“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
Well, I had a ‘crazy little thing called love’ for that spot, I’d run out screaming ’don’t stop me now!" The only time I’d leave is if there was a ‘dragon attack’ and I’d be gone in a ‘flash’. You see, getting my legendary is a ‘long way’ off, but ‘you don’t fool me’ anet, you don’t want me to ‘play the game’
Ah well, ‘bohemian rhapsody’.
Jemmi, ’don’t lose your head’.
;)
It did, but it didn’t work, so it was removed until further notice.

I don’t see the point. Let’s say I would spend $20 and convert all of it into gold. That would be what, a measly 37 gold? What is that, 10 charged lodestones?
I only hope they find a better way of balancing, I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting my time unless I’m standing at the perfect farm-spot. That’s all I’m gonna say at the moment.
Tribio is correct. White is damage dealt, red the damage received.
Fire – Water …
The logging axe shall be air. Lightning cutting down the tree on the final strike.
I don’t care for semantics in a case like this. Introduce new tiers, new materials, no problem. If that makes those (soulbound!) tools obsolete then I’m with the OP. I would not have bought an unlimited copper/iron or even mithril pickaxe.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/races/human/Cultural-Heavy-Tier-3-Helmet-Petition-1
Supposed to be but you are right.
I think I had 5-6 crates drop for me in the wild so far. Other than the regular mats there was one single use crafting station. Yep, good decision not to spend 1200 gems on something like that.
I know this might sound funny, but what I would like to see is something like fishing.
Essentially the keg brawl, costume brawl and the crab toss are in the same PvP’ish category – add some more relaxing thing to do.
I think he might be thinking of Tequatl and co. I seem to remember seeing them in trailers along with some of the first huge enemies of the personal stories. Even SB was in the trailer if I recall correctly.
I “invested” time in 9 characters so far. Love them all. As a matter of fact the 9th was not supposed to be, I just wanted a starter skin. I should not have played with the character editor. But I blinked. I looked. And the sylvari looked back at me.
You are putting too much pressure on yourself. Recently I’ve decided to mainly play my charr warrior. What do I need conditions for when the mobs drop? Besides, mine are bleeding like crazy, must be my claws.
No class should do everything exceptionally well – that would have to be considered “overpowered”.
Close your eyes and wait which character rises to the top in your mind – you say you’ve played them all and done well with all of them (sPvP).
Hold that image.
Now be. Be ButterOfDeath and command butterflies or let arrows rain from the sky. Your time is now.
Here, consider listening to (something like) this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU7SGn0MeP0
Until I hear consistently that the chances of actually getting something (and by something I mean the special something) out of the chests are like 20% I will stay away from chests or keys for chests or magic WD40 for chest locks or boxes that contain keys for chests or coins that unlock a level with keys for chests.
Thus I am no longer concerned with chest stuff. Be it the one sword or fluffy ear muffs.
Epic.
Time for the weekend and some refreshing beverages.
Skol! Prost! Slainte! Cin Cin! Na zdorovie!
I guess the only way to solve this is to add endless spawning points to each map. Fair is fair. Please add for convenience a lemon stand nearby and a general merchant. Waypoint not too far off please.
If we’re gonna want some lore, how are they gonna explain The Dreamer?
The one that got away. Or the one that did not wake up. A freak accident. Asura magic gone wild!
Just change the unicorns to minotaurs and all will be well and easily explainable.
Btw – I would be more interested in The Moot (cue music staying alive … staying alive)

Finally
Just opened the thread (for the first time) and noticed the button greyed out right away.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Separation-between-EU-and-US-servers
Edit: And after navigating to the thread a second time it still stayed grey.
How about a karka-pick? The shell should be hard enough. Mini-karka’s dancing around the node while you’re at it.
There are so many nice skins and I don’t even think that most of them are a lot smaller than the Juggernaut?
http://dulfy.net/2013/01/20/gw2-hammer-skins-gallery/
The only one where I thought “that’s small” is the golden/seraph hammer.
I’m less concerned about skill, or farming etc. Everything has it’s place in the world of MMO’s from my point of view.
What I am concerned with is the journey. There should be a connection.
Let me put it this way, a while back I crafted the sword Firebringer. I really like it. But there is something missing. I’ll try to convey an example and hope that I’m not getting flamed for it too much – the Paladin mount back when in that other game. That was a moment of proud prancing it around. Personally no other mount has given me the same feeling, no bear or dragon. They were all nice of course, but the journey was … different.
Mad Memories (the back item) and the Fused Gauntlets, those mean more to me than the Firebringer.
Why do you want one of those god awful looking legendaries anyway? The only decent ones are the greatwords and the axe. Just wait till they revamp them to look like they are actually legendary and adjust the mat requirements. As it is right now, I stand to make a fortune off people who want a hideous item from T6 mats, look at it as an opportunity to prepare for the future.
Suffice to say that I don’t like the greatswords – not because of the design per se but they are too broad (which is necessary for the effect). A lot of them are very clever and nice, they just don’t always suit my characters.
On topic – I don’t think the precursor hunt is supposed to help with prices, but give people a more reliable and hopefully “fun” way to obtain one piece of the puzzle.
To me it seems that the economical concerns are absolutely dominating the concerns about fun.
Here is my feedback to something that I did not like.
Compare
The Halloween backpack reward – two similar books. I liked that concept. If you wanted you could get that optical reward for all your characters by playing the content multiple times. Downside was you could not give it to another character since it was character bound.
The Fused Gauntlets – positive side, account bound first. Negative side only available once per account.
I would like to see the same concept as the HoM rewards – make it a skin that I can pick up from a vendor with any character going forward.

Yo soy un charr firecero
De donde crecen las garras
Y antes de morirme quiero
estar en un campo de batalla
Canthanamera
Grito de guerra Canthanamera

Grito de guerra Canthanamera
This ode to Cantha was brought to you by google translate. May the Spanish forgive me.
Edit: Interesting trivia, google canthanamera and google will guide you to the song
(edited by Rouven.7409)
Nooo – he could have provided many useful glow-in-the-dark-sticks and toothpicks!
Should be an account unlock, that’s what it should be. Add a new NPC to the HoM for GW2 skins. Items once, fine – then available as skin moving forward.
Forgive me, for I have to confess that I do tear sheds. Even tents. But only if there are bad guys inside. Really. I’ll be a good kitty from now on and let them come out first.
Or put it another way, I hope that Anet will hold on to their goal that only 5% of they player base will ever get a legendary. (…)
I don’t recall Anet ever stating that as their goal, could you point me towards it?
As I said, the effort to complete this scavenger hunt really should be difficult and time-consuming enough thakitten would still give players contemplation to purchase it on the outpost for the rate it is right now.
(…)
I do agree with this – except for the ending. The market will regulate the rate. The “players” will dictate the value of it just as they are doing it right now. No point trying to argue for a locked in rate.
Time to flip some rare weapons in the 70+ range now.
I imagine something like this.
The living world stays as it is. Once the complete chapter is done however – the main steps are still available in “your” living story – similar to the “personal” story. Something like the dungeon would not work as a 1:1 translation but a lot of the rest could.
Yes, I already dredge my 2 week summer holiday lol.
Dread, I know.
Reading this thread I scrolled back up to find the button greyed out. I did not “like” this thread and it does not show in my upvoted history either.
Hope it helps.
Edit: Navigating there again shows the +1 now again in red – so I assume it’s just a display error.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Even-reviewers-of-mmo-s-have-noticed/first#post2073431
I will hopefully be able to send you a link to a post where it happens exactly the first time I’m looking at a thread – those are the ones I notice the most.
(edited by Rouven.7409)
Nice to see you are still around
I like it, that’s what I call jaw-dropping-awesome.
After reading through this thread, I believe there may be a misunderstanding of icons.
The thumbs up icon is not an indicator that you have voted on a post. It is an indicator of popularity (with star, without star or no thumbs up) based on votes from all users either across the forum or within a thread (with a red underline or not)
The only indicator that you have voted for a post is that the +1 button turns gray.
It is true, I often open up new threads (threads I haven’t read yet) and the +1 button itself shows already grey for me as if I had previously voted. I’ll try to get you a screenshot if that helps?
Seriously? Orr? (…)
Seriously. Before it was patched. After many people complained. You can probably still find the threads.
(…)Because monsters had skills: they slow you down, stun, knockback, and some of them do high damage.(…)
That sounds like Orr. Everyone, come!
It’s quite right the way it is. No thanks to “festivals” where I have to log in every day if I would like the cosmetic reward. Been there, was fun for a while but I’m over it.
Mah house. Mah lawn. Mah sign saying stay off mah lawn.
Ok, I may have made the sign up.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Lost_Shores
Scroll down a bit, very likely the same sign
I love what they’ve done to the place. I would love it even more if the building would take place in real time instead of being delivered with a patch. Oh I so wanted to have a nap in one of those hutts, but they forgot a door – well that’s what you get when you don’t hire professionals and instead use refugees as cheap labour!
You bought the book – now it’s in your inventory – now you have to double-click on it to “read” it – now you are able to spend trait points.
Hope that helps
Could the backpiece not change it’s preference depending on what type of armour the character wears?
If armour = light use backpiece#1
If armour = medium use …
I know I know, dreaming here.
Change it to … wait for it … waaiiit foor it … Gold Find!
Dundundundunnnn.
I kinda wonder why it’s necessary. If this is a first experiment in regards to the comments that Anet acknowledged needing to sacrifice other stats for MF is not fun … why not “simply” raise the drop% for the mobs on that map in general?
Perhaps it is just a solution to also fit the two factions in. Which I find a very fascinating concept and hope they will build on that.
I think I’m starting to understand. You buy gems with real money. Convert x amount of those gems to gold – then later when trying to buy the same amount of gems back with gold realizing it costs more …
Ok, I get that.
I don’t think I can remember any kind of “hint” popping up explaining how it works and when I learnt this I most likely just went “yeah ok, makes sense”.
And henceforth the Secret of Southsun chapter shall be known as Kasmeers Patch.
What are you talking about? John Smith’s last comment was about the totally different question in regards to selling on the TP and he specifically stated again that:
The currency exchange gives you exactly what it shows it will give you.
There is no reason whatsoever to feel tricked – I can exchange 1G right now and receive 30 gems and when I turn around and try to exchange the 30 gems back into gold it will tell me how much I will get before I do it. It’s right there.
Have you ever exchanged currencies at a real bank? There are indeed two rates, depending on which way you are exchanging – you never switch back and forth within a minute, what would the purpose of that even be?
Nothing is swept under the rug, there is no conspiracy and no one is making excuses.
To be fair you hardly notice these things in game. There are no pop ups telling me to buy black lion keys etc – no big “buy me” links littered all over the UI. I receive usually one email and other than that I only see the store when navigating to the TP.
There is no targeted exploitation going on, just some marketing strategies are perhaps a bit overused.
I’m pretty sure there is someone there that looks at all these things and could tell us which the rarest weapon out there is – let’s make it a non-tradeable weapon so as to not upset the economy. If not as an actual number then maybe as a %.
Mercury – this seems to be a language issue. You have not been called a “jerk” – the phrase is “knee jerk reaction”, to quote an online place:
1. an immediate unthinking emotional reaction produced by an event or statement to which the reacting person is highly sensitive; – in persons with strong feelings on a topic, it may be very predictable.
Surely we all want to practice our social/communication skill on a regular basis.
I have never played GW1 myself, but it is called GUILD wars because of an event that happened within the lore.
I personally do not absolutely agree with the dungeon myself. In essence because it breaks the pace. I would have either incooperated all story-dungeons into the personal story or none.
I would ask here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/OPERATION-UNION-Bringing-Players-Together/first
I just checked my up-voted history and my conclusion would be that it is more of a display error. I have noticed many times that the +1 button was greyed out on new posts that I have just viewed (usually the OP of a new thread).
However if all of these would be shown in my up-vote history then that list would be considerably longer.
I’d love for the engineer to receive a Cannon, (…)
I’m envisioning something like this … 5 sec activation time, 240 sec cd – one shot.
