This x1000, its pretty much how all my matches have been going, and im far from the best at pvp, so I know my team is awful when im the top scorer on the team, maybe F2P accounts need locked out of pvp until they are level 80 and know how a class works.

Ok the map was as follows, both teams had both gates broken, my lord was at 50% and was untouched for the last 2-3 minutes of normal time, as soon as OT started the enemy team retreated to there base and all sat on the lord, we downed there lord 3 times but couldn’t get the finisher off due to the fighting, the overtime timer went to about -01:10 and then it awarded the win to the enemy team,

The system is flawed if when overtime comes a team an go sit in there base and basically kill you on a choke over and over, and get the win.

OT should be set so that the lord started losing 1% health every 5 seconds, meaning the team sitting there in the base zerging the enemy team attacking will not win, as it stands there is no reason to attack the enemy lord if you have the ability/team setup to basically hold your own base and wait for the points to come to you.

I see the match making hasn’t improved any, I seem to get 1 great team where players know what there doing, them BAM 15 games where the players might aswell be running around in circles, it cannot be that every team I come up against is randomly made up where every player every time knows what to do, and where to be, and my team has 2 players that stand at look at each other, its actually starting to put me off PvP.

That seems kind of flawed then, as all a team has to do if they are losing is sit in lords room as soon as OT hits and camp it, that choke point at the entrance can destroy a team in seconds.

On the new map, when it enters overtime how exactly does it decide who wins and loses,

Just had a match there that went into overtime, we had there lord downed 3 times, but the enemy team just zerg balled up into the lord room and sat and waited for us, our lord never had any combat in the last 5 mins of the match, yet we still lost the game.

So can someone please explain how we lost when we downed there lord 3 times, did more damage overall, yet still lost in overtime?

That seems stupid to have overtime if you can do most damage and the enemy team wins by zerging up on there lord and waiting.

Agreed, came up against one today, it just stood there and soaked up the damage we got it down to about 20% health then suddenly it had every boon known and health was full, and it ran off, there is tanking then there is this.

Glad that you got the outcome that you should have had in the beginning, I also find it kind of scary that someone in support basically said to bad, and if you had no pushed it on, you may not have gotten your account back, I hope whoever is in charge of support, pulls in the original person whom dealt with your case and retrains them.

They have, in the past, closed accounts for fraud keys, and let the customer purchase a new key to apply to the account to fix the issue. Do as Chris said and continue to talk to support.

Offer to purchase a new key Hot key, since Anet can’t refund that key (thus remove it) as they didn’t sell it to you. That is how previous posters with this issue have fixed it.

This is the best advice on this topic, you got caught out by a fake website, ankittene key, it happens, not everyone is tech savvy and can tell a fake site from a real one, some people are to trusting, after all there are a lot of sites out there claiming to sell HoT now, you should ask them if you can buy a real key directly from them and have them apply it to your account,

Its completely bizarre that support would tell you after years of playing, to bad your account is banned go buy another copy of the game, without offering you the chance to buy a real key to keep your account in good standing.

Ive noticed this also ingame, that the match up’s are really stacked, im on an 8 match losing streak now, every match starts the same then suddenly BAM where 200 points down,

Tonight match me and 1 party member had 4 of the enemies at there home, and yet no one else was doing anything, 1 member spent 90% of the match dead, how can that even be possible.

Kinda giving up on the sPvP for now, I just don’t have the patience to get slaughtered match after match because 1 or 2 people would rather run in circles in the base.

If you take 10 mins for the battle, and say 15 mins waiting on the map before spawn, to get what, a bunch of greens, a few rares, that dam spoon, with a tiny tiny chance at something decent, says it all,

Sadly in the same 25 mins, I could have joined a FGS, CS or SW farm and got way more reward/loot.

The sad sorry state is that if they made this event harder no one would do it, the rewards are terrible, and the Triple Trouble event is following suite fast.

The last thing we need is having to go through the same thing we ’re going through in the fractals were people switch around traits, gear, abilities and weapons from boss to boss.

Why do you think Legendary Armor is coming, so that builds can be changed on the fly, to make people change from zerker god mode only, this will also be backed by the new fractal system which will force people to change builds,

The entire skill/trait system is designed so that you have to adapt to the current battle, locking skills/traits would be a bad move and completely against the current, trait/skill setup system.

Don’t listen to these people telling you to go find a new game, that’s what kills MMO’s and you are unlikely to come back, if you are 100% bored then yes move on,

AP’s are easy to get, unless you are a solid WvW player then meh,

After HoT is released you will have pre-cursor crafting so you Legendary hunt can begin.

As for the forge don’t let 500g upset you, ive had well over 20,000 into that thing, granted ive had pre’s in return but my most recent run of bad luck extended nearly 4,000g, so all is not lost on that front.

WvW players don’t get rewards or loot, why change something that hasn’t changed in 3 years.

Anyone remember the last Wintersday event where the instanced content was you getting thrown in with 4 other random players, well is this how the raids will work, is it an instanced event where you get randomly assigned a team of 9 other players, or can you actually make your own team and enter it.

Ok, so the core game is going free to play, I read about the restrictions to these accounts, and that’s all good, it encourages people to play the game and maybe move on and buy HoT, so far so good,

There is no doubt that making a F2P game will encourage the masses of bots to reappear into the game, my concern is, if these accounts are played as normal to level 80 and then end up in places like the Cursed Shore, Silverwastes, etc, what exactly is your plan for that, as I think some zones in the game have been nerfed to within an inch of there lives with the loot drops, and masses of bots, may lead to even more nerfed loot drops.

Please don’t nerf our loot, its already been battered so badly its lead to mindless drones running around SW, and don’t push all the loot into the new PvE maps, don’t forget about the other end game content zones, FGS, CS, DT, SW……

The Legend is only currently sky rocketing because anet has announced that Thief is getting staff, it was the same when the Bow went to Guard, that is why others are dropping, I expect to see the Rifle fall off the chart before HoT unless Anet say something, it was the same for Chaos Gun after the nerfed traits on Thief, it became way less attractive to have.

I expect to see, Pistol, Rifle, Shield, ( and underwater weapons ) to completely fall off the radar.

Where I do feel for what you lost in the forge, ive seen this story before.

Anet are unlikely to put this feature into the game, the main reason being the Forge removes massive amounts of gold and mats from the game very very fast, this in itself can control the market, if you had no other way of doing this the market would crash fast,

Another reason being that if you had to turn this feature on and set a password, can you imagine someone playing the game, getting up to go grab a drink etc, and a friend jumping on real fast and setting a password up for a joke, and not telling them, or someone doing it and forgetting the password later, what would them people do, BOOM contact support asking for it to be removed, and Anet support don’t really need that extra hassle.

Long story short, the forge does its job, and does it well, and you are not the first to lose a lot in the forge and will not be the last to do so either, if it makes you feel better ive thrown in way more than what you posted about without a return.

The 750Ti even if the OP could get it and get it working, it would bottleneck that older CPU, so its a waste, and as GW2 is heavier on the CPU than GPU, they may be spending money now that they will have to spend again later when a full upgrade comes around.

His current CPU was discontinued in 2010,

The only saving grace here is that CPU is a great overclocker if you are comfortable with doing that, if not I strongly advise you do not waste money.

You cannot do a CPU upgrade, the 775 socket it along time retired, unless you can pick up someone who has an intel chip on maybe ebay or something for that socket, but from any major retailer you are going to be really really hard pushed, that in itself brings another host of issues,

You are going to be very limited on any GFX upgrade also, espically the newer cards on the PCI-E x16 cards, the RAM has all moved forward since the 775 socket too,

My best advice here would be, if your current system can play the game, keep it at that, until you can save enough to completely replace the entire thing, as upgrading or trying to find the parts to upgrade now will end up costing you more in the future.

Actually the Galrath quest was worth 4,000 xp back in the day, the quest itself was pretty dam hard back then, ( im talking before heros, and other skills from Factions and Nightfall ) the bog standard skillset back then made this a hard quest, in HM it was worse, then if you really wanted a challenge ( pre Discord/Sabway ) you did this in HM with the peacekeeper quests up.

If you do /age and its older than 1095 days and you didn’t get the gift, you will have to contact support.

Exotics do give a higher chance, but the only reason they give a higher chance is because when you use 4 rares, you roll the entire rare loot table and the exotic table, when you use 4 exotics you only roll the exotic table, thus resulting in a higher chance, other than that, its purely down to RnG.

I don’t really see how it would be an issue for the music instruments, given that using a macro to play them does not give you any bonus/unfair advantage over any other player playing the game,

All it really does it allows you to play said tune/tunes without making a mistake.

I think some people need to know the difference between hacking and exploiting poor map design where people can teleport threw rocks and or jump up and over walls, the video which was floating around YT there recently the person showed how to get under the map in EBG, no hacks where needed, personally I didn’t even know the area existed until I seen the video, but hopefully the new feature will stop people getting under the map, im sure Anet has tested this update.

I guess this really depends on how close you are to the legendary, if you are still along way off from making it then I would just hold off on the clovers etc and work on farming mats etc, Spirit Shards also drop randomly throughout the game.

I agree that the change for Spirit Shards was pushed into game a little bit to early, they should have allowed you to continue getting them from levelling up past 80 until the expansion was released, that was poor judgement on there part.

Its not like the anniversary date changes each year lol, they could have had something special planned, im fed up of seeing this same old excuse about the entire team is working on HoT, what will it be after HoT is released, or the entire team is working on a balance patch or the entire team is taking a break for 6 months, come on already, Stop making excuses.

Or they could make it that when you cap a keep/garrison, that when the Champion Keep Lord or Champion Tower Lord has Righteous Indignation, that the keep/tower has a -1000 health / sec degen on any enemy within the confines of said tower/keep, and being invis does not make you immune to this.

Kills in eotm should not go towards the wvw kill achievement. It’s a pve map.

Unlike the WvW maps with PvE skills, K-Trains, etc etc

Uh huh, im saying no way on hell that happened, if you got 20 ecto from 10 rares then you have the best RnG from the entire game,

Given that the people who have salvaged thousands of rares to get the average and it came back at just under 1:1 your ratio of 2:1 seems a little off,

I salvage a lot of rares everyday and you do go threw streaks of bad luck, but if you do actually count it out it will average out at around just under 1:1, do not use a black lion salvage kit on rares, its a waste just stick to the master kit, also remember that its not always worth salvaging them sometimes its better return to sell the rare, keep an eye on the market.

Depending on your setup, all crash logs are recorded by the game, mine are saved in

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Guild Wars 2

Even support will ask you to locate these so that they can read the file to show you what is causing the crash.

Its been reported a few times now, I think its because when the game was developed, 4k wasn’t even a thing for gaming, I agree that they should look into this, given that a lot of people play other games that might well support 4k, id be amazed if they didn’t have something to cover 4k after HoT is released.

It probably will last a long time because they have forced the game into an ultra causal game, where id say that in the next year with the current progression people will only log in for dailies and maybe do 1 or 2 events then log off, which is exactly what Anet is pushing for, they wont want people spending hours in there game farming etc as it ruins what their vision of the game is,

Personally id be more interested to see what they do when NCSoft push out Blade ‘n’ Soul to the western market, as I know a lot of people who have waited along time to play that game.

Actually they don’t need to watch the chest farm, they would have known that a lot of farming would be done in this zone, people want mats for legendarys or to sell mats for gold to buy something they want, this zone is 100% ANETS own doing, they removed loot from other areas of the game, they nerfed events in other areas of the game, loot from dungeon/fractals is poor ( its been posted time and time again )

With all that combined ANET Forced people to run around a zone like mindless robots in order to get loot, and the truly sad thing is, they will nerf it so badly that no one will go to this zone again, WHEN in fact they should boost the drops across other zones to make people want to move out across the game.

They never should have removed the locked chest idea from ( EotN or Hardmode from GW1 ) make users buy lockpicks from vendors and run around looking for random locked chests in game, that reward T6 and other various items ( depending on the zone )

Its not just ranger pets that to this, if you summon an ally to fight for you, ( Fire ele, etc ) they also will not go and fight unless you run in, and even when you run back they follow, even though you are still within agro range.

Strange, I also have a problem with this box but not the same as you, I use the box to hold all my legendary weapons etc for when im swapping them out, and the only 1 that refuses to go into this box is The Minstrel ( focus ) unless I manually put it into this box it will not go into it when I hot swap my weapons out.

Does your windows event viewer show anything logged for when these crashes happen?

Is it not like every 4th or 5th reward you get one.

So a couple of friends wanted to go over some old S2 achievements, I was looking on dulfy at this one, and apparently it was bugged but later fixed, we tried it as a 3 man party, and we had no chance of completing this,

Twice the NPCs where dead before we even got near the location and the last time we got there the enemies spawned and destroyed them before we could even respond, is this Achievement bugged again does anyone know?

According to dulfy its easier to do this solo, I don’t see how, the enemies that spawn seem to ignore you and just hit the NPC’s.

They cant/wont move any items/chars over to a new account,

You do not need to uninstall and reinstall, I think if you where to buy it online and create a new account, you just log into the game with the new details,

They do have the ability to change account names, but the reason has to be good, ive seen peoples account names ingame changed before ( but granted this is usually because the name would technically be banned ), I guess if you reason for wanting it changed was good enough they could technically do it.

If you do decide to go down the road of a new account, I personally recommend that you make it first, join the same guild ( personal bank ) that way you can slowly move all crafting items etc over.

I would never pick a karma boost anyways, and it’s not like karma does that much anyways, but this is ridiculous.

Because they can, its not the first time they’ve done something like this,

Its clear that karma is probably either being phased out, or you need massive amounts of it when HoT is released so they removed the booster early, to increase the grind later,

Sadly as for those saying its bad business etc, they don’t care, anyone remember the Infinite Continue Coin that give you unlimited tries for SAB, then POOF Sab disappeared, ( but apparently it may return 1 day ) but you cant get a refund on them coins as it “might” return 1 day.

If you don’t want to get caught in shady business dealings do not buy anything from the Gem store, else expect anything that u buy from there to be changed and or removed without notice.

I didn’t use boosters that much, but I don’t like the way they have moved boosters into an RnG lottery.

I actually enjoyed the new map, I didn’t try it the first time we had access to it, but I did this weekend,

I’ll agree that the first time I entered it I was lost, but it doesn’t take long to work out how to play it, whats enjoyable is that it actually requires teamwork, and not just zerging around the map, which I see way to much in PvP matches now.

Unless you have a friend close by who has the game this is very unlikely to happen, the dat file is over 20Gb, mine is currently at 23Gb.

Have you look through the account issues section of the forums, this issue has come up several times in the past.
