Okay, this doesn’t affect me; however, I find it necessary to comment.
Other than obvious bug fixes, existing armors and even weapons should never be changed. Spend your time designing new things and leave the existing alone. People who like them use them and people who don’t, don’t.
It’s quite scary if we need to pay attention to every suggestion or request made by anyone because some designer might listen to and use that as an excuse to change something we like.
Again, this needs repeating, if we’re using something it is because we like the way it looks so please leave it alone. And, if you see a demand for a changed version, then make a new one that’s a variation of it.
Yea my t3 medium looks terrible now. It was dyed perfectly before the update and now the colors don’t blend as well as they used to. If you put anything bright it stands out way too much :/
I play melee 100% of the time, but I force anyone else to melee. Every fight in arah can be done as melee or ranged. Everyone has their preference and has to deal with the risks of each. If someone who prefers to range, died while ranged, they would have probably played worse as melee cause it’s not their preference. Let people play the way they want.
I honestly hate when someone who doesn’t melee ever, follow me into melee range just because they see me doing it, and die repeatedly cause of it. And I hate when someone tells me to range cause they don’t think melee is possible, cause they can’t do it. Just let people play the way they want and deal with the risks of their decision. Then again, I’m also someone who doesn’t get mad if someone dies or if the group wipes, and I don’t see it as any more of a waste of time, than actually playing the game is.
I’ll try to explain it again:
Some people preferred to farm cof1 hours daily to get thousands moneys.
Other decided to give up rewards and just farm fractal 48 with 45 AR (with 55 is already easy….).
Now players that played little fractal feels entitled to rare SKINS.
You know its like deleting 6 months of farming for some players and just giving free moneys to Others?
Basically its a big slap in the face to whoever played fractal despite the awful rewards….and at least got a skin.
Totally unfair…. and has 0 reason to be done….since rare skins are supposed to be in the game since manifesto.

As said even 166 would be way too easy…because that is calculated on level 48 and you get pristines at 10+
The rng is a total excuse….as i proved people wants easy skins.
I have been doing Fractals 48 daily for the last 2 months, and not daily before that. Started long before 55 ar. recently stopped cuz i got a new job. Still no greatsword for me so i welcome a change even if it means all my farming was unnecessary! I dont care lol. Honestly, if a new way to obtain them was implemented im happy for the other players that don’t have to farm forever like some people to get the weapon they want. They will enjoy the game more and not suffer terrible rng. Your logic is because i had to suffer rng everyone else should too. meh… Also, if they introduced 50 pristine for a relic(not saying its my first choice but) Your farming would not have been wasted. You still have the weapons you wanted and saved 50 relics since you alrdy have them. Leaving room for you to buy other weapons you dont have yet. You also have a headstart on pristine relics which im sure you have many saved up in your bank.

Since they want to preserve the luck of people who drop a precursor….why should they totally disregard people that run fotm with 0 rewards for skins?

If you look at all the stealth nerf they made in fractal they are clearly supporting fractals.
The issue is all they do is against players but they stealth buffed mobs and bosses almost each patch.
Afaik they solved the cliffside arm seals respawn also at least.
The real issue is at least if i worked towards infinite light. I would eventually get the skin 100%. And chances are i would probably get it faster than the fractal weapon i want doing 48 everyday. I may never get the fractal weapon i want. I dont have endless hours to spend in fractals running 48 multiple times a day on different chars. And you get a bad taste when you hear about someone who got the fractal greatsword on their first couple of runs. When you have been doing runs daily with no sword to show for it. Even if you craft a legendary you can at least be sure you will get the weapon in time. No assurance for your work and time you put in=no fun.
just salvaged 121 exotics with Black Lion Salvage Kits, paying close attention to ectos that came out. not a single 4 or 5. I’ll keep going but will probably post further results tomorrow due to cost. I did get 176 ectos, though, so that’s higher than expected (1.45 instead of 1.25). today was a good day

It wasn’t recent. From what i remember last time I got 5 ectos was before the ascended update. But i know for a fact I have gotten 5 ectos before. Maybe they did change it.
I’ve never got 4 or 5 ectos from an exotic. I believe that is a rumor someone started a year ago that’s never gone away (or maybe that’s how it was during beta but then it got changed?). I go by 0.9 ectos from MSK for rares and exotics, then 1.25 ectos from BLSK for rares and exotics. What I observe is close enough that I assume it’s most likely the same rates for both (from salvaging thousands of rares and hundreds of exotics with both kits)

. i do agree that having a ticket drop would ruin the prestige factor of these skins
i think by having the fractal skins sell for something like 50 pristine relics for 2hand and 40 for 1h would be fair, though. in this case, the only people that would be able to afford the skin they want are those people who have done kittenloads of dailies for them. i think everyone wins in this case.
I disagree with having a ticket drop would ruin the “prestige”(not that i care about the prestige). You still have to go into fractals to get the weaps and chances are still low on lower lvls. It would just save people loads of time where they can be doing other things in this game. Instead of making money in dungeons i spend about 45mins in fractal 48 everyday hoping to get the weapon i want. I get no other reward out of doing fractals and about 95% of the time i get nothing or a weapon i can’t use. It’s just ridiculously time consuming! I’m really hoping they make some good changes to fractals next month.
I’m all for having them tradeable through pristine relics though!
I never thought of kodan as being a fan fav more than tengu. From what I’ve seen on forums tengu is more popular, and I think there will be a good chance for tengu to make it in.
How about they slow us to use underwater weapons on land. I’d like to use a spear on land. Could be a good power wep.
I would like this too. But now that chiroptophobia is out i cant shake the idea of necro with greatsword lol. I want bats flying around me! Their also many nice greatsword skins that would look perfect on necro.
It already saves 4 pet names, 2 on land 2 in water, do you really switch them around that much? I mean sure you might have a pair for wvw or dungeons, but generally I keep the same 2 in place otherwise. Can always keep one of the swaps as your faithful named pet and use the other slot for trying stuff out. I can kind of see why they don’t do it for dozens and dozens of pets, I mean that’s alot of data to keep for a 3 second inconvenience to people once in awhile. I’d love for it to happen don’t get me wrong, the more convenient the better, I can just see why its not high on the priority list.
I dont switch them around that much. Generally keep jaguar and lynx. Reason being though is because i don’t want to rename them lol. If you could switch pets and they kept their names i would switch them waaaay more often.
Sooooo, if you don’t like the achievements you dont have to do them. There is plenty of other stuff to do in this game. Given time i’m sure they will release content with achievements that appeal to you. The past 6 months content updates they have been mixing it up a lot in my opinion. I’m personally hoping they add in another zone like southsun cove when november comes around, along with fractals update. I’m having fun with the achievements available right now though.
I’d like to be able switch pets without renaming them over and over again. This is a utility i feel should have been in since the beginning of the game. Juvenile(insert animal) is lame.

No telling exactly what it’ll go up to. Most likely 5 tickets per skin as that’s commonly the price of the skins after their introductory period, but there are exceptions (Sclerite are 4 / skin and Fused are 7 / skin, I believe).

The ticket cost will increase to 5 after probably around a month. All the BL weapons are like that since they added the tickets.
If you can confirm that they will cost more tickets eventually that would be very helpful. Cause in that case i will be buying both weapons now.

Well thats your choice that their not usable. Every back item thats been released someone has found it useful and wearing it :] . ii guess the same can be said for the new mask tho

Bakpaks r more unique and different. Going from wings, to dream catchers, to steampunk. def need more variety. We have a ton of masks alrdy in game and none of them r really that distinguished.
Also have the fractal capacitor fully upgraded on my guard but…U dont have any alt characters? I have alts and theres not enough awesome back items for all of them(both pve adn pvp armor need back items!)
Since the animation is not really that flashy compared to SAB and regular finishers it would be nice if the laugh was a lot louder. It’s also the reason why i converted gems to get it.

I have builds for both power and hybrid/conditions. If no one else is playing conditions then i will switch to it. I feel it offers a lot of support(weakness, chill, regen, powerful aoe) and is less squishy than my beserker build. I havent done the math but it seems my hybrid/condition build isn’t too much weaker if not on par with my power build with damage. I think i might test that out today.
Similar thing was happening to me, except population didn’t matter i would just randomly crash. I had to remove my nvidia card and play on low settings :/ . At least i can play now though
1. Not sure if this has been brought up yet but in TA foward path when you have to kill the archers behind the shields by going through portals. Sometimes when you go through a portal your character will not be portaled for like 10 secs, then when your character is finally portaled you are randomly downed without touching the shield or dieing from damage.
2. In COF path 1 there is a bug at the fireboulders where you need to get 3 flames across to open the door. Sometimes the boulders are invisible and you can only see their shadow moving.
Blood is power is a nice underwater skill and u can transfer the bleed on you with underwater life blast. Underwater death shroud in general is just awesome.
I have to disagree with you about back items not being fun or desirable. That is actually the reward i look foward to the most in each update cuz i hav 4 alts that need back items for both pve and pvp. IMO there is not enough variety of back items right now. And i do want them to keep releasing more. They really just bring my characters looks together. but i would also like it if they released more armor as well as back items!
That’s dissappointing to hear. I’ve been taking a break from pvp until i can get my computer stuff together so i dont hav to play with a wireless mouse and bad graphics card. I made it to rank 34 or so playing normally(both hotjoin and soloque). Apparently everyone is surpassing me by farming :[
She may not be a villain sue yet but she’s dangerously close, and already over used. I would classify her as a typical recurring Anime/Cartoon villain. With a personality about as deep as a cookie sheet.

More back items plz! 3 of my characters need back items that will match them. I do think anet should come up with more new modeled back items instead of reskins. and as lucky said we need capes :]
I told you it was the card, but if it’s hardware or software is unknown. Also, when uninstalling the drivers, don’t use driver sweeper, use the default uninstall, this is not the 90’s anymore, even AMD has far improved uninstalls, and driver sweeper has been known to cause problems.
You also did not give full specs or model of your computer or list GPU temps, if you don’t supply info and just come back with “I yanked it out” no one will be able to help you. You are hoping that this is a problem gw2 has, when it is probably a hardware or software conflict or corrupt install of something.
Srry tried to giv u what u needed to help but im not computer smart, in fact im a total noob which is y i didnt provide u with full specs and used driver sweeper . And i took it out cuz i wanted to play gw2. And yes im hoping that its an issue that will be resolved by gw2 or nvidia as my graphics card and comp r fairly new. The newest update to my nvidia geforce card caused my game to start crashing not sure if the problem is gw2 or nvidia but you should try taking out your geforce graphics card and using your onboard graphics card. If your game stops crashing after that you had the same issue as me. I’m playing on my crappy onboard card and low settings for awhile until there is a fix.
Also should mention, rolling back to a previous geforce driver didnt work for me. Even after a driver sweep. So just try removing it.
I found that the “GeForce 320.18 Driver WHQL 320.18 May 23, 2013” drivers have been the most stable for my card. It is a Geforce GTX 675M.
I rolled back to version 314.22 which searching online suggests it is one of the more stable driver updates. Yet my comp still crashed, this is y i say just test it by removing the graphics card.

Does not matter if you have the newest, you uninstall and reinstall. The install the first time might have been bad. What are the GPU temps under load?
Yea i did a driver sweep then uploaded the drivers again but it still crashed. i figured out its the nvidia graphics card. I removed it and now gw2 doesnt crash. So im playing for now on low settings hoping the problem will get fixed in an update.
My video card and directx are both up to date. My specs are windows 7, 4gb, 64 bit, Intel® core™ i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz, graphics driver is nvidia geforce 430 version 320.49.
It’s weird that it only crashes during gw2, it has never once crashed when not playing gw2 =/

ok sadly my comp started crashing again. I was able to play a lot yesterday without any crashes but today it now crashes everytime i play within 5 mins. I cant figure out how to post the minidump file as i cant attach dmp files. I cleaned my computer since but its still crashing.
so i havent been able to convert the mindump file yet so i can post it on the forums( was gunna ask my bros help to do that). but i left gw2 running yesterday and it didnt crash!!!!! I didnt change anything since the last time it crashed so i have no idea what was up. But im happy i can play again :]
So recently my comp has been crashing everytime I play GW2. I’ll be able to play from anywhere between 10mins-3 hours before it crashes. The screen will go black and the sound wll beep all crazy and then the comp will restart. Windows shows me the problem and says its bluescreen then shows a bunch of bcc codes which i have no idea what they are. So far i have scanned my system for viruses, reinstalled windows 7, reinstalled my graphics nvidia driver(and updated it), and reinstalled gw2. I have no idea what else i could do that might fix this. Really love this game though and would appreciate some help to fix it. I have almost no money, so paying to get it fixed or buying new parts is not an option right now =/
edit: should mention my comp has been running gw2 fine since release. and the computer itself is only 1 & 3/4 years old.
Oh no. Last Gasp is arguably the best minor trait we have. The Protection is always relevant when it goes off and the life force gain almost always is.
If something or someone actually hits u after it goes off. For me it often procs and i dont even get hit while its active(in pve moreso than pvp).
I hope they rework death magic minor traits. I want to be able to get staff traits(for condition build) and have somewhat useful minors.
On a side note i dont really like soul reaping minor traits either except for grandmaster. Maybe they could rework those 2? The spectral armor at 50% always procs at the worst times and i often get no benefit from it =/
