I’m seriously laughing at the people saying dungeons will suddenly become fun now that FGS is nerfed. Guys, the mechanics are still the same.
If anything already boring encounters will only become even more awful…

I really enjoyed duoing that “bugged” Alphard.
What they should do to make that Alphard change more reasonable is to reduce the amount of visual clusterkitten that affects bosses.
I mean seriously, no one needs to see a bright pillar of neon light that indicates he is burning! It removes vision from players and therefor makes it more like a guessing game where the main challenge is to look past all the other effects so you can spot a movement in his arm indicating the attack.
That is the worst kind of “difficulty” they can provide us with.
That’s because you should RANGE in p2.

Can’t be done. This was done to fix the workaround where people had bloodlust stacking sigils on their underwater weapons, stacked bloodlust and then keep the stacks when they exited water.

The warriors are much harder, you can just LoS the Mages and walk out of their AoE.
The warriors spam an autoattack that does at least 7k, and occasionally use a Rush which has .75s cast time (in melee) and deals 22k damage.Elite Earth Elemental (fotm 50)
It’s actually “only” a Veteran.
Hardest to solo in melee fotm edition (silver and below), assuming no blindspam:
1. Ascalonian Warrior.
2. Lashtail Devourer(s). They have a channeled poison+cripple attack that CCs and kills my ele in 1s.
3. Sons of Svarnir (Bow and maybe Greatsword). Their barrage denies meleeing really hard and forces you to dodge out at least once or twice. You also constantly have to break LoS because of the channeled attacks. And if you give them ample time they summon pets which also almost 1-shot you.
4. Earth Elemental(s). Ring of Earth – 16k. duh.
5. Fanatic(s), when you cannot instantly burst. Their life-siphoning skill easily does 16k with only a few crits.
And you can LoS the ascalonian warriors, line of warding, blind and dodges and they are useless.
Now try to dodge the unreflectable aoes of the mages with no tells

I gave as one of my favorite hard bosses Alphard back when her pull-bomb used to oneshot. That was a fun boss to solo/duo and very hard to melee in a pug group
What may be easy for some is not easy for others. And he also said he doesnt stack
Two of my favorites are the Clockwork Tree and Alphard (when she used to oneshot with bombs)

I fail to understand why is this bad.
It’s bad because the effort in completing this encounter in nowhere comes close to the reward you get for completing it.
And considering Anet’s standards for Rewards in this game, it hardly seems possible that they could buff the rewards to meet the current threat level that Mai Trinn represents.
That being said, it doesn’t make sense that she remains as hard, as that would imply a reward + other fractal end bosses overhaul, which would definitely improve the game but it’s certainly not a priority whatsoever for Anet.

Hey guys, it seems to me the Merge bug that was kicking several sellers and ending party instances is fixed.
I’ve tested it with a friend now and it doesnt seem to be working so this is good news!

Why you favour your own build instead of the accepted meta builds? Including berserker gear ofc.Because the game is fun when we have several builds, and we actually PLAY the game, not fast-run towards all content and then complain this game do not have enough content. O.o
You have several builds. Your build definition seems to be stats. Build to me involves traits, runes, weapons, utility skills and playstyle.
A good majority of the bosses in this game are clearly bad-designed boring HP-sacks. You want to make those encounters last longer because suddenly if they take longer they are more fun?
- YOUR** fun isn’t exactly fun to others. You demand zerker’s playstyle to be nerfed so that they are forced to play with you and not with other zerkers that share their same mindset.

It’s pretty clear this game’s focus is not PvP. I think we GW1’ers who bought the game with PvP in mind and challenging hard-elite areas are all too disapointed to give it another try for GW3.
They removed it because the new PvE players coming in to PvP were getting flamed for having a low rank. In order to cover their wallet, Anet removed a big part of rank-exposition.
The more eles the better. FGS makes this game too hard!

Most people who think the axe warrior build is boring probably haven’t played it. Doing the proper rotation is a bit more challenging than the gs+axe build and it’s significantly more active, especially the EA build that Eviscerates as part of the rotation.
I feel like I’m surrounded by crybaby carebear casuals. “waaaa I wanna use my twilight waaaaa I don’t care if its 10% less dps” is no different than “waaaa I like my celestial gear because I play how I want.”
Well atleast there was some weapon swapping there. How do you feel about GS-camping being the best DPS option now? As boring as only-axe in my opinion.
I can whitstand 2v1s for a lot more time because I can see what the enemy is doing, and I can move around more efficiently.
Yeah, that and the fact the enemy can’t see what you are doing helps tremendously.
Are they still supposed to drop everywhere in the world?
I mean currently, all they’re doing is making our crappy loot even more crappy. Was this changed after this patch or was it always like this since the Twilight Assault patch?
You tell me where do you find all this enjoyment in GW2 obviously flawed dungeon encounters? Ranging, strafing while pressing #1, circling the boss is your idea of fun to? Or is it perhaps the obvious complex and deep encounters the devs have designed for us?

We can all start have some fun in dungeons when they actually become fun or
challenging to do. It’s not how changing our mentality will suddenly make dungeons fun. Just because you put a lipstick on a pig, it aint stopped being a pig.
Im doing what it takes to get through dungeons as efficiently as possible, as focusing and striving to beat them as fast as possible is one of the few challenges we have in this game.
Until then, they are nothing more than gold chests at the end.

Wondeful thread Rym. Unfortunately I think you have given more thought into dungeons than the whole Anet team ever since launch.
The new war meta build is so kitten boring.
And considering ele’s had their #1 autoattack lightning hammer spam for year, I guess that’s how Anet likes their meta builds

World A has 400 players in WvW
World B has 2000 players that want to go into WvW
World C has 1500 players that want in as well
But only the first 400 from each server can enter and the rest have to que until World A has more players trying to get in, I mean are you guys at NC kittened or just incapable of writing a script that could do what I listed and make the game play a bit better? Or would it be too much to ask for free transfers to all servers so that your customer base can at least get on a server that has a single hope in hell of having an enjoyable experience in WvW? Again NC is full of kittens!!!

How do you determine through this wonderful script of yourse which is the limit until you start handing out free server transfers? And why should you? You picked a server for a reason. What you’re asking here is server hopping at will.
