TAXes for waypoints, TAXes for repairs, TAXes for listing items in trade post, TAXes for collecting your items/golds from trade post, hidden TAXes for mining/gathering/choping/salvaging/transmuting and now TAXes for guilds?
Soon you will want a TAX for war expenses of each race. They are at war, aren’t they?
Maybe a TAX for the Queen, Warband, School, Pale Tree and Wild Spirits?
How about a Road TAX for those who don’t want to use the teleporters?

Is this game made and run by banksters and politicians? Can’t a fantasy world be a tax FREE world? People, wake up and stop worshiping taxes more than your own life (gameplay)

World transfer delay - Wrong solution

actually guesting was in the game in beta, but i think having 2 millions players in the game requires more refining at the coding.

For your information, what I said it is not “guesting”. In the “guesting” feature they only let you transfer to a server if you have some one in there sending you the invite. You can’t go by your own. It was like this in GW1. I didn’t need any friend in Russian server to go there, or in German server , or in Korean Server, etc. This guesting feature will only be good for those who actually know people in there otherwise is a non-existing feature for the others

Today I looked at the server list just out of curiosity. Most of them were full and high. Only two of them appeared as “medium”.

Why not have A SERVER and more districts and people can travel to them anyway they want like in GW1. When you want to go to WvW, they will ASK you what world do you want to represent and you will get a warning that you can’t represent another world for the next “N” hours.
It is that simple. People can jump freely to any server (district) they want in US or EU and enjoy PvE with anyone around the game and ask a charge of gems if people want to represent another world in WvW before the initial timer ends.

Waypoint costs have to go.

Yea, you are right, 250 years after GW1 people got more greedy and money lovers so they NEED make profit from an invention that the whole world should benefit from: Teleportation. This is how it happens with water engines in RL too They are hidden away coz the Oil Lords need to fatten their belies. C.mon, it a fantasy game for God’s sake, why should it be ruled by banksters too?

Option to "Turn off experience gain" for gathering/crafting, etc.

As an anti-suggestion: if you add the option to have no exp from the gathering/crafting… also add an option: “Receive Exp from those who don;t need it”

This can be totally abused. People could just spam reports so others will be busy to answer the Quiz then fighting. Some people like to be mean

A solution could be that if a character is reported by several accounts the game will automatically disable any automatic attack on that character with a cooldown timer of 15 min for not being able to re-automatize any skill

Teleporting was free in GW1. It should’ve stayed the same or removed completely. The way they are designed right now, the waypoints are an enforced gold farming system: you played the game and you don’t want to do anything then just teleport from point to point to see if there are interesting things going on and so you are soon out of gold. So you need to start farming events to get back the gold you lost by teleporting.
This is a frustrating mechanic. After beating the game, I might jsut want to relax in the game and see what other are doing, why should I still farm for having the posibility to explore the world again?
In GW1 you could teleport all day long to different towns and see if anyone needs help.As in GW2, help is almost never needed, why charge us for just teleporting around the game world?

1 dollar for a basic weapon skin? I rather say 10 cents and that would be too much.
But your idea is very nice. It will make more easier for players to decide what skins they should put on their weapon sets having them all gathered in one place.
I would make this as an character based, not account because in this way it will stock out only the respective profession weapons. They are so many for one profession
It can be called: The Armory and every new weapon skin you equip – not just acquire, will unlock it for that character.

Duels are fine with a default auto-decline option.
Duel kills should not have an effect on achievements or on death counter.
Duels should be allowed in every place and the spawning mobs should count on agro too. If you hit them they will attack too.
Duels should have an option to accept new contestants so it can be group based everyone for himself
Duels should have an option to abandon fight.

Noooo, leveling is too slow in my opinion. At 1-2h/day gameplay I get to lvl 80 in 6 months maybe. So don’t make me get it in 1-2 years, please

Agreed! We definitely need such a feature as long as there are no profession requirements for grouping. A party option for queuing would be needed too if you want to go there together with a friend.

That free pizza thing was hilarious I would also add: free exp while offline, lvl 80 character buy able in cash shop.

We are not in stone age anymore where people were doing everything by themselves.
Nowadays who wants to cook the food, can do that, who doesn’t, just orders it
Who wants to go by foot, can do it, who doesn’t, can use the public transport. etc.

OMG, the new players were so disadvantaged by this mechanic in GW1, They all HAD the need to have destroyer, tormented and oppressor weapons. They were so frustrated they didnt have enough golds to buy them that the game is still active after 7 years and even now when GW2 is out. GW1 was and is different than any game out there. GW2 isn’t. What a shame!

If you adore so much these levels, why not try Jade Dynasty… you have 150 +150 levels to achieve. That feels more rewarding, isn’t it?

Getting lvl 80 in a week^^..
Deth, try to do that with 1 h/day gameplay without having crafting materials sent to you by other players. You know, there are people who have other things to do than stay in-game 24/7. I am not saying “get a life” because that is so outdated – outside life sucks more than the in-game life – but still you are forced by the nature of things to do different things in the outer world like working, cooking, sleeping, etc.

And for Qaletaqa Hania, I am not trolling. I felt really good in GW1 with a cap level obtained in 10h and didn’t bother about level requirements anymore. I can prove this by my 15 characters who have done all the 3 campaigns + the expansion.

The best thing of GW1 was the low lvl cap. By the time you reached Lion’s Arch, you could be lvl 20 or if not, very close to it anyway. After that, the whole game felt challenging and you really didn’t bother about leveling anymore.
I am not saying the lvl 80 should be lowered to lvl 30 because I know there are people feeling good only if they see themselves having high level numbers over their heads, but make it in a way that you could reach it faster, let’s say, like by the time you are lvl 30 now and by story mode you have reached Lions Arch too.
In this way, you could make all the other arias into lvl 80 arias and the fight will be more interesting because you don’t bother about gaining levels, but just exploring
As the game is now, it feel really repetitive:
- you go one new aria
- fill up the hearts, poi and vistas
- buying/ getting better gear with your new lvl requirement
- doing the stoy-line of the respective level
And you repeat this process over and over again in any new aria and the game feels linear
Imagine that if you won’t have to do this like this after lvl 30 now. You willl be able to go on your story line and just do that until the end of it, or you could explore any aria in a non-linear way.
Placing level requirements/recommendations on anything give the levels a much more importance than it was intended initially by saying “no level grinding”
No matter how fun the events are, it is still grinding to get the respective required levels.

Why would anyone care if they would see a level 2 character wielding a super cool looking weapon wearing a super cool max armor as long as they don’t have the respective stats?
You could just add a code to the game that raises or lowers the weapon/armor starts based on your actual level so you can wield/wear them at anytime
As it is implemented now in the game, you can only buy form a Trade Post a cull looking weapon and than transmute its stats to a low level weapon, which you need to transmute again and again with every better weapon you find.
It feels like a rip of.
GW1 had this feature and no one cared about.

A personal opinion on all suggestions: They will most likely not be implemented. Why? The hacker, botting, banning activities of A-net will take all the resources they have for a long time if not indefinite.

Yea, they can down level you more so you will feel it as a Hard Mode, but if we combine it with the limitless completion times, this can be an unobtainable solution only if all the completions will have the same difficulty level after the first one.

Great Idea! It will be some sort of “unlock bonus mode” after beating the game. The same thing can go on over an over and they can give the “heats” different color and ranks.
So. after completing the 2nd time all the heart events, with the character, the hearts will empty again and will be filled up with a different color when done again.
Really good idea, again!

For such a great looking game as GW2 is, I can’t understand why they didn’t add a feature to record a video of your own fights. I know, many of you will say there are a lot of programs to do that, but…. these programs only record whats on your screen and not in an artistic way.
Well, another company implemented this in a great way in their new game. Here is the link to it in the official game guide of Age of Wulin and you can also watch on Youtube the Gamescon 2012 trailer made exclusively with this in-game recorder

Horrible idea.

Yea, sometimes I would like the game play itself and I can just watch it or record it. After a working day in real life, the game should be regarded as a relaxing activity, not just another type of work. The down leveling system, which is great, makes the game to be challenging in every zone at every level and the events are not letting you be, sort to speak, except when you are in a town. So for 30min/day I could just watch my character do the fighting and re;lax in the same time.

Everything is right what you say, only that there is no loot/mob stealing in GW2 with or without botting. If you participate, you get rewarded.

Ok, this may seem ridiculous to you but in reality it is functional.
They can add an official bot to the game. It will do exactly what a hack bot does: farming/grinding.
There is one game I know that has introduced it long time ago. It didn’t get rid of gold sellers, but it gave the opportunity for everyone to auto-farm the gold they need.
Check out Jade Dynasty and the Esper

The main purpose of an Esper is to Invigorate, otherwise known as botting. This allows the time requirements of high levels to exist without the frustration of the grind itself. Your character will be able to grind on hundreds or thousands of monsters while you are away, gaining EXP and picking up items by itself, while using healing items when its health is low.”

“These mysterious relics are one of the most important items you will encounter in Jade Dynasty. In addition to providing you with bonuses to many of your attributes, they also provide a means through which one can automate the otherwise tedious task of fighting monsters.”

So, instead of banning people for allegedly using bots, why not give everyone an official bot, so everyone can do it.
I don’t think it will ruin the game more than the bad reputation GW2 is getting now for banning people for no good reason.

For anyone that doesn’t know the game, please don’t start with hate comments before you have tested it in that game. You only need 10 lvl (~1 hour) to get it and than give your opinion about it.

Like in real life, drastic security measures are affecting only the honest people while the criminals are getting ways around it. From 2 million accounts sold, how many were actually caught bot-ing or exploiting? If there are 200.000 of them it will just be 10% of the total amount. So, for the 10% of criminals, the rest of 90% of honest players are suffering for nothing.
