community looks out for the game this way
- Players make money/get rewarded based on severity of the issue
- Players learn what not to do
- Reporters are reviewed when reporting someone so there is a definite log that can be linked to reward players that reported
- Keeps the game mostly clean for exploiters/botters
- Violators Beware, you have a bounty on your head

Players were exploiting it by deleting and remaking characters, so we made it based on your entire account.

Edit:
Due to the reward being so high, and the upscaling for the living world, this was seen as being bad.

My curiosity’s too high to remain silent anymore:
It’s implicit now that you have a certain limit to the amount of gold per hour we can collect by playing Guild Wars 2.
Shelter/Penitent camp was overhauled =>less gold per hour
Ascalon Catacombs was overhauled =>less gold per hour
Citadel of Flame Path 1 is yet to be overhauled => 7-10g/h
Southsun Cove via this month’s event overpopulation + settler buff => MF gear users have viable alternative to CoF P1.
With Super Adv Box we could do the same as this yet it never got a 1 per day per account hotfix (BB were account bound granted).
World Bosses / Guesting was overhauled => less gold per hour

So this leads me to the following question, which price tag (gold wise) do you give to karma? Solo farming Canach wasn’t on par with CoF P1 gold-wise, but for me it was the Karma Keg that was the real target. No where in this game as far as I know we could get this much karma this fast. (5000 karma base -> 9750 fully buffed).

If there’s a limit of gold we can’t transcend per hour (or we get called on exploiting), may we please know it? We play the weaknesses of monsters and bosses and reap rewards I get it, I also get it that some players who rather play the Trading Post game do the same but in that interface. Yet it doesn’t seem that they have any limit of gold/hour.

It’s obvious CoF P1 will get overhauled, suprised it hasn’t happened yet. Maybe I ought to play less the normal game and go to finance/economy courses so I can play the TP game.

i agree- i completely frigging agree- they limit us and prevent us from reaching small goals. if we want to grind a farm/kill enemies ALL DAY, its OUR CHOICE. they made the game so we can play the way we want and feel good about it. when a “botter” comes along they say they had to NERF the farm when all they have to do is BAN the guy botting…not ruin it for everyone else doing the FARM legitimately.

ok – so if you guys have to keep editing, repatching etc becasue “people are making too much money”…whats that say? there are a huge amount of players that want to make a good amount of money FAST with some effort, if they make it past a specific boss they should be rewarded sometimes instead of RNG throwing random crap(mostly blues and greens/even whites). it says players WANT money…and since every angle you throw at them they find a way to make that money i think it should be given an option to make that money anyway. people were amking great moeny and everything was stable early game by offering crafting services, now its just an economy fight over who can slightly overprice what material NEEDED to make something and make a quick buck- economy wise its not group friendly as everyones more than likely trying to get gems for a nice item that’s cosmetic or slightly pve usable, but when someones about to get said items from a nifty farm that does actual group play, either Diminishing Returns kicks in/ you think its OP/too many bots are involved so instead of banning the bots/allowing them to farm the crap outta it with mindless whack-a-mole, you nerf the farm and say its justified…because there were botters taking advantage of it…which brings another point:

Botters = are on this game and even other games when you cannot hold interest of a player so he / she wants to play it for the FUN factor, Grinding crafting disciplines because it looks promising with money capabilities is nothing when people just fluctuate the gem market anyway/Powertrade with TP…its a Trading Post WAR….nothing else. Let alone it doesnt really FEEL like GUILD WARS without a kitten Guild Hall. everyones out for themselves in the end…no ones going to spare you mats when they can get a quick buck. and the ONLY quick buck is getting lucky with RNG and quickly selling it on the TP 1 copper less than the poor dude above you. Making money is not really possible in this game in a fast aspect, cept CoF p1 runs. there needs to be more money making and less grind-casual play. Rid yourself of RNG and make EFFORT be rewarded more…MORE

I don’t know if this is at all what you were going for, but after reading I was inspired to do a quick concept of what was in my mind. I’m looking forward to seeing what you had in your mind as well.

yes, blade and textured .. however the Guard isn’t connected at the bottom of the hilt, and has 3 curved points like that. take as an example: take your middle finger(bird finger) and place it on your other Balled up fist where your knocking knuckles are and your punch knuckles, in between those 2 types of knuckles, your index finger on top of your hand behind your punch knuckles… and your thumb on top of the other thumbs first knuckle…that’s what I’m getting at but a little separated from the hand.

I’m having a friend’s friend who’s a designer in animation throw this together as well, with render and animation

now ill dissagree in mixing titans with murssat cause in the lore the murssat slealed the door to the relm of the torment

I Love it I had thought of the idea for the footsteps much like the Halloween skin in League of Legends for Nocturne for his Trail Skill…. however it may be too much for some…souls were forever trapped if I’m not mistaken.

Audio…thats what ive NEVER heard of nor thought of with footsteps.

i never said im mixing Titans with Mursaat, i was only using the Titans Leg design as a guard, nothing actually Titan looking.

Design: – Still Working on it…will update with pic when finished drawing.
Basic Look I’m going For: the blades texture would probably look like this depending on the popularity Blade Texture if not that then the bloodstone color of Guild Wars located in the Bloodstone Caves.LINK

Blade: I’m still iffy on this, It’s a fight between the hovering “bits” like the Mursaat Weapons
or a jagged-ish(It flew from my fingers didn’t it?) blade like the good ole’ Oni Blade from Guild Wars, but slightly longer and thinner.

Kills Each kill would put a specific symbol based on the Bloodstone in Guild Wars see link on the blade up to a specific point to where all symbols are shown vertically on both sides. Along with this streaming white mists start emanating by the more kills you get that weave in and out of the blade until it gets to the tip of the blade from the hilt- symbolizing souls you have “trapped”.

Now as far as ingredients go for crafting…Bloodstone Shards are a BIG thing…not something like 250 Bloodstone Shards, but maybe a considerable amount…a stack would kill all of us…

farmers benefitted.
Experience gained if not MORE from the endless mobs for experience…virtually a powerlevel.=benifitted
they wanted Karma armor? NAW….guest on a server that has the temple uncontested…or on one that dont care for farming.

completing an event is one thing, but when several people ran in and uncontested just THAT ONE area and claimed they were doing the event…it wasnt always true, some trolled. so it can go both ways.

it was not exploiting, it was never completing it. the game mechanics were functioning as made.

a TRUE exploit is saying “i clicked BUY NOW on a legendary and it appeared in my inventory when i had no money and i clicked again and another appeared and the person(s) never got payment but lost their item.”
THIS IS AN EXPLOIT EXAMPLE.

farming an enemy for a drop is not exploiting.

the thing is that Arenanet fails to realize, that no matter what, someones going to make a bot that needs a nerf…or a ban, everygame, everywhere, every possible exploit theyll be there automating it. instead of punishing everyone for it just simply find a way to hi the bots themselves rather than punishing the players doing something legitimately. like how they did in Guild Wars 1…that MASSIVE bot ban…do it here. nerfing a farm wont stop the bot, the person running the program will simply play the game normally then and set aside the program until he/she finds something else that the bot will run…its not preventing them from botting, its just messing the farm up that wont let the bot work THERE- in turn messing up the farm/fun or whatever else for the other players. BAN the accounts/dont nerf the farm because there are bots.

like saying: Grease the bird feeder pole to prevent squirrels from climbing and eating the birdseed when all you need is a friggin Pellet/BB gun instead…

or taking antibiotics to remove a wart instead of freezing the kitten thing off and moving on INSTEAD of whining about “oh i forgot to take the meds!”

they are going about it all wrong

it gets past aegis as aegis doesnt successfully block the larcenous attack, thus u CAN rip it and use it, though however LONG it lasts, its still going to block ONLY one attack.

no screenshot but got around 10 minutes of Stability off the ancient Karka.

thing about this is, peopel fuss at each other for ruinging a farm when god moeny is hard to come by THAT fast, if we had a way to fight for money instead of running around hitting mobs that stand still unless you aggro them…instead of hoarding mats that hardly drop because of the FAIL RNG…and leveling up crafting disciplines when hardly anyone buys the kitten things because of ascended gear….this is what it comes down to…its not an exploit it was merely too easy to make money…which did NOT hurt the economy…simply dont buy from TP and farm/make ur mats/money some other way. IMO not allowing people to farm like they used to in GW1 ruined the game, it stretches you to do different things then Diminishing returns kicks in, which it shouldnt for everyone, but only dungeons or such, hell not even in dungeons, remove the DNG anyway. a bot is always going to be in a game regardless of what you do just as there are fleas on a dog there will be exploiters in games just to show off. Guild Wars 2 was about playing your way and feeling good about it, not being kept on a antimakemoney/have fun leash on our said dog.

well, only way to deal with it then is to grit our teeth and accept it/ stop playing the game and develop one that would woop Guild Wars 2’s kitten #8230;i do not see that happening for a long while. i mean dont get me wrong still a great game, but as it matures they should learn from these posts…not ignore them unless they want all suggestions for them to make MORE money/improvements will just STOP pouring in. our input makes them money if you think about the ideas that ARE USED from our posts, if they don’t take advice eventually theyll have to come up with it themselves..

game is still maturing, it JUST got done with splits for pve and pvp so that definatly says they are still tidying up.

saying one thing needs fixed first is like talking to a brick wall.
and saying they would be better off fixing RNG is like a child telling an adult that they will not get presents from santa….

Inscriptions were a thing in the game Guild Wars 1.
they would alter the effect of the item if it had a specific item slot.

Face it, we all know we don’t want to take a chance in transmuting our legendary and have the development team in Anet upgrade Legendary to surpass ascended/exotic gear…oh wait! you transmuted it so technically it has exotic stats and the newly created ones have slightly higher damage and just Purple Letters!….THIS is where it comes in.

My idea is to sell these in the Gem Store/offer them in daily’s for the usage of changing the somewhat undesired NON DAMAGE stats of Legendaries ONLY, eliminating the need to transmute for a legendary with say, Berserker stats and damage based on an exotic with the appealing stats…

Example:

Incinerator
Strength: 924 – 981
+90 Power
+64 Toughness
+64 Vitality

Slap on a “Berserker Inscription” get

Incinerator
Strength: 924 – 981
+90 Power
+64 Precision
+5% Critical Damage

without transmuting and risking the update blocking your ability to accept the change…

Inscriptions can come in all Triple Stats attributed with the Prefix. (Berserker, Sentinel, Knight ETC.)

-no need to switch to an exotic with the stats you need
-overwrites previous inscription
-Could be given a FREE inscription in mail on creation of a legendary in mystic forge
- style AND usefulness

dont know what is going on, last night i was able to get in and play normally, logged in this morning and i get skill lag…and lag…and FPS lag. i play in minimized window mode (size of dollar bill) and its still happening yet my internet browser is fine, my ISP says my speed is fine and they arent throttling me(that is they wont let you know they are doing it) but i cant do anything today, its also in LA…not just southsun. i read on the updates that the last patch had some latency fix ideas implemented…yet it seems to be doing more harm than good. im not the only one having the problem. a few of my guild mates are also having the same problems as well. can we please fix this issue before the content changes?

If Flanking Strike is blocked, it STILL goes to Larcenous- i find this a little overwhelming. Its a Chain Skill, makes sense in all fairness, if BLOCKED it should not go to Larcenous…also if swung in the air and misses it still goes to Larcenous.

As a thief…this is juicy to not let anyone know, but i like fair…and this isnt.

Having the ability to be caught off guard in specific areas is one thing I personally crave, and may yet see it coming soon. This all depends on the responses from the dev team/event coordinators and of course…the community.

Imagine being in say, a level 75-80 area farming/ doing an event…as soon as you complete it, your opt to find yourself swallowed up by maybe a humongous beast….possibly a long forgotten, overfed Frostmaw Offspring…10 times the size of the mother… forced to jump and slide down its bowels until you come across something it ate to blow yourself out or be digested….horribly…

Not only could this happen but I’m sure this could be approached differently on how to enter/when it happens. Some may not agree on being snatched out of an area forcefully, but maybe a spawn time for a portal(effect of wurm eating you) that’s completely unpredictable but fair as if you are just roaming around….the world is a cruel place.

Any ideas to improve this could help!
