They don’t split, they go from point to point in a mass ball.

I think if the points were lowered for kills it would stop it….it’s meant to be a first to 500 point system, thus about holding objectives. They just ignore them in a zerg and maintain on average about one, it takes forever for them to win but it means they probably only have 3 live players against them at one given time.

AFKers, quitters will be quickly have their mmr placed where they belong in the start of the season.
This MMR has a snowball effect and it’s unfair, had to play almost 500 games and get groups to reach diamond, and sometimes i play against legend players who have reached with 30+ win streaks their ranks and plays pretty bad, and it’s pretty common to see this.

I realy don’t understand why every f… problem have to be related to thieves. Even in the current meta where a lot of pro thieves have quit the game or have switched to other better performing classes., in every “list your OP class” topic, thieves are listed at the bottom by the majority, many pro teams don’t even use thieves anymore in their roster, a lot of classes can easily deal as much, if not more, dmg than thieves nowadays, but thief is still the answer to any problem this game is affected with.

Not saying theif is op in current meta, but it does make it so no other class can play zerk, and we wouldn’t see as many bunkers. Also my suggestion really isn’t a huge nerf and it would allow theives to win 1v1s against bunkers while slightly reducing their ability to destroy non bunkers.

In lower levels we see strictly rotations, higher we do not. They time their skills.

Against any organize bunker group? It’s tough need to prioritize targets and focus as a group and interupt as many heals as you can, mobility helps too and if you see two of the bunkers on one point and you don’t have it capped just leave

No, it was set out as You can work on the path of Ascension to get the rewards. Not that it is guaranteed that you will get it. You haven’t met the requirements so far so you haven’t received it, everyone was allowed multiple months to achieve the item. If you started late that’s not Anets fault or anyone else’s. There is one more month to try to achieve the legendary, you do show entitlement, I have offered to queue with you as have others you have never pm’d us in game and I have been on everyday almost these last few weeks you are always offline. You haven’t put forth the full effort to achieve what you want but want it given to you.

First, it doesn’t make sense to assert that ANET only promised that everyone could “work toward” the legendary backpack. All of the prerequisite pieces expire at the end of season 4 and there are no real rewards along the way.

Why would anyone “work toward” a reward, if they aren’t going to get it and there’s no real incentive for partial completion? That’s illogical.

Second, I have been PvP’ing on my alt. So if you have in fact called, I didn’t get it. I have teamed and in so doing made it to Ruby.. This keeps me just barely in the running to get the wings next season. I’d be very pleased to duo or team if you are willing.

Some specs and classes are pushed out of the game because some burst specs vastly outperform them, they have absurd amount of damage, sustain through blocks+evades for days.

Being able to completely negate dmg is called sustain also, the devs know this luckily but most players here happily think otherwise.

The idea of “glass cannon” is very skewed …something that can engage/disengage at will, chain stealth/block/evades..is not glass cannon.

Wearing a certain amulet doesn’t make you a glass cannon, the base sustain some professions enjoy atm is insane, that’s why they can afford to use a zerker amulet

Ironically |that skewed thing is what sinked gw2, and what Anet keeps forcing, and why alot of players joke about the game.

That skewed idea makes players being a bit carried w/o knowing it, works like a placebo, and makes players keep playing, GW2 is designed to carry players on metas/gimmicks since they are far easy to play than gw1 gimmicks since GW1 required better timmings and more team workforce, ATM gw2 it isnt a true players skill game, just need l2p what is to much in that skewed ANET mentality, note gw2 pvp is pve only designed classes with some sorta “controled stats” via trinkets. they might change a bit the skills but how class was designed initially is also carried to pvp, ANET should had done pvp classes to work on pve, to avoid future problems and game would be much better than this joke.
It is a way/strategy to keep players playing, they dont care about the rest.

Just because gw1 combat was slower doesn’t mEan it took more skill. I would argue the opposite…. sure in low level pvp you can certainly spam for the win but try that in higher levels and you get crushed… GW2 being faster doesn’t mean there isn’t timing and skill… to me it seems more skill based because you have to think faster and react faster.

I agree. The best solution would be to split the queues again. Solo and team. Unfortunately I suspect ANET will not consider that option. They are stubbornly pushing for group content and Esports.

The reality is that players in this game exclude wherever the game allows them to. This is why high level fractals and raids will always be smallish clubs.

If anet went all team in pvp, it would quickly be off-limits to me and to many others. I’m sure that would please some, but it would make PvP even less relevant than it is now.

I really think that ANet should just go ahead and make PvP team only. This way the game mode can get it’s death out of the way, and people can find something else to complain about on these forums. We all know in the end ANet “is” going to make the game mode require “Pre Made” team to enter ranked.

I really hate that everyone thinks it’s ok for solo players, which are the majority, to have unfair matches against organized teams where the solo players usually get slaughtered JUST so the few teams that are out there can have faster queue times. That’s just not right. Fair match or no match. ( a lot of people go afk in extremely horrible matches where they just get continuously slaughtered anyways) I also saw a post where people said sometimes they don’t even try to win in ranked, most likely because they have a premade team so it won’t be hard for them to raise their tanked mmr back up whenever they feel like it or to win since they have a reliable team to do that with, so some 4 person or under premades make solo players that end up on their teams lose which really makes it difficult for the solo player to win from that point on since they will be getting put on worse teams because of lower mmr. So yea team queue and solo queue REALLY needs to be split otherwise solo players will never get fair matches, and what’s the point in playing in unfair matches where you are just gonna be some one’s crop to be farmed so they can advance while you never will, there’s no point in playing matches like that idc if they offered you a million dollars to compete in such matches, you’ll never be able to win so there is no point in it.

So why is it I can strictly solo Q and still beat full teams? Im not beating esl level teams or anything like that and even if I had a team I wouldn’t win…… but I am beating teams as a solo Q player.

I think EremiteAngel has a point that there’s already lots of condi clears out there already which makes condi duration useful in some situations and not so useful in others.
I think if you went with something like Giver Weapons (20% condi duration) + condi duration food (20%) you’d have 40% condi duration anyway without spending money on trailblazer. The only downside to Giver weapons is the lack of toughness and lack of condi dmg…

Not really. Reaper vs a Daredevil on the same skill level is a fight the Reaper shouldn’t be winning. Reaper vs Berserker, also a tough matchup imo. The one thing Reaper used to have that stood out like a Daredevil’s mobility or Berkserker’s damage was chill dealing damage, and that is now gone.

+1, there are counters to Reapers, just as there are counters to most classes & builds. A good thief will wreck a good reaper especially out in the open roaming world. A good thief won’t die and will kite away to reset fights while you struggle to recover hp. This isn’t to mention one of reaper’s worse enemies is reapers themselves. The same can’t be said for other classes, like scrapper vs scrapper is a fight that’ll never end, or ele vs ele a fight that’ll last forever. But when it comes to reaper vs reaper, someone is guaranteed to die, and there’s a 30-50% chance both will go downstate once before 1 doubles.

OP did great kiting, A+, props to him. I enjoyed the vid as well. Reason I don’t load kiting & juking skills when I roam is because it only takes 1 good thief or 1 decent reaper to ruin your hopes of kiting. Worse if it’s a condi reaper. And I must be cursed because I keep bumping into good thieves and decent reapers.

Ty, and agreed that thieves can be a real pain in the kitten to fight, especially with the interrupts and ability to freely disengage. Spectral wall is pretty amazing against thieves tho, but it takes an effort to bring a good thief down… and their mobility can be a problem. And I also agree on other Reapers… which I hate fighting because most of them have Plague Signet and perplexity which can be annoying, but then again, the build I run has really nice anti-condi and almost immunity to slows. I usually try to bomb the other Reaper with a nice condi burst and then just hide behind a rock or something so they can’t transfer and have to use their heal skill. Ugh… I hate other Reapers (jk).

People in diamond and ruby play each other quite often the matchmaker uses a 15pip range I believe. First tier diamond last tier ruby type of thing.

But like lord hammer showed league rank /= skill.

20% is the standard. That said there are some people in those duel arenas and in wvw dueling that won’t duel you with any lf. Every now and then the threads pop up and my guess is its just so they can say “see look the forums say I should get some lf to start”

Just because a few people on the forums who are VERY vocal want a game where there’s no healing or damage mitigation whatsoever, doesn’t mean you speak for the majority. So don’t pretend like the majority wants their game like that because I’m sure they don’t. I find it very boring when all my teammates run in die in seconds rez and repeat, I find myself going afk sometimes in those kinds of matches.

Virus I’m not sure if you noticed but there are alot of different combinations that are available in wvw and in pve that are not available in pvp. This was implemented as time has gone on pvp is evolving all the time and requires more careful balance. These changes have been made in response to dev and player evaluations of pvp mode to ensure healthy game play. There are still a few bunker options available to you. I hope this helps you understand or at least accept that nomads might be unhealthy for pvp.

I have all the components for scholar runes banked, so it was simply a matter of crafting them. Sure, I could have kept the charged cores for a rainy day, but I looked up and it seemed like it might rain soon, so I went with it.

I like these runes, I can see a big difference. I am doing pre-nerf damage, so that’s nice. I don’t fall down to that low health threshold very often, but when I do the boost is nice. I like these runes better than I like strength runes on my mesmer. I put those in her exotic armor, and I wasn’t impressed with them. I wish I had sold them…lol

the boost isnt below 90% its above 90%, its a dps loss if you go under 90%.

Possibly! I’d still be interested in seeing the results of an “unblockable” build vs one with other shouts. How often does NCSY allow you to finish off someone? How often does it let you transfer conditions you might otherwise not have been able to? How often does it save your bacon? Do you notice the difference in damage with the vuln stacks? Do you wish you had even more condi transfer? Would you rather have another stun break, etc.

yeah i understand it probably isnt the best setup, but if you wanted to make an unblockable build it would be with that shout. NCSY doesnt transfer conditions it just corrupts boons.

and with the right setup you can make vuln very valuable.

True, on the other hand they very rarely come up with anything themselves, rather simply copying another game (or buying the company in the case of Diablo) and then with the exception of Starcraft (which is basically an online modern multiplayer version of an old game called Dune 2000) they dumb it down and make it casual friendly easy mode for the masses, like MOBAs -> HotS, Magic The Gathering -> Hearthstone, EQ,Ultima, etc -> WoW, and so on.

You don’t have to justify or explain anything to them also if you keep feeding them they just keep trolling more cuz no mater how much you feed em they never get full. Do what I do… just point and laugh and let them be.
