Statistics of ascended gear work in WvW?

atm the gap of stats isnt too high, there are only 3 Ascended items 1 can equip, the Backpack & 2 rings.
i assume it will remain this way until Arenanet add in other ways of aquiring the ascended gear before/at the same time of adding in more such as earrings and amulets and then eventually Armour/Weapons.
wouldnt suprise me, i know of some people who pooled money to total 200g and passed it around for the Golden title.
but again these things are much easier in a group of friends one can trust.
You’ve seen everything Fractals has to offer in terms of playable content within the first ten levels, in which you don’t need agony resistance. The only difference between level 1-10 and above are “very slight” additions in boss mechanics.
actually the loot gets much better, you earn alot of money from doing lvl 40 fractals (which is generally impossible without Revive Orbs from the gemstore) and above.
so yes you are missing out, no different than trying to complete old WoW content without the neccasary Resistance to survive.

not to mention Anet hinted at them most likely raising the level cap in expansions.Content isn’t gated like in other games. You don’t need ascended gear to do anything in the game.
incorrect, Ascended Gear is the only way to get Agony Resistance, which is the only way to do higher levels of Fractals.
and again Anet have stated you will need this for future content they add to the game.
Juggernaut and Sunrise are your best bets.
the Hammer is the better weapon overall, but the whole day-theme of Sunrise fits the Guardian perfectly.

most story modes are harder than the explorable versions.
but generally it all comes down to experience i remember my first AC story experience well, i considered it a nightmare.
i went back in there a few weeks ago only now at level 80 and being very experienced at dungeons as a whole, it was still harder than Xp but then the Xp version of AC is very easy.
i ended up solo’ing Vassar whilst my team dealt with Relena, Adelburn is the easiest fight of them all as there are several boulders that spawn around his room that you can just have 3-4 people constantly pick these up and throw them at him and he spends the whole fight on the floor.
also had similar experiences repeating SE Story, not the nightmare i once knew.
the idea is basically stick with it, you’ll get used to what to expect after running the dungeons a few times, then further down the line go back and repeat this dungeon and see what a difference it makes when everyone is used to dungeons in general.
topics about precursors have existed for a long time, mainly in the Crafting section.
it’s an issue that was being looked into but you can bet you wont be getting that precursor with gold anytime soon.
yes both Chill and Cripple work on enemy charge/leap abilities.
and is something you should avoid when fighting Bjarl because you want him to be charging you.
i’d prefer a system where the final chest/boss of the lodestone dungeons would just give you a lodestone 100% of the time.
this way you need to complete a path to obtain it and you could even put this reward on a daily system to prevent a massive influx of Lodestones entering the economy.
altho Crystal Lodestones still remain an issue.
if you could buy upgraded versions of the rings with the relics it would defeat the purpose of the grind of obtaining your Essences.
Did you actually have a legendary in your inventory, that you had not yet equipped, and try unsuccessfully to list it on the TP? Or are you just making a statement based on wishes and assumptions?
If you did fail to list an unbound Legendary, then ‘that’ was the bug.
yes i did.
and explain to me why only the 3 legendaries i mentioned show up on the TP database, yet none of the others do, bare in mind that the TP will list almost every item in the game including Account Bound things like Lemons, or even items you cannot obtain like Caladbolg.
the other legendaries do not exist there because they by design were never intended to be sold via the TP.
Mail was always legitamate and is a seperate system from the TP.

it was an oversight, because as usual the devs dont test these things, otherwise it wouldnt of been ingame in the first place.
meanwhile any legitamate gold farming outside of the TP is nerfed into the ground.
the glitch is that Legendaries were never possible to be sold on the TP, even though they are BoE, the option to sell them via the TP was never possible.
however recently in the wintersday patch Twilight, The Moot and Incinerator can all be found in the TP listing.
most likely a bug with the system.
sadly this most likely wont be possible until Guesting becomes a feature.
i agree the bell should of been given to those who score 600 in the Music Minigame, and be Account-bound to prevent any trading of it.
it’s a bit annoying yes but it’s been this way forever, on the one hand you could say this is annoying and should be fixed, on the other it could come down to you mistimed the skill and suffer the consequences.
doesnt really change anything, 90% of every legendary is easier to aquire (far easier) with Gold.

the Karma/Badges of Honor/World Explorer are very easy compared to the amount of gold one must aquire.
nothing about a legendary weapon is actually legendary, the only part of it that makes any sense is World Explorer, and that covers you for 2 legendaries.
they will be patched to have special effects eventually, it’s just something they havent got around to yet.
take for example Sunrise, look at the Beta footage of the weapon, and then the retail version of it now, massive difference.
obviously the Greatswords were the first things they focused on, Arenanet wasnt expecting so many people (although still small) to get legendaries so soon.
even Eternity has no footprints unlike Twilight & Sunrise.
If we ever develop an intentional jump puzzle workaround, we’ll certainly leave it in.
this sounds like an interesting idea
kill some trash mobs, or perform a jumping puzzle that both lead to the next boss/part of the dungeon.
Twilight is only worth roughly 1050g last i checked.
if you bought everything that could be bought.
minimum cost of any legendary is 120g for the 2 gifts/icy runestones.
funny enough items like Infinite Light are worth more than any legendary because of the lodestone price.
i’ve never had issues against these toys, i solo’ed several mystery boxes this morning to quickly finish my monthly, but then i did it on a guardian which is probably why, having Stability up as you open the box helps because you wont be knocked back.
the issue here is, Legendary Weapons cannot be placed on the TP by “normal” means, regardless of how they have always been BoE.
mail is and always was possible, but the TP wasnt.
changed the sigil in my Juggernaught because the sigil it comes with is possibly the most useless one of all.
i also really doubt even transmuting it from it’s base Soldier stats to something else will make it impossible for Arenanet to “Ascend” the item down the road.
this is Anet’s roundabout way of making you do lower levels, in an attempt to make it easier for those people stuck on those levels to reach higher levels.
but im willing to bet it wont work out because people will just do it with the groups they already have setup.
he can be melee’d yes so long as you keep circling the boss you can avoid the burn, you just have to also watch out for the times when he flys up into the air and will cause an aoe around him.

it will continue to rise because it benefits Arenanet more because your more likely to spend real money rather than gold on gems.
and it will continue to spike even higher during holidays, not to mention im betting you’ll see the name change contract added sometime after the holiday event dies out just to keep people wanting gems.

neither do i, but it doesnt change the fact some classes are better than others, why just today Engineers got a 30% dmg nerf to Grenade, yet Warriors got buffed.
i experienced the difference in damage between a Warrior and everyone other proffesion the day i beat Simin for the first time, when we got our fully geared Rampage Mesmer to relog to his terribly geared Warrior who is in nothing but MF gear with lvl 15 acc’s, and would you believe it she died faster than ever before, Timewarp couldnt do it, but a Warrior certainly could.
right now i agree, none of the fights in this game require a min/max setup, but why would i punish people i play with by not performing at my best where possible? why would you do that?
look at the mesmer, amazing amount of control and boon removal, there isnt a single fight or boss in this game that requires either of these, as stated earlier a Guardian beats a Mesmers feedback 10x over, Chaos Storm only randomly applies Aegis, a Guardian can do it on demand without fail, why would you ever bring a mesmer over a guardian ever.
im sorry if my posts are strongly worded, but thats how the game is balanced right now in pve, thats not my doing, thats Arenanet’s, i have friends who would love to play their other alts, but they feel the same way i do, why would you punish your friends when you can perform better on a different proffesion.
dont get me wrong, the day other proffesion shine you can bet i’ll be using them myself.
i understand that, but the way you did it just feels all wrong, your just slowing us down theres no actual increase in difficulty to the path, it would be much better for everyone to redesign the bosses to be interesting and harder to fight rather than just adding in trash mobs that do nothing but slow people down, i already have to deal with the 2hour Diminshing Return cooldown.
i should also note that Seer’s path isnt hard, it’s just buggy because of the Simin fight, pretty much every thread for path 4/Seer route in this forum is about Simin and her Sparks.

How are you so sure of what you’re saying Lorana?Do you play all the classes?No you don’t , if you did you would’ve known that Thief has practicaly double the DPS than a Warrior.A lot of other classes have comparable DPS if not even better than Warrior.
And whats with this obsession over support , you don’t need such a thing.This is GUILD WARS 2 , You don’t need to depend on other classes to survive.Self Heal is more than sufficient.
Guardian is probaly the last class I would take whit me in dungeons due to the lack of DPS.

i know what im talking about because i have level 80 Guardian/Warrior/Mesmer & Engineer
my Mesmer/Engineer do nothing but mine Rich Ori once a day in Southsun, because the proffesion on a whole is useless right now in pve, why would i ever not use my Warrior/Guardian.
my mentality is one of being the most useful to my group, i do that by using the 2 best PvE proffesions in the game, i dont string my group along by wearing MF gear, and i wont be doing it by using a worse proffesion either.
backup your claim of thief dealing great damage, prove me wrong.
CoF 1 seems fine, the boss is as easy as ever since the nerf long ago to kill.
yet what’s this i see, Arah path 3 has new mobs spawning that were not mentioned in the patch notes, yet no increased rewards from the path itself.
when in this thread here https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Nerf-silver-rewards-of-easy-dungeons you yourself admitted harder dungeons like Arah needed better rewards, yet your making it worth less because it takes even more time.
sure path 3 is easy beyond new people who struggle with Lupus but you should be making the bosses harder in exchange for boosting the reward, not adding trash that just makes everything take longer, i wouldnt mind if Trash dropped interesting loot, but they dont and are no different from killing a veteran in Orr only harder.
i should also add today i experienced a bug in Cliffside that made the cages invincible and impossible to escape from.

Special Note: 1v1 grenade engineer vs other class, engineer will always lose if the other person is kyting due to lag time between targeting and actual boom. Grenades are more a defensive weapon, and this change just weakened our defence.
Grenades are in a sense the ultimate example of how Anet can’t make up their minds about this being a action game or not. The controls make is near impossible to use grenades while both the toon and the target is moving like they were dueling in a FPS.
this is actually very easy if you use the Combat Mod, which is perfectly legal and wont get you banned.

I’m not sure why they didn’t implement boss-specific (or dungeon-specific) loot/skins, so that way players would have a definitive reason to go in there. Another failed design decision.
they did, you just never see such items because you dont wear full MF gear, but it most certainly exists.
so am i missing something here or are the cages now impossible to escape from?
3 members of our party are trapped inside, out of combat, cannot harm the cage in any way, other party members died, did i miss something like having to pull a switch to escape from them now or something?
it’s good to have one for peace of mind knowing you will never need to upgrade that weapon ever again.
AC has the Turkey Room you can access from path 1
CoF has the ledge/cave area where you can spot a King & Queen Ooze outside dancing around in a circle, again path 1.
CoF path 2 has that room with the Coffin in it after you defeat the last boss, it’s not even well hidden people just dont venture there.
SE has a jumping puzzle hidden in it
CM has the really spooky stuff out in the Queensdale area.

it’s not a dye thing no, the only way your going to get close to that effect is with the Legendary Hammer
sometime tommorow, devs have to be unspecific otherwise it’s promising something that may not arrive on time, which makes people upset.
i think the current set of armours are pretty broad in how skimpy they can be and ofc how armoured up you can look.
the system is fine the way it is, Universal Tokens even at a reduced rate of exchange would be terrible
and you can use tokens for other things as opposed to gearing yourself, like salvaging for ecto’s or throwing weapons into the forge for a free gamble at a precursor.

if you drop 10 points into Radiance pick up either Signet Mastery or Blind Exposure, if running CoF you can also opt for Inner Fire and the application of Fury will also heal you via Alturistic Healing.
if you drop 10 points into Virtue swap between Vengeful, Improved Spirit Weapon Duration & Master of Consecrations depending on your 3rd utility skill.
you want Stand your Ground & Hold the Line on your bar almost all the time, the 3rd slot is optional depending on the situation either a third shout or Wall of Reflection/Shield of the Avenger.
Signet of Resolve is our best heal by far, never replace it, and your Elite should be Renewed Focus.
Armour you want a Soldier set Pow/Vit/Tough and a Knight set Pow/Prec/Tough, the 2 runes you want to be using are a full set of Soldier Runes for shouts to remove conditions and Runes of the Pack, you only need 4/4 Pack Runes for the bonus you want which is to apply Fury/Might/Swiftness to you and your allies when you get hit, it has a very short cooldown making it go hand in hand with Alturistic Healing; feel free to either go 6/6 pack for the added bonus or pick up some 2/2 runes you like.
for Accessories use Knight gear.
your secondary weapon depends on the situation but you can opt for any other weapon in your aresnal besides the Sword/Torch as they do nothing for you, the Mace is a good backup melee weapon, the Scepter is for situations where even a Guardian shouldnt be in Melee range, the Staff has great supportive power, the focus will keep you alive and the Shield will keep your group alive.
use the Soldier set for very tough boss encounters or trash pulls, Knight for everything else.
both the Strength in Numbers and Pure of Voice outlined in your builds are bugged, SiN doesnt work at all, and PoV tends to just not work half the time.
whatever you do, just dont salvage it, a video went up recently of someone salvaging the legendary shield and all he got was 1 elder wood log.
