Depends. Necro can be bursty with a power/precision well/staff build, or you could deal consistent but lower damage with condition/epidemic build. Engineer, on the other hand, can do the same, if not better, at stacking conditions, or you could go the hundred-nades build and be really bursty with grenade-barrage and static-discharge/kit-refinement. Engineer also has better support options than necro in some situations.
Judging from your past posts in which that you couldn’t even play a warrior right, I would highly suggest you to play a necro; it is a lot less complicated than engi. While being more diverse in options, engineer is hard to learn and hard to master.
You might have fast-cast ground targeting activated, in that case, move your mouse cursor to the place where you want to cast it will solve the problem, or you can simply disable it at the bottom of the first page of “Options.”
If you complete two or more dungeon paths in half an hour, you’ll get hit by DR and receive half reward for both token and silver. It isn’t documented on the wiki, but on many past threads this has been discussed for countless times, and I have personally encounter this a few times before, so I assume it is true. I would suggest writing a support ticket for more precise info, but no one (either grinders or Anet) would really bother with this kind of question.
Granted not as OP as D/D BS
The point.
Why use it for a particular task when you have better tools for it?
Remember to ALWAYS be the dungeon starter when you’re with pugs. Always drag them down with you if they do kick you.
Using axes for GC ranger is like wanting to burst people down with a shortbow thief. Axes simply aren’t the best tools for burst dps.
Pearl broadsword is easy to make with only orichalcum, ancient wood, and a handful of T6 materials. On the other hand, crafting a destroyer greatsword takes 30 destroyer lodestones(or 60 destroyer cores), which are a rare drop that has low chance of dropping.
I would suggest the “combat mode” mod for you, it’ll make your camera turning a lot smoother with a controller.
Um I’m laughing – mesmers have NOT been nerfed as hard as a ele……i could pwn a ele with the shatter like build I run. when a patch comes out, we get – “oh we fixed that, or we nerfed this….” with a ele its “we changed EVERYTHING SO GO CRY”
as for gaurdians. they seem the same as mesmers when it comes to nerfing.
Yeah, with this kind of response I can only suggest you to play warrior and thief, since it seems class balance means everything to you that you don’t even want have fun with a not totally balanced class.
Right, quitting a game because movement speed has a cap is the most logical thing to do.
Here’s the info you need.

No berserker karma armors. Your best bet is to run CoF for fast, easy tokens.
Why not have both? Make one of each and try them out, but seriously, if all your worry about is class balance, go warrior for PvE and thief for WvWvW.
“Rampage” is a warrior skill if you didn’t know.

The connection lag has always been there ever since launch, but Anet never did take the time to fix it. Sure they said they’re “looking into it”, but after 6 months and hundreds of reports, the problem still persists… no, it has only gotten worse ever since large events such as Lost Shores.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Network-Lag-Merged/
I used to hate air elementals and never summon them because they look so bland in comparison to others and they offer nothing really special. I personally love this new model and definitely going to use them more.
Shouldn’t people learn by now that Anet is good at making false advertisement and empty promises? Major bugs like culling and connection lag/DC have been complained since launch, and the problems have only gotten worse. What about that promise to make ranger in line with other professions? Ranger got a huge nerf on spirit greatsword in BWE and a nerf to short bow for “not fun.” Seriously, the two class balancing dudes(who shall not be named but we all know who they are) balance weapons for reasons like “we don’t think it’s fun.” And now trap ranger counters bunkers in PvP, they’re gonna nerf traps just because of that. Of course there’re pretty talks of “we’ll bring other skills in line” and “not completely destroy the build”, but after spirit greatsword nerf in BWE, we know this cannot be trusted either.
Bandit archers in CM deal damage as they dodge if you didn’t know.
You can farm it if you really want to, I think it’s a complete waste of time and energy for the chests’ content does not worth it.

Guard doesn’t have any reasons to be on the bar in either group play or 1v1 situation. It’s too situational, it doesn’t help a group in dungeons, it takes up one of your skill slot when half of its function should really be built in for pet command. There are other skills that are much more helpful for any kind of build. Traps, signets, QZ, LR, or even other shouts.
AC path 1, burrow room.
A guardian friend was tanking the front burrow while we get rid of the other 2. As we ran past the front burrow while the friend was taking aggro of gravelings from the front burrow and the newly spawned side burrow, I noticed that Hodgins’ health was decreasing, so I look toward his direction but saw nothing around him. He dies, the room resets. The friend claims he saw nothing ran past him to Hodgins.
Second time, same scenario, Hodgins’ health starts decreasing, I immediately ran toward him. At first there was nothing, but a second later 2 small gravelings and a elite graveling appeared out of nowhere just like culling in cities and WvWvW.
I hope I wasn’t imagine things. Even if I was, the spawning of the large number of small gravelings caused a FPS drop that made the whole thing really laggy.
So they had the balls to move the thread, but no reply to our grievances? Ugh.
And they locked another ranger thread in the general board too. Guess forum mods are just your typical GW2 WK’s. We’ll never get active and actually communicating devs like those on Riot’s LoL forums.
The only greatsword skin that is reusable is the Fellblade skin from Hall of Monument. The only other greatsword skin is the Greatsaw Greatsword, which is quite expensive and can only be used once, have to use transmutation stones for further uses. What I would suggest is to find a low level or a cheap greatsword with an appearance you like and use transmutation stones to keep the model/appearance every 5 to 10 levels when you switch to new weapon.
Here’s a greatsword gallery by Dulfy: http://dulfy.net/2012/11/07/gw2-greatsword-skin-gallery/
I’m in a guild of 5 active players, and we invested mostly in the other categories besides AoW. We have lives, we also live in different time zones, we’ll never farm enough gold nor influence to be able to participate in these kind of guild event. I dislike how these guild missions cost, but I wish those who are in a big guild could have fun with them.
Have played ranger ever since launch. I heard that in BWEs spirit/greatsword build was beastly, but I didn’t play a ranger then, so I wouldn’t know. I would say the state of rangers suck ever since launch and haven’t change much. I didn’t give up maining ranger 6 months ago, why would I do it now?

Just completed personal story completer, and got error=7 right after that. And the game just kicks me to character selection screen every time I log onto that character.
Guard: Pets will no longer guard areas that should be inaccessible to them.
So… what can “Guard” shout do now? Some people used to find it useful for ambushing invaders up on a tower/keep, now it has the number of uses that’s close to none.
Anet should look up to Riot’s dev-player communication imo. Riot is probably the only game company I know of that communicates with its players so much.
Guild armor from guild armorer or divinity councils armor set from Caudecus’s Manor.
1. Get other screenshot programs
2. Install them and use them
3. ???
4. Profit
But seriously, GW2’s built in screenshot quality is horrible, I would stop using it and get something else if I were you.

More new players = more gems
Old players leave the game, leaving accounts behind = more left over gems for others = inflation as it is now
I miss the days that 1 gold in gem store could get me around 390 gems.
The patch just went on today brought the lag back in again. Not sure how changing prices in gem store would effect connection.
I’ve gotten a few crests out of Troll’s End and Weyandt’s Revenge, otherwise nothing special.
take a bow shoot something once, take an axe hit something once. Why does the axe do more damage? You can hit more often. With magic guns and bows you can hit as often as with an axe/sword. Damage over time should be the same.
a ranger with a bow should NOT do the same damage as a warrior in melee, as simple.
melee damage >> range damage
i dont know how much damage a ranger does with his melee attacks? that can be buffed maybe.
It’s about risk vs. reward. With melee you hit harder but is easier to get hit. With ranged you avoid attacks easier so you should hit less. Ranger shortbow is also a condition weapon, hitting hard isn’t exactly its strength. Nonetheless, ranger longbow is just sub-par compare too ALL other ranger weapons.
Please.
No more dumb/easy content with a 0,05% chance (final rest drop rate).
I’d rather do a hard content where only a few can overcome (based on skill and tatics) than just farming easy places over and over again for the something.
I’ll give you tactics, but there is no skill in video games. “Skill” is just faster reaction time.
wow. Just wow.
Now now, leave the “slow reaction” non-PvPers out of this, you don’t have to make them feel bad about themselves.
But yes, more skin will be nice, especially some variations of medium armor that aren’t trench coats.
This kind of poll site is too easy to be tempered with, and there was already a thread about this with majority of people said “no”.
Geez, lots of men must be playing female characters if these stats are right. Either that or there are more female forum posters. Very interesting topic.
Sylvari, male, ranger
Human, female, necromancer
Sylvari, female, guardian
Asura, female, elementalist
Charr, male, engineer
So a friend sent a question to the support team and got this in reply:
“In the past, there was a similar issue with Order of the Whispers skins that were acquired by players who were not a part of the Order of Whispers. When the issue was resolved, all items that had these skins applied on characters that should not be able to receive them were wiped and the skins were lost. Any items that are currently benefiting from this issue will likely see a similar resolution with the unintended skin being removed from the character and unrecoverable. Taking part in this issue would see the risk of losing your items.”
.
.
TL;DR. Cross-order/character equipment transmutation will be removed as it isn’t intended. All of your items transmuted this way will be removed and no way to recover.

Sounds like elementalist and engineer would be your choice of profession. Both of them have multiple sets of skills to switch to in mid-combat, as long as you can manage your skills wisely, you will not have any skill downtime, however, they’re the hardest professions to learn, so if you think you can handle a challenge, be sure to try them.
You’ll be labeled as a separatist and be killed even before you walk anywhere near the Black Citadel.
I was also impressed to see you in a custom armor set that didn’t involve trying to show as much skin as possible.
I can say that I’m really really proud of her, however, your character is awesome too!
Other than the pupils having a really light color, you get 9.9/10 from me.
Bonus points for whoever knows whom my armor set is referencing!
7/10, they look kinda… spaced out, but using the same face model, I feel your pain.
Spent a lot of time on adjusting it too.

Hear that Anet? See how your boss mechanic means so little to your players? What you thought to encourage team work is actually view as uninteresting, boring, and useless to players. In other games such as Monster Hunter or Phantasy Star, stunning/tripping a boss is actually meaningful and fun to do, but your little mechanic is just so lackluster that so few players even know about it, and even fewer who would execute it. Now, take this back to your drawing board and make it more interesting and meaningful.
Remember those talk about AOE damage? Yep, it was directed at ele AND ranger. Did anyone mention this yet? Devs declared that trap rangers will be nerfef along with D/D ele’s.
“Not over destroy certain builds, like the ranger and the ele.” 59:40
From other parts of the interview, you can see that they’re aiming these nerfs at trap rangers.
http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2guru/b/365009593
It’s sad how Anet balances EVERYTHING around PvP and breaks builds over builds for PvE, like how ele has only 1 viable build.
Had a good month worth of smooth connection, and then lag and error just hit me again yesterday. Haven’t been able to do dungeons normally.
This is by far the best armor gallery. Also, gw2armor.com is pretty horrible with either the site background colors and armor dye colors.

No, I would just create another character
