Speed buffs don’t stack, it only considers the highest one you have on currently. Aka Swiftness 33% is the fastest.
A stealthed thief with the Fleet Shadow trait is the fastest.
Nope, Engineer gets 100% speed boost from Super Speed, the toolbelt skill of Slick Shoes.
Super Speed merely puts you at out of combat swiftness speed, which is double speed in combat. A stealthed theif out of combat with +50% moves faster than an engi.
Or it could give swiftness and have it renew every five seconds, eliminating the need to constantly swap.
Engi could go up to 100% with slick shoes’ utility belt skill(for only 5 seconds with a 45 seconds cooldown).
Engi cap is 33% also, slick shoes only brings you equal to swiftness speed in or out of combat, ironically this isnt even as fast as theives in stealth.
First, its newb not noob, don’t degrade yourself with that term. Second, I’d recommend doing map exploration, get those skill challenges and area hearts done, some of them provide easy access to armor thats close to your level.
You guys do realize that one of the forums announcements(the ones that appear in the great big red box with bold letters when you log in) was specificly for this, and now you come to the forums 2 months later after this announcement? I understand they should of added a way to get rid of your spares, but coming to the forum is a bad idea.
Just saying, Anets pretty busy so don’t have high hopes for April Fools, It’d be best to find a fan group that does this stuff.
2 team tourneys for the items and mats from salvage of course, these are paid tourney level rewards.
AoE needs capped and its fine as is. Its silly to think that a fireball explosion is going to go through a meat shield of 5 people and magically wrap around them and hit everyone else. 5’s a good number. As for taking out the cap again, why? you’ll just bring turtling back with heals. Kinda pointless asking for this…
The cliff demands a sacrifice. Or five.

Yes it is supposed to create the two water field pulse, 1s water field every 7 seconds, neva ever rely on tooltip
And yes again, the CD is long, thats all. We have nothing suggesting that they are incorrect and devs haven’t said anything about it as far as I know. Working as intended.
Last time I checked it was 25%, tooltip error. Run across the long bridge in LA and use an instant cast skill to test how fast you run with and without it if you want, but make sure you aren’t using any other speed altering skills or traits.
Almost all need reworked, the only one in a good spot in my opinion is Toss Elixer R, as it is the only rez that doesn’t require channeling. What I would like to see, and you’ll probably laugh at this, is have the good ’ol Ressurection Signet back from Gw1 as an common elite skill, most elites are situational, but at least that would be handy in almost any case.
Passive: Revive 50% faster
Active: Ressurect ally back to full health and endurance from downed or defeated back to 25% with all skills(of revived) placed on 4-10s cooldown and crippled. Cooldown 120-180
But what do you guys think about the general idea of having an elite rez?
There are a few skills that go through blocking, normally because of how the skill and dmg delivery is tagged(projectile, melee, AoE, and a few others), just like how magnet will go through blocking, this skill is bugged, dmg is tagged incorrectly, or traited maybe? Get a guildy and test it with other blocks.
Its not new, its been bugged for as long as I remember, flag and ask a moderator to delete your post.
Guild commendation trader in LA just west of MF, check map for shield icon, for…. Guild Commendations. Cost a few silver also. Every guild mission you do should earn you 2 per mission type per day(or only 2 a day total?do correct me if Im wrong). Comes in Red, Green, and Blue.
But if I do get hit by magnet, the reaction window is incredibly small for how punishing it is to get hit by it. More punishing than BC or Basilisk for sure.
It is very punishing, no dispute there. 2s +/- a little bit is how long you have against your typical BS thief once you eat Basilisk Venom. 1.25/.5s is how long you got once you get pulled by magnet, to which you need to be very ready for the stun break to get out of but you’re pretty much dead. 100nades is without a doubt, the fastest way to die via burst.
Sorry to leave it a cliffhanger, but Ill go consult with some buds that run burst and talk about the pros and cons of them all, I’ll try to answer more questions maybe later today or this week. But for now, fun must ensue, for the game is much more enjoyable than the forums.
Oh! real quick, Kit Refinement, the trait that causes the barrage, is currently borked. It now has a 10s global internal cooldown so you cannot use Toolkit(Magnet) and immediately swap to Grenade Kit for barrage, but the toolkit doesn’t activate the CD(bugged). Doesn’t affect us much, but we think it was Anets attempt to nerf 100nades, not sure as its a really akward change. Being honest, I expect it to get nerfed just like every other decent trait the engi has.
Swapping isn’t even an action in this game, as you can do it while stunned.
Do you have a point? A lot of instant cast skills can be cast while stunned. And yes its still an action as it does proc confusion -.-
Your’e taking account of setup up time to compare to 100nades, but aren’t taking account of setup time with 100nades. As well all know now, it requires going inside the player model via walking or pull, and then throwing grenades and swapping. Add cast time together, you’ve got anywhere between .5s setup if you simply find an innatentive person and walk into them, 2.25/3s setup via magnet then walk into character and then barrage, 1/+5s setup if you are using overcharge shot+immobilize(RNG throw elixer S).
Please do avoid skewing statistics in your favor only, and take account of all burst and their potential and weaknesses. 100nades has easy counters too you know.

You can turn on combat log and if number come up, keep toasting the air.
Not entirely true. I have yet to check on wvw but it does not work in spvp or pve mobs.
Did not know, been awhile since I’ve checked, thanks for bringing that up Penguin.
Magnet is 1.25s cast(with a grossly visible visual affect) with a spec of delay inbetween completion and pull. If you want to cry OP, do please check your facts before doing so.
Even if it fails, an engi can stall long enough with the snare, ridic knockback and offhand shield until it’s back up. And it’s not that much time until then.
Almost all 100nades engis will carry a -450range knockback with rifle or shield(shield also has melee stun on top of knockback) and an immobilize or daze. They are basically the bane of melee. Dont get in melee range.

Toss elixer U has had a chance for failing for a very long time, at least 2 months, just like toss elixer h can give you unlisted boons and incorrect durations.
You can turn on combat log and if number come up, keep toasting the air.
“+10% when hitting a burning target”
Using auto attack alone, you only get two hits off before burning ends, which translates to a 2% dmg boost. Auto is still crap cept’ for crit procing
Detonate napalm was nice, I actually hit people with it now, would be welcome if they add detonate on contact with enviroment still…
The change to air burst is odd, not sure why it isn’t a plain 2s of burning.
Super Elixer buff, appreciated.
Kit Refinement…. Not much of a big deal, but its a little annoying I lose out on one condi removal and AoE burn, unsure of the point of GCD as everyone else is, punishes multi-kit when it wasn’t even close to OP to begin with.
Buff or Nerf?
FT: Minor buff, AA is still obsolete.
EG: Good buff, not much but all healing is appreciated, makes healing power a little tempting.
KR: Akward nerf, unsure of if the GCD + ICD is intended or if only one CD is supposed to exist
All in all, Anet really needs to take time to explain patch reasoning like in GW1, but have a decent staff do this please, everyone remember class philosophy blog? Please no more hybrid tax BullSkritt.
Only an engineer would get nerfed during a buff patch
Im pretty sure we all saw that coming. If you didn’t you must of forgotten your Utility Goggles cuz you got blind on ya.
Engi are you okay?
You okay?
You okay Engi?
You’ve been hit by.
You’ve been struck by.
A smooth ArenaNet.
Only an Engineer can make a blast finisher with a leap skill that should create a combo field. Make up your mind Acid Bomb…
On the bright side, Anet says they increased the drop rate of exotics from box.
Yup, just like bugged super elixers heals.
Anets response: Meh, low priority.
…On a side note, super elixer is supposedly buffed on path notes, can anyone say if thats decent?

You should be fine, its only a loss of 4(9 if you get a fine infusion) stat points, and you can always put versatile infusions in, unless you are trying for utility infusion, still no word on making them upgradeable through MF.
The everlasting potions recieve from the orr boxes are now souldbind after use, so you can sell them if you don’t use it. No changes for already soulbound tonics.
No, once you buy the item you can’t return it, thats why theres a purchase confirmation. You can try support but you probably won’t get you’re laurels back.
Kit Refinement: This trait now has an internal cooldown of 10 seconds globally for Flamethrower, Elixir Gun, Grenade Kit, and Tool Kit.
Well if the individual kit refinement ICD is traded out for global ICD, that means perma light field, grenade barrage every 10 seconds(hooray?), I’d be cool with that, it does kill some versatility yet again though.
The champion is really easy. Just spam weakness and cripple, run around the colum if he won’t break aggro and you can’t get away. If 4 engies can do it NP, you better not be having issues.
Mortar chill field is actually really good on siege since chill does affect the recharge time of siege skills, using rams becomes rediculous as chill makes its 5s recharge become 8s+cast. Keep that in mind, also does retaliation still get you through mortar?
Throwing my opinion, you aren’t running much condi dmg+ duration+ or vitality, yet you are using Blood Injection, which is only giving you +5 dmg a bleed tick with your stats, you might as well be having no trait slotted. As Sofria said, I seriously recommend Invogorating Speed(for vigour duh, who doesn’t like dodging) or Protection Injection(edit, didn’t realize overcharge doesn’t proc Protection Injection -.-).
Your rifle sigil needs to change to an on swap sigil, Air or Fire, I believe they can crit and give more lifesteal if you are using omnom pie.
Runes need to go to, anything else really, even try full runes of guardian and swapping bomb for toolkit, as you get toughness and you can proc burns with Gear Sheild.

Im pretty sure its not intended, however you should(if you want) flag your own post to get a moderator to move this to the “Game Bugs” subforum if you want a better chance at an official response.
This only appears on low graphics, you should turn up shaders(I think, might be a different one) one level and be amazed at how better everything looks at the cost of a few fps.
Another suggestion brought up on another thread was to report the kicker for scamming, as it does cheat the victim on loot and such. I Just don’t get why Anet hasnt made it so new players can’t join once you hit a 50% completion mark, seems like the easy solution.
Its just another goldsink, 5% of profit for listing, 10% for successful sale.
Personally, I think its fine, its probably the best implemented ingame goldsink as it is intended to directly keep the economy in check, just seeing the words ‘projected profit’ should have tipped you off, also it shows the listing fee and sales fee.
Sorry to hear this, one last suggestion, stand down and represent on multiple characters, that is the last fix that I know for it.
^No kidding, I sat there for about 5 minutes trying to cook it with a flamethrower, and it still wasn’t extra crispy. Anyways this is another pointless ‘ermagush so OP nerf it’ thread for those who don’t know how to l2p. Someone flag this thread to close it, Im to lazy to leave a reason for the moderator….
Cloaking device is a PvE trait for deterring mobs that mass imobilize you, I’ve yet to see someone actually miss a hit after cloaking. Its only PvP use is to throw off people that didn’t know there were more than 7 proffessions.
Sometimes influence doesn’t trigger upon completion of events n such, try rezoning, standing down and representing, or/and logging out, that should fix it. Ive never heard of it persisting after all of that done, if it does, I don’t know if support can fix it.
Just throwing in my opinion, I don’t even get why Consumable are in WvW to begin with….
…I almost feel like starting my own guild and buying all the influence myself just to show how badly this thread is screaming entitlement. 60g to buy the influnce completely with gold, 2 weeks to research if I dont decide to speed up the upgrades.
The guild Im in has ten people max log in a day, typically around 4-7 online in the afternoon, Im pretty sure everyone wouldn’t mind forking over a few gold if it was really absolutely necessary. Its a new guild, bout a month old, guess what we have everything upgraded to at least r3 in guild, two more upgrades is not much at all to go for.
Not enough people for a bounty? Wert? They said dungeons would be hard. Most massive group events like temples can be done with a 5 man party or less, very skilled playes can solo or duo party content. Not enough people to do an event? Go to WvW and recruit a few people that want the benefits, find another small guild to team up with, heck use this thread as a recruiting tool. Its really not that hard…
Its not cliche until you have as many people wearing full sets as there were warriors wearing black primeval armor in GW1
You counted watter attunement twice, anyways lets see this:
Watter attunement (2k heal), scepter 3 (2k healing, cast time, ground targetted means its a bit harder to pull off), cleansing wave 2k, dodge cleansing wave 2k. Thats 8k every 40 seconds or 6k every 20 seconds (cd of scepter #3) or 4k every 10 seconds (only water attunement and dodge). Those are the possible healing combinations combine them as you please, not to mention you have to go 30 in arcana and get some healing gear(not 100% healing gear you dont want to run around with 13k hp).
Now, engineers, if having some healing power, each bandage heals for around 2k as well (maybe a little less like 1.8k), x 3, with 12s cd, you have 6k heal every 12 seconds vs our 6k heal every 20 seconds.
Now warriors, banner 4k, lets say you also have 2 shouts healing for 2k each thats 8k heal every 25 seconds (shouts cd) or 4k heal every 10 seconds only from banner (just as eles!).
So on the highest cd, we have eles with 8k every 40 seconds, engineers with 6k every 20, and warriors with 8k every 25. These are roughly approximates since there are a few regen buffs, and also engis have some more healing i cant think of right now. So yea heal aint that overpowered is it?
Engi heal skill heals 6308 with healing power maxed out, the bandages heal 1694 ea taking 3 seconds to cast all not included time it takes to swap to medkit and then you need to swap out of medkit, for a total of 11390hp, main heal on 20cd(16cd if traited).
Lol, 1.8k ea heal with a little healing power?
With it maxed out, you wont even be doing decent damage on a glass cannon….
Just butting in, you could throw down 3 barrages if you managed to hit the 25% mark for instant TB skills recharge. Not saying that this happened, its just possible.
They should reset 24hours since your last opening, but they do bug out quite often and stay open.
I have a feeling they implemented the chest to secretly test loot drops, but thats just me speculating.
