Based upon how dominant JQ is against their opponents this week that doesn’t seem like a bad idea, but it won’t happen.

I saved up gold and I had to leave T2 because it got extremely boring. Having better fights in T3-4 at the moment. Do agree, don’t think anet would risk losing any potential gem purchases for players transferring up to these plump servers gorging themselves with ppt with the hopes of staying/being in T1. Silly to me.

Close all those servers, including JQ.

True true, i’d guess Tier 1 servers would mean activity 24/7. But excuse my ignorance, aren’t they like Zerg all day long? Or is there really possiblity for Havoc squads for example?

I would not recommend any server in T1-2 currently.

There’s a few guilds to chose from on SOS and will publicly recruit, which is very nice to see. Think you’ll find what you are looking for.

CD may work for you as well because they seem to have numbers during the day/night with many havoc crews. Even NS has a few havoc crews who are half way decent at small scale roaming.

Yea, i’ve heard of SoS, actually played agaisnt them sometimes on SBI, i will consider them don’t know if the community is friend,y though

I’d say its comical in a good way so far with a homey feel I guess. My second account is on SBI and I like them as well. SOS is definitely one of those weirdo servers with funny people you can get along with.

I don’t think they have the staff or proper time to dedicate to the game mode so it’s treated as a “spare time” thing.

There are servers that still care and actually have server meetings 10 minutes before reset if community is still a thing to you. Other than that, the game mode is headed in a very poor direction unfortunately.

Sorry to disagree, they are rather easy to obtain. And I solo roam the majority of the time.

It’s just not a mode they really care about currently. A lot of their staff and I mean a large percent are dedicated to the expansion work.

Not sure why they just don’t disable it. Takes very little effort or time to do this.

yer but it was introduced to the game for a reason. this is the reason. it’s mass contagion, it is supposed to do what it is doing – mass infestation.

if anything, decrease condi power but equally nerf condi cleanses of classes like warriors and guards.

I hate to see IMMUNE whenever I cast a condition on someone. it is not a physical skill that should be blockable!

Oh don’t get me wrong, I love the skill as a main necro for small scale fighting. But it is rather annoying to see immune. It’s like poking someone with a dirty needle contaminated with the plague and the person says “I don’t think so, I drank orange juice today!”.

From what I hear, they want to create smaller wvw maps and populations I guess. There’s word of gvg but honestly, gvg is dead and that train left a long time ago. it’s a bit clueless on their part yet again whoever they a listening to. Plans of big class nerfs are in Dec and Jan, reapers are getting hit hard. 3/4 of the staff is apparently working on an expansion. That’s all I hear and always take with a grain of salt cause its gossip.

I’m guessing crow fall on the horizon has them concerned because it is an attractive game for wvwers who like mass pvp. I’m sure it wont be shiny and smooth like gw2, but it is interesting how they have anti-zerg ideas in place and diverse class roles to support guilds. Diversity is what players want, and wvw doesn’t offer it anymore IMO. Too many classes have access to skills that were once exclusive to another. HoT seemed to really do a number on wvw, its like we went backwards.

Plenty of players have amazing ideas on here. Diku comes to mind.

Honestly, I think a lot of us are just waiting on another mmo and hanging around wvw for the time being. Let’s be honest. Love wvw, but its like dating an drug addict.

Usually people lag very very hard if people activate the new Kodan tonic nearby. The new kodan tonic causes a memory leak and when people waypoint or use skills it intensifies those issues unless you close and reopen gw2.

Did anet acknowledge it might be an issue? If so why not remove just that one from wvw?

More of a roamer if that helps, don’t really hang with zergs much and not into those 3 way smc fights.

I believe that’s called EoTM…. and we all know how much ‘fun’ that place is… not.

I spent about an hour there yesterday leveling up my wvw watching a commander praise himself on wiping a group smaller than our zerg and talking about how his commanding style is unique. He then went on to say he is well known for wiping zergs and using tactics to outsmart the enemy zergs. He also loved setting up siege in every tower and defending.

If that is the future anet is planning, a 3 hour match with commanders like these I’m quitting the game.

It was incredibly boring, dull, and uneventful for the most part.

Dbl was voted in and not getting removed. There is also a possibility of another unique bl map to be added because it was voted in.

I could care less if the dbl was voted in. the same people voted for cannons. Can’t wait till people vote cannons in to stay. Another 10 guilds will quit this game.

Is there even 10 guilds left? I’m wondering if there were ever actual number of votes/voters for the polls compared to how many actually play wvw regularly. A pve guild could have gone in for a mission for favor and got the poll because they ranked up and voted for dbl or cannons because they sounded cool but then they never play wvw again.

I really liked the idea of people with a certain rank only having the ability to vote. Then again…..EOTM kinda ruined ranking in the past years as many pvers loved the old karma train/leveling perk of zerging there.

I honestly don’t know what route anet goes, seems every move is questionable and has negative outcomes, not all but a big majority of them do.

Bunch of people have requested this before, including me. Kinda annoying when you’re roaming or dueling, even when group fighting to have a big announcement on the screen.

Players were met with “it’s not on the quality of life list”….whatever that is lol

Does anet provide a maintenance schedule? Or is it whenever they fell like it? I like when other mmos at least give you a heads up and provide a scheduled time frame. Seems much more organized in other mmos, just saying.

Today i fought a scrapper who was in stealth 95% of the fight and laid just about every condi in the game on me. I had zero chance on my necro.

Regardless of what feedback you get, I think all classes can be great at roaming. I’d try them all out and get a feel for what suits you.

Yes, the old system was very diverse and allowed a player to experiment with much more. Presently, HoT has shown very poor diversity in builds for not only wvw, but pve has been affected.

Another aspect is things got too fancy for my liking. There’s crap flying all over the screen and colors all over the kitten ed place. They made something so simple as combat into a laser light show of horribleness for what reasons I do not know. Upon that you get a nice giant screen message “BLACK GATE OWNS THE MAP MOTHER F….” never mind.

WvWers thirst for action/fights, diversity, community, guilds, and roaming challenges….something anet just can’t achieve in my insignificant opinion. It’s like they went backwards or they can’t dedicate resources to what the game needs for entertainment value.

I understand it’s been a rough last year plus for them, they’ve lost some key players to a certain competitor…and don’t infract me, it’s public information get over it. In addition, their quarterly reports don’t seem too healthy twice in a row. However, I believe their financial Q reports accountability falls on them.

It most likely has to do with all hands on deck for this new “faster expansion release” mentality. Seems like their time is dedicated to this philosophy while players fade from the game. Whatever it is, kinda sad to see because this is the first mmo I truly enjoyed for quite a long time and never felt so connected to a community in wvw. Appears to be all erased by some poor decision making and a HoT xpac that didn’t deliver.
