Shredder Gyro

Just throwing this function change out there, its an idea but I didn’t think too much about it.

Throw tracking dart, tracked target has a shredder gyro spawned on them which performs a charge at them 3-5 times with a leap finisher instead of whirl.

Leap finishers are potentially much more useful with all the lightning fields scrappers throw out(like the toolbelt, making for melee range synergy, and allowing much more punishment for keeping enemies in your fields) as well as some others, or at the very least if it tracks the daze on detonation would be utilized. Otherwise, it needs improvements others have suggested.

I know this is in the gray area because it’s not really an exploit, as players use software that do not alter game functions and features, but this is an unfair advantage.

Because there is no official answer about macros as being forbidden, I can assume it is allowed.

Overall feel and personal key thoughts summary: Enjoyed new story, welcome Guardian buff and Scrapper nerf. Thank you so much for salvage all. New map is boring, along with no new weapons, armors, and stat combo’s. Two out of Five Empyreal Stars

Good

  • LS3, I enjoyed the dialogue, intrigued to find out where it goes.
  • New fractal
  • New PvP map is good.
  • Added New PvE map along with glider attacks
  • Class Balance, Guard changes were nice, along with some other buffs to other areas. The Scrapper change was good(coming from a Engi main) but…

Bad

  • Class balance …I don’t feel like the Scrapper spec excels at any keyrole still, but thats a longstanding multiclass plague. New Rev bugs, the Ele change just makes it clunky in a lot of situations now. I understand some of the reason behind it, but I feel like it should have been handled differently.
  • Caudecus’s exit. Really? More omg, its the hero, what do we do? Poof Portal. Find a new exit please
  • The new gemstore armor and weapon set tied with the release. They don’t look good.
  • Everything about the new PvE map, Bloodstone Fen. I enjoyed it at first, but the lack of space, variety, and new obtainable items killed it in less than an hour. There just isn’t incentive to play the new map for me and it just doesn’t feel fun.
  • The glider skills, I don’t feel any incentive to use them, Im not in the air long or close enough to effictively use them while also being in range to not have them heal/reset. The only time they feel useful is when a zerg is blasting the same guy to bypass that. Also the fact some npc’s have annoying anti-air attacks make me want to avoid using the glider when they’re present.
  • Unbound magic, the currency feels pointless, nothing purchasable appeals to me other than the Asc backpack. The ammy and rings aren’t inline with how easy they are to obtain through other means. You could have made some of the new armors seen on npc’s purchasable with it, along with the new weapons, or something :|
  • Size, Events, NPC’s, and Appearance. With how small it is combined with the meta events it has, I feel like I’m just walking from one end of the hall to another, there’s not much to explore or see, the maps ugly, it has Orr vibes. Most events I just spam auto on key npc spawns to complete(Seekers & Rift). The larger ones aren’t as bad when it comes to being actively playing.
  • Changes to Infusions, lack of refund seems shortsighted and RUDE.

The tip is misleading, you need to put 20 kegs down(very quickly, almost all at once) right below the red arrow, not just anywhere around it like it says. And portals dont work btw.

They drastically lowered the deviation amount a monthish ago, but yes some rng still happens and thats what you’re seeing. Simple as that.

^There is those few, but it’s more than likely low ranked Charrs or less likely cubs. And who says the Charr aren’t allowed to decorate with something that’s not metal or used to kill people? But on the other hand they could be there to appease Sylvari or Human taste in decoration, make them feel more welcome kinda thing, doubtfully, but theres that too.

The Watchknights were inspired from the remains of Gw:Utopia ‘s Chronomancers, and since utopia was cancelled some of it leaked into gw EotN, that picture is from the Hall of Monuments in gw eotn for those that don’t know. So I’m not entirely surprised that something like that existed. (Thanks for bringing the thread somewhat back on topic)

Thanks for taking your time to explain all that Konig, I just felt they were too advanced..noo.. just out of place considering the era of technology the world is in if they were indeed super advanced in the pure technology aspect rather than the more believable golem magitech(still boggles my mind humans made them).

And just saying this again, ufo looks like a crane coming through a portal. Anyone else notice the big red arrow swooshing around as mega stilettos stomps?

From what the trailer shows, I think it looks like a crane coming through a portal or being held up by those devices protruding force fields. With that being said, the Iron Forgeman is a large djinn powered metal suit, more akin to a golem, rather than a mechanical clockwork AI capable of reforming, repairing and, combining with other allies, created in the basement by people we know nothing about(do correct me if I’m wrong, I could find nothing on the origin of watchwork/twisted and Ive never been huge on lore).

ANYWAYS, back to the topic on this patch. I dunno, I’m skeptical of it. Anet hasn’t exactly impressed me with lore&story this time around, but maybe my taste have just changed.
Looks like a new boss everyone will zerg too the moment yellow letters flash on the screen, it’ll be just like pre-nerf Scarlet invasions. Except green, large fangs, and lotsa plant vomit. Yum!

Who says it has to be a “rich” node like the ones in PvE, it could behave like the rich ori node in Obsidian Sanctum where it merely has a high chance of 2 ores and a orb/crystal per swing, also these nodes will likely be hard capped at 3 swings, with 0 chance for bonus swings.

I have a partial set of medium T3, I didn’t real care for it at first put then I realized the pants give you a tail spike….yeah not ever taking them off now.

@OP Yes. I really love that HUGE bulky feel that set gives. I see t3 heavy and yes, its a sweet looking piece of art. Then someone walks by in that and woah t3 looks like ceremonial paper bikini armor compared to it.

Not sure if you’ve noticed, but flame turrets cone attack hits 5 instead of normal 3 like most cone attacks, does that count as a bug?
For me, switching targets after using overcharge, mainly rocket, the turret would often cease firing until overcharged again, I’d recommend testing this yourself since I was unable to test this extensively.

Your point? SE p1 is 1g takes about 7 minutes is extremely easy, SE p3 takes maybe 45 minutes, gives 1g and is extremely annoying. The gold added on was not thought out for any dungeon.

even tho Chill/Cripple/Immobilize are considered conditions they still slow or stop people from moving.

Theres a reason for classifying them as ‘soft’ CC and ‘hard’ CC, I suggest people start specifying what type before confusing players or yourself, as not every understands what you mean by saying CC in general.

Huh, it never occurred to me when reading the trait’s tool tip that the “100%” was referring to the base duration of the conditions, and that any duration investment would be regarded as “over 100%”. Kind of seems like wishful thinking honestly.

Like Zone said, all it needs is an internal CD and it will be fine.

That’s how the developers explicitly said it should work in patch notes and various posts. It’s not wishful thinking.

Here’s how the mechanic was explained in patch notes: “Berserker’s Stance: Increased the recharge to 60 seconds. Reduced the duration to 4 seconds. This stance now reduces incoming condition duration by 100%, so only modified conditions can get through.”

June 25th patch notes have the above stated. If you could Lopez edit your above post so I can delete this to save space.

Incorrect. New conditions can still be applied and will cause damage to the warrior while in endure pain state. 60 second internal cooldown (used to be 90 seconds).

On the other hand, engineer is completely immune to all condition application and new condition damage while in automated response state. No internal cooldown.

I was comparing AR to a theoretical Endure Pain at 25%, I am not saying what you have mistaken my message for, I know that Endure pain only works on direct damage and I am sorry for not saying direct dmg immediately after I had implied so, please read more carefully before accusing info of being incorrect

As for extended condition duration breaching this trait, I’m assuming this is working as intended. At one point it allowed conditions with +200% duration to bypass this, but that was patched and labeled as a bug. If anything I’d like to know where an Anet employee stated that anything past 100% duration should bypass this trait. Unless it’s Karl, any reference but Karl.

Off topic, but whats a high level tpvp player that runs this?

Devon: That is not something I had thought of, but I think it’s a good idea and I’ll at least start the ball rolling. Skins take forever and a day to be made though, so it won’t be for months if we do it at all

It is to prevent massive farming. The guantlet actually provides good rewards. Assuming you win, each ticket nets you 12 to 15 silver after selling sprockets.

Two days ago, guildie beats Liadra, gets Charged Lodestone. Forty seconds later, other guildie beats her and gets rifle Precursor. But that’s just RNG

Engineers got a bug spray gun and a metal detector for rifles, an awful sovereign pistol, no unique pistol from champ bags and a meh shield.

Thanks good sir/mam, you wouldn’t believe how hard it is to kill a treb in a tower being patrolled by 40 roaming Tc’s with a bugged elite while trying to find an angle that doesn’t fire into a wall or rock while trying to avoid oh so many CC’s at roughly 15 fps and sporadic lag attacks.

No treb makes a happy dance his pants off Charr.

Flamethrower was a solid choice, its blind while stunned saved you once against the npc’s, Napalm and Incendiary ammo were a bit redundant as FireBomb alone put out permaburn. Had another player come by, FT would definitely been your top choice, you’d been able to shove the player off any of the nearby cliffs or blindstomp if you managed to disengage the npcs and finish him.

Otherwise I would of suggested Radiation field to lessen the guards and champ’s dps, elixir guns duration is too low for the weakness to stack and its not like you would want to sit in the kit doing auto all day long, nor would the stunbreak be needed but Acid Bomb would of been useful for putting distance between the guards after a glue bomb.

I noticed you only used shield #4 for blast/knockback, are the tower lords shots unblockable? Also you like using that smoke bomb on the champ, don’t forget blind works only 10% of the time (: Side note, when you initiate the fight, is cabilist’s pull a projectile? Maybe you should try poppin a shot and then let Magnetic Shield/Airblast eat the bolas and pull.
