@Battousai.7586
You get that much from wvwvw?
I gotta start doing that then, thanks for the heads up

And the whole issue is that PVE does not provide any monetary profits.
Im fine with pvping, spvp especially but I also think of people who dont want to do those at all.

And be my guest to try out PVE on a new toon and get it up to 80 and see for yourself the amount of work and effort you have to put in and the rewards you get from it

Are you even listening to what people are saying?
It’s not that people who are 80 WANT more loot, We need more cashflow to pay the crazy in game taxes, be it armour repairs or waypoints.

Do you know how much it costs to way point around from one side of Tyria to another.

So what you want us to go to Heart of the mists, then to LA then portal to the racial town the destination we want is in, then run the rest of the way?

And armour repair please dont make a dumb remark like, DONT DIE SO OFTEN, so its their fault they dont have your masterful skill o mighty pveer.

Them wanting more reward does not hurt you, period.

So stop telling them to go play another game if you didn’t buy this game for them with your own money.

Rizzy, I do agree with you the money flow is wrong!
It’s a fair and a valid point actually, and I’m sure they are looking into it.
We should raise our voice telling them they need to fix the cash flow.

But that really ain’t what most people whine about! If you start reading many of the posts you see people complaining about the lack of gear progress and that’s what I’m against!.

They’re complaining about how hard it is to get the baseline level 80 gear that they need to be an effective member of the team, I’ve explained to you about this.
Exotic gear =/= Rare Gear unlike Elite 15k Gear = 1.5k Gear in guildwars. which share exactly the same stats.
And even then, you upgrade your gears with runes and weapons with mods to give your build a slight tactical advantage

The reason why in GW spammadan 20/20 costs so much as 20^50 People want those stats A LOT but they can still pay for it. GW2 makes it extremely hard for people to get baseline stats.

If you’re going to play conditioner you’re going to get rampager gear why? because it adds to condition damage
If you’re going to play spiker you’re going to get beserker gear why? because it hits harder and increases critical damage

If you dont understand this concept, then you’re not as good of a player you think you are.

And they’re complaining about how late this update came so people who already farmed CoF hundreds of time have already gotten the armour and it creates a giant gap between Veteran 80s and New 80s who now have no means to upgrade their gear.

And as a level 80 with full exotic gear, its unfair to treat those who just turned 80 this way. They either need to either reduce cost of making those base level 80 crafted exotic gear or increase the cash from mobs and karma from DE if they dont want people to wear Dungeon gear because they just want it for extremely well organized teams.

I’ve tried to be nice and civil with you, but everytime you come into one of these threads you contribute nothing but pointless banter and try to start flamewars with, “Not the game for you go play something else” Im giving you a fair warning, You seem a somewhat decent person, if you move make another pointless worthless post that disrespects and disregards another person post I will personally bring this matter up with a moderator as you are contributing nothing but flames.
Thank you.

This is the exact same thing I fell about you? and the exact same thing I been trying to do. I have nothing, against people complain, and I have no problem with people bring up game issue, heck I even have a long list myself of things I want fixed. Nor do I have any problem with people wanting a reward. The problem is the “reward people need for their time spent” in the game. I’m tired and sick of games where loot demand everything. I all ready stated in other thread that it’s fine with cosmetic gear as a reward, or silly fun Achievements. But that ain’t what most people want. If that is the kinda of rewards, non game changing rewards. Then sure, go nuts. But I have as much right as others, to say my opinion about the issue’s you bring up.

Are you even listening to what people are saying?

it felt like PVE was a boring drag and PVP is the only thing worth doing.

PvP is the ONLY thing worth doing in any game.

To me it is, PvE is just scripted Ai that anyone can beat, I knew that this game was basically a balanced PvP game with a PvE social element.

This was after a short search on the game.

Having said that I find the PvE to be quite enjoyable, similar to WoW type questing but different enough to be it’s own system, not better, just different, I have been playing since prelaunch and I still have to get a character above lvl 25.

This much was true until I tried the dungeons I mean sure its scripted but it was pretty different, its like playing a single player game with other people with no dedicated roles. And it was kinda fun to see the cross profession combos at work.

But yeah since the dungeon patch and low rewards, the high risk, the high ingame tax…. it totally become not worth the time or effort put in, so yeah right now PVP is about the only thing enjoyable to me.

Which ironically is the same fate as the first Guildwars.

Why dont you let her play what game she wats to play and respect the fact that she paid for the game and is entitled to as much enjoyable content as you are?

Because she, and others like you, are trying to change and ruin, one of the core selling points of the game I and other players brought. We knew what we brought, we got what we brought, and we are happy about what we brought. It’s not a matter about I don’t want to let her play what she wants, in fact that exactly what I’m telling her to do. What you, and her, is misunderstanding is: This is not one of these games, and you should to to try force changes to the core functions of the game “just because you brought it aswell”. It’s the same when I don’t go, to Rift, or SWTOR or WoW, games I all brought and complain and DEMAND they change into something they never was meant to be.

To fell like you have every single right in the world to DEMAND whatever that please you in a MMO, just because you paid as well. It is Our word against your’s, the difference being we want the game as it was created, and not changed it into something the game designers didn’t want to create. Is it really that hard to understand? If you want to play GW II, that’s fine, but stop trying to changed it into the standard dull and boring MMORPG, because that ain’t what it was made for!

Because you are the only one allowed to have fun in this game?

Do you know how selfish and self centered you sound?

Personally I have NOTHING in PVE to do anymore.
I want the content of what I was told was going to be delivered, to do what I want in PVE when I want it.

sPVP is amazing and is where they really delivered.

Just because someone finds fault with one part of the game, doesnt give you the right to say, GO PLAY ANOTHER GAME AND LEAVE MY PERFECT GAME ALONE!!!!!!! Like you’re the only one who deserves the fun content.

Listen try to understand you’re playing an MMORPG you’re not going to be alone, MM stands for Massively *MULTIPLAYER *

If what they were doing got nerfed and it doesn’t effect you or your game play, stop butting into their discussions saying amazingly ignorant and self centered down right idiotic statements about how its just for you.

Explain how people wanting to dungeons to give rewards that match the effort put in would hurt you or how treasure hunters wanting their magic find to be effective and is being hurt by anti farming feature is going to hurt you

And if the one thing you absolutly loved doing in guildwars 2 got hurt will you promise me you wont come to the forum and start complaining about it?

What people are doing is voicing out their issues with a game they paid for, and they are entitled to, YOU however are not entitled to tell them to go play another game driving away ArenaNet’s customer base.

Why don’t you just stick with LoL then? The PvP is much more polished because… it’s a PvP game.

If Anet wanted to make this a quasi RTS they should have stipulated that from the beginning. I sure as hell wouldn’t have purchased it.

Why don’t you stick with all the other MMORPG’s like Rift, WoW or SWTOR? And many others? Because they are the typical brain dead controlled by rewards games you want.

If you had read just a little about the game or followed up on what the design would be on this game, you would have known what you brought. It only makes you stand out like a little kid that didn’t do his homework, that you brought a game without knowing what it was about!

Why dont you let her play what game she wats to play and respect the fact that she paid for the game and is entitled to as much enjoyable content as you are?

And stop saying “dont buy a game you didnt know what it was about” Like people lack the common sense to check out the game and what it was about.

We were told this was an MMORPG with PVP and PVE both equally catered for but when we got it and played it, it felt like PVE was a boring drag and PVP is the only thing worth doing.

UNLESS. You watched a different Guildwars2 Manifesto video and read different guildwars2 blogs and dev interviews?

Now kindly stop acting like the official “Fun” officer.

Lack of trinity and giving everybody equal chances is what makes GW2 better then any other MMO. How many times do dedicated classes get bashed because they “didn’t do their job”, or how many times you got kicked out a party because you had “lame” gear? Happened to me way too often. For players who like to play casual and hardcore, there is challenge in this game. The only thing I dislike is the eventual lack of reward in the chests, like the one in plains of ashford where you die a zillion times before you get to open a splendid chest – got only lame blues

I’m amazed by the number of people who bought this game thinking it will be like every other MMO. I guess not informing yourself beforehand is the right thing to do. Not like you had several years to do that lol.

P.S. lack of roles is not boring. If you pay attention you can make quite a use of other people’s skills on the battlefield, thing I was doing from start, and it’s heck of a fun.

Especially when you ran a dungeon with 5 players of the same profession, but since dungeons arent rewarding…. not gonna touch those.

Protip: You don’t have to run them.

It wont be a gear treadmill, Exotics are going to be the baseline gear and its going to have standardized stats.

Wether it be Rampager, Berserker, Traveller, Carrion, Valkyrie to indicate which stats they boost.

Everything beyond Exotic is for visual aesthetics.

Has anyone seen a Dev post (Red post?) on Waypoint prices?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Rizzy.8293

Rizzy.8293

@Terok, you don’t because… hang on let me bring in a fan boy.

Fanboy

Exotic gear is by no means an upgrade to your damage output and survivorbility, it is only a 12 – 20 percent increase and therefore only used for aesthetic reasons.

But one thing fanboys an girls fail to realize 12 – 20 percent more damge ranges anywhere from 400 – 800 more BASE damage which is pretty significant.

Some fanboy said the crazy remarks dungeons can be done in whites
And I said really, lets do it! lets form a party to do exploration dungeon in white gear to which they say if i can find people.

They make this kitten up swear its like a talking a wall accept a wall doesnt make stupid things up.

Exotic gear is the baseline equipment a level 80 should have to be efficient to have the 18 – 24k hp Hrouda expects us to have.
And right now with all the goldsinks theres no way for you to attain those unless you get gems

Well this is very odd indeed, you see I was able to obtain an exotic weapon while wearing lower than level 80 gear in some cases (amulet, rings) they were level 35. I’ll give you the absolute simplest way I can think of, which is what I did.

100% one of the Orr zones or frostgorge sounds. Make sure before you do to switch your crafting professions to weapon and armor smiths, you don’t have to level them. Cursed shore and frostgorge are very easy zones to 100%. Once complete you will get 40x crafting materials for whatever crafting profs you are. With the 2 smithings you will most likely get 40 orichalcum. That just about enough for a crafted exotic. Now of course you will need to either buy or farm the wood and whatever crafting material the stats require. But if you 100% another zone you can get another 40x ori and sell that to cover costs.

Cool I’ll try that, thanks

Rizzy.8293

I don’t want to bash either side, but different players enjoy different aspects. Since GW 2 is perfectly catered toward me, I thought I would explain why and how I may differ from those desiring a gear treadmill.

I grew up playing Nintendo, then Sega Genesis. Believe it or not, to a lot of you whippersnappers out there, we never had the magical ability to “save” our progress. Nothing we earned would stick. No gear, no achievements.

And yet, I still spent hours and hours playing Streets of Rage over and over again. Why? Because I enjoyed the gameplay!

There used to be a day when FPSs also didn’t have a reward system. Ok, maybe you’d unlock some things like new weapons, but as soon as the console turned off you had to start from scratch again. I played a lot of Team Fortress Classic on the PC, and nothing ever saved. I wasn’t playing for gear, I was playing for fun.

So granted, when Everquest and Asheron’s Call came out, I was stoked. This concept of an RPG where you constantly enhance your character was fresh and wonderful. I can play to have fun AND save my rewards? Amazing!

This continued even through WoW. However, after a while, I started to realize a painful truth. I started to hate “playing” WoW. I mean, sure, it was fun at first. But then when the instances and raids continued, I realized I was excited NOT by “playing” the raids, but at the hopefulness of getting better gear. I started to hate the gameplay, but wanted the rewards. 2 Expansions later, I truly realized that at the end of the day, this treadmill would never end. It was the same stale gameplay, but they just keep putting more carrots on a stick for me to chase.

Now some of you still love this idea. GREAT! WoW is a FABULOUS game, and caters perfectly for you. But for people like me, who are sick of constantly trying to get “that better piece of gear” and want the gameplay, this is our game.

Personally, I love WvW. I played Planetside for years, and for the longest time I was at max level and never gained a THING…I played it because I loved it. WvW is the same way, I play it because I love it. It’s also wonderful to know that since max level gear is so easy to get (even if the easy stuff looks like crap lol) there is a level playing field. Anyone that played on PvP servers in WoW and enjoyed griefing lower level players, you probably aren’t even reading this because you left GW 2 already.

Now the stuff I farm for is gear that has a cooler look to it. However, I’m not running on a treadmill…I’m playing the game I want to play, saving the rewards I get, and using them to buy cooler skins. A game is done right when I can play for several days, and not only do I completely IGNORE my level bar (I thought I was 74 for a couple days when really I hit 80, I never even bothered to look), I’ll play WvW for hours, and never even check how many badges I’ve gotten. I can do this because I’m not in a WoW battleground getting insta-stomped by someone with better gear than me, and I’m just counting the amount of honor I have to purchase more gear while dredging through the battlegrounds before I have enough rewards to have fun in them.

TL-DR Version: We are all different people, who should be respected, and while I prefer GW 2’s gameplay, it is understandable why you would prefer WoW. But please don’t try to turn GW 2 into WoW, and never think your dreams and desires are the same as everyone else’s.

Yup I hate the WOW go get that gear

Thats why we have the exotic set from Crafting in GW2
Why?
Because at level 80 this is supposed to be yor baseline set.

Don’t believe me? Check out the stats for the 2. Quite a big difference if you add up all 6 parts + 2 weapons, those dungeon gears? Yeah they’re the aesthetic skins.

Now if Rares and Exotics were akin to Guildwars’s Elite and Non elite armours whereby Elite and Non Elite share EXACTLY the same baseline stats and where elite is just a fanciful skin, That’s fine. Perfectly fine.

But this is not the case, now the problem people are having is that its really hard for them to get the baseline set, even the crafted ones which costs in the range of 16gold for materials.

Id say its a valid concern for them.
There wasn’t even an inflation at the time a now we have a massive recession.

That was not the answer to the question I asked.

And explain to me why Ultima online is such a raging success right now. (Let me indicate some sarcasm if you didn’t get it because who plays UO now?)

and

So the manifesto in GW2 is, hey we’re gonna make you pay a some ingame money for trying out our ingame activities but not give you any ingame money as incentive so you can continue to go on playing our game without somehow miraculously finding an exotic weapon somewhere and selling it on the TP for some gold?

But thank you for the concern with my gaming skills.

Ah right so by the time the patch was implemented you werent greatly effected then. you just needed 3 or 4 more runs to get those 100 tokens So what that other guy from the dungeon forum has said about them creating a gap between fresh and veteran 80 is true.

When you support something that denies other players from attaining your status that you hardly had to work for pre patch, come on lets face it, now theres anti multiple dungeon runs and anti farming, its pretty hard for the new 80s to get to your status and forces them to grind harder thats called Elitism.

To be fair it didn’t affect me much either, considering on the very day they implemented this patch I had just got my final item, a longbow but I can still see the concern amongst players who now have to work harder than you or I to get to this level. It’s unfair.

If you feel like you’re done playing on your guardian and thats why you’re starting over on a new engineer toon, then good for you, I hope you appreciate the easy time you had on your guardian and enjoy new journey with your engineer

I agree that CoF is now not really fun, pretty hard and actually not worth the effort. They should’ve just nerfed the reward instead of buffing the whole dungeon.

But if you really really really want that skin, you gotta login, try to find some other path, other strategy or maybe other people to play with. You gotta handle it because I don’t think you can wait for ANet to nerf it back if you really, really want that skin. When you want something a lot, you just start fighting for it. I mean at least I do.

About my engineer, no. I don’t really enjoy leveling it. I’ve created it two weeks ago or so and it is just level 10

I must admit that lately, I’ve been logging in to the game far less than I used to do. But that’s my fault. Even though I wasn’t in a rush, I was on holiday and I had nothing else to do but play GW2. So now I have to wait for a content update

Does this give me the right to flame on forums? I don’t think so.

I wasn’t in a rush either when I got from 1 to 80 in 7 days, thats basically 10 levels a day and I take a break and people assume Im rushing?

And I have to remind them that different people play at different paces, if you play slower than me Im not going to assume you’re a worst player just because you’re playing slow, its just your pace.

They’ll find a way
But they still have the right to let Anet know about their issue and I’m not going to tell them to stop complaining, they bought the game and they wanted something they can enjoy from it, thats only fair.

please consider..

@rizzy

I have a level 80 guardian with 100% world completion, full set of exotic weapons and armors, two level 400 crafting professions (armorsmith and weaponsmith), skins from two dungeons, a bloodstone shard, recipes of gift of metal and gift of light…

aaaand a level 10 engineer.

And how did you manage to pay for your exotic and get those armour skins?

My first exotic set was through my armorsmithing, draconic set. And then I exchanged my 1,5g for gems to buy primeval set from TP. While I was playing, I was earning gold so I bought my weapons -I bought them before I got my weaponsmithing leveled to 400-

And then I saw molten greatsword skin, liked it, two days of CoF got me that awesome skin.

Yesterday, I got twilight arbor’s helmet skin.

You can do these too if you log in to the game instead of whining on forums. If you already have those, what’s up with the hate?

And also how did you come across 16+ gold to craft that or did you farm the mats?
And you did COF prepatch?
Prepatch I would assume?

I’ve made 100 CoF tokens after the patch.

I farmed crafting materials like, one or two hours a day for a couple of days, not even a week.

World completion is necessary if you want gold. Especially areas above level 70 give you nice completion rewards. Well enough to get exotics at least.

Ah right so by the time the patch was implemented you werent greatly effected then. you just needed 3 or 4 more runs to get those 100 tokens So what that other guy from the dungeon forum has said about them creating a gap between fresh and veteran 80 is true.

Thank you for your intelligent post. Sound like some fair points you bring up. I just ask the player base to discuss any issues they have with the game in a respectful manner. The game is still very new, and every MMO released has some growing pains when a mass of people start to play the content.

What bothers me is are posts containing comments like : “the game sucks”, “end game is none-existent” . It does not add the conversation and does not help ArenaNet add/fix features we feel are missing or unfairly balanced.

So lets show the devs and fellow players respect. ArenaNet have put a lot of hard work into the game, taking many risks in design. Lets tone down the anger and talk about the game, and how we would like to see it grow. We are in this for the long haul, right?

Either way, for or against the patch you have both sides with literate people who are capable of getting their points across civil and eloquently, we just choose to see more of the negative ones to give our side more credit.

Badly written up posts bother me too even if they share my concerns but weather they do or do not, I try to understand where they’re coming from and yeah I’m in it for the long haul, I paid 70 dollars for this game and to have it turn into nothing more than a 40 dollar game (guildwars entire set) where I just come online to PVP and experience the story once, in this game twice.

Im trying to enjoy the PVE but I can’t because the game wont let me, because it wants me to do something else, It wants me to go unlock more of my map and all the other stuff, follow the vistas, loot corpses and hope by doing things like that I break even and make a tiny profit.

And worst, CRAFTING, I hate crafting, This was the reason why I loved guildwars, there were CRAFTERS you didnt have to worry about crafting, you just had to find the materials give it to them, and voila, pretty armour with max standardized stats.
And mind you 15Platinums was just the cost to pay to make the armor, the materials themselves cost an arm and a leg, and it wasn’t easy either to make the money, but the beauty about guildwars was. I loved PVP, I could use my PVP rewards to fund for crafting of my elite armour and Elite Armour in guildwars was just that, purely aesthetic, if you compared them to normal 1.5plat armour they have exactly identical stats, which is not the same as Exotics vs Rares in guildwars2

Every single MMO I’ve done I never bothered touching that mechanic, Colin Johanessen said “I swung a sword, I swung a sword again, I swung a sword hay hay thats great” sarcastically to describe the current grind trend of MMO, heres my take on crafting, “I made an 8slot bag, I made an 8 slot bag again, I made another 8slot bag hayhay thats great”

All I wanted was to do the dungeon, once or twice a day after gearing myself up to get a little pocket money for using waypoints and a form of insurance incase something bad happens when I go explore the world… I cant even do that now.

And it’s not very respectful when someone goes, “Maybe this game is not for you go play [insert game here]” Im not saying you do it, Im pointing this out incase any “fanperson” here resorts to that tactic and expects another person to show them respect when they’ve disrespected the fact that another person has spent money on something they would have loved to invest time in.

@rizzy

@ Rizzy- just because people don’t agree with you does not mean we don’t know what we are talking about.
Is it such a hard concept to grasp that there are actually people who enjoy playing the game for what it is?
Not everyone enjoys the same thing.
Loot is not an issue – it is a perceived by some players to be the reward for playing the game. It is not- it never was.

Same with money- why do you want to be rich in a game? To feel you have achieved something?
All my chars are flat broke- I mean not even 10 sliver broke- do I care?
No, why should I- if I really want money to buy something specific sure I’ll go get it, but to have it sit in my bank so I can say I’m rich? I couldn’t care less.
This attitude of, if I don’t get rewarded, I won’t play is really saying that you want GW2 to be a game it was never supposed to be and GW2 is in fact trying very hard to get people out of that mind set.
There are literally hundreds of games out there that does depend on loot/ money/achievements. Why should the one game that does not become like them?

Rich?
We’re not even able to meet ends meet.

Im glad you enjoy being broke, I really do.
But for someone who wants to play with their friends and having friends in different parts of tyria its either run to them or burn money and hope what we do together makes up for the money ive burnt so I break even.

Same here, its not like the money we’re making is causing inflation.
Most of it goes into our gear upgrades, travel costs, food and armour repairs.

Basically what they’re doing now is causing recession.
No one wants to buy anything coz money is extremely tight.

In my opinion, the game mechanics prevent progress

Pretty much, this game mechanic also prevents fun.
Because Fun…. COSTS money. :|

Be it waypoint traveling or messing up once in a dungeon, getting killed in wvwvw
So much more, the taxes are insane for the low cash flow

Not at all, I’m still at 45 percent world map, incase you havent realized it yet most people who have hit 80 are upset about the ingame high tax and the ingame low cash flow.

And to people who say to us, JUST WALK, we’re actually having no choice but to walk if we dont want to break our wallets, it’s not even funny anymore.

Why did we like doing dungeons?
It’s challenging, its fun, its a secure stable cash flow to meet the ingame taxes.

Why are we not doing dungeons anymore?
1) if you die your repair costs can go from 3 silvers to 20silvers, basically making it so you pay in the end.
2) rewards at the end of the dungeon is what? 3 for story and 16 plus diminishing returns in the end for EXP mode? No thanks Id rather not take the gamble of dungeons. knowing that the reward for success is not even a reward really.

The whole LOOT issue, that issue lies with people who are in magic find gear trying to find loot, and I can understand them too with the whole diminishing rewards on killing mobs in the environment. Why are they being punished for using a system created for treasure hunting, something they enjoy doing?

So if you want to support all these changes that alienate casual players and dedicated players alike just so you can have guildwars2 to your own, be my guest.

Not gonna stop you.

But at least know what you’re talking about.

Haters’ reasons:

1. Being a fanboy. Being a fanboy indicates lack of intelligence.

2. Ragequit and Nerdrage. People who don’t have anything else in life than computer games go really angry when they experience or encounter something difficult, too difficult, challanging or you name it, could be anything.

3. Impatience. Some(most) people are impatient and you can do nothing about it. They spend real money to achieve success in a game because they want things to happen too soon. Once they acquire every nice item in a game in weeks, they start complaining about there being no endgame.

4. Denial. Some of them just really like the game but somehow, they just can’t succeed it or things just get more difficult than they can handle. They really wanna succeed but they just can’t figure it out like, they keep getting owned by the same profession in PvP and they swing the hate on forums and demand a nerf.

5. Worry. This has probably the least percentage among haters but it still stands there. Some worry about a new game will crush their favorite game or steal players from that game or just is better than that game. This is like denial, but more like worrying about the future of your favorite game.

Now, why hate is not necessary:

1. GW2 is a brand new game. It’s only been four weeks since it was released. Every new game has flaws, issues, bugs, problems etc but ANet has shown that they address problems quite fast and they really care about our ideas and suggestions.

2. Since this is a new game, ANet needed to see how fast the content gets consumed, finished. You may finish the release content in two weeks, but don’t forget, there are people who haven’t finished it yet. That doesn’t mean GW2 lacks content just because you’ve played 8+ hours a day and finished it in two weeks. Of course, content updates will be received.

1) Fanboys do have a lack of intelligence and often come up with the reason Oh you’re just not enjoy the game like its supposed to be, often referring to themselves enjoying certain aspects of the game.
They say things without knowing for a fact if what they’re saying is a fact. To all those people who don’t have fully geared exotics on your toons, how do you know for a fact that it does not increase your damage output/survivability?

2) So we should just smile and nod when a game developer decides, right we’re gonna remove your rewards now for doing any content in the game, but we’re still gonna keep the ingame tax pretty high, so you’re gona have to walk around the map to get to places.

3) Really? Who would do such a thing spend money to get ingame gear. I mean I know people who did it to get cosmetic skins, especially pre patch without spending a single real dollar because money was still pretty easy and reasonable to comeby.

4) How do you measure your level of success? I would like to know if I am on par with what you say is a successful player.

5) Im not worried at all, I know fanboys and fangirls with obnoxious attitudes who cant see any fault in anything that their favourite developer has done and will mindlessly back them up like the orrian mobs. But I dont know if Anet is going to be able to get profit out of this type of crowd because you mentioned spending money is for losers.

*Why theres no hate *

1) To criticize something is not to hate something, its to give a structured comment on why something is not working out, what you’re doing is making assumptions on why it will work out without knowing how that particular change is effecting people.

2) So what you’re saying is, people should play as slowly as you and play at your pace?
Do you do marathon runs? Do you think the ones running faster than other people are rushing to finish the marathon or do you think they just run at a faster pace?
Why do you think they should slow down, and in that case why should players slow down their own pace of playing to match yours?

And now my question to you is.
Are you level 80, have you completed Arah
Are you geared up in full exotic

If the answer to any of these is no, please kindly stop talking like you know what you’re talking about because these changes that people are upset about, do not effect you.
:)

First thing I want to say so no one can say I’m wow thinking is one I came from GW1 not wow. 2 unless your level 80 do not talk about the taxes as way points cost too much, so does armor repair(note this is to the point I have been walking across multiple maps to get where I am going to keep from paying the fee). I agree with them this pushes people to play WVW or spvp unlike GW1 in gw1 you could chose to play pvp, ab, gvg, and jq just to name a few, but you did not have to. That is not the case here today i was in the world as a level 80 and did not gain very much gold it just did not happen. Before the dungeon patch I did different dungeons and had some of my favorites two. I was able to maintain my equipment, and have fun with friends, but now I find myself watching to see if there is a chance of dying before helping someone as the repair bill makes it not worth helping. This also makes me not want to go to lower level areas as I still have to pay the repair bill as a level 80 even if I was to die in a level 5 area. Where the level 5 I am helping only pays a few copper, and the coinage I get there does not match the bill not even close. The issue is that there needs to be balance as I know today I did not even clear making a gold, but I know people that where getting 1g drops in wvw. Yes I know about the repair bill there as well. You might ask why post all this my point is I hop the developers see then understand that it not just new players that are having issues, and will work on the economy balance between wvw and pve as not everyone want to wvw all the time. Some of us this bought this game that has lots of potential, and is a lot of fun to do things in the pve side. I will continue to play hoping that these changes will come in time. I will also like thank the developers for all the time they have put in this game as it show yes there is bugs, but that takes time to fix.

You will always have fanboys who are not level 80 or geared up trying to tell you how to play your level.
I have one right now.

And yes the ingame tax is insane.

And explain to me why Ultima online is such a raging success right now.

And thanks for your suggestion of playing D3, I played diablo1 and 2 and had fun on them, they were great games at the time of release but not anymore, So I rather not touch Diablo 3.

Sure I can do all the dungeons I want but why would I?
No reward, Monotonous grind, High risk factor.

Have you done the Dungeons? How many times do you have to swing your sword at a trash silver mob?

How many level 80s have you got, can you tell me how much it costs for you to travel from Div Reach to Arah?

Also what do you do to make up for the wp fee?

Do you “farm” DEs?

Read again what I said about what is grindy in this game.

And yeah I guess my life is pretty sad that I dont find the same boring activities as you fun and expecting a game to cater to some level of fun for me.

Nope not true, you’re gonna need your baseline gear which is the level 80 exotics which increases your damage output’s base damage by atleast 400 – 800 base damage, not including crit damage and everyones healths is about 13 – 15k, so 400 – 800 base damge increase is a big number.

@Avatar. Not gonna lie, but if this is how GW2 handles its PVE content with more monotonous grind and restricts me on which grind I want to, then yeah it’s deffo not the game for me.

BUT the problem I was lured in by it’s manifesto and various other dev interviews promising to atleast reduce such a chore.
