I bought the sickle immediately without knowing it would have an animation. I had no idea it would come with one.
The little spring animation is sorta nice. I have no real problems with it in and of itself. My real problem stems from the mining animation used for it. It completely throws me off…
Then why? For the money you spent on this sickle, you could buy more than 625 same ori sickles. In one day, you spend about half of usual stacks of sickle. What approximately means that to recoup it, you will need ~ 3.5 years. The unique model? I agree, good. But that is not necessary. And do not justify such a price. Also clearly evident that the animation lasts longer than usual, making this thing even less effective.
I myself am a fan of such things, but if devs do not plan to change it, I will not buy another.
Hi. I’m not a particularly fan of whining, but… the animation of new sickle rly saddened me. First: I would like to preserve the unique sickle animation. I mean harvesting… Why character hews ground with sickle as with pick? It’s just mining animation… Preposterous somehow.
Second about the visual effect: it is just a little ranger’s healing spring =_= Perhaps it would be better to create a new unique animation with the… aquatic theme? This object, to put it mildly, is not cheap. And pick advances by effectiveness and usefulness in several times. However, the price is the same. Dear developers, please correct female norn one-handed weapon size scaling at last. The majority (almost all) of swords are so huge, that even by one third drowning in the ground. Some weapons (such as Braham mace for example), almost as big as norn woman herself and it’s grip circumference twice her fist. It’s bigger than the same weapons in norn men’s hands.
Every time I bring some screenshots, my post throws in topic with individual equipment bugs. And simply forgotten. Must I screen ALL weapons?

I’m sure that similar theme was created before. And not only one.
However: the cloaks. Where are they? Why are they not? Tissue animation in this game, without false modesty, one of the best. A pleasant-looking cloaks were even in the first part (how many years ago!) Cloaks, I mean real long coats, not accessories on your back, would look awesome. Of tissue, skin, even fur on the shoulders and so on.
I would not want to just get a coat like something legendary and unique. It is better if they are equivalent in quality with other similar things and may be obtained along with them.
So why there is no cloaks?

I’ve heard it only on the disk. “Ventari’s Legacy”, good music for Grove. “Tyria Awaits” – good underwater music. “Tengu Wall”. “Zhaitan” – never heard it in Orr. “The Darkness Will Fall”. “The Saga of the Norn” – must be in Hoelbrak. “The Vaults of the Priory”. “The Charr Triumphant” – suppa-duppa mega music, it MUST be in Black Citadel at least, not only in Tequatl battle. “Here Be Dragons”, excellent track, but it sounds only in battle with Zhaitan. (OMG) and ask to change the 10% damage reduction on speed signet of (what you smoking there?) – In my personal opinion – curved handed noob. Play another class, I beg you. You understood nothing that Guardian good at.
With the new (already relatively) greatsword animation of female norn, all “sided” animation refuses to work. For example if you use Guardian’s wall of reflection (swing arm) or muddy terrain (throws something forward), the character just freezes in place and all other animation (even running) stops. Bug exists for a long time already.

Um. That is exactly what Anet did my friend. Cashed in on the reputation of GW1, promised many things through their little manifesto, then didn’t deliver. I want this game to succeed, but how long can you stick around when every patch strays further from what they said the game would be.
Well, personally I started playing first GW when I found out about the second. More than a dozen of my friends and a hundred acquaintances, same, had not even heard about GW1 but love the second. Most of the players, in fact, does not know about the first part. So you’re wrong. Most of what they promised they implemented. Lacking only the pleasant things like city events. Chests? Why? I have not bought a single and enjoy the game. Now you can get chests from mobs. During the evening, about 5 chests easily. Patches are very high quality and interesting. The only game so far, which is really tells the story. And your judgment is built largely on the basis of resentment at the fact that the game did not meet any of your personal expectations. Isn’t it so?
With the whole ascended debacle and now the announcement of WvWvW specific infusions I’d have to say no. The game is headed in a way which I cannot support and as such I’m not willing to sink more money into it. The original vision which I paid to see realized has been abandoned and I with it.
Oh, come on! It will be something like a + -2% damage to players or mobs in the WvW. Exclusively for the moral self-satisfaction, no more. People like to farm something that they think they need. WvW players want to equip for the WvW, accordingly, therefore they feel left out with this gear to protection from agony. By and large, no one not even feel the difference. Do not dramatize

Well here u are completely wrong.
First: there is only one product with GW franchise – is GW1, and it was the same innovative MMO at it’s time like second now. The second part – a brand new product, devoid of clichés.
The second goesn’t “gets by” success or the ideas of the first part.
Secondly: it is impossible to argue that the game was made for the idea and the idea of ??it has and will continue to be, gathering clones created by these ideas by other developers..
Sucking money out of the brand – is selling a massive amount of copies, recoup the costs of product development, which often proves to be quite commonplace and of poor quality and does not implement all the promises. Huge sale mainly provided by success and/or popularity of the PREVIOUS parts or the success of any other products with this franchise. (Remembering StarWars and EA.)
The already clear that Anet is not involved in this. But Bethesda could.

My GW2 folder is actually called C:\Guild Wars 1.9 because experience taught me MMOs are usually in beta until the first expansion pack (at least, some for at least 2 more expansions). Until the first expansion, I will consider GW2 a beta product, like all other MMOs I played at launch.

With that, the game does not put a lot of things promised, it is still close to the ideal. There does not appear serious bugs mechanics, destroying some aspect of the game. (Played Warhammer online ever?).
In addition most of the complaints some sort of “and where the raids?” and “where hardcore?”, “and where a bunch of awards for this or that”, " there is too muchgrind" “there is too little grind”, “my class is not like I wanted to”, “why thou class is stronger is PvP than mine” and stuff like that. Most of complainers did not pass any serious dungeon or high fractals or, even, participated in the qualitative WvW raids. So it’s all complain just for the sake of complaining. Will be always complain. The game can not meet all the wishes of all the players. It is simply not possible.
Plus, I want to note that this game is very different in structure from the others. Everyone was waiting for it and rejoiced. And now there is a lot of whining on why is there no trivial components from other projects. Like raids, and directed healing, ever-increasing level of equipment, etc. Didn’t u think that it’s the have to abandon the template format and enjoy a new way?
Probably not because I’ll be playing The Elder Scrolls Online by the time Anet releases a GW2 expansion.
Do not waste your time. Did you see the “leaked” videos? Another clone with new elements, which are also cloned. And look … 2013 and still can not make normal tissue physics. Disgraceful. In my opinion Karka veterans have TOO much evade. It seems that 90% of their skills is accompanied by dodge. This makes killing them terribly boring. If several people killing such veteran, thereby encourages frequent use of its abilities, he is dodging nearly 80% of fight time. This fact isn’t add special difficulty to them. But it becomes boring. And annoying. Is it possible to re-balance their abilities because of the new add-on and reduce the surprising number of evade? Raise them to HP, instead…

1. First, what is meant by “soon get tired?” What a argument? Sooner or later you get bored of everything. Periodically, I geting tired of GW2 itself. Despite the fact that I love this game. Easy way out – If you get tired of something – do not do it.
2. MMO’s are good for its bossibilities. Such “mini” game is a possibility. It’s better when bossibility is always there, but not when it is given once a year.
3. This is a full game within the game, which can produce on separate disk, and it will successfully marketed. The presence of such things in game permanently – great advertising and guaranteed influx of players. (Personally, I even pulled in game five friends and returned one who did not like GW2 (he was delighted) by showing them that).

Can you imagine what would happen if the “resources” represented by developers who do puzzles suddenly will be sent do balance?

Frankly, dropped jaw to the floor when I saw the adventure box. The product of tremendous proportions. Genuinely impressed and grateful.

Champion ogre chieftain on the meta event “The ogre assault” in blazeridge steppes is immortal, for each quarter of his HP he cast aoe, then restores itself 100% health, even under effects of poison.

Pretty simple. Here lies the answer to the subject of this topic. If he is not better than anyone else in any of the aspects, so he preferred replaceable in any situation. If you need a tank – take the tank. If you need a dps – take DPS class. If you need support – take support. Why take half-measure of something. This makes the ranger class exclusively about ranger.
There should be a highlight. Something that makes it stand out above the rest.

im happy that we run always with the guild, in 1650h playtime i never had to pug once so i never had to meet people like you ingame.
in our guild we run dungeon groups no matter what classes, we dont care, we take whoever got time and we always clear any dungeon without any problems in a more or less short time. even with groups that contain 2-3 rangers, works like a charm.thats the great thing about gw2 but sadly there are still wannabe elitists like you are which mean they have to clear cof p1 in 10mins, 12mins is unacceptable and a waste of time and its only the rangers fault. but well i guess from your view its not possible to clear cof p1 in 12mins with a ranger in the group, probably not even possible at all, is it?

Since you go to the personality, a little bit about myself: I’m not interested for dungeon time-grindind. I play for fun. Go with those who will call. On wvw our guild raids takes 2-3 ranger in fully thougness\vitality exclusively for healing spring. However, may have to be more, but they simply are not. (Even in that outfit spirits do not last long, by the way. Another sad fact)

The basic game content declared as “exploration”. “Fast leveling and gearing” here do not make sense. This game, in its entirety, is a coherent picture. There is no “end game” and will never be. You should not apply bored MMO standards to this game

This, absolutely. I’ve never gotten any sort of complaints for being a Ranger, whereas I’ve seen people kicked on multiple occasions for being new to a dungeon.
Admittedly though I have received negative feedback in the Jade Maw fractal due to my pet getting targeted all the time. Even my spirits are sometimes targeted. We suffer more from this than mesmers (phantasms and clones) and necromancers (pets) because they can decide not to use minion-summoning abilities, whereas we cannot stow our pet.
A mesmer that doesn’t use illusions just lost 80% of his damage. Believe it or not, illusions are actually a greater proportion of a mesmer’s damage than ranger pets are with rangers.
The only reason mesmers aren’t in the same state as rangers regarding dungeon AoE is because they can more quickly replace illusions.
If Deceptive Evasion (clone on dodge) were taken out, mesmers would be pretty screwed in PvE as that’s their big clone generation tool.
Completely wrong opinion.
Mesmer’s clones – is part of mesmer. His abilityes work THROUG them. They are designed for conveyor micromanagement “called, he did his job, you blew it and inflicting damage, called the next.”
They, generaly, appear right next to the enemy and do not require any speed buffs (etc) to successfully attack it. They originally “cotton”, as they are designed to ensure that quickly die. And even if they quickly die – they do their job.
Ranger’s pet – is an appendage. It is hindrance. It requires attention, buffs and calculating talents. Ranger is not designed to ensure that his pet is dead. If both pets die – just replace them does not turn the whole fight. And you, yourself, as good as dead too, then. Since nearly one-third (and this is the only such class) utility skills works only on (or exclusively with) pet.
Ranger and pet have no synergies, such mesmer and his clones have. Against the background of mesmer, ranger’s mechanic looks a tear in the game design.
