We don’t have the numbers to keep a presence in two maps and a lot of the time not even one map. Even then other servers presence is greater than ours, its been a few weeks since we’ve even built the waypoint upgrade at garrison and had it last more than a day. With that said, we like being able to clutch onto one keep in EB fully upgraded, whereas AR struggles to take a keep(and defend) that takes 10 seconds to walk to from spawn.

I’d like to say I know how each server shapes up population wise, but I play in off prime hours so I’m pretty lonely besides the constant spew of DR all over the place.

Path of least resistance, like it or not. But for DR :) regarding our BL and AR side of EB

Whip is a silly idea and does not classify as a weapon really, you’d be better off with throwing your shoulder pads as a weapon, heck a boomerang would be neat. Rather see spear/javelin and staff used as a martial weapon(instead of magical)up there.

You’re still forgetting grenades have a huge change to miss, greatly lowering the actual stated damage.

Well let me eloborate on what classifies as “picking on low levels”

Acceptable: pretty much any normal fight, zerg kills, taking out wandering scouts.

Unacceptable:
-Camping outstide of doors and spawn just to kill low levels but runs away from the first natural lvl80(had this happen 4 weeks ago with Dark Haven, two thiefs hid outside EB spawn and keep, promptly squished, laughed, and danced on.)
-Running straight through zergs popping invincability avoiding natural 80’s just to wail on low levels in back. You shall be pulled, imobilized, then danced and jumped on for this behavior.

Sooo no excuses, just trying to be a good sportsman. Envy? I think not, Im rolling a charr engineer, the least popular race, profession, and worst armor selection in game. Im pretty humble with what I got, I luv it all :)

As much as it pains me to say this…props to you PRO guys this morning. Had some great fights with you (many we didn’t walk away from). Keep it up, was refreshing to fight some really tough opponents!

Hi, I have a Twilight. Could it be me you are talking about? I “saw” 2 identical looking [paxa] thieves come out of their dust cloud before my screen turns gray. I’ve been out there on NSP bl all night until we finally lost a fortified Hills keep, that’s when I followed PRO into AR.

I’m the max-sized norn spamming the shouts trying to stay alive in a sea of NSP. I “feared” a small group of you NSP dudes off the cliff just outside the hills keep in your BL last night, that was the highlight of my night. I’m enjoying these fights immensely.

When the zergs from [Meow] are laughing over my corpse, know that I am here laughing with you, too.

Laughing with thoughts of what he’s going to do to each and every one of you.

We love you too [PRO]! I dunno what you did to get some of us to laugh at your corpse, its in the guild code to only laugh at lvl 80s that pick on low levels, thiefs, D/D eles, and such n such frustrating people(not accusing you of anything).

Thats ok, the Med armor chest and helm for charr looks terrible IMO , try CoF arms legs and shoulders with different chestpiece and helm, I currently use heritage or inquest. But yes, no fireiry tails :’(

Everyone knows loot is crap, I have recieved 3 rares and both of my exotic drops after all of the times I spend in WvW, two of the rares came off briar keep champion oddly, another of the bay champion and the exotics off a player, it was a spear with a shovel skin:‘( and the sentry outside of SE supply camp (Firelighter torch), and the BoH doesn’t help either, so the most I can say is everyone feels the same and wait for Anet to redeem themselves with WvW update in Feb.

Bleh, read it wrong the first time. But I suggest the Exit Form skill be changed to a click n’ hold channel instead of click n’ done, that would alleviate some pain for all of us.

Ya? I don’t see necros having fury forever.
Or Guardians stacking 15-20 consistent might stacks.

Two guardians can use the staff #2 and stack 24 might to an entire party in two seconds and then switch to a different weapon. Point being if you are going to troll on a serious thread stop wasting space, I hate scrolling back and forth to find what people say because of filler crap. Retaliation does not reduce damage, if it does it is an unintended affect of the boon and will be removed or a trait effect.

Even if it did increase drops, the drop system is probably going to see a revamp , its terribly buggy and inconsistent currently, but if you want to waste your money on MF gear go ahead, its good for the market.

1. No. Engineers have only 3 reliable AoE boons, at max, 4 stacks of might with HGH and area regen + 1.2 heal turret det. (or 2.4 if you are using rifle turret and det both, common in static discharge build. And retaliation if you are using EG and combo-ing off of super elixer with turret dets or shield #5?
None of these boons are going to save your life or anyone else’s more efficiently than any other proffession can. Heck even a warrior do better healing, drop one banner then use banner #5 on an ele buddy water field for 3 heal blast finishers, with one utility slot.

2. Any other potentially lifesaving boon or non-boon effects are RNG, which isn’t worth anyones time
Elixer S- Stability or Stealth
Elixer U- Stealth or reflect/absorb field. Two very different affects, completely situational
Elixer H- Short Protection/Regen/Vigor. Protection is done way better through runes and other proffesions, same with vigor.

3. The lifesaving things we do well that in a stretch we can call boons.
A. Super elixer with kit refinement, not longer since fix
B. Elixer R toss- Arguably beaten by Ele and Necro res, since Elixer R will not res people getting continually attacked and may miss due to blind and can be destroyed by smoke/reflect wall, while Ele it is instant and has different effects

Off topic
4. Retaliation scales with power, and punishes multi hit, AoE, and rapid attack severely, good example of this is if every grenade in grenade barrage hits a group of 3, all with retaliation and decent power, the user may drop dead, most Ive lost is about 3/4 hp at once.

Just butting in here, but patch notes have never been safe to judge their true intentions and changes, let alone judge our numbers off of(same for tool-tips), but I shall point out the key wording in notes also anyways…

“Grenade” skill now does 30% less damage to balance against using sigils.

-States “Grenade” skill only, but if they were nerfed it may be that “Grenade” skill grenades and the GB grenades were both considered…. lets say vanilla/plain grenades, and therefore both nerfed.

Grenade kit damage is now equal in PvP and PvE

-Which means that it is possible that PvE grenades could of been brought down to SPvP or vice versa.
-But also lets seperate Grenade Kit and Grenade Barrage from eachother, since GB is a Toolbelt skill, not a GK skill. Which means its possible that they were not related, and not nerfed.

Sadly I cannot confirm anything either, but if it has been nerfed, I am fine with it for it does a good amount of damage+not directly a Gkit skill yet is affected by traits, which is more attention than elixers get.

Jumping Puzzles and Char

Just bringing this up, but Trolls end had a small ledge that you can jump on at the very end of the cave, allowing you to bypass all but one jump in the cave section. But yes, it is very clear that many puzzles are not done with the charr in mind, which oddly is exactly what they should be done and designed for over all other races considering their size.

And again, you should be used to the jumps by now, I have barely any problems with camera-char size relationship causing me to fail, and neither should you if main a charr.

The AoE arguement has always been laughable, engineers that aren’t packing grenades or flamethrowers are left with a rifle that doesn’t fire when there is no target, or a pistol that does laughable damage and is bugged. Im pretty sure other proffesions have the same issue.

Part of it is just that people don’t learn to pay attention to whats going around them in fights, specially true in PvE where most just want their loot. The other part is that in most Group Events or dangerous mobs, people have gotten smart about rezzing and realized that if they try, one downed player becomes two defeated players.

As I’ve played more n’ more, during events I will pick a player that looks squishy and tell myself “You, shall not die because I say so.” and just hang on to them. I will always res when I can, defeated on the other hand, you are inconveniencing everyone else by contributing zero and died just because you are going for max dps and not bringing stun breakers, have low armor, etc…, so if there is a nearby Wp, use it, if not then maybe someone else will res you.

All visual effects are hidden in stealth, and show up immediately after you come out. So you’re fine, I’ve had a thief with incinerator chase me for a few minutes and it doesn’t show. And yes, as long as its equiped and not on weapon swap, the effect will show.

If you really wanted to protest, all engi mains would transfer to one tiny server, load up the population to max and quit, leaving one server quite literally dead. Or you could all port the same such as overflow shards and load up graphic affects via skills and consumables causing internal destability possible crashing entire overflow shards, but you’ll probably get punished for that XD

Anet should start making polls n’such for opinions on patches since it seems like they only spend time to respond to major exploits and adding incomplete or unwanted content.

Downed state on paper makes sense. In game its unbalanced and a pain in general.

It needs reworked in several ways.

1. Everyclass should be able to crawl, not just eles, thiefs, and mesmers.
2. Finisher modifiers need to go; stability, stealth, quickness, and maybe minion/pet shields.
3. Finishers should be quicker and counters need to be more timing related or changed in another way.
or
4. When initiating downed they should behave like Halo: Reach ’s assassinations, where only a teamate can save you with a well placed shot
OR again
5. Finishers need to initiate a sort of brawl where your moves can be countered by eachother, but the attacker will have a definite advantage but still deal great damage should he fail to KO by means of enemies or being countered.

And of course a simple rebalance in skills may fix issues with downed.

The entirety of NSP will give you a hug if you can convince GoM to stop opening doors in SM just so Anvil can sweep in and take it.

Its been a great fight, but it has been really crazy this week. Anvil is pulling giant zergs out of nowhere all the time making it really difficult to attack or defend one thing without having to worry about something else getting attacked. But I will let you know its much more exciting than PvDoor like half of last matchup, so thank you Anvil and GoM, for an exciting and action packed matchup.

Currently sigils are suffering bugs(not always activating or at all) when you use a bundle, and the dmg nerf was 35%, either the post is a lie, typo, or bug(another one, yes) in the system.

It was also stated that:“….This means we had to tone down some of the kits accordingly….”

Elixer gun Super Elixer healing was fixed back to normal heal, which makes it very weak for having to sit inside the aoe for the effect, but saw this coming.

Bombs still do supbar melee with delayed hits, flamethrower still misses and has terrible scaling, toolkit still has way subpar melee damage and is only useful for block, grenades still suck in anything besides PvE against stationary mobs and PvWall(where a single elementalist skill beats them in damage and usefulness, and several others are on par or better than grenades)

The other kits I have no idea how they were altered, I don’t even know if they were yet the post makes it seem like it.

Necros- fear got nerfed/fixed, but this was also seen coming, made a lot of people upset

Gardians: AH nerfed, also seen coming since it was OP if used in the right situation

Ele: Shocking aura fixed and related exploits removed, seen coming. Slight damage buff otherwise

Sin: buffed again.

I know of no other changes in balance n’ the sorts.

Nope, I don’play much on sundays. Im the orange/golden yellow charr sporting heritage armor, mystic rifle, and static discharge engi build. You probably saw Py Hyper(the one with twilight that you should probably run from) or Mean Old Goat.

Is there a reason you ask this?

There are a lot of good rifle skins, you just need to find one that matches your armor.

Personally, I love the charr Legionarre Bayonet, The Hunter is pretty sweet for the low low price of 140g(supposedy every precursor has another weapon that shares the skin try looking for it). Charrzooka is horrid, terrible clipping, its way too big and not bazooka-ish enough.

Que’s only start for servers as large as yours BP, here on NSP Ive only dealt with que twice since our WvW population dropped drastically a bout two months ago, during reset we’ll have maybe que on EB and our BL, but it only last a bit, 10 minutes at max,lately about sub 3 minutes.

Anyways, score update? We Nsp want to know if we’ll be facing DB and DH again next week, and one full day into it usually is a good fortune teller for that.

Well… I guess grenades are still useful for taking out poorly placed siege, Quentin and Mendon’s walls can still be attacked from the rear (in the river and stairs,respectively) so still no shelter for players on those walls, and we still have static discharge, for now at least….

Rocket boots need to be morphed into one skill with its toolbelt skill, a high-flying burning kick to the face or, it needs to replace overcharge shot, where you kick them in the face and the rockets blow their kittening face off.

Anyways, yes, this patch was absolutely horrid to the engineer, and the way everything was worded was pretty kittening close to complete betrayal to everything the engineer is, and everyone that loved the concept. I felt like I was throwing handfuls of firecrackers before, now Im throwing sparklers for crying out loud, why?!?! It would have been far better to drop grenades thrown to 1 and make grenadier deal +50% more damage(so same dmg as all 2-3 grenades pre patch) +range or have a 10-25% chance for a random grenade thrown additionally.

Its been reported that sigils only affect you while in combat, so you’re first skill will be unnaffected by the sigil if you use it to start a fight which affects some burst. Ironically, the on kill affect sigils already worked if you got the kill with your MH weapon, which makes the sigil excuse even worse.

That could simply be poor wording on ArenaNet’s part.

This game is full of bugs, I’m not convinced until they fix the tool-tip. For ArenaNet to expect all its players to read its forum patch notes is silly.

Tooltips have been terribly off since this game started beta, so you (and every other player) should be used to it by now. Its working as intended.

Yes, all sigils do work now. Although the passive affects from on kill sigils have always worked as long as you got the kill with the weapon : /

Not a bug, drinking elixers is now supposed to grant you 2 stacks.

.5 to .33 in is 34% nerf in pve
.45 to .33 is a 27% nerf in spvp

g2 was buffed back up to .55 in spvp
g4 was buffed back up to .5 in spvp

Unfortunatly g#4 has a huge spread, with the mouse directly on target you will most likely only hit with 1-2 grenades.

Unless you’re living in PvE or PvWall’ing, grenades really weren’t that good to begin with, but yes the 30% reduction is overkill, you now do +9% damage than grenades without Grenadier trait before patch. HGH buff is appreciated, sigils finally working as intended, and all the other buffs(yes I know several are bugged) also appreciated.

Although I do feel that most other healing skills should of been brought up to the power of Super Elixer instead of reverting it back, skills like it would make support actually feel like support.

First, Nsp has finally taken SM, and will enjoy its ownership for about one hour.

Second, Asura Ele commander in CoF armor from DB who’s alt f4’ing everytime he’s downed. Please. Stop. Its pathetic and gives your server and guild a bad rep when you do that. Same goes for everyone else who does that of course.

Third, my goodness we’ll miss you DH and DB for ahwile, fantastic fight for the last few weeks. Seeya all later! (:

You’re also forgetting blunderbuss is not completely melee, its range is 500 I believe? You miss with HB or grenade barrage, Anets not like, “Ehh, yeah we feel bad so we’ll give you half the damage on target if you miss.” NO, its does not work that way. For its range, cd, damage, blunderbuss is probably perfectly fine.

Same as Casia said, #2&#3 EG skills are pretty darn good if you use it in the right situation.

You know if you right click on the ore you mine it, unless the portal is blocking that too, all I can say is sorry, go teleport to WvW and come back later right on top of the node.
