1. FA – even minus 2-4 guilds they have the most experience and can put up superior numbers in EU and NA. Their OCX and SEA are insufficient for T2, but will do the job for silver

2. YB – modest 24 hr overage but I rate them #2 because their casual population is very on board with their defensive-based strategy

3. IoJ – could very well beat YB but no idea how deep their militia lies or how skilled it may be. definitely has an edge in guild coverage and night coverage.

4. HoD – it has the numbers, but their pre-season score does not reflect that. If they actually manage the base level of organization to out blob their opponents they’ll do well. Not enough to break YB’s defense or IoJ’s coverage. Oddly, they’ll probably do better against FA than the other two.

5. SBI – I’m tempted to rank them lower, as SBI will have almost zero depth in casual interest. After two dramatic falls from grace, I’m willing to bet their “civilian” population wants nothing to do with WvW. However they retain some of their pre-season 1 numbers and those that are left have been through the gristmill… Some cases twice

6. CD – another server that could do better than this spot due to good off hours coverage. A sometimes contentious community continually is it’s own worst enemy but they could surprise.

7. BP – a short time ago this would be unthinkable and still feels odd given the talent level is still high on this server. They are still reeling from mass desertions and haven’t had time to catch their equilibrium so I expect them to underperform.

8. NSP – plenty of moxie and reportedly home to many excellent duelists and roamers. This allows their bronze-sized population to over-achieve but it’s hard to see how they could pervail against their league-mates

9. SoR – getting stuck in Silver is just the latest in a long string of indignities that has befallen this server since their crushing disappointment in the first season.

IOJ militia is 0/10
their guilds 0.5/10

With the new patch coming enabling you to fight in town clothes, will they be enabled again in WvW? Seems silly if they don’t.

FA might be losing some guilds, but you have to account for the silver league transfer too. We’ve gotten 3+ new guilds in the past week.

How would you fix it?

How about just transferring to SBI now, and work on getting those 2nd or 3rd place rewards. No one in silver league will be able to compete with the ultra stacked server that will be rank 7 when the season starts. It will either be DB, FA, or Mag (probably FA) who will be 7th, and the winner of silver. The real battle is going to be for 2nd and 3rd.

Most of the silver league has light populations, with coverage disparity. SoR will probably finish last in the silver league, and it seems that IoJ and SBI might be the two going for 2nd and 3rd, that is, unless a lot of people transfer to the free servers in silver.

The catch is, will it be enough to move those servers to the front, and are you willing to stay with them when the season ends (since you will have to pay to leave them).

Not sure if SBI will be in contention for second place.

That’s a matter of perspective. I think that sky ham should be in solo queue. IMO, you have to pay more attention to what your enemy is doing or you will instantly lose. Which is how this game should be anyway. You make a mistake, there should be no chance to recover at all. You should just lose. Unless of course, the enemy screws up even harder.

suppose if they implimented a /duel command which would make the 2 players agreeing to duel strip of stacks and invuln outside to combat of the 2, it may be ok, but I am definitely not up for making maps just for duelers as those already exist in forms I have mentioned. So how come you do not use them ?

There would also have to be limits so that NPCs would not be stuck agro on 2 duelers etc. overall it would take a lot more game resources to make it happen (reprogramming NPC AI, mapping acceptable / unacceptable duel ares for servers to calculate / trakc, etc.) again I would rather have the devs concentrate and work on core issues instead of fluff.

Open world dueling is different from dueling in controlled environments, such as sPvP and OBS. Not to mention sPvP is less flexible in terms of gear choices, and stats/traits/skills are toned down anyway.

I already see a ton of people dueling uninturrapted in the Obsidian Sanctum arena, so its already implimented, the map is already here. The GvG arena is used for this a lot.

Also, WvW is about large epic battles most of all. 1 person dueling does nothing for their server in the grand scheme of things.

Also, you can SPVP, custom arenas (maps) for this purpose already.

Also, There are much bigger and higher priority problems in WvW, for example coverage imbalance, group vs group class balance, and many otehr core game issues which I and many many others would like to see adressed before wasting dev time/resources on stuff which can be considered as “fluff” in the MMO terminology.

Maybe 1 person only dueling doesn’t make a difference, but 1 server has alot of solo roamers. And say you spike 300 people a week with bloodlust, that is 300-900 points for your server. Maybe it’s not as rewarding PPT wise and zerg fighting, but it’s definitely not worthless. Multiply this by however much solo roamers there are on your server and you have a number up in the thousands. I am also from T2, and all 3 servers are within 3k of eachother this week. So 1 person dueling can sort of make a difference.

Lol, backstab is fine as it is. What really needs looking at is S/P and Dire P/P thieves.

Where my team are some % scrubs on the leaderboard except me vs all top 100 their team. They lose every single 1v1, can’t cap points, rotate terribly. Fix MM anet.

Eles are by far the worst class in the game at the moment. They most certainly aren’t able to become “virtually unkillable”, even in WvW, and… Sustained burst? Really? Not only does that not qualify as burst, by definition, but that’s completely untrue anyways. You clearly have never played the class before.

No they are not that bad. People have been complaining about eles ever since they got nerfed awhile back. Playing ele at the time was godmode. Now that it is in a decent spot, most people can’t adapt.

If you’ve never played a defensive oriented ele in WvW, I don’t know what to say to you. I watched two GC thieves and one warrior chasing around an ele the other day. They couldn’t kill him. If that isn’t unkillable, I don’t think you have a clue.

Now tell me this.. Why can a GC ele do more damage to me on my bunker guardian than any other class?

Glass cannon staff ele. You shouldn’t ever die unless you have bad positioning. All other specs suck for large scale combat unless you are like jesus at elementalist

You should probably have sufficient individual skill to duel most zerglings and win. Also that helps to keep you alive in larger fights while maintaining good positioning.
