Hm your suggestion thing…idk about it. But yeah when i saw the thing about wts tournament i have to say i was dissapointed. Wats the point of having a “huge” competition when there is no competition. Sure other games only have a couple of really great teams, bukittens exciting about their tournaments is that the mechanics of the game, and the competitive nature of the teams makes it so that upsets actually happen and it really is a “who is going to win” not a oh who si going to place second because this one team is definitely going to win NA, or one of these 3 teams is definitely going to win EU.
Spend the money to fix the game, make it a good environment for people to get better, and bring in more players. Then have a real tournament with real competition.
More evidence that people dont actually play the game and just troll the forums smh
I agree its no skill pretty much. Probably disagree how unbalanced it is but I feel like its a type of build that is rewarded too much low skill low risk build should be the weakest type of build.
The following builds take no skill/little skill and I will rank in order of how little skill they take:
1, Staff ele – There is a reason all the newbs play this
2, Shoutbow
3, Power necro – 1 spam and passives
4, D/P thief – 2 buttons = kill anything
5, Hammer dps guardian – like a 3 button combo that my granny could do
6, S/D thief – spam, no cd management
7, d/d ele – takes more skill than those above
8, Celestial engi – pretty much just spam
9, Bunker guardian – the original brainless spec
10, longbow ranger – spamming from 1500 range takes no skillSo that means this whole meta takes no skill. And mesmer is fairly brainless. Porting around like a clown abusing bugs and having perma invulnerability = no skill. Although it does take a little skill I give mesmers that. The bad ones suck alot. But its still too storng vs everything in the game except thief.
do you play this game…at all?
the only thing i have to say i hate about warriors is rampage. The CD is way too small. for example mesmer can use moa to get rid of a rampage but moa’s cd is 180s, goes on cool down if evaded, and can be interrupted. Rampage has a cd of 150s and cant be evaded and is really just a push to win button……on an already easy class. And yes rampage is better than banner in pug groups.
;_; but rifle will be so useless……only place i can see it ever being used is wuvs in order to snipe people, so basically teef will be as annoying as rangers
Id rather get an actually interesting weapon like scepter or focus, then i could be like my old assassin/ mesmer/ w/e back in gw1. Even axe would be better than rifle
Lol and here comes the thieves defending stealth caltrops. Classic.
Yep, those dirty, little thieves! It’s not as though they are limited to just a few seconds of stealth… or one dependable method of condition clearing… or the smallest base health pool in the game.
My goodness, you’d think that they believed you could actually see their location by AoE rings left behind by caltrops!
The sneaky, little buggers even claim to be as squishy as the skritt bombers they try to bleed to death instead of the tanky lord-like beings they truly are!
Rumor has it that the thief profession was based on Chuck Norris, and I believe it. After all, only a thief has the power to kill another thief! I would petition for a nerf, but it has been scientifically proven that such a thing is hazardous for your health!
You seem desperate. I’ll let you get back to your ninjas, but it wouldn’t hurt caltrops to get a damage component to not allow it to be stealth spammed. There’s a reason they gave it to choking gas. Cheap is cheap. You’ll be alright without it, I’d imagine.
Honestly thief is not as hard as it used to be. D/p meta has a ton of crutches with condi removal, a lot of stealth, withdraw etc. S/D felt like a more prestigious build since it required knowing when to dodge (altho ya dodge spam) and you only had a little bit of stealth. The condi s/d build brings down s/d to the level of panic strike since most people don’t expect it and it obliterates many classes if they dont take condi removal.
I want them, but thats all the more reason they shouldn’t be made easier to get.
The way fractal weapons are right now they are not difficult or easy to get. Since it is all up to rng you will never know when you will get one. Its possible to never get the one you want even if you do infinite fractals. That is not a good reward system, it creates a fake exclusivity. The real way to create exclusive skins is to put them as rewards for extremely difficult content. Fractals is the most difficult, but it can still be easily done every day. So the best way to reward them in the current system is to allow players to buy them with pristine fractal relics.
The way i would envision it, is to increase fractal levels to 80, but keep ar req from 50 onwards the same at 70. However, instead of just increasing mob strength also make more complex bosses that are much harder to defeat. The fractal skin merchant would only be available to those with 80 pr making it exclusive and difficult to get to. This isnt the perfect system but it would be better. Altho im pretty sure HoT’s fractal mastery will not be like this and will just be a simple grind like carapace armor skins etc.
(edited by Nyx.7342)
Fractals should not be part of pvp rewards at all. It’s the only “elite” pve content and should remain so. However it should get a hugeee buff in terms of rewards and the abilities to get weapons.
-and yes im a salty pve’r who has not had a single new weapon skin, a tonic, or a useful chest in over a month and a half of fractal 50s
I miss Sharp. He was the best with actually communicating and discussing community ideas. No one has been close to him in those regards. It became much harder to care and share information once he was gone because it all felt like it was hitting deaf ears. But hopefully HoT will just prove that wrong and prove its just less communication. If the job still gets done, at the end of the day I’m fine with it.
I feel like community ideas are really important for any game to take into consideration, and GW2 does a really bad job of it. Not saying they don’t take player ideas, but their communication and openness is horrible. People always make the excuse that they are understaffed, but if they are they can always get ideas from the community instead of being so secretive all the time. I mean CS GO has so much connection with the community. The game started up by the half life community and to this day the community plays a huge part in changes and even cosmetic things like skins. GW2 has none of this stuff even though skins and content ideas are even more important in a PvE and PvP game.
Oh for god’s sake, BUNNY EARS, PLEASE!!!
removing reading glasses and wintersday earmuffs…replacing with wide rimmed glasses and bunny ears!??!?!?!?!?!?!!?
plzzzz anet
In the one case, a group of 5 people is automatically removed from LFG because you cannot add new people to the group.
In the other case, if there are 2 people and one leaves the party, the entire party is now non-existent and a non-existent entity cannot have a LFG posting so it is removed.
Suppressed message is what happens when you have joined and left too many parties recently. It is designed to prevent people from abusing LFG. It should not be triggered after a single incidence of party joining/leaving.
The second case shouldnt happen, and the suppressed messaging makes sense, however it happens to often. With the way servers and events are setup, joining open world parties happens very often and requires a ton of trial and error. They should really raise the cap for when suppression happens. Especially since once you get suppressed every party you join after it lifts suppresses you again if you leave it -_-
Was acting as a taxi for a map just yesterday and was not encountering this. I think you have something additional going on. Where was this and what settings were you using? How many in the group to start and how did you determine your group was removed from LFG?
It only happens if a 5th member joins and then leaves, which cant really be fixed.
Altho you do get suppressed fairly quickly. More importantly i think it’s the inability to join taxis after joining like 3 that is really annoying and should be fixed, especially since clicking on a party and not being able to join bc it has filled up still counts as joining a party and can get u blocked from joining other ones.
Thank you for the exciting weekends! Some really intense matches and ofc tons of fun!
Btw will any of the tournament games be uploaded onto youtube or highlighted on twitch?
I really cant believe how people are kittened because they cant solo a dungeon……
It’s not that hard actually. My pug group wiped yesterday bc guardian failed one shot and a war and i had to duo him from p2 to end. Was pretty easy actually.
Except these are content fixes, not code fixes.
How do you fix content without changing code?
How do you ‘test’ content after you change code?Content is an asset file – e.g. a picture.
Code is how content works: e.g. putting together pieces of pictures moving in different ways (e.g. a weapon with animations for example – similar with a boss and moving joints).
Ok i can understand (not really) that the wall exploit might be hard to fix. But necrid bolt was working fine before the bug. Is it really that hard to fix something that was working before? Or rather does it take this much time? I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume in most scenarios this isnt a month+ fix.
well can you solo the boss? else you’ll probably end up soloing the boss in fotm50 often if it’s fixed.
personally i dont like that pug runs expect glitch abuse. same goes for with mossman. its not that i can or cant solo it, its that people need to stop using glitch abuse as a crutch for their inability to stay alive during cannons.
you can literally group up and push auto run with swiftness on and never get hit by cannons even though every single shot is coming directly at you. there is more than enough time for each person to sidestep every red circle if you dont wanna group up (as is the norm).
if your group is abusing it during a dps phase (and not just recovering from a cannon phase), your group is seriously bad and someone needs to teach your players a little more about what (not) to do.
I do agree with you exploits aren’t great – but it’s not that people are using it as a crutch for not being able to play.
People -myself included- no longer care about the encounters at all. I don’t FOTM 50 for any other reason than that chest at the end of the bonus round.
People glitch because they want to tab out while fighting mossman. They use the Mai Trin res method because they simply don’t care about the content anymore. It’s not even about the challenge or fun. All of this is gone – it’s all about trying to grind the endless grind for your skins or tonic.
Its still a crutch but i dont think its a bad one, and isn’t even comparable to the mossman one. IMO it is a balanced exploit since mai trin is the hardest of the last 3 fractals, and most pug groups will face her after a 40+ min run of other difficult fractals. The only other boss in this game that makes pugs tremble as much is lupicus and he is halfway through a max 40 min dungeon and he is basically the only “hard” boss in arah.
I dont think i would mind this being fixed, since it would prob force pugs to listen to me when i try to stealth them during canons. But if it were to be fixed they should also fix/remove canons and also make sure that when you stealth to rez someone mai’s unblockable projectiles dont aim at you. I don’t understand why out of all the bosses in game she is one of the only ones who can kill you while you are rezzing in stealth far away from her.
Personally I will always be against the way BL skins are handled. The fact that most of the new weapons in this game are released in a way that can only be acquired through the gem store either by straight up purchasing the skin or by buying bl chests to get tickets to get skins is messed up. Also they continue to limit certain items and make them exclusive i.e. old weapon skins basically guaranteeing no one will get them anymore. I wouldn’t mind it so much if we got some weapons in the actual game…..
That being said, It’s not totally bad because you can get the skins from gold or by farming keys. And even though 25$ a ticket is a lot other games have their skins more expensive. In CS all good skins go from 30 – 1000s of dollars. So its not as horrible, but it is bad service and bad content creation (from the players perspective from a business perspective fantastic exploitation!!!!).
By adding a minimum range to wall of reflection – you risk bugging many things (e.g. casting wall via skill bar will drop on the guardian itself : range = 0). I think you understimate the amount of effort required to change this.
Have chatted with many ANET on this (and Lupi mechiancs) – and its not an easy fix as you may imagine.
Is it hard enough to take this long? It’s been a month+ since necrid bolt was messed up and it’s been months since people have been one shotting.
Visually hard to understand what is going on and not exciting to watch no real build up or clutch plays. There are other reasons but I can’t remember atm. People that think making the pvp aspect of the game f2p will suddenly make the esports make me laugh.
Well it can be pretty exciting to watch, just not every round. But i think that is more because of the difference in skill level between teams. For example some of the games tcg has played has come down to lord rushes or some good portal rotations. That can be exciting and can change the tide in a losing match. Also the WTS matches were absolutely fantastic to watch with some brilliant clutch plays. But yes it doesn’t happen as often because unless both teams are equally skilled one can’t really come back.
The big boys of esports, be it Dota clones, or CS, or Starcraft all had 10-15 years to fine tune their core gameplay. Shooters had 20 years of getting it sorted which game modes work and which are less popular. Most of the innovation associated with those games happens with the business model and the promotion efforts that go along with these titles. The gameplay of those games is a wheel that does not require reinventing. GW2 is essentially a new game and tries control points, which has been a rather unpopular mode.
In my opinion, GW2 needs to take that step converting PvP into a f2p experience. Because with each expansion, the cost of getting into PvP is going up, while the costs of getting into every other competitive game is a race to the bottom.
Honestly it makes no sense for them not to go f2p with pvp. Other games don’t do it because of hackers and cheaters. Gw2’s combat system is complex enough that cheating isn’t nearly as viable as in other games. The only possible influx would be from scammers and gold sellers but that can be fixed by creating restrictions on f2p accounts.
Hm i understand the issues of balancing, viewing the game mode, the tournaments etc.
But what exactly is the problem with conquest? And what is a better game mode? I’ve always thought the problem with gw2’s pvp was there was no easy game mode for people to simply practice mechanics. Like In other games you can practice offline with bots or you can play simple deathmatch to work on mechanics. Conquest seems complex enough the way pros play it. Like helseth’s stream the other week where he went over old matches. It was amazing how much thought went into his play. Maybe that is not representative of everyone, but whenever i go up against good premades they know how to shut my team down, or at least it requires a lot of movement to get back up.
1: Thieves
2: Please never use Signet of Shadow in pvp again. Why?
Because it’s useless…. infil signet gives you more initiative, a stun break, and a teleport. Agility signet gives you more crit chance, clears condis, and gives you dodges. Or you can take blinding powder which clears condi’s blinds foes and gives you instant stealth and an extra blast in your black powder.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately since im not sure whether to stick around in gw2 or not. Not that I would ever be esports but just other games seems to have much better support and design for their pvp. Gw2 has one of the best combat systems I’ve ever experienced and even though I hate matchmaking and constantly find myself wanting to play cs go instead of gw2’s pvp, I just cannot find anything as fun and complex as gw2. And yet other games like cs go have more players, and more official events.
Anyways basically lets say Anet were not understaffed and they could make any change that was necessary and reasonable what would it take to make this game’s pvp popular and legitimate.
What does a working chat link have to do with them returning?
In order!
Most fun: Elementalist, Engineer, Thief, Mesmer (every game mode)
Very Fun: Warrior(everywhere), Guardian (fractals only, boring everywhere else)
Not fun: Necro, Ranger
“Don’t jump”
Hmm ok. I will now just stand there with my mesmer while say a thief is attacking me and I won’t try to parkour my way out because yeah, being instantly killed is better than having a slight chance of getting immobilized mid air. Oh, I’ll also miss my phantasms due to obstructed instead of jumping to make them him.L2P
Obviously this person has never played mesmer before or is a kittenty mesmer cuz kiting is all about jumping from place to place. Eremite l2p plox
I’ve heard from everyone I’ve asked that the immob bug is hard to fix since it’s more about base movement functions than simply immobilize. That said it’s been a long time and the fact it hurts classes that have to kite, i.e. mesmer and that their counter, teef, has tons of immobs is kinda messsed up.
Agree, though little tip you can line up your windows to let you just spam clicks… manually, yeah manually spam clicks…
Or bind double click to a button and hold that down
Apparently you can actually block Mai shots with minions… had a guy carry me with his necro one time (same guy who usually carries me with whatever he’s playing).
I’m all for making Duo/Maw more interesting to balance things out, I’d love a less snoreworthy Maw. But I do agree it’s lame to have such a split in difficulty.
I feel like duo is pretty fun as it is. Not too difficult but not boring either. Maw on the other hand is absolute kitten.
IMO they should get rid of the canon phase in Mai trin fractal, and just have an invuln phase where she gets back her stacks. Or even better every 25% she goes invuln and horrick takes over and you have to take him to 25% before Mai comes back. Idk something interesting as long as its not as buggy or annoying as canons.
Then they should fix the aoes in molten duo so people don’t lose half of there health in between phases because of invisible fields (seriously Anet can’t program aoes at all -_-) and maybe buff firestorm so that fight is a little harder.
And then maw needs a total rework, so much should be changed in that fractal. I have a friend who is in a different time zone to the rest of my group so if we ever get maw on our late night fractals he just gets ready to sleep, afk obv, while we finish maw. Fun content right?
the problem with mossman and archdiviner is having hard hitting attacks which are poorly choreographed (or in the case of when mossman stealths, absolutely zero until you get dumped by a bouncing axe out of nowhere). the only reason people know how to dodge them in melee is pre-emptively by knowing the timing (a bit like alpha’s teeth attack, no way you can react fast enough to the cast to dodge it).
This thread is so dam interesting to read.
Mossman and archdiviner are so fun! (well the first archdiviner not the second one) But they are w/e in organized groups, altho most content really is. The second archdiviner is definitely bad since it’s hard to reactively dodge his attacks since i’ve been hit many times when dodging after hte animation starts, pretty sure it hits at the start of the animation.
I would say I enjoy Bosses that move around more fun than stationary ones, and although i agree they shouldn’t be like pvp players since that would end up being more frustrating than satisfying there needs to be something more than orchestrated attacks. I like pvp more than pve because of the fact that not everything can be planned out. The fact that you have to reactively change up your strategy is what makes pvp difficult and it’s something that is missing from pve. No idea how that can be implemented but with a dynamic combat system it seemse necessary to make great content.
Not to mention you can get Keepers gear without paying a dime from raiders chests that drop in fractals.
-_-
10 kittenty chests since my last raider’s one 2+ months ago….You don’t understand I neeeeeeed this keeper’s armor
Adapt to changes in game or perish.
Someone just learned about Darwinism. Dw tho next week he’ll be repping the cult of domesticity!
I have to say the stab changes are really really annoying in pve. Aetherblade fractal already kittenes me off because I have to swap to guard to do it, but now its worse since i constantly get knocked down even with hollowed ground or stand your ground.
Although It does make some sense in wuvs, to make sure people can’t just mindlessly run through other zergs since they have 10s or w/e of stab, it does seem to just benefit the larger group, which is lame since even in wuvs it should be about who’s better. But then again if you are outnumbered by a lot you shouldn’t win…..

Want to be able to customize my wardrobe with different skins, not be stuck with outfits that you get bored of after 1 or 2 days. No fun being stuck with a look that we cant customize at all, or the same wardrobe that we have had for the last year or so
Totally agree
I get they want to have an easier time with clipping and stuff with outfits, but it also seems like they are trying to make as many outfits as quickly as possible. We’ve been getting so many outfits this last couple of weeks/months. Im sure most people would rather they slow down the output and just make armor set versions so they can at least have fun with the outfits instead of dyeing 4 places and checking a box.
@EcoRi: Re run the whole thing, but this time with all 5 party members in PVT. Now no one is getting carried!!! Problem solved.
i would actually rather see him run the same exact tactics with suboptimal pug like settings, than to see 4 man dungeons.
I haven’t had Detha bug out in the Hall of Champions for months aside from one time I was soloing and I let her die during the Flooded Temple event. When this happens, the NPC auto ressurects itself and it gets broken from there. Never had an issue with people being in combat resulting in the NPC not triggering as we run through the middle of the room everytime.
Just don’t let her die during the Flooded Temple event and she shouldn’t bug out at all.
Oh wow didnt know this. I haven’t failed flooded temple in a long time so im not sure if it happened when it bugged for me but maybe. thanks for the info
Just make sure your group runs to the back of the room avoiding the event area.
I haven’t had in bug in over 2 months and the only reason it bugged that last time was because someone who had detha’s aggro ran right through the center. ’
That being said NPCs in this game suck and some of them ruin things so often -_-
Yeah we had a post about this before in the pvp section and everyone showed that it had a five second icd.
But i think most people agreed it doesnt really matter, and then some qq’ers enforced it with their qqing.
Its getting really boring queuing up only to have to switch class just so my team can have a chance. Three times this week I’ve tried to play thief or mesmer just to end up on a team with 3 others of the same class. One time I even went up against a 4 man q who were very organized (only a duo q on my team). We started as 4 mesmers and i switched to warrior even though i suck at it.
It would be nice to first not have to go up against 4 qs but if that has to happen to shorten matchmaking times at least let us have a decent comp….
I have been seeing way more people running vamp runes, its honestly a really annoying rune but i get why they use it.
The better question is why was intricacy iV? Where did the V come from?
Speaking of tag, there is a K missing somewhere in rT, too :O

I’m just kidding. Please don’t kick me, sorrythankyoum8!
LOL that was a good one
Yes but equating it like Rox’s quiver, which was introduced as a skin, and saying that since that’s back, why not bunny ears is wrong. It was never a skin to begin with but town head wear.
Players are phrasing it as if the devs are refusing to flip a switch to drop it into the store rather than admitting that they are asking for something that requires some work to get done.
It’s never have been offered as a skin since it’s removal from the shop with town clothes or since the wardrobe came out. So it can’t return because it was never part of it to begin with.
smh They’ve already converted it to a skin, hence people already using it as one. Also, ear muffs, Festial hat, horns, were all introduced seasonally for the first time after they made the changes. So, please.
I think ear muffs, festive hat and devil horns were armor skins to begin with, not town clothes
Nope. Town clothes.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Town_clothing
Here. Shows all the thing’s that use to be town clothes. Pretty much everything that was town clothes were converted to skins, tonics or outfits. Bunny ears was one of them, at no delay. And the only thing that was never brought back.
Oops! Edit. Aviator and Wide Rim glasses. Those have also never been back in the gem store…From my recollection.
So basically there is no reason these items shouldnt come out……
The reason people care so much is not about solos.
If you cant tell me you dont’ solo arah. I’ll just shut up and move on. Because my guess is most people complaining are probably arah soloers.
I dont solo arah. Haven’t done it in over a year.
and you are right tho most people here probably don’t like the change for solos, but again this isn’t about asking them to change a dungeon its to fix an unintentional bug, so i still don’t get why you are making the argument that they shouldnt balance for solo’ers. My group of pvp and wvw friends don’t do arah at all anymore because they don’t like one shotting and its even harder to get past lupi for them than it was before. So it does affect people who play in groups
(edited by Nyx.7342)
The shouts were never going to be better than Guardian defensive support. Or better than warrior banners. Or better than Shadow Refuge. Or better than Ice Bow/GoS. If your expectation was to replace any of those roles you had unrealistic expectations.
Actually I thought they would make the shouts as strong as warrior group support. That made the most sense to me. the only spot in the meta that can really be taken by another class is the Warriors .
I’m probably trolling a bit and argue for the sack of arguing.
But my point of view is there are dungeon outside of arah. And it seems people only care about it because they are arah seller, or arah is more iconic in some way.
If anet would make a solo version of all dungeon and fine tune them base on class, it would be really nice. Right now the only way to solo some of the dungeon is to get 5 account for example for cof. Since soloing dungeon have become such a big part of GW2, why not push it a bit further.
If Anet think they should fix the bug to make all the solo arah players happy. They could do the same for other dungeon too.
The reason people care so much is not about solos. If they were sellers they would just go do it on guard, or if they solod for fun they would just to it with the bug. People care so much because Arah is the best dungeon in the game right now, especially since fotm has such atrocious rewards. It’s a lot of people’s favorite dungeon and it’s kinda ruined because of this bug. It’s not that it’s impossible to kill him it’s just not as fun as before.
Also the change to the bug has nothing to do with other dungeons. No one is asking them to change the mechanics of a whole dungeon and make it easier. We are asking they revert an unintentional mistake in their coding. your points don’t really make any sense……..
These dev responses are really nice to hear. After a fair amount of silence its good to hear an honest explanation of the stuff so thank you guys!
If it’s so bad that people can’t solo arah. Or if their class can’t…
I doubt every class can solo AC path 1 too. Why is that everyone should be able to solo arah but not AC path 1.
The issue isn’t about whether or not you can solo arah. It’s about the build/class check this bug creates. If you are in a party with no reflects, gl getting past lupi.
I think lupi could use some buffs to make him more active in phase 2 and 3, but this is a bad bug. Lupi was a great boss because you could use almost any build and any class (well you usually had to slot in some survival) and still manage to do him in a party or solo. He was challenging but inclusive. Now he’s exclusive to certain classes and basically begs to be one shot in 99% of pugs.
Ah makes sense, my group is pretty dam shaky :p
I have only heard of it being used in scepter builds, but i kinda hate those cuz either no need to use lh or lh gets left behind ;_;
anyways thanks i guess ill stick with blasting staff and stone splinters
I’m guessing you’re running 64202?
Keep an eye on the vuln, cause you may want to run 66002 for weak spot and tempest if you’re getting good stun uptime. Quick glyphs can also be a real helper for storms or elements(elite). Personal dps difference is minimal, but the vuln makes up for it & is party wide.
So many ifs/buts/maybes in build crafting ;-)
Oh wow im so dumb i just realized that going 66002 is like the same thing as piercing shards since freeze duration is long enough to get a total ice storm -_-
although usually i just run 64202 since vuln isnt an issue and i do fractals mainly but i see what you mean…. yeah -_-
Ah makes sense, my group is pretty dam shaky :p

Have to say im pretty dissapointed with the specialization. I was hoping the shouts would be about sacrificing health in order to bolster party members/ weaken foes, an interplay that’s been missing from necromancers.
It does look cool tho
I’m pretty casual in my knowledge of classes and traits, so even though i play elementalist the most im still not that comfortable with changing builds.
Anyways one of my wvw friends i pve with told me she was using piercing shards instead of vital striking or stone splinters so she could get 20% damage boost. Since I am lazy and just stick to the meta like a scrub i totally looked over this trait. So my question is in dungeons like ac where everything dies super fast is it a good idea to take piercing shards instead of stone splinters or blasting staff if the boss will die in one ice bow or so.
Nemisis showed that necros are great in fractals
If you pause at 4:45 and read the chat you see him humiliating the dead zerkers while he soloes the elemental source.
Wat the heck did i just watch O.o
its funny people are still responding to this…
EcoRI was kidding and i think he was trying to show the problem with the complaints against zerker. In that other thread people were complaining about mobility too. Basically when he said lets nerf swiftness etc. everyone said “no you would be ruining the fun of majority for the sake of the minority”. When you say nerf zerker because i want to play a tank, or a healer, or i want to range, etc… its the same thing of ruining the fun of the majority for the sake of the minority. If your argument is that this game needs build diversity seen through a diversity of roles your change will inherently ruin the fun of others. Creating roles in this game would force people to use something other than zerker and so when five people who all want to play glass make a party they wont be able to complete content that requires roles.
Basically build diversity is fine. You can play anything you want and get through content. Dont complain about zerker and force your build onto people who dont want to play it, play with friends who share your views.
Lastly content changes are needed in difficulty but again not in changing roles. They shouldnt make bosses that force you to use a certain class or build. Gw2 is somewhat good at this aspect, but bosses definitely need to be harder. The hardest content should make players want to run PvT but it should still be doable in zerker gear.
The troll is real
Good laugh!
