Many canthan people are left homeless after the invading “heros” destroyed everything.
Queen Jennah has decided to sacrifice her arena and make the land inhabitable for the refugees. We get to support a canthan representative to speak for his people. One promises us a discount on canthan designed weapons, the other cultural canthan armour.

Is there an estimated number out there how much better exotics are? Just curious.

At the end of the day all “evidence” here is anecdotal, but I do see claims quite often where people gotten the pre with rares.

I’m not sure if casting time would make sense – let me say this differently – would feel intuitive. I would have to watch the cast and then attack to get the heal.

I think it would flow nicer as an instant skill.

I think I read yesterday that they will be in the shop for another 6 days, which would be until the 10th for the next update. So if you mean friday tomorrow they should still be there.

Or just click on it and it will tell you how long ago the post was put up. I find that the most practical.

What would you propose and how do you see the promotions on the other various websites? If they are comparable/translatable to this format here.

No, no. Don’t get me wrong. I was not trying to say that raiding should be the way to obtain gear in Gw2. I was simply pointing out that RNG in this game cannot really be compared to WoW’s gear progression.

The RNG chance in this game means: Go chop wood!, because outside crafting, there is no reliable way to work towards ascended weapons/armor.

In WoW it was the other way around: Raid or accept not getting PvE BiS.

I would like to see more ways to work towards ascended outside crafting.

Oh agreed, there should be multiple ways of obtaining them, definitely as drops in fractals.

Ok, for example, I know there is a contest going on called “Rock the Nightmare”. There is nothing here, visible for me on this site that easily let’s me navigate to see the entries.

Yes, some post themselves their entries in the fan-based subforum, yes, under the “community” tab there is the main overview site … curiously enough you have to go to the main page first to see that, doesn’t work from the tab on the forum site.

I’m sure it’s out there and I’m sure I would find it, but there is no ease of navigating – no link somewhere that screams “have a look at all the awesome entries from players of our awesome community”.

There could be, in my opinion, more buzz about these things with better exposure.

At least in WoW, you were sure something always did drop from the boss. Yes, you had to kill several times, but if you cleared the instance once a week, raiding was a reliable way to gear up an entire guild.

Regarding fighting other raid members for loot by /roll: That was true for the 5 man dungeons and in the pug version of the raid instances. Any organized guild I have ever been a part of, in that game, used DKP or loot council to assure a fair distribution of loot.

Yeah, don’t want to see that here, I am happy and content that I don’t have to raid. I don’t have a problem with not being able short term to outfit my 9 characters with ascended gear. Heck I don’t even have all in exotics even though I could. This is just me personally, I understand others would like the ascended to be more like exotics, but then what would have been the point?

Well, if it doesn’t heal for much then having traits for meditation might be a must for this skill to be … adequate.

If you could at least drag and drop your own unlocked dyes and/or from the TP, that would be an improvement.

I don’t have a “watchlist”, I just peruse and have a look at some obvious ones, ori, hardened leather, gossamer. Silk is slowly coming – nothing too serious.

Anyways, I just love those graphs spiking up right after the news hit. I find it funny, as if the nodes would be gone tomorrow.

If Arena wants to support their streamers and expose them to us, then they should make room on this site for them.

It is one thing if the players themselves are scattered over 10 different sites and if there are 20 other info sites available for maps, gear, achievements etc etc.

Obviously there is a matter of personal taste and/or the advantage of some different features on other sites, be it feeds or a working search function.

This is not the news and this is not a matter of being personally able to find information, it is a matter of Arena claiming to supporting those people and I personally don’t see that. Because I don’t care to peruse 3-5 different “official” sources from the same company on the same subject just because they don’t unify their stream (no pun intended) of information.

At least their own twitch channel get’s a bit more information in the news feed on the side.

Even maybe a sticky in the linksville section might help a bit. Active streamers/youtubers sorted by topic (if possible).

Make them visible somehow, maybe even their own site under community above.

Edit: This is not meant in a negative way – I simply don’t “see” it which means whatever support there is it could be more effective/visible.

I don’t know, I don’t count. I crafted maybe 32 weapons, otherwise I flush lvl 80 rares that I pick up, perhaps around 200 over time.

Nah, same deals same situation. The only thing that would have changed is Evon supporters would feel validated and they could complain about an Abbadon fractal being “ruined”.

Well … I usually don’t do the Queensdale champ train for more than a round … but you can hardly beat it for the monthly. Champs, Group Events, Events and the crafting with luck. Pays for itself and you increase your luck.

I for one am happy that Mr. Sparkles was not added to the black lion chest random mix, but instead a guaranteed “reward”. Remember, you are not buying the mini, you still have your 4k gems for other things.

Dungeons start around your level currently, fractals are for lvl 80 – but they have an internal level, which is what they were referring to (so you start doing fractals and the more you do your level goes up and you can do more challenging fractals etc).

(Edit: It seems I am wrong about the character level for fractals… some stuff has changed recently too, but I’m pretty sure they were not looking for a character lvl 27)

I don’t know much about PvP but I would recommend you try out WvW, which is maybe more what you are thinking about in terms of battlegrounds (but WvW is not short term matches).

No, they are just an initial skin you get and often unique.

Many create characters just with the purpose of obtaining said starter skins, they then transfer the skin to a white low level item to make it account bound and delete that character afterwards. Now you can use this item, regardless of profession, within the same armour class on other characters.

Example – your ranger or engineer could wear the anonymity hood.

Scarlet turns out to be a dragon in disguise. Unfortunately for her the last experiment she was conducting forced her back into her true form – granted she destroys quite a few ship-houses in Lions Arch trampling around, but we get to defeat her in dragon form.

This might be a bad time, but the current T3 situation made me think of the masquerade armour again – and if they are re-skinning I would like to see this one on the BLTC.
Maybe with some dark glow/fumes? Doesn’t have to be – but I wouldn’t complain and just give them my money.

Don’t be too weary about guilds either, you can be in five guilds at the same time. Otherwise I could only repeat what was said already.

Edit: Maybe one thing, you will never truly miss out on anything. Levels adjust dynamically so dungeons don’t become obsolete. It’s not like in Wow where you only do high level dungeons.
