using a key logger i am unable to reproduce this bug the only time i pop out of shroud is when i press the key twice.

I have to admit, I hope not. Pro league is expensive and I don’t see that it adds a lot of value to the game.

Beside that, the players haven’t had much of a track record in terms of getting along with the vast majority of players.

Asking for win only rewards skirts very close to elitism. PvP is already fairly unattractive to new people.

If new people get hammered and get no rewards in the bargain..? Regardless of the faction that wants only “skilled” players, PvP needs population.

Such a step would drive away even more people and reduce match quality still further.

i agree the skilled players arent skilled. its definetelly the players who dont win games that are skilled its most def the bronze players that are actually more skilled than the likes of toker, nos, helseth, olrun etc.

There amount of losses don’t matter if he was getting put in matches with higher rated players. The amount of points won and lost depend on your opponents rating has nothing to do with win percentage.

I see the whole team queue thing as a crutch. It makes players look and feel better than they really are.

I’d like to see pure solo queue with enough rewards to keep PvE players coming to investigate. Realistically, matches will be poor if the population continues low.

Learning to play effectively with a team is just as much of a skill as learning to play as a solo.

Its possible there are players that are 10x better on a team with a certain comp than they are as a solo. Doesnt mean the solo has more skill.

Honestly I have to agree here. There is something super fishy going. If or not it’s intentional by the devs? I have no clue. However people even from the outside looking in see how crazy and how much this is a fact. Some people can win a lot of their games and end up having to carry players who don’t give one care of winning. Other players can nearly lose more games and be way higher rating and get to have more competent team mates, lose more and still the roles do not switch.

IMO it is something that ANet might be looking into. But at the same time until ANet fixes it. It is just another reason for your Ranked Leader boards in GW2 to look like a complete clown house of a joke compare to other actual PvP games leader boards.

If you lose to lower rated players you lose more rating than if you lost to a higher rated player. If you beat a higher rated played you gain more rating than you would if you beat a lower rated player. Simple as that your win percentage doesnt matter.

It’s not really an “I suppose” thing. You are losing out on two procs. And yes your criteria chance goes up with decimate but it’s tough to keep vuln stacks on someone. Also with the quickness you get a decent amount of lf and healing from boons. Like I said if you see theives your probably better off going chilling if none go for decimate.

Also I don’t think it’s actually a good build its just reallllly fun to play and you can really surprise people.

I’ve had some degree of success. Though I’m kinda starting to lean towards Warhorn for Offhand. We’ll see. Signet of the Locust is also there for movement speed and a tiny bit of healing should you need it. It’s saved me a couple times. Though I feel that if I ran Warhorn, I could drop Signet of the Locust in favor of Flesh Wurm which would also be very nice in conjunction with Spectral Walk for jukes and getting out of sticky situations. Though the condi transfer on Dagger 4 is pretty nice… idk more testing to do in the morning! I already stayed up till 3 AM tonight xD

why double hydro and leech sigils?

Mainly so when I go into Shroud, Spiteful Spirit along with Leeching and Hydromancy just blows up any thief near me. Plus the leeching is decent for sustain.

Also pretty interesting build you got there. Crit chance is a bit too low for my tastes though. :o

OK well you are losing out on procs. As a Necro your Ds counts as a wep swap so there is no point for double hydro leeching. replace one hydro and one leeching and you will actually gain procs.

also if you want more crit all you gotta do is swap out on trait and you gain almost 25 crit chance along with fury which you should be getting from teammates i dont have problems critting. If you want you can also switch to i think its seeker amulet but you lose out on about 4 seconds of quickness and other boons. Also if you want to up the damage you can to the dmg increase trait in spite as well as reaper crit increase from vuln. But i would only swap to that if the enemy doesnt have theives.

That guy has probably been playing harder competition in the games he has played. You have alot of games so it looks as though you fought your way up there a lower division. Not everyone will get into the top 250 and you all have to realize that not all of you are top 10% and everyone is on the same system.

Condi cleanse overkill but bad sustain against power based damage. I face death magic builds very often. They usually melt pretty fast. The whole traitline is just bad for PvP.

A slightly modified power boonstrip meta like in the following link is far superior to your build:

im writing this while i cant go into matchmaking for 20 mins only because the game itself crashed while i was in a ranked game. No not my connection the game itself just froze and i had to restart it.

Well everything’s fine. I restart it and i was back after 1-2 minutes. The game just started so me and my Team won the game easily.

But what now? I lost points? why? Because I was away for 2 freaking minutes because of a freaking game problem that has nothing to do with me??

And then I cant even que because of this ?

I mean seriously the PvP in Gw2 is like not really good and/or in any way able to be in the competivie scene but why do you even ruin this game for us casual gamers who just play to climb a bit and have fun????

In unranked, more or less every fun build can work. In ranked it’s harder to use the Gs because is so slow that if you don’t use CttB you can’t land a single hit in a team fight, the enemy team will focus you and take you down with CC and burst.
But in unranked you can use it and have fun. Not a high level weapon, but still viable to have some fun.
When gravedigger land it’s damage is really huge, the problem is that with the lack of immunity and block skills, if you’re in the middle of the team fight in a medium/high level ranked you will be CCed or die before you’re able to do any real good damage with it.

Made it plat using a gs. Chrono runes and wells allow me to hit using a gs. With the quickness along with a hydro and fire sigil and two other procs make for some hilarious kills.

Terror has been dead for years. Necromancer does not have enough access to Fear to make it worth building a Terrormancer. The most frequent and reliable source of Fear is shroud (Doom/Terrify/Wave of Fear). After that is Reaper’s Mark. Spectral Wall and corrupting Stability are much less reliably proc’d. None of the Fear sources are frequent enough to develop a build around Fear due to all of the cleansing available.

Necromancer would need another weapon with a Fear on it for on-demand availability. The traits could use a rework, too. Annoying your opponent with a short Fear after taking a major hit is just weak.

terrormancer was a condi build not power and its beyond useless now with everyone running 34789264276 stunbreaks and 234723642376 sources of stability.

i only use 1 button to go in shroud and never have this problem. try switching your macro to one key and see if you can take a video recreating the bug. would help if you could also have a key logger visible to make sure your not double tapping.

Well, you’re obviously ignoring my point. But the possibility to chain teleports is there. And it’s stun breaker. And it’s on 30(24)s cooldown which is much less than 50(40)s that thief has. I’d take mesmer’s cooldown before condi clear on second port any time.

To add:
If we were to compare skill for skill like I just did for mesmer then you would see there is a lot of imbalance like this. Two skills or traits that have same mechanic can differ a lot between classes. Some get more some get less, depending on how their class is played and what mechanics it has.
Calling Shadowstep op is really not knowing basics of the game and being salty. Thiefs don’t really have going much for them and few goods skills keep thief alive in what would otherwise be being one-shot scenario. But I guess it’s easy for Necro to talk stupid stuff like op did, he isn’t the one that will get killed by one or two strong attacks. He has effectively 40k HP (minimum) and he doesn’t care most of the time.

If every game can be carried, why do these games happen so often? If players are where they belong, why do they consistently dominate some teams in their division and get destroyed by others?

Is it possible the people with these experiences are actually the minority? If you think about it the people having issues would be much more likely to post about it than the people who arent having problems.
