There needs to be some content that only the highest level players can achieve. Not all content is for casuals. This is a good thing.

The only way to win consistently in the new system is to abuse it. I have 0 games on my druid – and I will swap to my main class after I find a match to take advantage of class based MMR.

That being said, I am something like 33-11 in ranked play, only solo queue, so it might be a small sample size, but the higher you get in MMR (since Anet didn’t reset MMR from the previous system – I ended top 20 before the december 16th patch with a reasonable amount of games) these problems, especially the DCs and losing pips for a win, seem less prevalent than in lower MMRs.

Yes, for several weeks now, FA and SoS have been 2v1 first by YB, then BG, and now TC, just like WvW is supposed to be.

How can 2 servers be 2v1’d in a 3 server matchup?

there is a way to legitimately get into citadel. u can just jump up the slope on the northeast side of the spawn and you’re in.

I for one enjoy the one shot meta. It keeps me on my toes. There is nothing more satisfying than instantly downing someone, giving them no time to react. Doing it from stealth however, is not okay. Doing it from stealth however, is not okay.

Yea, starting with a full life bar isn’t very good etiquette when dueling. Plaguing in a duel, too.

There’s only so much times you can avoid venom well bombs until you get caught by one. That one time you get caught it’s instant game over. Not only this, venoms are a massive problem in small scale. There’s only so much on demand condi clear in small groups.

Keep tagging mechanics are fine.

Dragonbrand is a t3 server that should have dropped to at least t6 many times. They are hard carried by their morning pvdoor crew. All their skilled players have transfered off the moment they were locked in t3. They always come up to t2 then implode, thanks to a certain person’s credit card.

I hope you have upped your detection methods. I’ve never been falsely hit with a RMT ban, but I know others have.

One thing I learned from WoW was that people who said they weren’t RMTing when they were banned… they were.

It’s definitely possible. Server community heads have gotten banned for supposed RMT while raising gold for transfers.

Was playing on my mesmer earlier and downed a power necro with around 8-9k hp left. In the time I took to spike him he downed me from 8k health with a few pulse from downstate auto. There were no minions around either. Wtf?

There is nothing more frustrating than being immobilized mid jump and not being able to do anything at all. Can’t cast spells, can’t AA, wtf is this?

You need to abuse LoS against rangers. Hide behind walls, shadowstep behind them to stop their #2, etc. If you see their point blank shot, you can dodge it really easily. It has an obvious animation.

No, because the most serious wvw player wants to have food buffs to have better chances of beating their opponents. Food buffs are very expensive and the minimal loot you get from wvw isn’t enough. Not even mentioning siege or upgrades

That depends on what kind of wvw player you are. I never have a problem with $$, never play PVE, mix of solo roaming / zerg fights.

IIRC it is statistically impossible for the T1 matchup to change right now. That means NA t3 will always be 1 T2 server vs 2 T4 servers. This will go on until one of the t2 server implodes or one of the t1 servers implode.

When I originally looked at the rankings, I was genuinely suprised to see HOD so close to the top, I mean having 15 servers below us, and I feel as though even our BLs have pretty skimpy coverage… What is going on beneath us?

If there are servers with very close ‘glicko’ ratings, it sounds like we should be perfect matchs for each other, and yet there always seems to be a server dominating the other 2.

There are 4 tier two servers at the moment. Whoever is in T3 will be steamrolled no matter what. To further elaborate, the rating between the #7 server (the supposed top of t3) and the #8 server (2nd place in t3) is over 300. Once DH comes up we might be able to see closer matches.

As for why you are jumping rating: the answer is simple. HoD did a lot better than expected against the #7 server, SoS. That’s not to say they won though, they just did better than the system expected them. SoS is 300 rating over HoD, so there was almost no way they were going to move up unless they really really stomped you guys.

I have no problem with any particular server. Only problems I see if you actually do want balance is extreme recruitment and collusion with enemy commanders. But doing both at the same time jeez, now that is actually quite sad.

Collusion? We’re just focusing YB. If DB and SoS don’t want to hit us, that’s not our fault. Where is your solid, hard evidence that any collusion at all is happening? We’ve been trying to recruit OCX and SEA for the past year and the half, we weren’t actively looking for NA guilds, they just decided to come on their own.

The proof is commanders and guild leaders admitting it openly on the private forums.
