Make an Armor Collector NPC, a Weapon Collector NPC and a Costume Collector NPC in race towns that will save all the styles your account has unlocked. Something similar to the Rewards NPC from HoM. Talking to these NPCs will let you chose what ever skins you like to transmute. Also, they can save space by transmuting all in one click not piece by piece. The prices for the skins will be either free if the transmuting stones are still usable, or it may cost gems / golds / stones depending on what pleyer wants to use for it
Allow me to pay other players "in-game" money for "in-game" services

Well, GW1 had this and it didn’t hurt anyone. People were buying runs to LA, Droks, etc. plus mission runs and also dungeon runs. It was perfectly legal and in this way A-net has gained a lot of players wanting the HoM awards.
I miss those “LFR to LA, 2k” I was not a runner, but i took that service a 2 times and it felt really ok because it was skipping content which I wouldn’t do with other characters once again.
Even if GW2 storyline is different, in the end its the same story and there are no shortcuts through it so it gets boring really fast to level up more characters
I really don’t understand why it is so bad in the producers minds that if waypoints were free sabotages the entire (fake) game economy after all.
Why can’t people travel around the whole map freely without forcing them to do events for getting the money back?
I thought there was no grinding in this game as they advertised it, but it seem thet only if i want to travel to different places and see what happens, I need to have a “grinding session” to be able to do that. Shamefull !
I know its not related to the topic, but PvP should be outlawed in everygame. it only teaches people of all ages that violence to others is ok and war is just a fun activity. I am sure none of the game producers or players who design or play this types of games in the market have actually been in a war with bullets flying all around and corpses lying down everywhere or have lost a dear friend/brother/sister in there. Its ridiculous how people talk easily about siege weapons when they have never experienced and survived a huge explosion from close range. And the reply “its just a game” wont answer the problem it induces into people’s subconscious. That is what i had to say. Thank you for reading.
I would rather have 1 tool with durability meter and depending on what thing you mine/chop/gather it will reduce its durability accordingly. Let’s say a 150 Durability would be ok Some plants will take 5 durability in one gather, other will just take 1, 2, 3
They might add the other features, but not red dots on minimap. They stated that they want you too look the world not the interface to see what is going on
The social interaction in this game is a total failure. If you dont have friends to play with, the other strangers just ignore you
II. No it is cheap. You are just poor
III. Don`t care I always run with guldies.
II. You are just a spoiled kid with no respect for other.
III.Your parents/brothers/relatives/schoolmates might be actually playing the game for you while you are watching Family Guy on a 47" LED TV stuffing up your belly with cheeseburgers and sodas.
and now on Official Post.
I agree with all the remarks.
You say in 3 month there will be ghost servers.
I say, in less then a year, if the social interaction in this game between strangers wont be seen as a big issue that needs to be fixed, the “mercenary pack” from GW1 will find its way into the cash shop. Cheer’s!
A complaint implies a suggestion in reverse so for those who know, it is a suggestion but its rather showing what is lacking then filling in the holes with the generic “It should have X”
Things that gets me frustrated in GW2
1. The high level 80 which is not obtainable in 10h
2. The level restriction on weapons and armors
3. The non-skipping content philosophy vs cut scene skipping option
4. The Teleportation fees restricting you from a basic tourist journey
5. The party system which doesn’t have a leader or an altogether teleportation
6. The huge deserted cities with no attractions into them.
7. The lack of player to player interaction while selling/buying things
8. The no hero system that makes your journey feel as a single player game
9. The guild system which allows everyone to be leaders or join multiple guilds
10. The guild roster is just a simple list, no separation between ranks
11. The lack of visible guild emblems in the world
12. The linearity of the quests dressed up in renown events
13. The lack of quests that give you skills and no skill capturing mechanic
14. The repetitive feel of the first 5 weapon skills
15. The general feel that a fight could’ve been won even without you spamming some skills
16. The multitude of random material merchants spread out all over the game world
17. The crafting / gathering system that has no meaning other than getting experience and money
18. The invisible titles of players
19. The God walking amongst mere mortals is not a God anymore, but just a mere mortal – meaning the non important value of titles
20. The annoying camera angles for jumping puzzles or inside the buildings’ stairs
21. The repetitive transmutation system of the Hall of Monuments armor rewards
22. The replacement of districts with servers
23. The Home server restriction / server transfer restrictions
24. The costumes not ware-able in combat
25. The account bound system for costumes instead of a Costume Maker NPC
26. The account bank / storage almost useless due to teleportation fees and auto deposit collectables
27. The class restrictions for weapons
28. The lack of secondary profession change
29. The chaotic dungeon party LFG system
30. The map completion requirements system vs. Event farming mechanic required for leveling
31. The repetitive feel of the zones: hearts, waypoints, points of Interest, Vistas, Jumping puzzles
32. The square type of each zone in the zoomed out map
33. The lack of community help in personal missions due to level restriction and different storylines.
34. The non-existent direct benefits for your other characters coming from your first one
And for all these and more, I have got one answer:
“Guild Wars 2 is a totally different game”
:(
This issues is very annoying for jumping puzzles, especially if you have a very tall character like Norn or Charr.
I am ok, with trees blocking the view. I can hide behind them from ranger foes
OK, the title is a bit ambiguous. Let me explain.
Lets say that some one is in a guild that has already unlocked all the upgrades so he has the possibility to get a guild armor from the start so he can display the guild emblem in PvE. What does he do? He buys the skin and apples it to an existing armor.
But what can he do when he is level 80 and he has got his Cultural armor with 100+ gold coins? Will he ever transmute the guild armor to it? I guess not. So if he want to represent the guild, he needs to buy a new armor and use the guild armor skin on it.
This feels really restrictive and diminishes the possibility of seeing people representing their guilds
There are 2 solution to this problem:
1) Bring back the capes form GW1 and so we don’t need the guild armor anymore. iN this case the guild Armorer will offer different sorts of capes based on profession and guild rank of the player.
2) Make the guild armor skin auto- applicable to any armor the player wares in a non permanent way: In hero screen, next to the apply dye button, put a new button “show guild armor”. When a character is in a guild, that button can be equipped with the guild armor. In this way, a player will not be frustrated on which armor whould he ware: the one he worked so hard for or the one that shows off his guild
“LFG to do events/hearts/personal story together”
“what level are you?”
“Level 15”
“oh, I am lvl 2, can I join?”
“Sure, what you need to do?”
“Well, all of it, I have just started”
or
""LFG to do events/hearts/personal story together"
“what level are you?”
“Level 15”
“I am lvl 50. I have completed all these arias and I am pretty bored now, What you want to do?”
or"
“LFG to do events/hearts/personal story together”
“what level are you?”
“Level 15”
“Oh, cool, I am lvl 15 too. I want to go in a highlevel aria to level up faster”
This is not social interaction. Its called “taking advantage of the current situation” Anyone who is pretty lazy do do things on their own or they are too hasty in leveling up will jump right in and when they are done they go away even without a “thank you” or “nice meeting you”
No chat access.
So, if you are a total noob, how can you actually ask people for guidance? The “no chat” option is the most stupid restriction that can be added in any MMO.
It eliminates the social interaction between players. You can limit like 1 time / minute in world chat and have it unlimited in local (/s), party (/p) guild (/g) – yea, let free trials get into guilds so they may find new people to play with.
The no mail, no TP, no WvW are super sufficient as restrictions as someone said above
I agree with a 7 days / 14h trial as GW1 has. Its better to see if your computer can run the game then buy it and not be able to play it. This type of trial can appeal to the hard core gamer to play 14h straight or to the casual gamer who can have 2h/day for 7 days
I have added the Wayfarer Foothills ’s points of interest
I know that digital deluxe and CE had the same in-game benefits but how do we keep this philosophy and still show a difference between those who spent double on their game?
My suggestion is to write these players’ characters names in WHITE and if they are in some guild, the guild tag should be RED.
Its simple, its not creating disadvantages between players and it stands out in the crowd.
I haven’t bought a CE, but I would like to see in the world people who did
How are you going to dodge with point-and-click?
the dodge yellow gauge above the health orb is click able even now in the game.
I don’t understand how is this happening that an axe is broken after one cut in a tree?
They could have made these gathering tools based on durability. Buy an axe to cut the tree down and that axe has 100 durability, You can go and repair the axe or buy a new one. There should be one single axe for chopping all trees, but some trees will “ruin” it faster.
Why is it people who have never joined a guild, only been invited are considered "kicked" or "left"

@skirge
you are just missing an opportunity to join a guild by doing what you said. It is already difficult to understand that you need to represent a guild for many new player, so bothering to explain them before joining its a waste of time. Beside, who would waste time whispering to every player they encounter “will you join my guild?”
If they do recruiting in the map chat, then some frustrated loners will report them for spamming. If you don’t want to join a guild who sent you a random invite, its your choice, but as long as this is the easier way to get people invited in the guild, I think its the right mechanic.
and now on toipic: yes, I would like to see a “invitation declined” message just pop up in my screen when i invite some one. The same thing should apply to party invitations
I am just staying in request pending forever if i won’;t cancel it.
ArenaNet did not break away from the "kill 10 rats" quest structure.

Unless they take out the completing numbers, percentages, bars it will still be “kill 10 rats” mechanic disguised in a fashionable manner. The solution is given by the OP and it can be applied to other events too.
Why do we see a bar filling up when we do a collecting event and we don’t see a big pile of that item stacking up next to the NPC which required them?
I am playing this with a standard keyboard and a standard mouse (2 buttons and a scroll wheel) and i don’t see disadvantage or inconvenience during gameplay. I use melee asist option and all i so is click the foe and then use W A S R + right click hold to move and pressing skills either by mouse, either by numbers.
Sometimes I use both clicks hold to auto run.
Good point. I like this suggestion. I think they should make it default to see only your profession equipables and then to have an option to see others. Something like the options “gear” in Inventory window
Yes. Dungeons should be done like in GW1. All join, who leaves, leaves. No one gets kicked and no others join in the middle of instance.
a boss like this, i would like to see

I am not a puritan, I am not a narrow minded person but I am fully against calling marriage a society institution between same sex people. You can get laid with anyone you want if that is what you like, but same sex relationship can not be officially called marriage. Invent some other word for it.
Glad to see other people feeling the same way. Basically, once you finished the storyline, you have no reason to visit any place in the game unless you want to farm titles, armors, weapons,
Get out of here socialist!
Why not YOU get out of here, Mr. Corporatist ?
There should be events in the cities too: robbers, rebels, bandits, animals escaping from circus, zombie/ghosts attacks, malfunctioning golems, etc
My idea of a free tax game world:
1) monsters drop only what you need: armor, weapons, materials. (“need” means here things you can actually use, not junk, trophy, salvage which implies you need to sell them)
2) no Trade Post but Donation Post where players can put anything they don’t need( weapons, armors, materials that are other lvls than what they need
3) no “Sell junk” or “Sell” button, but “Donate all” or “Donate”
4) instead of asking gold, karma, skill points for buying elite armors etc, why not make them lvl req. There is no difference in farming events for getting 65k karma or15k gold or 170 ectos than getting to lvl 5000 requirement for a specific armor
and so on…
@burei.7102
Where there are no references to money, there is no inflation.
Why do we actually need to pay taxes in the game? Waypoint tax, trade post tax, repair tax and others I might not know about yet? Why? Who uses those money they take from us? Do they plan to put asphalt on the roads of Tyria? Do we pay those money to the Queen? Why should we do that for?
And don’t give me the reason of “game economy” because i don’t bite on that. The only reason i see for these taxes in here or in any game, is to “accommodate the young minds with the necessity of paying taxes in real world”
So, get rid of these artificial taxes that only increase the stress of the game codes and make a tax free virtual world, where every thing is free as it comes free.
Let’s have at least a few hours in our daily lives while playing this game and not think about paying taxes to each and everyone for everything we do because the game characters (or game makers) don’t ever use these commissions for anything that improves the world: no asphalt on roads, no free healthcare system, no public schools for teaching skills or how to play the game, no public transport system, nothing.
They just take those money so we don’t get too rich. Hmmmm… this really feels like another subliminal message they want to transmit to us.
Vote for a Tax-Free Virtual World !!
I see no one is interested in this option I suggested
Maybe I am the only one who actually likes the storyline and wants to experiment more race stories than rolling a new character from the beginning.
Did you consider the fact that the new players will accidentally disable it and then they will be completely lost in the game?
Give us back the heroes from GW1 so we could solo those dungeons without the desperate need of LFG and waiting for hours in lobbies, outside dungeons or any other type of ques.
I want to do that dungeon WHEN I HAVE time not when others have time.
How about the possibility to play another story with the same character after competing the fist one?.
Let;s say, at the end of the story, you get an option to redesign your biography and start again. but you will not be able to change the looks of your character (that can be done some other way)
In this way, players can play their favorite character over and over again though multiple storylines having the advantage of better gear and all unlocked skills.
They will not need to do again all the leveling (hearts, events, etc) they can just start and continue only with the story up till the end, and over and over, experiencing different choices in its own story.
This will let them bring other lvl 80 friends with them and do a co-op RPG together.
I dont think A-Net will add Marriage in the game because they don’t want to develop certain issues. C’mon, they call it “Wintersday Festival” not “Christmas Festival” even if in Chinese MMOs they do.
you are right. There are a lot of topics about this and it seem A-net isn’t too concern about it. It was a hard time to find people to play with in GW1 too. They were looking for specific build so they always kicked you out if you rolled a different one.
Make a hot-join dungeon system and then no one will be discriminated.
Its good tho, the dungeons are not mandatory to finish the game personal story
My logic failed so next time when I will enter your store as a customer I would like to see game DVDs, food and detergents on the same shelf. I am too lazy to go to search them in the whole store, so place them please all on the same front shelf.
And when the Consumer Commissions will come, you tell them that your customers want to have them all together like that. Let’s see then who will give a **** about customer benefit when confronted with the law
Make it like in GW1 mission towns. Add an icon that will represent your progress in that aeria Let say: a shield with 2 swords and 1 spear
- 1 sword for P.o.I.
- 1 sword for Vistas
- 1 spear for Waypoints
- 1 wooden shield turning into a metal shield for all Hearts completed
There is no way the developers could possibly know the strange order I prefer to sort things in…nor should they try to do so. -1
Good thing you don’t work as a store manager or anything related to sorting things out. It will be a total mess for your employees.
That would sort of defeat the purpose of all the special bags/boxes. Such as the craftsman’s bag.
I see the point. So, i rephrase the idea: Sort all things in their specific bags: axes near axes, swords near swords, etc.
(edited by Ronah.2869)
Good point. Now it only shows which players had more time to waste on grinding than how good they are.
I agree with the post, but not for the reasons mentioned
The present option “Compact” should be renamed “Compact and Sort” so it will so a sorting and rearranging in your bags, not only compact their positions.
In this way, the items will be sorted by types: weapons, materials, junk, boosters, foods, etc.
disable NPC dialog and bubbles…
did you actually think what you wrote or you just wrote to fill up a list? What would’ve been next? Disable audio and eliminate the cutscenes?
And all this trouble for some skins
In the end, why is there the game-gold after all?
There is no game economy. Its just a trick to make the game look more complex.
Nobody needs anything to produce something.
Nobody pays anyone to make those things.
A merchant will always buy the things from players and they will never sell them to anyone else. These things will just magically go back to the places where they have been taken from: a foe, a tree, etc.
So where do these merchants get the money to buy all the things from? They are not payed by anyone for the job they do. They just have money.
Well, guys, I’m sorry to break this to you, but the game economy its just a software that is programed to “print” or “burn” any amount of gold in different forms. The incomes are not materially sustained. No NPC gets richer or poorer, and 99.99% of the spawning foes will always have a loot on them. The rest are just for filling up the scenery.
And now to get to the point.
The economy can be expressed by A=B+C
where
A = money on foes, rewards etc
B = player’s inventory money
C = NPC merchants money
In this equation, only player inventory is variable (some save golds, some don’t) but the other two numbers are controlled by the software.
So, if we extract B=A-C and B always has a Max limit, so A and C will vary only between these limits.
The extreme cases are
1. B is maximum when all players have the inventory full at max 999g 999s 999c
2. B is minimum when no player will ever collect anything which would be 0g 0s 0c
In this way, payments on waypoints, trade sales, etc, are just making the system feel “real” when in reality its a matter of simple arithmetic
Point is, they don’t need any of this artificial costs, they can balance it by the merchants and foes. Rewards are a constant and TP is a money exchange between players’ inventories so they don’t change the equation
(edited by Ronah.2869)
You can’t because the “guesting” option isn’t enabled in the login screen yet. And that is why full server transfers aren’t paid yet. That option was supposed to have been enabled at launch.
Quote for GW2 WIKI
Guesting
Players will be able to visit other worlds as guests as long as they have friends on those worlds. Guesting is currently unavailable but is still a planned feature. This feature will be free, but guest players will not be able to enter World versus World PvP and the power of the Mists bonuses from their home world will continue to apply to their characters.
Very good concept indeed. They really need to add this in the game. I play a warrior and I always change weapon seats to develop different weapon master achievements alternatively
Arena Net also stated that you would be able to visit other servers for free whenever you wanted by using the “guest” option instead of the “transfer” option.
You CAN"T visit other servers unless you HAVE someone in there to send the “guest invite” The Districts for GW1 allowed you to do that free of charge.
