for people saying purchase gems to buy charged lodestones(second poster i believe), right now 20 dollars gets you 32 gold. some of the items will take you over 1000 gold in cores/lodestones to make. thats about 312 dollars for a non legendary item that just takes alot of cores. thats 2-3 years of a subscription on another game. think about it..
I’m 110% sure he was being sarcastic, mate.
:P
Do you even lift, bro?
Yeah, freaking swing sounds.
Awesome nontheless.
Do you even lift, bro?
I just think it would seem sorta stupid that a piece of living rock gets “harder” because he/she draped a robe over himself.
Also, I just noticed that Ogden isn’t exactly naked: the clothes he wore as he turned to rock turned with him. Seems rather.. non-changeable, that outfit of his.
Do you even lift, bro?
You’re missing my point: they would not offer any protection over what he already has.
Do you even lift, bro?
You seem to miss my point entirely.
Swing and a miss, Gilly.
If I could farm Charged Lodestones like I could any other, I would. However, you can’t. That’s why the price is out of wack.
Do you even lift, bro?
No, they breed, then get slaughtered. How else would there still be Norns around?
I don’t think you read my post all the way through…
Do you even lift, bro?
The imbalance between the Lodestone types is ridiculous. Currently these go for roughly 4g and that’s because they are a royal PITA to farm.
I desperately want to make Mjolnir, but it requires a total for 350 Charged Lodestones – that’s 1400g for the Lodestones alone! All because they are so much harder to get than other Lodestones.
How is that fair? You see tons of people with Volcanus running around, but there isn’t even a single Mjolnir up for sale on the TP.

The problem with Guardians is that most of their healing is centered around themselves. This makes them great at supporting other melee professions fighting alongside them, but not so much for healing in general.
Do you even lift, bro?
How do you deal with armour for a race whose skin is turned into hard rock? Why would a Dwarf Elementalist bother to wear flimsy robes over his rock hard exterior, for example?
Do you even lift, bro?
Do you even lift, bro?
Elementalist for sure. Water Attunement+Staff.
It is the only class with strong enough Heals to be considered a reliable healer in my opinion. I think it is 3 on the Staff when you are attuned to Water; this ability heals an incredible amount even without any Healing Power items. I often use it on my glass cannon Elementalist when I need to regain my health. If it scales decently with Healing Power, I can only imagine it on a “real” support Elementalist.
Plus when healing isn’t needed you can go Earth for control with Immobilize and Cripple, or Fire/Lightning for some decent damage.
Do you even lift, bro?
If you don’t mindme asking, what exactly are your gripes here?
I’ve done the entire story so don’t worry about spoiling anything…
Do you even lift, bro?
The most frustrating thing is everyone will say “just use a bow.” I made a Rogue because I wanted to stab people with knives. If I wanted to use a bow all of the time I probably would have made a Ranger. :p
Haha, yeah that’s exactly it! Plus, 1 on the Shortbow has this annoying bounce feature. I really wish it was optional, perhaps with a toggle. Sometimes it is highly inconvenient.
Like when you hit a mob you’re not supposed to and wiping your party.
Do you even lift, bro?
It is hardly a sensitive issue. One of the main characters in the story is a lesbian vegetable for crying out loud. When I said “iffy” I meant that the lore is somewhat contradictory.
Do you even lift, bro?
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the mobs in Orr are highly annoying. They spam Stuns/Knockdowns, and if you try to ignore them they Pull you and Immobilize you. Think you got away? Think again, you are also constantly Chilled and/or Crippled. Trying to get anywhere in Orr is an experience that can be simulated by someone taking your keyboard away from you for a short while every 10-15 seconds or so.
The only way I see Orr being popular is a total redesign of the Risen there to make them challenging end-game enemies who don’t have to resort to these cheap tricks that adds “artificial difficulty” to them.
The only reason I go there are for Omnomberries (and the occasional Exploration run of Arah) and I don’t stay any longer than I have to.

In the words of Wayne:
Excellent.
Those are some welcome additions (well, one is more of a fix rather than a addition) but still!

The secondary is for when you attack from Stealth.

Hear, hear.
To be fair, they really should have several variations of the same Legendary that you get to pick from when Zommoros gives it to you so that after all that work you get one with the stats you want.
Do you even lift, bro?
Alloy: True but whats the incentive to run explorable when you can facepwn through story? The rewards are the same. I would just run Arah story, and never ever ever touch arah explorable.
On the other hand, HoTW story path (as well as other story modes) are far worse than their Explorable cousins.
EDIT: Plus, you’d limit your Tokens per day severely: 20-30 vs. 180+Wonderous Bags
Do you even lift, bro?
(edited by Oglaf.1074)
Throw in 20-30 Tokens upon Completion once a per reset period.

Well, Beowulf was Swedish so…

I cannot count the number of stories in which a powerful warrior (read: fighter of mundane weapons like swords, axes, hammers, shields, and bows) defeats a powerful wizard in one on one combat – and the wizard is not caught unaware.
How many of them are not Conan the Barbarian?
Do you even lift, bro?
From the second I talked to her I figured it out on day one, really.
Do you even lift, bro?
I’m pretty sure it adds, so you’d get +30% stun duration. This is a hot topic of 1H weapons versus 2H weapons and whether or not its balanced.
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t.
Sigils in the off-hand only affects attacks made by the off-hand.
That’s incorrect because a sigil of fire on an OH will proc with the MH auto-attack.
IIRC, having 2 of the sigils simply increases the chances you have of it proc’ing. However, if one proc’s, the other won’t until the internal cooldown works. (i.e. No matter which sigil proc’s the effect, both go into interna cooldown mode). It’s generally reccomended to use 2 different sigils.
Are you really sure about this? That doesn’t seem fair to Two-hand users.
Do you even lift, bro?
I don’t know what you consider “powerful” but in my book it is all about what they can do. It does not matter that a single bullet fells a “Wizard” caught unaware because said “Wizard” can still move mountains and stuff, which no “Warrior” or “Thief” ever could.
Do you even lift, bro?
It would be a lot better if the preview window could be toggled from “Idle” to “Combat” stances at will.

It’s because they weren’t given any hair because they are supposed to be wearing helmets in the cutscenes.
Known bug, will prolly be fixed next patch or something.
Do you even lift, bro?
Lore-wise: Norn or Charr.
Advantage-wise: Human (friggin OP Hounds of Balthazar).
Do you even lift, bro?
I guess that could work. I’d really like for it to be a Blast Finisher though. The animation is totally right for it.
Do you even lift, bro?
To be fair, Jormag kitten-up a lot more races than Kodan.
Do you even lift, bro?
It isn’t really fast enough to stack Vulnerability though, especially since we’re just talking the third swing.
Do you even lift, bro?
Paired with the Guardian, that would be incredibly OP.
Retaliation being applied to everyone in range that quickly?
I’d say make skill 5 a Blast finisher though, along with Mace skill 5 (the Straight line KD)
Funny thing is that the Guardian can already spam Retaliation like that.
Just use 2 and Leap into your own Protection circle created with 1.
The 1 ability with the Hammer for the Warrior really is in a sorry state in comparison.
Do you even lift, bro?
OoooOOOOoooo…
Quaggan is interested to see how this turns out.
Considering that Legendaries are supposed to be upgradable in the near future…
Do you even lift, bro?
I humbly suggest ‘quaggan’.

Never said it was perfect, but it is making the best out of a bad situation.

I know you’re desperately hoping for our answers to be wrong, and I sympathize, but look at it logically: it is how transmuting works.
As I said, transmute the a blue and green item and the same thing happens.
Do you even lift, bro?
…oh, and if we want the dwarves’ help against Primordus, we’d probably not be doing the right thing by making friends with their hated former slaves.
A large portion of those dwarves are Deldrimor dwarves not Stone Summit.
Also, they’ve been “alive” 250-300 years and have basically spent all that time fighting dragon minions. I really doubt that they care about the dredge any more.True enough, but I would still imagine the Dredge would attack -them- given the chance. And the current playable races attacking dwarves whilst they are fighting Primordus just because their new Dredge friends say to would be… Nonsensical, at best. :P
Not sure about that. The only Dredge that hate Dwarves are already hostile towards the player regardless of race. The Dredge you ally with are revolutionaries after all, and an enemy of my enemy is a friend.
Do you even lift, bro?
Please, pretty please, make it a Blast Finisher.
PLEASE.
It is so lackluster in comparison to the Guardian third swing which grants AoE Protection to everyone in melee near him/her.
Do you even lift, bro?
Not a huge difference, but the third Hammer chain for Warrior has a larger radius and considerably faster casting time than the Guardian version (even when traited to produce a larger symbol).
I’d trade it all for spammable Protection still.
Do you even lift, bro?
Maybe the Dragons ate the Gods and absorbed their powers, voodoo-style.
Do you even lift, bro?

The Dwarves are all “dead” are they not?
Do you even lift, bro?
The damage trait is also rather iffy.
You’re really not hitting disabled targets that often.
Spinebreaker, for example, hardly knocks the enemy down long enough for you to even get one hit in on them as they are disabled.
Agreed. I personally think it should be changed to +10% damage, and an additional +15% damage against disabled targets.
And the 1-1-1 third hit should have SOMETHING. Either a blind, or a 33% blast finisher… something.
The Guardian third hit makes me green with envy:
AoE Protection near the point of impact.
Warriors could definitely get something for their third hit, ideally something offensive rather defensive to contrast the Guardian.
Do you even lift, bro?
You just have to do what every other Warrior does these days:
Equip a Greatsword.
Let mobility be your defense.
Do you even lift, bro?
And more potential loot!
Personally, I hate when people I am with skip mobs.
Do you even lift, bro?
It used to be rare. Very rare. When I farmed for my entire HoTW set+a couple of weapons I only had it happen 2-3 times. Recently though its been happening more often than not, to the point were people (myself included) suspect Anet deliberately made it so.
Do you even lift, bro?
Well, unlike the Lord of the Rings, the wizards are humans. In Lord of the Rings the wizards were powerful beings that were brought into human form.
Lord of the Rings was just the example I thought most people could relate. We could also talk about DnD and people like Elminister and Kelben Blackstaff.
Do you even lift, bro?
No, don’t mix PvE with sPvP, Gift of Battle is for PvE legendaries.
Your point is null and void considering WvW apparently plays such a big part in getting a Legendary. Last time I checked, WvW was PvP and not PvE.
Honestly, I think adding badges to sPvP would be great as then you’d actually have to do battle for your Gift of Battle, rather than just jump.
Do you even lift, bro?
It is like saying “Mining isn’t the only way to get Ore” because you can Salvage for it. While technically true, it doesn’t change the fact that all other ways of getting Badges is inferior to the Jumping Puzzle.
