Make your own group. Write what you want in the description, eg. “AC path 1, everyone welcome, no skiping, no stacking”. You’ll find people in no time.
Just because a majority of players prefer the speedrun/skip version doesn’t mean everyone does.
to be fair with the amount of morons who don’t read the lfg descriptions this can be problematic at times.
No matter what you do in life, there will always be a moron making things problematic.
Exploit? Which exploit?
And it doesn’t take a hour. Try it yourself.

Am I doing this right?
Its not a problem. You sell dungeon runs at your own risk, since its not supported by Anet.
Then you buy Dungeons at your own risk, too. Therefore kicking ppl after they payed me 20g for arah p4 is fine and I cannot be reported for this, since its not supportet by Anet.
Are you experienced enough to kill jade maw on fotm lvl 10 even if your team is not that good? You could sell runs. Its not the world, but its something.
Nick you missed his point. If you prefer one playstyle, you get a lot of reward A and no reward B. In your case thats a decent amount of karma, fotm skins and a lot of ascended rings.
I do a lot of dungeons and while I have just 650 instead of 3000 Gold (I could screen that for you if you insist) I have trouble gathering ascended rings for my alts.
It doesnt have to be this way, what if we could choose a “tank” to make our live easier and take a “healer/support” with us but it would take 40% (2 of 5 dealing less damage) longer than running full DPS but it would be easier.
On the other hand, running full DPS (glasscannon) should be more risky than other setups, but with the reward of being faster (5 of 5 dealing full damage). This… is what the game already is, minus the “tank” because there is no aggro control skills.
Well… as I said, its not, running full glascannon is the most effective way, but it is not more risky (in most cases) than running with tankier setups or a support, due to the dodges/blocks and slow attacking enemies.
Running full tank you can soak up around 2x the damage taken.
Not from what i have seen. 25% extra, maybe.
I and a friend actually tried this. We specced from full zerker to PVT-Warrior and AH/Knights-Guardian…
Do you know Alphard in Arah path 2? His Pull-into-BOOM-Attack?
You know something is wrong when you’re on your Guardian and counter that bomb with stability instead of aegis.
Srsly, that thing oneshoots a Zerkerwarrior. He lost maybe 20% of his health. Zero *’s given that day. And they say Zerker destroys game mechanics….

You need 13 halloween achievments to finish the halloween-quest and gain access to the storymode instance. Its not about AP only.
As long as this game involves mindless grind I’ll support any mindless way to bypass this grind.
If you prevent this, you would only fix the symptom, not the root of the problem. Don’t blame the player, blame the game.
I mean, seriously, what did they expect when they made an achevement for stomping 20 ppl with the new stomp?

1. Everything that I loved about Guild Wars.
^this
Here is the Problem: Every half decent group can stack ~10 vulnstacks by themself. To reach 25, your build needs to maintain 15 Stacks on its own, How to do this? Well, first you rush in, use Well of Suffering, maybe use DS4 or axe 2. Screen is filled with numbers, good feeling. After 6 Seconds your Well runs out and you need to use axe autohits to maintain the Stacks. And thats bad. I doubt that, with this gear and build, you even reach 4 digit dps with your axe auto. Dagger/Warhorn can reach Warriorlike 8-9k dps if buffed, geared and played properly. 15 Stacks of vuln wont close that gap.
Now look at the engineer. Grenades, to be precisly. They deal good dps and stack more vulnerability than your necromancer.
I don’t know why, but i think Guardians are not that easy in PvE. I mean, ofcourse, if you roll Knights or Clerics with Altruistic Healing and a hammer or something similar, yes, easy as heck, but I could play my thief with Soldiers gear and Shortbow, that would be pretty faceroll, too.
If you choose to get the most out of your guardian, you have 12k Hp at best, a not so stronk heal and close to 0 condition remove. You still have a lot of group utility and you outdmg most other professions, but there’s little left for yourself.
On the other hand, almost no guardian chooses that way, maybe thats why we have so many of them.

Server? EU can’t play with NA and vice versa.
How could you force people to do this? If Anet asks me for my real name, well, it’s John Smith. Oh, your name is John Smith, too? What a coincidence.
[…] great build for starting out, once you hit level 80. […]
Uses Sentinels gear (~9g per piece?) and ascended trinkets. Yep, good stuff if you’re new, easy to get.
And dat dps… insane…
- Beeing bad has nothing to do with gear, AP or traits.
- If you find efficiency fun, thats okay. But if you cannot have fun without efficiency, you have a problem and probably shouldn’t pug.
1. It sorta does. Because if you’re good, you will use good gear and good traits. If you’re bad, you might get lucky and use good gear and traits, but its impossible for a good player to use bad gear and bad traits. If you feel youre good and you use bad gear bad traits I have some bad news.
2. I recognize this. I pugged for the first time in about 8 months on Tuesday. It was a simple AC p3 pug and we were filling 2 spots. We went through 10 people before we found people who knew what to do or could listen to direction. It was abominable and I was breaking down mentally. I am not cut out for pugging. How people pug Arah I will never understand.
Beeing good has something to do with gear etc. Beeing bad however, has not. You can play bad in zerker gear.
And I am not sure if I understand the purpouse of this thread. You want to filter pugs based on certain criterias? Yeah, ofc, why not. glhf. But if I’m not mistaken, you suggest that everyone does this. And thats what my second point reffers to. I have fun with pugs, even if they suck. So why should I filter them? If I want a good run, I can ask my guild. [rT] is always there for you!
I’m not going to read 4 pages of “BERSERKER BEST YOU WASTE MY TIME WHEN YOU NOT PLAY BERSERKER” and “I PLAY THE WAY I WANT YOU ELITITST”. I read those pages every day when I walk through the forum. Not again. Forgive me when I repead something already said.
I have one major problem with the OP. You preach freedom. And in the same minute, you ask people to report everyone who thinks different than you. “play the way you want” works both way. If you want a tank-healer in a no trinity game, well, okay. Whatever. But if I want a full zerker party, how dare you report me if I dont want to play with you? Am I not allowed the same freedom you have?
You are not satisfied to play the way you want, you want everyone to play the way you want – and thats Incorrect Thinking
Once I pugged arah p4 with a clerics guard and a condition-FT-engineer. Those guys had no idea what to do, but we used Teamspeak and it was fun.
Same dungeon, same path, other group, teamspeak. ~1 month after game release. I think I laughted 2 hours from the start to the end. It was awesome. At one point someone pinged a green lvl 80 pistol, and the mesmer asked if she could have it, because it was better than her current weapon. Best group I ever had the honor to play with. Took us 2 hours to get to lupicus, then we wiped three times and gave up. (It was 3 am)
Once I pugged the new TA path. 2x Longbow/bear ranger and a guard who doesn’t knew what wall of reflection is. Was awesome, 10/10, would pug again.
Once I had a full berserker axe/mace + GS (6k+ AP) warrior in arah who kicked me at Lupicus, because we wanted to melee him and I refused to use a staff. And you can’t kill Lupicus in melee range without the op 2k heal from a guardians staff. True story.
Moral of the story:
- Beeing bad has nothing to do with gear, AP or traits.
- If you find efficiency fun, thats okay. But if you cannot have fun without efficiency, you have a problem and probably shouldn’t pug.
(edited by Molch.2078)
Why do you think, that just because there are mobs, means that you need to kill them? I dont see the connection.
Please Anet say something on the matter to clear the waters and settle this once and for all.
They did.
Bad guardians don’t out-dps bad warriors. Maybe thats the problem.
And if you’re doing dungeons, berserker is the best. Period. If you can solo content in zerkergear, I don’t see why you should bring any other gear in a group.
Tequatl on the other hand is tequatl, but srsly, who cares…
I think I’m done here. Have fun!
Btw, now that you renamed your thread and the opening post, I’m fine. Thank you.
~28 minutes, at the part where you destroy two of the holo generators, you choose not only to ignore the mobspawning steam watcher, but you simply hit the second generator. Do you even know how to kill those things? This is not “making some mistakes”, you just have no idea what you’re doing.
There is no “how to” in your video, you don’t explain things, you speed it up and skip parts (what was the real clear time? 2.5h?) and your tactics are lackluster. Please range more trashmobs with Longbow.
And why does swiftpaw listen to an A-net social worker?
(edited by Molch.2078)
5 Warriors, one guardian? Did our pseudo 6-men tactic spread?
Don’t make fun of me while I make fun of other people and watch the video.
I stopped at the sparky and slick fight. It was just too painfull to watch. 4 Warriors, one Guardian, 0 melees. Well, one melee, but he said he forgot his rifle, so that doesn’t count…
This isn’t a walkthrough. This is a “I did the dungeon with a random pug and I am very proud of myself” – video.
And there is so much wrong just in the first 15 minutes, I dont even know where to start.
And when this review seems to harsh, don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate on you or your playstyle (I’m sure other ppl will do that for me), but on your presentation. You claim this to be a walkthrough, “i’ve noticed allot of people still don’t know what to do”, " hopefully this will teach people how to run it" and “Please like and share so people can learn how to play this exp path” – and you fail to deliver.
Yes, occasionaly. Pm me, maybe you’re lucky^^
Moral of the story is dont listen to idiots.
This is actually a good advice.
Have a nice day.

Do you know what a combofield is?
Please help me chooce somthing instead of discussing who does most damage. Thank for the help so far!
dps – whatever that means.
The only viable build with the staff is support/healing.
Besides anyone who thought “dps all the way” left ele a long time ago.
Thats funny, because Ele is #1 dps in PvE.
No, thats warrior your thinking of. Their 100 blades pretty much hold the highest dps count.
Note: Not sure if the 26k dps is still possible for 100 blades or not (never pays much attention to other class nerfs)You don’t really know what dps means, do you? Warrior are quite average for damage dealing in PvE.
DD and DPS are two different things.
Damage dealer would refer to burst damage, high spike damage but low damage output in that downtime.
Damage per second is the classes ability to constantly deal a set amount of damage with low or non existent downtime.
That high downtime the ele has on damage dealing abilities kills ele in WvW and PvP in a larger group. Eles only do good 1v1 and PvE, and with more and more things becoming immune to conditions which kills half our damage (and no extra damage in a party anyway since everyone bleeds), Ele is quickly becoming an obsolete class. It already has no place in dungeons or world bosses, and is only good for support elsewhere. Even if you wanted to argue FGS makes it better, it’s really not worth the 3 minute cooldown for 30 seconds of increased damage. I can understand the other elites having a very high cooldown, they’re there to save you in a pinch, but the FGS cooldown would need to be lowered before it’s even considered as a serious weapon for ele
If you’re pumping out more dps than a warrior, then he’s doing it wrong, very, very wrong.
We can argue about words all day, but in PvE (and if you haven’t noticed yet, thats all I am talking about) Elementalist has both higher burst and sustained damage than a warrior. Warrior 40k 100b, 20k ww, ~30k axechain is not much compared to an elementalist.
… with FGS the ele is god…

Afaik, Empower Allies is a Mastertrait after the next patch. And I dont like FGS for the might. WW does up to 25k in one second. 8 or 10 sec cd make a difference.

Just think for a moment
What would you do if 5 eles all with permanent dazing shield (And a mesmer with null field because >stability) came at you? What would you even do?
Permastealth
Next patch:
“Hey folks, we figured out that Guild Wars 2 was to hard the way it is, so we removed it and replaced it with GuildWars Tetris. It’s like normal Tetris, but the blocks fall at half the speed to make it easier, you cannot speed them up since we want you to get the full GWTetris experience and you have to pay gems for the I-blocks.
Have Fun!"
Okay, srsly, the dungeon is cool, but I don’t understand why they had to remove tafu, too…
…instead of braindead “stack here and dps” tactics that run rampant in this game.
Those tactics work well in this dungeon, did it twice and while the bosses wiped us sometimes, we never had trubble with the trash. Tbh, the trash is so easy, I dislike the fact you cant skip it.
Well, they work as long as you dont try them braindead….
“Hello everyone,
I recently tried to solo this famous boss on my _ _ _ and I stumbled into some problems. For example, I dont know how to handle _ _ _ and he always kills me with _ _ _ .
I am using _ _ _ as gear and _ _ _ traits. I also watched this _ _ _ video, but I cannot figure out, what happens at/how he avoids/how he can _ _ _ .
Tyvm, Brando."
^try this, maybe we can help.
Probably not. This is the internet after all, you’re never the only one.
Point of this thread?
So what? Whats the purpose of this thread? Want any protipps? Get Zerkergear, use Dagger and search for a decent team.
If not, then just follow your own suggestion and buy a signet of energy. Or two.

With all the uproar about how everyone should be 100% berserker dps-focused, it’s nice to hear a story of how a tanky, defensive focused player can make a positive difference in a group.
I choose you, Swifty.
With all the uproar about how everyone should be 100% berserker dps-focused, it’s nice to hear a story of how a tanky, defensive focused player can make a positive difference in a group.
How do we know he was defensive focused? I spend every night in my full zerk guard ressing PVT’s at lupi. Erry nite..
Why do you rezz them?
There is nothing wrong with being a scrub in this game. And if someone wants to earn his Arah-Weapon by Zergfarming 24/7 because he likes beeing semi-brainafk since he works all day: Why not?
Its not like you jump into Arah, hide behind a tree and look for path-buyers to scam. Everyone can see where you are, therefore you have to complete the path. And then, when everyone has paid, you can choose:
Kick them and eat 4 reports or hit the endboss 3 times (takes a few sec) and get the end reward.
So, why again should I scam people?
They even stack multiplicative, not additive (thats a good thing – its actual ~150% damage.)
