I understand where companies come from making us change our PW, but its tiring. I now cannot login in to play, nor can I change it because I don’t know my old one and/or can’t think of one that “fits the requirements”. Now my account is locked and I can’t contact customer service…faaaaantastic. Gaming has become harder and harder these days.
You can contact customer service via “support” on top of this page and then continue with “ask a question”. And as the answers are send via email you can update and answer through the same way.
Game account and support account are not the same!
Well, the phrasing that only 5 characters per account are counting is new. I guess it came along with the new update. But even then I don’t get all the influence I’m due: 3 out of 10 characters from 2 accounts awarded is still one third of which I am entitled to receive.
BTW It’s great that information like that, don’t turn up in update logs or in this thread. Here are many people complaining on not getting all influence and the new limit might explain some new / actual changes.

The same problem and error. But I was just playing before. I was kicked out of the game when I moved from the Plains of Ashford to the Black Citadel via the city gate. There was a message that connecting to the Login server failed. After that I was on the launcher and that provided the above error.

There are several “master” versions available.
The Wiki does not serve the recipes ordered for master or else, so it is hard to find something else there.
GW is a bib boy. But GW2 is still young. And they don’t think on the errors we make, but to put more and better content into the game. And those other boys ask a monthly fee.

If you delete all characters and put all valuables inside the bank, you can change the servers for free. Only things you loose will be souldbound items. No other character can take these.

There is a time limit with such links. If you don’t hit it on time, it will always return an error. As the access will be denied, if you DON’T accept the access, the result will be the same. The one trying to get in, won’t get in.
Not knowing the rules, will not save from punishment. No court of law accepts such an exception, why should somebody else.

There is a thread somewhere else in this forum, that there are problems with the German provider Telekom since the last update in late February. Your problems could have to do with that situation.

I would try to change the password and to delete any possible IP ranges from China on the account page, which you can reach from this page. Look for security and delete those IP ranges there.
If you cannot do this, write a ticket to support and ask for a change of password.
First, there is a cooldown of 2 hours if you did wrong on the change.
Second, they check against a list of known passwords. It may be that the one you are trying is on that list. Somehow here I read that the error message might not very good.
If anything fails, you might ask support to change it for you.
I would request an email and password change, because somebody getting so far knows your old combination.
Someone will probably be automatically promoted to guild leader after some time.

If you were hacked, you may ask for an account restoration. I would ask for a change to my old server too. But read the information about that first. Account restoration will only be done one time per account.
Sadly as it is, there can be no 100% confirmation. This is a game, that is played internationally. So while it is acceptable behaviour in New Zealand to show your tongue to somebody else for a welcome, it might be considered bad behaviour in other countries. There are just so many vulnerabilities in so many nations and cultures. If somebody chooses to be upset and it is accepted by his environment, Anet might have to follow this lead of opinion.

Although I am not an official, but a player like you, I don’t expect anybody to say a “last word” on this. I know I might be a victim myself someday.

That word was “g a y” and now the Americans would have captured that innocent word and made it into something completely different. Except for the Plains of Ashford addition (where I stumbled upon myself and started a search) I have found no information on changed or added parts for the map (and even that was only in some discussion on the wiki).
Sorry, I am out of my wisdom here.
They added some POI in Lion’s Arch during the Karka invasion. And they added some waypoints for the Guild quest (for example one additional waypoint in the Plains of Ashford south of the Guardpoint Decimus Waypoint).
If it is the same as with the Lost Shore addition, you can complete them but you won’t get another completion box when you have had it before.
The game is a living creature – that’s why it is called “living story”.

Your display name is the name, that is shown here.
Your account name and your password is probably the things you used to get into this forum. (Some browsers remember their passwords and IDs – like my Firefox. You can check there for the missing information.)
The rest can be done via a support ticket. Here you only need a working email, because all answers and updates can be done via email. At the same time a support account is DIFFERENT from a game account, so you can start one now.
When going to the black lion trading co. it keeps telling me invalid authentication and will not allow me to do transactions. Any ideas whats up with that?
Sorry, but that is a different problem of which I know nothing. But the best solution would be to check other threads connected to the BLTC, because I have read about similar problems or to write a support ticket.
They need more than reports to ban people. But you should not forget, that at Anet there are human beings as well and they sometimes make mistakes.
If you request it (and you have done it) you can ask for a review and if anything goes right, he will be back again.

Guild transfer is free, but you loose any guild buildings and the influence you have accumulated. These things are server bound. If you leave one server, it stays on the server and you start new on the new server.
Every account has to make the server change and has to pay the individual fee.

They would end up with endless discussions on why the name is good or bad. It’s less work to say “change it”, then doing anything else.
As I said, they say now “change it” and only if you fail, will you get a suspension. (I think, that if the offense is clear and straight, it might get a suspension on the first time. But I’m not sure about it.)

No, they had not. Read the threads about security – especially the one from Brian. It will explain a lot. If you had used your email AND password on other sites before, the knowledge could be from there, because other sites have been hacked.
When you receive an email for authentization, you will have only a short time to accept it. If you deny on time or if the time is running out, the access request is denied. So the error when you deny it later on – it’s just normal, because the link don’t exist anymore.
But I would suggest to change the password. It seems that one is known outside or the message for authentization would not come.

I – for example – get only one third of the members log in acknowledged. Since 6 months.
Your Internet Service Provider is giving the location and usually it is one of his bigger service stations that is named as being local. That place can be hundreds of miles away from your real address.
I would start to worry only, when the “local” address is somewhere abroad or halfway around the globe.
Hmm well so today i got my account restored but when i logged in all but 1 toon was gone.since i already had a ticket do i need to send another to get my stuff restored?its been almost 4hrs since i added to my orginal ticket and no word.

An update to the existing ticket should be sufficient. After all the account restoration is someway linked to being hacked.

I don’t know why you are not shown the buttons or why you cannot use them. Anything works fine with me.
But usually you don’t need this pages, when you have a ticket already, because you receive mails whenever there is a change (beside the automated answer that a ticket was received). You can update your tickets by using or expanding this mails to send answers.
I did, when I couldn’t access my support account.
