Yes, but somehow in the tournaments all teams with engi lost vs a team without engi. Of course only very few left. The others are replaced by warrior, necro or ranger.

I agree with you but even if my class is now kicked of the meta. Please do not ask for kicking guardians out of the meta. Guardians are fine.
+ #2 Grenade has a cooldown of 5 sec. And if you apply (with full rotation grenades only) 5 (6 with trait) conditions (blind, vulnerability, poisen, bleeding, chill + burning (trait))
The person you fight has to remove up to 6 condtions while EG gives 2 conditions (3 with trait) and nobody removes weakness because of the duration.

For example if an Engineer fights you with your build and he lands his #2 grenade you loose 6k+ hp (because of bleeding + damage + burning) with a single attack.
Each nade is about 2k in bleeding for me, so that x3, with shrapnel thats an extra 0-3 bleeds with a 21 second duration each, and burning on top of that four about 4-6k damage depending on condi damage.
Could easily take 10k+ damage just from shrapnel grenade.
agree. This was only 1 example what the difference between EG and Nades are. Your numbers fits it much better.

I do alot of solo roaming on my condi engi. This is my build:
I have yet to find a profession which I cannot kill 1vs1. D/D ele with diamond skin can be tough but its doable. You have to go through 1-2k HP without conditions. Its not that hard unless they manage to surprise you.
I prefer Elixir S over Elixir Gun due to the instant access to stealth. I use stealth alot either to escape from outmanned fights or to unleash havoc at the beginning of a fight.
This build is pretty standard sPvP Engineer condition build. Of course with different sigil and runes. But it is weak to condition necros because you only can remove 2 condtions and so it is weak against spirit ranger and warrior. A good thief should also be able beat you in 1vs1.

I do not play WvW but is nobody running condition builds? I mean every condition ranger/necro/engineer will eat you alive in no time.

Turrets should give boons if you are next to them. Aegis, Vigor or Protection. Something like this
yes, I have a PvP engineer at level 2 and a PvE Engineer at level 80. Now I have to play PvP with my PvE Engineer because the PvP Engineer in the mist can not try the new skill.

This means for us Engineers. We have no pushback, less damage for the current patch. Looks like we should play bunker builds because we are not longer real damage dealer :/
The problem of this build for sPvP is the mobilty, no pushbacks, low defense (just 2 blinds). Now you will have problems to get the 25stacks of might. I loved the build but at the moment it is not that good anymore.

Great all around spec, both defensively and offensively. Tend to switch out backpack regenerator for prot injection if the opposing team has more than 1 warrior in it.
I play this build in sPvP for solo Q and it is very nice. It is tanky enough to handle 1on2 for a long time and is strong in 1on1. Unfortunately decaping in 1on1 is hard.
Also very good in team fights

15% chance to remove condition on crit would be nice.
Or sweep to kit removes one condtion with 10 sec cooldown.
Haven’t seen a HGH p/p in tPvP on top level videos or streams for a loooong time.
Maybe they are not dead but after dec patch they are because of less burning or less might

I guess we get a hot fix tomorrow because if we are OP they fix it in minutes. Broken skills last for ever.
How does the build look like ? p/s for 1 knockback. Vigor and immue condi means 30 points in Alchemy. So it is like 0/0/20/30/20.
Utility is tool kit for additional block. A stunbreaker is for sure taken. And last slot FT for knockback?
Longbow rangers are op against engineer and necro shouldn’t ever lose against engineer.
I lol’d. Explain, how do you manage to contest a node, prick around with zerg weapon and kill an engineer? Sure, If you give me WvW map and my ranger vs. pretty much any engineer I’ll kill him because of my huge range/kiting advantage. But in tPvP you can’t manage your range and any engineer, bah, any half-decent player will kill you unless you play flawlessly and they’re not any bunker

I asking the same thing myself. They posted the Patchnodes for Dec 10 weeks ago. They do not wait for our feedback for the patchnodes. So why does it take so long?
I think it does not matter the class you play. If you start the game and you see a necro, a warrior and a bunker guardian next to you. You are happy.
If you see no. 4 a spirit ranger you should be even more happy.
So I guess,
bunker guardian +5,
necro + 4
warrior + 4
ranger + 3
Engi +3
Thief +2
Mesmer + 1
Ele + 1
something like this.
If you do not like engis, you are in the wrong forum. Play warrior like every winning team joiner.
wow learned something new. I play p/p or p/s maybe the rifle is not so bad.
I definitely wouldn’t hate more cleanses, or a passive option. I’d point out that there are two “cleanses” not talked about – Rocket Boots and Rifle #4 both clear all 3 movement impairing conditions. Using them right before a different cleanse like the HT can really strip off a lot of red icons.

They “improved” the map now it is not so easy to knock someone off the map. That’s stupid because my knockbacks build for this map does not work anymore.
Poison dart cooldown is ok. But to remove the pattern is needed. I have very often the situation that only 1 of my 5 shots hits a target.
I play most of my time sPvP and Engineer is not overpowered but still fine in PvP. So I think you are not right. If the groups pop up and I see some engineers in my group I am happy.
Looks like we drop in our builds to the last place if you look at the condition removal after patch.
Vote for Elixir C for stun breaker
is it possible to stop the chain fear? Condition damage belongs to the game. But being feared for up to 6sec even if I use stunbreaker without having a chance to react is not very funny.
Same with my Elixir S toss :/
FT #1 should apply burning with the first hit, not with the last one. It makes less damage as Rifle #1 even with all traits and it is hard to hit someome with that. FT#1 is just terrible.
In sPvP p/p HGH is more or less dead from 10th december. You have to go for sigil of Battle so you apply less stacks of bleeding (you cannot go for sigil of Geomancy). You have no vigor and no pushbacks. I guess we will see that this build is dead.
The idea is not bad. But the FT is just too weak to be the main weapon. Only the last hit of FT#1 makes your target burn and it is very easy to evade. Additionally the December patch hits your build like a truck.
Had the best game of my live yesterday. So yes, I enjoy this

I do not care about hot joins. But yesterday in soloQ sPvP we won 500:499 after beeing 320:441 down. If you go afk, you will have never a great game.

It happens, I’ve had 300 point combacks in hot join. But the point is you’re 99.5% guaranteed to get as many points for /sleep as you are for that 300 point comeback.

Please review Elixir C,U,R!
- Elixir C is not usable while you are under the effect of fear. This makes this elixir very often not useful.
- Elixir U stunbreaker should be on the toss not on the elixir itself. The toss should be replaced my something different. I never see someone using it. The stunbreaker + Frenzy is not very smart. You use a stunbreaker if you are in trouble and with this elixir you get frenzy while you are in trouble. Not very useful.
- Elixir R should be a stunbreaker again. Or replace the elixir R function with something different or lower the timer. 30sec for refill endurance? Come on.
Going for 25 stacks of might pays a high price. You are good in teamfights because you make a lot of AoE damage. But in 1on1 you have no or little defense.
Also a thief steals your boons and kill your team in no time. 1on1 vs boonstealling thief is very very hard to win. Because he steals all stacks from you and 3 shot you.
Turrets will be only nice if they create a turret kit. At the moment you cann’t waste a utility slot for a turret.
