Maybe the people who do high level fractals like being able to sell something worth a couple hundred gold.
I dont. I rather have skill based rewards.
Always relog if you finished a hard achievement (switching maps counts too I think) or found something good. If you do not your data is only saved every few minutes into the server database and if something bad happens you experience these small rollbacks.
Why would a nerf mean that they’d become a complete joke after? It’s thrown around like nobodys business like if something gets nerfed it’ll become completely irrlevent.
Do somethings need to be tweaked? Maybe. Doesn’t mean that if said things did they’d be less challenging or they’d make them the equivalent of tyria mobs
Because I find the difficulty perfect and anything less would feel like a joke again.

The fractal weapons stopped being RNG because at scale 50 you unlock a merchant who sells them at 20 prestine relics each. So making these tradeable on top was stupid.
This whole ring attunement is a quality assurance disaster. I am not sure how they could miss this bug…
I see complaints about HoT content being too hard all the time on the forums when in reality it is a nice change to the brain afk spamming 1 in the old content.
I like Hearts of Minds in extreme mode best so far, even if I havent succeeded doing it even with fully organised voice chat groups yet. People will shed a lot of tears over extreme mode, but its truly the most challenging content in the game so far and it feels good to find something you cannot beat in the first tries.

I disagree with almost all of your points.
They should not even be tradeable. I hope it is a bug.
This seems to be like the new endgame challenging content. I tried it with two organised voice chat groups so far and we did not make it yet. Did anyone succeed?
Easy fix: Instead of pact mastery 1 auto unlocking the mentor tag, it allows you to unlock it at a vendor for 300g.
Your “urgency” hurts the quality of the story. If it feels rushed and incomplete as if it would be lacking 2+ acts and an epilogue, the quality is maybe 4 out of 10 to me.
Pretty much all of your problems with it are that the story didn’t go the way you imagined it would.
That’s absolutely not true and you know it.
I was really hyped at the point were Eir died, until I slowly realised that this was the top moment in the story (not because of logic, but because of the brutality and the surprise, which i really enjoyed). When i realised, like at Rata Novus, that the story is getting to an end, and waaaaaaaaay too rushed than i would have liked, i got dissappointed. The last third was just way to short, this whole story should have had at least 6 acts instead of 4.

TC followed most of his critiques with how they imagined the story should have gone. Did you actually read what they wrote?
As for length; the story was set with urgency. Your goal was to rescue Destiny’s Edge as fast as possible. In order to make the story longer, they would have had to rescue Destiny’s Edge a lot earlier; and introduced another arc, and in doing so bridge those arcs and the conclusion together.
I’m not a fan of stretching out a story for longer than it has to be. The brevity was at least appropriate to the subject matter.

Yes, you should have read the mouse over description. It exactly tells you.
Perhaps it’s intended to only be a story stage setter. What if this content is essentially the prologue for living world season 3? What if Mordremoth’s death isn’t what we thing it is and we only thought he’s defeated. What if this entire storyline is meant to just give context to masteries so we can deal with what is about to happen? What if Mordremoth lives on in the corrupted Sylvari and instead of killing an single foe, we know have to defeat a race to truly defeat the dragon.
I’m not ready to give up on the story just yet.
I thought Season 1 and 2 were prologues for HoT. I am tired of prologues and want the real content. 3 years of LS + expansion as prologue? I think I will be 100 years old before the game is complete then.
The achievement “Chak Killer – Master” in the mission “Roots of Terror” is bugged and does not unlock. I tried it 3 times. Maybe the opponents get stuck inside walls or something like that. Please fix fast, it prevents me from earning a mastery point.
Yes, the HoT story was even worse than the Zhaitan story. Felt completly rushed. Glad I am not playing this game for story.
As long as you have the skin unlocked after making/salvaging it (since its soulbound), what’s the fuss?
You can just reskin any same piece of armor with the skin, and there you have it. I’m sure eventually you’d end up skinning it over some ascended/legendary armor later on anyways.

It seems that fractal skins are now buyable from TP You can buy the 4 achievement reward chests there for some reason :/

Ah finally its possible to get aetherised skins again. Will help a lot. Now if only they would make sclerite, pyro and zodiac available again. They all were never available ever since they made the collection achievements.
One week of patches and these achievements are still gone

Not building them because they look bad with heavy armor sets. But I am greatful Anet introduces new very exclusive items.
You will need to do achievements. There are a total of 65 tyria mastery points at the moment and all come from achievements.
I am very disappointed Anet starts to water things down a few days after release already.

The old fractal rings from back when you could get +5 infused rings are not upgradeable to the 3rd infusion slot.
People have no idea what grind is. This is merely some character progresion typically for (MMO)RPGs.

The old rings from when there where rings with +5 agony infusion do not work for some reason. I guess they have a different item id and anet forgot about it.
There must be a memory leak for you. I have everything at maximum (and 1600p, supersampling on) except character model limit to lowest and I almost never get OOM errors.

My guess is, that the respawn time is either very long or very random.
The old fractal rings from back when infused rings came with a +5 infusion, cannot be upgraded to have an additional agony infusion slot.
I guess these have a different item id than the new rings and thus you missed them.

I looked at this list and there are several rare items such as essence of time not listed. Did you try those?
I found two more issues in timberline falls. Flickering textures in the position you can see on screenshot 1 and 2. A bush hovering in the air on screenshot 3 and 4.
The Halloween achievements from 2012 and 2014 went missing. My friends have the same issue so its not limited to me.
Please restore them, we worked hard for them.
Killstreak boosters seem to last longer than intended. I activated one today and it basically lasted the whole day so far. In my buff bar there is no buff which shows how much time is left but its definitely much longer than 1h.
They unlocked properly for me

Yes its hard to find people to do events and hero challenges with. Who thought it was a good idea to have hero challenges as group events? Will be very hard to complete them in a few month.

We discovered an issue with the Halloween Festival that we wanted to share with you: The festival activities are not giving Mastery experience for characters that are level 80.
This was not an intended mechanic, but with the festival underway it would be extremely risky to attempt to correct this right now. Weighing the options, it’s best not to take a risk that could impact everyone’s ability to play Halloween content this year and in future Halloween festivals, as well. We will be taking a look at the festival code after the Halloween event ends and we hope to have this situation corrected for next year’s fall extravaganza.

Be happy its bugged or people would farm the whole tyria mastery exp in one day. Way too much exp in there.

Who thought of these rune unlock prices? Example: 5g to unlock Rune of the Sunless which costs vendor value (around 2s) in pve.
I hope this never happens. PVE rewards in PvP should never happened anyway.
