Stuck on loading screen.
Yes, I am also having the same problem.
Log in OK, but loading into Queensdale… I never arrive inside the game.
So inconvenient.
If we already had a decent selection of town clothes, I could understand the addition of unusual/non-lore clothes.
But as it stands, its like, “_Hey, here’s a pair of aviator sunglasses to go with your… oh, you don’t have anything…that goes.. with aviator sunglasses… Well, how about some riding pants to go with your mou… Oh… you don’t have…”
Riding pants. For use with the mou… For use with the, ummm… Awwwkwaaaard.
What a “present that you didn’t really want” moment.
“Oooh what manner of new town clothes have they added!?” I thought excitedly as I opened the gem store. “Yesss… oh. Thanks… Anet. These are really… great! You know, I’ve always wanted a pair of riding pants!”
There needs to be some additional L80 locations, and some new foes. Pretty darn soon I reckon.
Frankly speaking, many names just reek of childish, immaturity—but really, what else can one expect?
But these kinds of names convey two things;
1) “I’m an immature child”—fine.
2) “I don’t ‘care’ about my character or the environment in which I (and my character) exist and interact with others.”—not fine. This attitude is an extension of the person’s attitude (at least in some part) in real life.

Some really kick kitten ideas here. I especially like the “charity purchases” one, where support given to less fortunate people is both seen and recognised—with a view to increasing charity support.
It must be quite obvious by now, that the loot dropped (or lack of it) is notorious.
Anet has created for themselves an image like Scrooge McDuck.
Increase condition duration times across the board.
Right now, conditions and effects last as little as 1 second.
You don’t even get to see, let alone ‘enjoy’ the conditions you’re applying.
Also, in the thick of combat with your group, nobody gives a rats behind about the combos, because, “Oooh wow, our combo added an extra 2 seconds of bleeding! Nice work team!”
(edited by Pure Heart.1456)
Currently the conditions icons flicker on and off, and change positions horizontally making it very very difficult to track wtf conditions are active and how much damage they’re doing.
Assign each condition icon a fixed horizontal position under the health bar so you can leave your mouse in the same position and track the situation easily.
- Practice Targets that report all damage information in the combat tab.
- Configurable Practice Targets i.e. set target to Risen stats, or River Drake, or Ascalonian Ghost stats (so you can see and analyse the benefits of different equipment/sigil/armour loadouts.)
I and my friend need to join a guild in the EU region.
Friendly people who mostly play around GMT+7,8,9,10
Want to rep 100%
May we have separate US / EU forum area?
Its a real mind-job trudging through all the posts, many of which don’t specify in their title which server, let alone the region.
No one has addressed the OP’s concerns directly;
1) Too many hitpoints
2) 1-shot kills
3) No waypoint ability to rejoin the fight
Yes, all of these suck. Really, really badly.
Anet needs to add extra activities into the mix of combat in addition to dealing with the above.
It stories like these that just kitten me off. Anet don’t play their own kitten dungeons so they don’t understand how broken and awful they can be to play.
To hell with other players telling me to put my pet away, -I- want to put the kitten thing away! It is heartbreakingly annoying that it doesn’t stay stowed once you stow it.
Anet, LOCK PET function please!!
Customer wants. Customer gets. Eventually.
Why stop asking for what you want? Or, alternatively, why stop seeking (in another ‘place’) for what you want?
offline /= not representing. If you cannot meet the requirements of the guild, leave the guild.
IMO the whole mutli-guild thing is a complete disaster and I don’t blame guilds for requiring repping.
This.
Multi-guilding should never have been a feature in the first place.
With that said, the OP’s request is a moot point.
More town clothes—BUT—I don’t to be thrown out of them if I take damage, that’s kitten.
People aren’t thinking this through properly.
1) Nobody cares that their are waypoints. That’s not the issue.
2) Everybody will still use the waypoints even when there are mounts. Normal.
3) Mounts are cool. Simple. It looks and feels amazing to be atop a beast of war.
4) Mounts should provide a movement increase. It’s just idiotic for this not to be the case—How much of an increase is completely irrelevant at this point in time.
5) Nobody needs dye on their armour, nobody needs flame coming from the eyes of their helmet. But hey, it looks and feels great. Stop the “need” argument already.

BUMP/RE-POST: See my OP for details
Additional info;
- Now possibly willing to change servers
- Don’t care about guild upgrades, just want the social aspect from people in my timezone
- Will represent the guild I join 100% at all times
- If I join a guild, my -one- good friend comes with me

Though crafting to level even so why would the armor that you craft cost less than the mats?
Because no-one wants (or needs) the stinking armour or weapons you crafted.
What people do want however, are the mats, so they can craft their own stinking armour and weapons that no-one wants.
In short, the demand for mats > the demand for finished goods.
Why?
Because players will get equivalent or better stuff for free from loot drops, AND,
because they can just craft those same finished goods themselves from mats they already collected freely.
Anet has neglected to implement a necessary ‘component’ in the crafting process that adds value to finished goods.
Darker nights for sure! Not sure about the 70% figure, but definitely needs addressing.
I have tried “feeding” the minor runes to the mystic forge, but everytime, I get ripped off! I put in four, and get back one of the same with just a few different stats. I could have sold those four for more coin.
I don’t get it.
I’m not impressed by the way he speaks; it is clear he doesn’t really know wth is going on, or how things are going to be handled;
“I actually have no idea right now what stuff that group is working on.”
“So I imagine…”
“So hopefully that’s on the list…”
is like… bad parents who need to apologize for their kids getting in trouble all the time.
Do all servers (in the EU) have the same performance?
I do not understand;
1) the reason vendors sell white weapons and armour
2) the purpose of minor runes
Is there something I’m missing? Should I be buying these or stocking up or putting them in the mystic forge, or what?
I might be wrong, but whites are crap compared to blues right? And minor runes… why would anyone want them if there are “Superior” runes? I just don’t get it.
A crapload of people are downloading the patch, and then logging into the servers to play the content. It takes a while for everything to settle. That explains the pattern of crap performance for you everytime there is a patch.
And one more thing, just upgrade your graphics card and be done with it. Go mow some lawns or help an old lady across the road. Its harder to earn gold in-game than it is in the real world.
Easy and cheapest solution;
Go to the tradepost, and search for “hard leather strap” (or other salvageable items).
They are selling for around 33 copper per piece. Buy them, salvage them.
I don’t know how many more you need to salvage, but you can do the math as to cost.
You’ll get 50S back as part of the monthly reward as well.
www.gw2lfg.com is really really great. It works.
Given that this site exists, I would prefer Anet spend time on more pressing issues.
How about program the AI for yellow mobs thus;
“There’s a seriously scary battle about to happen, and I am sure-as-kitten not going to walk right into the middle of it. Hell, I’m just gonna add some EXTRA distance to this whole shebang right now.”
It’s like there is no driver at the wheel, or no Q & A department. _
Another lackluster gimmick in GW2.
I’m so tired. Just so tired of it. I feel like a Risen—so tired, but I would still kill Anet if they entered my aggro zone.
Salacious is right. Its 2013, get some real hardware.
Give your customers what they want;
1) Run regular community surveys.
2) Implement the issues/features most wanted (gleaned from the results)
Customers happy, Anet coffers full.
Cooldowns on block skills are far too long.
Also, the animations that play when blocking are awesome and I would like to see them more often, and I would like to see additional block animations!
RNG, again!!! So sad.
I will PAY for each and every emote that you add that can be used as a /emote command at any time.
For my first character, yes, I felt that leveling was too fast. I was like, “What!? The adventure is finished already!?”
For my alts, I am pleased that I could speed level with crafting and other methods.
Which brings us back to the original issue, which is that we don’t know how many gems there originally were, are now, nor can we even speculate as to how many there will be.
Which means we are completely at the mercy of Anet who can tweak either the gem supply itself, or their algorithm to bring about their desired price.
I have one final question;
When players buy gems with real money, does the gem supply increase?
I want the same list, but only for MMOs. But I want the list based on new data that has evaluated only MMOs. Otherwise its useless data.
So if gems will never run out, the SUPPLY is (virtually?) unlimited.
Which means, the amount of gems needed to convert to gold should be extremely high because things that are in unlimited supply should effectively be worthless.
But they’re apparently not worthless.
Which should mean the supply is limited.
Or if they are unlimited, the supply of gems is being manipulated to bring about a desired exchange rate—Fraudulent.
I don’t get it.
1) “Their game, their supply” you say;
“Oh no! The gem supply is running low! Must convert all my gems to gold before the gems run out!”
The thing is, we don’t know/can not know how many gems there are. Also, the gem supply will never run out. Anet wouldn’t/couldn’t let it happen. Which means the whole concept is a farce. I don’t get it.
Well in that case, I want to know how many gems are available as supply.
Without this knowledge, and knowledge of how the gems come into existence the whole shebang is a farce.It’s like governments printing money whenever they like.
No, it’s actually not. It’ll be like government printing money if Anet was creating gems out of thin air. But they aren’t. There is a limited supply of gems that is subtracted/added to/from whenever players make Gems/Gold and Gold/Gem and Cash/Gem transactions.
This is exactly why I needed to post on this topic in the first instance;
No offense Ursan, but you are not answering my questions.
How did they create any gems in the first place?
How many gems were created in the first place?
How do you know Anet aren’t creating gems out of thin air?
I assume “S.O.L.” stands for “kitten out of luck.”
I hate that attitude. In my opinion, its entirely unacceptable in terms of customer service. Disgraceful.
Well in that case, I want to know how many gems are available as supply.
Without this knowledge, and knowledge of how the gems come into existence the whole shebang is a farce. And what about when you buy gems with real money?—is the number of gems purchased subtracted from the supply pool on this occasion as well?
It’s like governments printing money whenever they like. I smell a big, dirty rat.
Dear all,
I understand the “supply & demand” concept.
I don’t understand how it applies to gems in Guild Wars 2;
Is not the supply of gems unlimited? i.e. Anet can ‘create’ as many as they like.
I just don’t get it—how the gold to gem ratio can change. Please help.
Sincerely.
It is not that legendaries are “too hard” to obtain, it is that the random component to making them is silly—and unnecessarily time consuming, disheartening and boring.
In fact, I would prefer more difficult skill-based methods of acquiring them—doing away with the random component completely or almost completely.
Dear Anet,
Could you please help this customer of yours, and a member of our community in this matter? As a member of this community myself, I ask that you show compassion and correct the situation.
Sincerely,
Pure Heart.
