Veterans = Boring uninspired slightly harder monster that aren’t worth the time.
Champions = Damage sponges that aren’t worth the time of you (or your party) killing.
See, Guild Wars 2 is a game that rewards you unlike other games, you get SATISFACTION! Bah, in other pathetic games you only get drops for time spent, what a waste of time. I frequently moan on the Torchlight 2 forums about my drops, I wish those guys would realise I only want to be rewarded by time spent and wish they’d reduce my drops from NAMED bosses because they are no fun! Can’t wait or the Veteran/Champion boss patch in Torchlight 2 namechanger. I hear it makes all bosses have exquisite names like Veteran or Champion :P
/sarcasm

OP, maybe they seen the success of ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ and thought, Ding! Ding! Ding!? While missing all the attributes that made that film fun (to me).

I can’t imagine people can’t find PVe guilds in this game. There are plenty of them.
Thing is Vayne, there are plenty of Guilds (even in GW1) that claim “We do it all!” then when you join and chat to your inviter for a while then………………all communication goes dead. I don’t think it’s the fault of the actual Guild and members though, they are just doing what they want to do. There are cracking Guilds that are constantly active but there are many that just want numbers.
Don’t limit yourself to certain professions. I have one of every but I never feel like I even put my heart into my Warrior or Guardian, they are just alt’s as my main I feel most connected with is my Necro. But that’s just me and 5 years of GW1 slavery talking.
This is how I felt when doing the shrink/giantify jumping puzzle that also has enemies to make you run slow when they attack you.
Op, you have to look for info. about it. Christ, I heard bugger all about Borderlands 2 until I re-installed the game and found out there was a new Tiny Tina DLC waiting for me (Season Pass holder).
That said I did get emails from Anet about some of the Living Story thingies.
I think server populations are returning to the way it was in GW1. The US servers were always the most populated, in this game it seems there are a few that are highly popular. Unfortunately in this game we can’t just change to them on a whim without guesting, paying cash or having awesomely rich Guidies pay for your transfer. New players that choose the wrong one are kind of up a certain creek without a certain device and will no doubt surmise the game is dead when there are more active servers available.
Unless Anet have changed things about their admittance that server population is based on accounts tied to that server then when new players login to a full server it’s to be expected that they’ll be curious about where the hell everyone is.

Palu I’m Magumma. Maybe ANet could and should immortalise you like Borderlands 2 did for a player. Make you an NPC or something.
No Nicholas the Traveller
No Xunlai Chest
No Player to Player trading
Christ whats the worst that will happen, you will miss some skins in GW3 like the 50/50 ones from GW? They will be buyable from the CS anyway.
I’ve played since headstart and I’ll be honest this is one of the reasons why I don’t even bother anymore. Maybe I’m spoiled by games like Torchlight 2 and Borderlands 2 but I don’t think so. Why bother chasing your tail for hundreds of hours for no reason when other games actually give you rewards for time spent.
Ps. Still haven’t gotten a Legendary in TL2 but the other drops make up for it.

I’d like to turn off the corner taking up space (Sylvari Zone) it’s almost like the right side of screen is words. I asked about this in map chat and got a person who doesn’t realise that the words scale regardless of screen size and resolution.
Anyone who argues against optimism is a fool.
For me it was Flyff, pumped unreal amounts of cash into that. I was was such a fool, came from UT2004 rpg servers and found a game where I could pay to win!!!!
That my friends is fail. Don’t make the same mistakes.
I talk a lot. Some people would hate it. My wife loves it. It’s not a flaw to her. I just have a niche audience.
Haha, I’m putting this in my sig. <3
Vayne you are the epitome of faith, I really wish I had as much, I kitten and moan a lot more than I probably should
WTS – Honeymoon photos
Some of us have been playing since launch and still feel this is the best MMO available now (and in some cases available ever).
It’s not all about the honeymoon.

Wait, how much goes to NC Soft and how much goes to Anet? I’ll spend my money on a bouncy castle instead if it’s going to NC Soft and not Anet. A certain lady probably opened a new bank account when she read the OP’s title

I am “losing an argument”
Hey it’s ok, we’re here for you.
Yep, we’ve been losing a game for months so used to it, we are the wet nurses :P
1. Lack of rewards for time spent.
2. Living story disposable rubbish that no one really cares about.
3. Lack of useful skills/traits (traits lol) (especially Elite) as it is the game has 80% pathetic skills. I want to choose from useful skills not pick the best of a bad/boring bunch from garbage.
4. Balance team of chimpanzees
All of the above are overshadowed by a venomous hatred of RNG. I can’t put my hatred of rng into a number but I’ll try…“NNnnnnng!” gasp, wheeze “5!” Yay, I done it!

What’s more annoying -
Everything’s perfectly fine with the game, you’re wrong, quit, go back to X MMO.
Or.
Improvements should be made to make the game more enjoyable.
As long as people keep telling Anet that they fart Channel No. 5 they’ll keep pumping out RNG weapons and half hearted content.
After the Shatterer last night someone started playing Careless Whisper (Maguuma)lol, timing was questionable but since some idiot constantly pressed the same key on their horn for the duration of kitten it was an excellent change.
Same reason you can only dodge twice but swing a giant two handed sword and swing a giant two handed sword again. You have ultra arm muscles in the GW2 world but geriatric leg muscles
Garret from the Thief games, now that is a true Thief. In this game they should rename the profession to Mugger because it’s not a thief.
Still leveling alts here, Underworld on EU feels very populated. Hell I run into people even when I don’t want to
Tried glasses? Sorry, couldn’t resist
Get to Queensdale. Troll is up, Wasp Queen is up, Oakheart is up is GW2 in a nutshell, welcome to it.
I’m not an elitist and had Obby armour.
No, thats not it. I wouldn’t be helpy helperson like I was in GW1 if I was antisocial. You might be though
When you meet a players in-game you can either A. be social or B. not be social. There is absolutely nothing in the game’s design that dissuades you from being social. So if you chose not to be, then that’s entirely on you.
Edit: Smiley snuck it’s way in.
The thing is though I don’t feel the attraction to missions (Trahearne’s Story), best I have is rambling with Guildies, I just don’t feel the fun of grouping with randoms like I did in GW1
It seems to me that the only thing needed to group up is wanting to do so, I always say hi, and start chatting, most of the times people answer back and group up, its easy, just a right click away, sometimes just saying Hi! can go a long way!
Just yesterday I finished 2 maps with random people I found running around…
You hit probably the nail on head. Maybe I’m selfish and too comfortable with my Guildies and I need to open up to random players. Bad experiences should be ignored.
What do you guys do when you see another player? I logged into my Ranger and went to the Black Citadel starting area, I played with some people without titles and it got me thinking. This game is pretty horrible at grouping up. In GW1 I’d have ended up rambling to those players and done a few missions/dungeons with them. In this game I just move on.
The only thing stopping you from “rambling to those players” and doing a few missions/dungeons with them is you. Don’t blame the game for your antisocial behavior.
No, thats not it. I wouldn’t be helpy helperson like I was in GW1 if I was antisocial. You might be though

Fair enough……
The title thing, I’m not thinking “no title = noob” it’s just when I see no titles in starting areas I go into wanna help mode almost.

So, why is everybody complaining about RNG? I honestly don’t care about skins, and if I get one by chance from Boxes that’s fine.
Only thing that bothers me a bit is the extremely low drop rate of keys for Black Lion Chests, since I would really like to get some Transmutation stones.
If you got infected by the low drop rate curse that many have been cursed with you’d think twice. I only pray you don’t and never get afflicted with it because it’s not fun.
I’m tired of Guildies pinging exotics and pre-cursors in chat while I get blues and greens. Maybe I’m being greedy because I’ve only been playing for almost a year
(edited by Paul.4081)
Of course Warriors deal the most DPS, that’s what they’re supposed to do.
Of course, the problem is, everyone’s a generic DPS in this game.
This is true but lets face it, all professions should be equally viable in all situations without the trinity. I’m not suggesting we have boring duplicates but more having the limitations of other professions removed and for the love of Christ, PvP separate from PvE.
It took 8 months to get right click targetting optional. Maybe if we moan more we can get ignored louder?
(edited by Paul.4081)
I just personally bought GW2 today after re-opening trilogies and having some fun with it, but i’m bored of of my mind atm on the download which got to 30%, then my computer bsoded, and now it’s at 50% after starting from 0. I’m currently browsing reddit so i have something to do. What did you guys do when you were waiting for gw2 to download?
(I would be playing another game during the download but sadly 2 directx games at once (which apparently includes the download screen for gw2) = bsod on my alienware)
I rambled on the Guild Wars 2 Guru forums as these forums weren’t up at the time of dowloading the game (headtsart weekend)
If you want better RNG, get one of these and roll it before Skill selection and looting. I did and my RNG smexy!
Players who roll 1-19 must pay NC Soft/Nexon 5 gold, players who roll a 20 are lost for one turn.
I’m glad I don’t take MMO games too seriously as I tend to play female characters, I’m not really up for becoming a transvestite irl just yet
We never really had PvP in our old pen and paper dungeons and dragons games. It was always cooperative, with everyone against the GM (who was pretty much the program).
I sometimes think the DM I played with was just making it up as he went along instead of having a thought out story. Games can’t really do that. I’d never say this to his face though because I’d no doubt have ended up becoming a toad for the rest of the quest or something.
The puffy sleeping bag look is horrible
You know what, I’m a 90’s child
I’m a 70’s child. Nice to meet you.
I’m a 60’s child, and per killcannon. Paul just qualified for fanboy
I’m a fanboy now? Christ how the hell did that happen. Fanboy of GW1 yes but not this game
Guns and Giblets…
Thanks for clearing that up as to what to expect up ahead. I really think that the team can really improve on the density of events in low level zones making it easier to find events in teh game without some website. Maybe even adding more Karma quests in zones that seem to have too few? Or perhaps they just seem to award too little xp as I move through the game world and try to clear a path to the next area.
I think the flow in each zone could be looked at is all I am saying. Maybe is is just me, but frankly it seems like it takes forever to find things to do and then level out of a zone. I even try gathering things to add to the xp and exploring areas as well.
When we have boring monsters then we have…kitten. Wargs = nuff. Maybe one day Anet will feel inspired?
(edited by Paul.4081)
wakka wakka wakka (thats depth, idiots)!
You know what, I’m a 90’s child
So is there a term for people that post on the other end of the spectrum? For example saying something like, “Such and such update is terrible and Anet doesn’t care about the players. This game is going down the toilet and everyone I know is quitting. Anet is just greedy. /endpost”
Haters.
And you are right, both are a mirror of each other that just drag the community to the mud.
yeah kittentard is banned? I laugh with my guild or I did..Nick the traveller…..guess I should focus on …..?
Well the thing is there’s this thing called the vocal minority.
Vocal minority seems to work in favour of the silly. Why would you even bother if your voice is ignored? The rational have moved on.
(edited by Paul.4081)
This doesn’t even need a topic on a forum, it’s just bad. Anet and all true gamers know this but the Ringmasters are too busy cracking RNG Box whips.
MONEY MONEY MONEY
How long till the delusional start posting?
