You want to know why Thieves probably may not got a nerf?
They’ve already Nerfed us to the GROUND, There’s nothing left to nerf or change, but tooltip fixes and graphical animation fixes.
Thief right now is in a good state.
Although I too must say the evasion meta is annoying, which is why I play burst, but hey, That’s Daredevils elite specialization, without evasion DD would literally be worse than Necro.
What they need to do is:
Speed up velocity for Impairing daggers similar to DH Spear of justice
Increase bandit defense 3s (maybe)
Increase velocity shortbow #1,
Fix Vault, similar to Boundful Dodger make it proc’ damage in the air. Too many times you’ll be on a higher landscape than your target like an inch or 2 higher, you vault and it misses.
Make Kleptomaniac innate (Passive 3 initiative) will open more build diversity
Give DD more utility underwater
Give a Dodge underwater split (Let us have the freedom to unhindering dodge underwater and Bound on land
Fix spear 4 already and it’s self stun (Or put it in the tooltip that it’s supposed to self stun)
Fix Jump Staff 3
Give Thieves more unblockable attacks (to handle DH’s easier roaming around in WvW or playing in PvP)
Get rid of Traps, because they’re uselessI’m not asking for much, mere fixes and slight buff’s
What I don’t understand is:
Why they gave us 2 bassi venom procs then took it away
Why they stripped us of Might gain and gave it to Revenant
Why we have no way of innately generating protection
Why Shadow Rejuvenation’s damage reduction got nerfed to 25%
Why P/P Richochet was even removed
Why Long Reach (Old thief trait 1500 range steal) was removed
Why They fixed that Fury trait, maybe some of us wanted 3mins of fury (Okay i understand that one lol, but really who uses CS line in WvW/PvP anymore.
Why they altered S/X mobility
Why they nerfed and destroyed Shadow Trap
Why we have the worse weapon range in game
Why you even touched Leeching Venoms trait
Why Mug can’t crit?! (Okay i understand this one kitten)
Why CS line is dead, outside of optimal damaged thief for PvE
And why you even made that trait change system in general, so we can’t mix and matchThe world will never know!
Where to start?
The last thing this game needs is more unblockable skills. Blocks are already absolute garbage as they are since; Marks are unblockable. Every warrior runs Signet of Might, Revenant staff 5 are unblockable post porting, Spear of Justice is unblockable, Gale is unblockable Basi Venom already gives you an unblockable opening + PI proc. Smokescale KD is unblockable.
If thieves were given protection, they would literally never die.
Steal range decrease was nerfed due to the 3k+ range opening, Old pistol 5 heart seeker shadowstep + steal (even infiltrators signet if u wanted to go even further.)
“Why you have the worst range in the game”, you dont. Revenants do. Shortbow is so much more utility than hammer.
Three more baseline initiative is a HUGE increase and would result in thieves being able to spam SO much more.
They reduced Basilisk Venom to only hold 1 charge becuase back then it didn’t give you unblockable, + now you even have baseline venom share.
Only change Thieves really need at this time IMO is an ICD on PI procs. OR having it NOT proc on auto attacks. Have a 5 second ICD on PI application and the class is fine.
and ofc fix the “No valid path to target” bugs roaming in Khylo and Skyhammer.
Dungeons are actually more profitable now than before the nerf. Due to the powercreep and how fast you run them, and due to the amount of tokens you get, 300 instead of 180.

Whenever Rigom gets into range of Guldhem, or vice versa Rigom gets 10k max health per tick making it slower and slower to actually kill him. Just have mesmers pull Rigom away and let rangers perma perma entangle. We completed the phase in about 1.5 minutes with 2 condi rangers, 2 condi druids 1 condi PS + engi.

Yeah, I’ve been playing around with a few variation. PoB being one of them. Issue is, you’re sacrifising ALOT by bringing PoB making you unable to engage any 1v1.
I’ve tried switching into the S/Sh Sw/f symbolic and had some success running menders to be able to perma bunker points vs druids / scrappers. This build also works fine for teamfights.
But to be fair, I find little to no counterplay to druids / engis stealth ressing.
One solution I can think of is broaden the amount of Reveal currently in the game. But that’s going to hurt thieves and mesmers more than it’s gonna hurt druids and engis.
One other solution is having engis channeling stop whenever Elixir S pops at 25%. (The passive Elixir, not the actual utility. If you’re for some reason still running core condi engi.)
Im currently rank 120 something on the EU leaderboards bouncing between Legendary and Platinum t3. I’m mainly playing DH.
How do you guys deal with teams stacking Scrappers and Druids? I know they are the direct counters and whatnot but that’s not the issue.
The issue I face is the immense amount of ressing potential these classes have, especially invisible power ressing with stealth blasting, CA traits and sneak gyro.
How do you deal with this?

It favors thieves and druids too much due to its gigantic size.
Say what you will about the actual map layout / mechanics. They’re both fine.
The actual playable map is so buggy its not even fun. Everything from not finding a valid path to target 3 feet infront of your model to having to walk on pads 4 times in order for you to leap up.
Or for you to get pushed / pulled ontop of pads and nuked mid-air when you can’t even dodge.
What they need to change in order to make this map competetive is fixing the bugs where you can’t port at 80% of the spots aswell as making pads interactable AND adding a ~5ish second cd on using them so you can’t keep abusing them to kite meele builds.
Can we make the jumping pads on skyhammer interactable? As in, you have to press “F” in order to use them. So that you don’t accidentally run on them using Rush, Head Butt, DH F2 over them, druid sword 2 into them, Druid staff 3 onto them. Or you know, ANY of the other abilities that grants any kind of mobility.
I can’t even count how many times I’ve cancelled Renewed Focus casts because I’ve accidentally ran into these things.

There is nothing wrong with warr at all. It has awful mobility, it’s burst is extremely easy to dodge (skull grinder, pin down, all its cc and even axe f1 if they are running power should all be dodged 100% of the time) and if you don’t have cooldowns to dodge/block the burst, then it is easy to kite on most classes. You can even stay on point while kiting mace attacks if you are careful with your positioning.
Of course, if you get hit by headbutt with no stun breaks, you are almost certainly gonna lose the 1v1, but that is YOUR fault, not the fault of the balance team.
Okay, I have too. Most warriors nowadays run Power, GS/Mace-Shield.
I do agree that Skull Grinder should be dodged most of the times if you’re a decent player.
Arc Divider on the other hand is an instant 900 radius aoe cleave that hits just about as hard as Decapitate. Dodging that is pretty difficult.
The thing about warriors is that they have too many “Key-spells” that basicly has to be dodged. Headbutt, Arc Divider, Skull Grinder, Shield Slam → Hundred Blades and even Rush at times.
The issue is that blind is a non-factor when fighting a warrior due to the high resistance uptime.
This leaves you with 2 options, either try and dodge every skill (Cause blocks are also irrelevant due to Signet of Might) or kite off point during berserk mode.
This gives the warrior either a decapped node or a fullcap, meaning you’re currently losing your 1v1, even if you’re not techically losing it.
What makes this class even more frustrating to play against is the insane recovery potential it has. Adrenal Health, Defy Pain, the 25% health when dying trait, whatever that is called. Couple this with double blocks and evade frames you can see why people absolutly hate playing against it.

IMO guardians aren’t necessarily OP but they do have a certain appeal for solo queueing. They only have 1 real counter (druid)
This is plain out wrong. DH’s gets absolutly destroyed by Scrappers aswell as eles. Even revs stand a pretty good chance vs DH’s.
Can we decrease the amount of time needed for a leaver to actually you know, count as a leaver.
As of right now. If a player in your team is disconnected for 2 minutes or more, your team does not lose rating. Unless you’re queing with the leaver (I think).
Can we decrease this to ~1 minute? Most, if not all games on a somewhat mediocre skill level is over if you’re playing 4v5 for a minute and it’s extremly hard to come back from.
I don’t know if there are server issues going on right now or if I’m just extremly unlucky. But 5/6 games have been 4v5 and I’ve tanked ~100 rating because of it.

Sure, but fix the ridiculous projectile denial that eles have so that guardians have some sort of damage output. I mean, the sword auto not being projectile based is really a step in the right direction. However ..
To unlock vol. ll you need to craft whatever the experimental version of the legend is. Should be found under “Legendary compontents” by the artificer. That should award you the collection Bifrost ll.

3. Poison trails damage can not be negated by any means. I main warrior, i run endure pain, i still die, its still painful. This just makes no sense in light of every other instability having the opportunity to have its damage negated, evaded, etc.
Who runs Endure Pain, wtf? Just have a druid / Mesmer heal up the minimal dmg you do take from Poison Trails post nerf.
Bonus 2: The absurdity of T4 Cliffside is just mean. Please revisit this fractal and make some more needed adjustments.

T4 Cliffside is probably easier now than ever before. Just pull / blind and you’ll be alright. At arm seals 1 necro can hold 1 side indefinetly while the team rotates. (With or without portal)
Thing is, Tempests are still the kings of DPS. Not by my though which is why people grab guards / thieves for the additional utility.
Personally, a good tempest is better to have than a good thief. But an avarage thief / guard is better then an avarage Tempest.
The only change I would make to this fractal is to get rid of the god kitten ed light underneath him.
Me aswell as many of the oldschool dungeoneers just don’t bother with pugs. We’d rather just duo / trio than messing up with pugs not pathing mobs, pulling stuff they dont have to. (AC p1 pulling gravelings to hodgins for example).
So theres alot of people that activly runs dungeons, we just use the friendlist instead of the LFG.

Are you really sure about that? Both damage dealing instabilities seem to screw over any party that isn’t the fractal meta of druid+4 necros.
It’s a lot of damage dealing with the agony ticks and increased enemy damage output when they’re low health, seeing as you have no option to spread out to avoid the agony ticks.This is a little silly.
I mean, if you facetank any mobs above fractal lvl 25 you’re gonna have a bad time. Sandstorms / reflects / stuns / pulls are some ways to easily deal with with mobs below the Champion rank.
Its a shame really because there is a lot of really good weapons and armor sets with each dungeon. My suggestion is a Mastery Path that with every level spent lowers the need for another member of the party. Basically just adjust the leveling. So by the end you can solo or duo the dungeons.
or change them from instanced content into meta events and put them on a timer.
You can already solo and duo all paths that does not require X amount of people IE; Arah p1 Tar.
Full berserker’s is not good for WvW from what I’ve heard and many PvE players are geared as glass cannons. To swap out to a useful build would likely be 10+ gold as they would have to replace armor, weapons, and possibly trinkets.
A player making a legendary really shouldn’t be concerned about an extra 10g, should they? If the Gift of Battle were available at a vendor for gold, who of the “I don’t want to WvW for my legendary” crowd would be complaining?
They could withraw 100-200 gold from my account for the Gift of Battle. Like money comes so easy nowadays from raid selling and multi-loot that it aint a big deal anymore.
With the new Mastery system, it isn’t true that you can simply play as you like without consequence to your character. However to stay on-topic, it is true that if you don’t like WvW you can simply go without a Legendary weapon. I am simply questioning the strategy of locking the flashiest item that is probably desired by the most players behind a niche game mode that not everyone wants to play.
The thing is. I can’t play without a legendary item. I’m part of the niche community that is still doing dungeon speedruns and records. Hence I need a legendary weapon. (Until they fix the legendary scaling in dungeons.)
Right now, a legendary weapon in AC deals about 32% more dps than an ascended. In TA its about 10%, which is still more than enough to make a HUGE difference. No, you don’t need a legendary, you want a legendary to abuse a bug. You can play perfectly fine without one. And if ANet ever patches this bug then any speedrun records that abused it would no longer be valid and would no longer apply.
While this is a valid consideration, the bug has been in the game for over seven months currently and in no way has it been adressed. So while I can sit around for another 7 months hoping they do something about it, I might aswell craft myself a legendary to stay somewhat competetive in the meantime, no?

There is a bug currently, and has been for the past 6-7 months where legendary weapons dont downscale properly. If you own one, just go try it out.

3) Eventually get your gift of battleIt’s basically PvE… sadly… that or PvDoor when the enemy is asleep. I still question how you can’t stand WvW. Big fights can take your mind off the actual lengthy wait of the reward track and you’ll be helping your server buddies out, too. Plus bagsssss!
Not necesarilly. I have played plenty pvp both before and after the seasons. I just dont enjoy WvW. The whole concept of it. The big fights are exactly what I dont like. I would enjoy it greatly if people just roamed around engaging in small scale fights. Say 4v4’s 2v2s or even 5v5s. But these 20v20 staff guards stacking to avoid aoe. Yes, you heard me. Stacking to avoid aoe. Is as I phrased it earlier. Mind-numbing.
You only get alternate method for gift of battle if they implement an alternate method to get world completion in wvwvw.
That sounds like a really strange suggestion considering I’m not trying to move the Gift of Battle away from Wvw. I’d rather have multiple ways of obtaining it inside Wvw.
I don’t know, something along the lines of a collection containing. "Capture and hold Stonemist Castle for 30 minutes.
Hold all three Keeps at once.
Reach the highest participation tick.
Capture 10 Camps.
Capture 5 Towers.
Capture 3 Keeps.
Capture Stonemist Castle.

I did in no way propose that that the Gift of Battle should be removed from Wvw, I asked for an alternate way of recieving it, ie; Collection in Wvw, old merchant for Badges (Which are an obsolete currency right now).
So I can get Gift of Astralaria from wvw? That would have saved me a lot of effort and lucking myself into events that rarely occur and have no timer.

It’s fine the way it is. At least you don’t have to do map completion in WvW anymore. I remember waiting weeks for one Vista because my server couldn’t take a keep. Besides if you want a legendary you should have at least a minimal understanding of the game as a whole(even though it excludes pvp)
Has nothing to do with having an understanding of the game. Its about grinding gamemodes only a niche of the population plays activly to begin with. Having it sold by a merchant for a wvw only currency as it used to I had no issue with. But having to run around in a blob with 40 other people for 6 hours is just mind-numbing.
… and yes I did map completion when wvw was included and I’m greatful they changed that. However, I think they should add the Gift of Battle into Pvp aswell as Wvw.

All I care about are my 40/40 heal set, my 40/20/20 Prot staff and my +5+5 Sword +30 +7 Shields.
